Aftermath

Summary:

°°°°°°°°°°°°
“Hey slug..”

God, would that mummy ever learn to shut his mouth?
He already let him stay and gave him some of his wine.

On second thought, Chuuya knew that would never happen.
He simply looked at Osamu, indicating that he was listening.

“Mori..”

He took a moment, then continued, his voice slightly quieter.

“He bargained with the president to have one of our people join the port mafia in exchange for protection..”

The red head turned his head to look at him, an eyebrow raised as he took a sip of his wine.

“Would..you be happy if I were to join again?”

The brunette man’s eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly.
A detail anyone would miss.

But not Chuuya.

“Don’t lie and cover it up, you know that I can tell when you lie“

He averted his gaze, and took another sip.

“No. Of course not.”

Work Text:

Nakahara Chuuya was a very patient man.

Well, sometimes.

(Definitely not when it came to Osamu Dazai though.)

(That man was annoyance if the word was a person.)

Said red head was walking thru his penthouse hallway, his goal being his kitchen (and maybe wine Cellar) as he stopped for just a moment to adore the rain that was pounding against his windows and the slight thunder he heard thru his thick walls and windows.

Chuuya blinked, then continued his way down the hallway.

Said man finally reached his kitchen, letting out a soft, almost silent sigh.

Saying Nakahara was stressed was an understatement.

Because, well, the man just spend a whole Day with Dazai!
Who would not be stressed after something as vile as that.

Chuuya didn’t even make a sound as he swiftly took out a dagger from who knows where, letting out a scoff as he threw it to his side.

“What do you want you stinky fish.”

The ginger man glared at Dazai, who had (once again, unsurprisingly) broken into his penthouse.

“I’m too tired to deal with your shitty antics today.“

Said brunette man had caught the dagger that his former partner had thrown at him, a playful smirk crossing his face.

The one that Chuuya despised so much..but did he really? That something Nakahara asked himself on a daily. He hated the fact that Osamu Dazai was on his mind everyday, the way his dimples were shown every time he gave someone that fake ass smile of his. I hate him so much… But did the red head really? Were his own feelings that he had tried to bury so many times, so long ago betraying him once more?

The brunette’s words were what took Nakahara out of his train of thoughts.

“Woah! So violent as always! Is this how you greet your guests??”

Well, Osamu knew that he wasn’t really Chuuya’s guest, but he had promptly ignored that fact.

He plastered on a rather..’annoying’ (in his former partner’s words) expression, making his way over to the, already annoyed to the brink) Chuuya.

“Ne ne chibi~!”

The man he was referring to with that nickname glared at him, too exhausted for his bullshit.

“Don’t be like that now!”

To Chuuya’s disappointment, Dazai continued.

“We just defeated the rat and it’s gang, let’s celebrate together yeah?”

The man covered in bandages smiled at him.
Nakahara’s eyebrows furrowed as he let out a small groan, his gaze piercing through his former partners body.

“You’re just after my expensive wine, aren’t you.”

Dazai’s breath got caught in his throat, eyes widening ever so slightly.

“You would break your promise by doing that, right…?”

A beat.

“All the good things up until now…wouldn’t have any purpose at all.”

His chocolate brown eyes stared at him.

“Besides..”
Nakahara continued.
“You’ve changed…you look more…lively…happy.”

Osamu’s eyes went wide.

He stared at the table in front of him, slowly learning how to breathe again as he looked at the person in front of him with shock…and another emotion Chuuya was unable to read.

Wouldn’t have been the first time in his ‘life’.

“Now don’t look at me like that you creep.”

Ocean blue eyes met Brown ones.

“I knew where you had ran off and hid those past four years.”

He looked away.

“I just didn’t tell the boss at that time…because I knew what happened. Everything.”

Silence.

Dazai didn’t understand…but at the same time, he understood everything his former partner…his lover had just said to him.

Chuuya looked at him, their eyes locking once more.
But this time, it was different.
Everything was.

“Well, I did find out only two days after you left”

The blue eyes man shrugged.

“But…I’m your partner Osamu.”

His breath got caught once more at the words the man in front of him spoke his name, eyes staring at his eyes, and then they wandered to his soft, chapped lips.

“You think I’m too dumb to even find you?”

He leaned his head back, eyes closed.
He always knew.

Of course he did.

The brown haired man stood up, slowly making his way over to him.

Time felt like it stood still in that moment.

At the same time, everything happened so..fast.

Their eyes, closed.
Their lips colliding.
Their body’s touching.
Their arms around each other.
Their hands intertwined.

They knew they shouldn’t.

If anything, they should’ve learned so much from the last times this happened.

But Osamu couldn’t resist those blue, captivating, Human eyes.

And Chuuya longed for him.

He knew that.

And even if they knew that they shouldn’t do this all over again.

They longed for each other.

They’re hands exploring each others body’s and body parts.
Their tongues tasting each other with every kiss they shared.

They like to use things against each other while bickering.

But this.
This was something both of them refused to use against each other.

Even if they wouldn’t want to acknowledge it most of the times.

They love each other.
They’re each others drug.

Dazai’s lips against Chuuya’s neck.
The way he would always let out soft moans and whimpers.
The way he would speak Osamu’s name.

So soft.
So eager.
So wanting.
So needing.

The brown haired man would never forget the way his partner spoke his name anytime they where alone. Only as the two of them.

The way he would always say it when something was wrong with Dazai.

Chuuya and Osamu adored each other.
They would never let anyone else know.

Well, some knew.
But they didn’t care.

They see each other as lovers.
They see each other as partners.
They see each other as human.

That was something the both of them would forever cherish.

Osamu Dazai would forever adore the storm that Chuuya Nakahara was.

And Chuuya Nakahara would forever adore how human Osamu Dazai was.

They where sure of that.
