Chapter Text
Wolfstar:
Sirius enters the classroom and sits next to Remus. They were so close that he could smell Remus's old books and chocolate scent. Professor Mcgonagall smiles at them and turns to the class.
Suddenly, without warning, both boys could hear bells tinkling. They looked up to see mistletoe floating above their heads. Sirius blushed and ducked his head down. Remus covers his face with his hands and sighed heavily.
As hot as Remus was, Sirius did not want to kiss him. Sure, Remus was probay a good kisser and whenever he smiles at Sirius his heart would skip a beat but he doesn't want to kiss him. After all, everyone thinks of slamming their best mates against the wall and kissing them. Everyone likes watching their best mates shirtless.
So Sirius and Remus ignored the mistletoe. After class Sirius leaves the classroom alone. He and Remus have separate classes now. Sirius in Muggle Study and Remus in Care for Magical Creatures. At first he teased the werewolf about choosing the class but then he stopped, having realised that Remus was ignoring him.
Sirius walked into Muggle Studies and sat down.
"How the hell did I get in here?"
Sirius quickly turned his head to the person next to him. Remus was sitting next to him, confused. Sirius was also confused.
"Don't you have Care for Magical Creatures?" He asked.
"Yes but I'd like to know how I got here." Remus looked around, still confused.
Sirius nods. They hear the soft tinkle of bells and looked up. Mistletoe hung above them, showering red glitter on the two boys. Remus and Sirius looked at each other, blushing. For a while they didn't move. They both just kept looking at each other. Sirius cleared his throat and teared his gaze away from Remus, busying himself with getting ready for the class.
Although he never listened to his usual classes he paid attention to this one. After all, he could still piss his mother off even though he was disowned. The mistletoe kept hanging above them, showering glitter and jingling annoyingly. Sirius was unable to pay attention, distracted by the mistletoe above him.
When the class was over Sirius got up and ran out the class. Remus yelped as he was magically dragged after Sirius, unable to have time to grab his stuff. The mistletoe chased after the boys, persisting. Sirius was getting frustrated. He ran down the corridor quickly, trying to escape the mistletoe.
He passed his brother, who gave him a confused look and looked even more confused when he saw the mistletoe. He shook his head, took a step forward and had to press his back against the wall to avoid colliding with Remus, who was still being magically dragged after Sirius. Regulus frowned after the werewolf, wondering what was going on.
Remus and Sirius walked/dragged to the Great Hall for lunch. When Sirius sat down Remus was unceremoniously dumped next to him. Breathing heavily, he glared at the mistletoe.
"What the fuck?!" He yelled. "What is happening?!"
Sirius gasped. "Remus! What did I tell you?!" He asked, putting a hand to his chest.
Remus turned his glare to Sirius. "Now is not the time to lecture me about my swearing. That thing," He put emphasis on thing, pointing at the mistletoe. "Is trying to get us to do something!"
Sirius frowned. "I think it wants us to kiss."
Remus, who had poured himself a glass of juice, took a sip and spat his juice out. "I'm not gay!" He yelled.
Sirius raised an eyebrow at Remus, not believing him. "In year 3 you were checking a guy out." He pointed out.
"Okay, maybe I am a little gay. But still! I don't like my best friend like that." Remus took a sip of his juice.
Sirius sighed and drifted into his thoughts. Maybe he was gay though. Maybe he liked Remus. He liked everything about Remus. The smile that makes him swoon. How, whenever he laughs, his brown eyes would twinkle. How the light reflects in his eyes, turning them from chocolate brown to a soft hazel. He liked his sense of style, although it was atrocious but he thinks it suits Remus. He likes everything about Remus.
Taking a bite of his pie, he sneaks a glance at his best friend. And mentally swore. He had an insane crush on his best friend. And it wasn't the type that could go away if you wanted it to. It was the type where he wanted to know everything about him. (Y'all I'm asexual. I have no clue how non Ace folks act okay?) He wanted to know what it would be like to see him naked. He wanted to wear his sweaters. He wanted to kiss him breathlessly.
He glanced at the mistletoe, still hanging above them. He swore that if the mistletoe had a face its expression would be a smug cheekiness. He ate his pie.
Unfortunately Remus Lupin, Werewolf McWerewolf, wouldn't like him. Because they are friends. And they are guys. And although Remus was a little gay there was no way in the seven hells Remus would like Sirius back.
A little while later and Sirius and Remus were standing on the Astronomy Tower, smoking. The stars above them were twinkling, unobscured by clouds. The last few days were rainy and bleak so they didn't have an opportunity to stargaze. Remus points at a star.
"Is that yours?" He asked.
Sirius nods, humming. "Yep."
Remus hums. They hear a soft, cheeky jingling noise and they looked up. The mistletoe was back. Sirius looked back at the stars. Would it hurt to kiss Remus? He extinguished his cigarette and threw it to the ground. He turned, grabbed Remus by the front of his shirt, and pulled him to him. Remus yelped in surprise, which turned to a muffled noise as their lips locked.
Sirius let go of Remus and looked away, embarrassed. Remus extinguished his cigarette and looked at Sirius. They were both blushing. Sirius was breathing heavily, unsure if he ruined his friendship or started something better.
Remus put his finger under Sirius's chin, turning his head. He leaned in and kissed Sirius softly. Sirius moaned and kissed him back. The kiss turned desperate and the two clung to each other. The mistletoe above them disappeared with a puff of red rose petals, which drifted down to the boys gently.
The petals got tangled in their hairs but the boys either didn't care or didn't notice. They had kept kissing. But they had to get some air. They reluctantly pulled away. Remus laughed softly and Sirius smiled.
They put their foreheads together softly and closed their eyes, both happy that each other liked each other. And so, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin stood on the Astronomy Tower, heads together and smiles in between them.
"Je t'aime." Sirius whispered with a soft smile and kissed Remus again.
