Work Text:

Phuwin Tangsakyuen liked typical days.

It doesn't sound delightful in a classic sense, but he meant a day wherein nothing happens unfavorably—a day that just flowed swimmingly, without setbacks or difficulty.

It's easy to underestimate the beauty of a typical day because it is viewed as colorless and insignificant, concisely forgettable, but it actually means you made it in one piece. You're safe. You're still okay. Nothing happened that will affect the next days of your life differently.

And that is unlike a day when your boss who normally unsees your existence shot you with a stink eye.

That could be out of the ordinary but Phuwin would rather not want that. He'd rather days go by without anything whatsoever happening at all.

Well it's not like it's unnatural to disappoint your boss every once in a while, Phuwin knew that, but being hired as a personal secretary of an executive who didn't like you at all could feel eternally disquieting.

Phuwin fought the urge to not flit his eyes towards the figure of his boss watching him through the open doors of his office, but he couldn't help it. Pond Naravit was leaning on his desk, hands interlocked against his lips and glaring at Phuwin like he's casting him a curse.

Phuwin quickly shot back at the copying machine which was still halfway from producing the extra copies of the proposition they're supposed to distribute for the Planning Conference at 9am, but they're clearly running late, and the man in the room looked like detonating any second then.

Phuwin wanted to sob from the pressure but he's too busy binding papers for that. He could swear he had everything prepared the night before. He was just shortly informed this morning that there were additional people joining the meeting and he had to print out more copies than usual.

"You should have double checked"

He knew that this was what Pond Naravit’s gonna tell him if he explains himself so he better just shut up like he always did.

It was par for the course as the executive had never been laidback when it came to Phuwin. It was always like walking on thin ice in his presence, because he’s propelled to splinter at Phuwin at any weight.

The moment the copier stopped printing, Pond Naravit took it as his cue to get up, causing Phuwin to jolt on his feet before frantically grabbing the last batch of sheets from the machine and placing it on the punch binder. I’m not yet done!—but the boss started walking off and Phuwin quickly pulled the lever down, having no time to even be surprised at how he managed to punch the whole pile at once. After shooting the last batch through the comb, he frantically stacked all the print-outs on his arm and ran after Pond Naravit who’s already passed him 10 steps ahead.

His boss boarded the elevator and Phuwin had to stretch his steps to catch up, pushing one leg to block the closing doors while Pond Naravit simply stood there at the center, stolidly regarding his entry. Phuwin quietly scooted to the back, resettling the documents on his arms and keeping his breaths down.

He carefully moved his gaze towards his boss’ direction and saw the man’s hardened jaw. It was apparent from his point of view as Pond Naravit stood half a head taller than him, and it was perfectly eye-level Phuwin could wince from the clarity of it.

Pond Naravit was never the type to lecture, but that demeanor of his was actually much scarier to Phuwin. He always seemed sedated that he might just strike once worn off. He didn’t like saying anything. He didn’t want to say anything. The man’s stare alone spoke a multitude of revulsion. Phuwin wasn’t sure if he preferred it or not. In the four years he’s worked under NARAVIT Landholdings, the Director hadn’t breathed fire on him ever yet, but he always came off unfavorable of him at the same time.

Why wouldn’t Phuwin try applying to a different department? Maybe he’d experience a gracious boss there who actually wanted him.

He couldn’t.

Because as far as his qualifications deserved, he’d actually just fast tracked to his job position now.

The elevator opened at the topmost floor where the largest conference room was located. The Planning Conference didn't typically take place there. It gave Phuwin a strange feeling of smallness, as if he'd entered a titan realm. He'd gone up this floor a couple of times but never for a meeting. It was mostly for socials and lucrative corporate parties, occasions where he didn't have to feel visible. He couldn't understand why they didn't just use the main meeting room.

He realized he's slowing down so he quickened his steps to keep up with his boss, and in no time they'd reached the massive door. They slipped in very quietly but all heads turned upon their arrival.

The odd weight of attention intrigued Phuwin until he finally noticed the man seated in the middle of the room.

The Chairman was there.

Phuwin let out a soundless wince at the sight of the most powerful man in their company. Of all days he could screw up a conference meeting, this day really crashed bullseye on him.

Whether the contingents were displeased or not by their tardiness, nobody showed it on their faces. It was eerily quiet but it was expected since the top executive was there. There were two very long board tables slanted on both sides of the hall and they were completely occupied by so many section heads as the Chairman sat at a small middle table alone.

The number of people felt so nauseating. The attendance was probably triple than it's supposed to be. Everybody looked exceptionally well-behaved in their high-end corporate suits making Phuwin feel underdressed in his sale-priced dress shirt and slacks. He should’ve worn a coat at least.

Pond Naravit was expected to sit at the middle table but he chose to approach the left board table. He just sat there for a few seconds though, breathed out, and stood again.

This was the first time he was ever late. He always came prepared to every meeting. He disliked people wasting his time, so he never wasted people’s time.

Until today.

Pond Naravit started making his way to the front and Phuwin hopped on his feet and went around distributing the hardcopies among the intended executives in the room. He found himself still shaking due to the cramming he did earlier.

Phuwin stared at his watch; they’re 25 minutes late. A pound occurred in his chest at that. He always felt this disturbing sensation every time he troubled his boss to whatever degree.

It was really dismaying because everyone in this room couldn’t afford to be inconvenienced. Their time was exceedingly valuable, and their presence demanded respect. Making them wait was utter disrespect.

The digital version of the proposition flashed on the white screen, and Pond Naravit stood beside it, scanning all the faces in the room before pausing at the Chairman’s. Unlike a few minutes ago where he looked peeved to the core, this time he appeared dead set. Phuwin knew his boss was still steamed as hell but right at that moment, he stood there with an unapologetic stance, as if telling everyone they ought to wait.

Phuwin could only view the Chairman from the side but it was incredible how reflective his countenance was with the younger version of him standing up front. It was as if a mirror stood between them showing the past and the present from each side of the line. They both shared the same chiseled facial structure, but the most prominent of all was their pacific eyes, as everyone called them. They glowered with depth, exuding an intimidating exterior.

There was no doubt they were father and son.

Pond Naravit bowed a little and smiled. It wasn't often that Phuwin witnessed that smile, because Pond Naravit always had the pass to not offer it to anyone. He didn't need to play nice. His interests were not at anyone's mercy. This might be the only exception as the person given the action to was the ultimate boss, but it didn't feel that way the moment Phuwin saw how the chairman nodded to it.

The young executive clicked on his small remote and began presenting.

He didn't waste time doing the conventional pleasantries—he simply greeted everyone collectively. Then, he straight-off rolled the agenda.

He didn’t actually need to conduct the presentation himself, he had competent personnel to do it for him, but he'd always been a spearhead, especially when a project was too ambitious and critical for anyone else to carry.

The project he's introducing was roughly two years in the making. It was an exclusive plan only a few in their department were given the responsibility to be involved in. Phuwin witnessed how meticulously his boss studied the location, constantly traveling to and from it, ensuring not only its suitability for housing but also its promise for other industrial investments. Pond Naravit was wholly dedicated to the project, and the proposal was carefully drafted over several months. Those months were incredibly challenging for Phuwin as he had to generate numerous construction plans to bring Pond Naravit's vision to life. Phuwin would wager that a portion of his brain decayed just from the continuous cycle of executing and revising the man's endless corrections.

Now look at him right there... carrying himself so fine as if he's gotten it all together, speaking to everyone as if he's so upright.

On the outset Pond Naravit would instantly strike at anyone that he's someone virtuous, a full-blown mature man that would never cause anyone a headache.

He spoke with so much credence, so much intellect, and so much consideration to every little thing that Phuwin couldn't make sense that behind such a man was an absolute.... f-boy.

Pond Naravit was regal in so many ways that it just didn't coincide. It didn't coincide that he could treat everything so rationally yet fail to rationalize his immoderate behavior. Phuwin had lost count of the number of times he'd stopped women from barging into their office, furious and completely out of their minds, attempting to ambush his boss.

And what's ridiculous was how Phuwin couldn't even wholeheartedly detest this matter because it was the very reason he got this job in the first place—a well-paying job for which he wasn't qualified to begin with.

When he sent out his application here, he was really only applying for an entry job, but suddenly his application climbed to the upper floors. Before he knew it he was being interviewed by some big bosses. Not the HR bosses, but the big, big bosses. He could clearly remember the Chairman and his wife being there. He didn't know them then, but he gauged that they were powerful people. He also didn't know what position he was being thrown into, but he just went with it like the hopeful job-seeker that he was. At that time, he'd been job-seeking for almost a year with no luck at all, not even a callback from employers, so having the chairwoman smile at him when he entered the room lighted up his soul.

It didn't even take a day before he was informed that he got hired and must start immediately.

He'd be the secretary of the Chief Director of the Planning Department. He wouldn't just be a staff of some supervisor, he'd accelerated to one of the top offices in the company—to the only son of the chairman of the entire conglomerate.

It was like he only got the job because he went there at the right day in the right hour he handed out his application, and the big bosses were looking for someone specific, someone dissimilar from all the applicants they're currently getting at that time.

And right on his very first day when he found out what that was.

A male.

They're looking for a male applicant for a position imposed to be occupied by a female.

Imposed by a darn head who's so unfit to designate his parents had to shift the course for him.

Pond Naravit was just a problematic case in terms of keeping a professional relationship with his female secretaries. It turned into a never-ending cycle of selecting an attractive secretary to fool around with, leading her on, making her want more, only to fire her the moment she acted on it. And then on to the next. It became so recurrent that it no longer looked good anymore. It wouldn't be a problem if he kept his catting activities off of his working environment, but he couldn't help it. Pond Naravit never made passes at women.

And what a perfect solution it was to designate a secretary that isn't female, one that Pond Naravit does not want.

If he doesn't like his secretary, then he wont flirt with this secretary, and he'd finally have someone that might last long under his management.

So that became the major criteria.

And that was how Phuwin came into the picture.

Obviously Pond Naravit disapproved of him the moment he was taken into his office. The man was dumbfounded. He stared at Phuwin as if there had been an error in his existence in the room. It didn't help that Pond Naravit had a face of an aristocrat. They make people feel small just by looking the way they are. Phuwin thought of aborting the mission, but then, that was NARAVIT Landholdings they were talking about. First of all, never in the dreams of any regular graduate could they imagine having a chance to get into such a leading empire. It was a privilege to even step foot in their organization, and Phuwin was granted access. Second, he couldn't afford to be unemployed any longer. He couldn't keep asking his parents for pocket money when he was already bound to fend for himself. Third, this was the only company that hired him after so many rejections. He would be absolutely stupid to give it up just like that.

So, there was no escaping this boss.

Because this boss was the reason why he’s here.

Pond Naravit would always be Phuwin's foundation despite his disfavor, because as heavy as oppositions must be considered, Phuwin wouldn't have ever gotten this well-paying occupation if not for Pond Naravit's opposition of him in the first place. Pond Naravit was the doorway that allowed Phuwin to live a comfortable life, afford good things, and make himself part of society.

"Phuwin Tangsakyuen..."

The sound of his own name finally took Phuwin out of his trance. He jerked, eyes refocusing at his boss who'd actually been staring back at him all along.

"I said," Pond Naravit tightened his lips. "unlock the blue agreement and show it on the screen."

Oh shoot. It wasn't in the drive he sent out for the presentation.

"Um, it's on my computer Mr. Naravit. Please give me a mome—"

But Pond Naravit cocked at him with an irritated hands-on-hips gesture. Phuwin couldn't waste time all frozen there so he scampered off the conference room and sprinted to the elevator. Inside, he started blaming himself for not adding all the related documents together with their presentation. But again, that wasn't his fault. That agreement wasn't supposed to be discussed yet. He wasn't the one who wasn't following the plan.

Why couldn't this just be a normal day?

There's always this swelling sense of freedom clocking out on a friday, especially that of a bumpy week. A lot of the young corporate slaves spend their friday nights out on friends & drinks as a way to destress from work, but Phuwin liked his friday nights at home, at his cozy apartment, tucked in his mega soft sheets.

Every once in a while he'd meet-up with friends, dine in a good restaurant and chat about life and random things, but this weekend called for maximum recharge. Phuwin would just restore all the dying cells in his body after being terrorized by Pond Naravit's icy glares throughout the week since the Planning Conference letdown.

It was like the usual treatment, only this time Pond Naravit had something new to radiate about Phuwin's incompetence.

The smug must have greatly rejoiced adding another point to the reasons why Phuwin Tangsakyuen wasn't worthy to be his secretary.

In the beginning, Phuwin thought he'd just have to work extra hard and Pond Naravit would lighten-up to him eventually, but it's been four years since, and that frigid creature never saw him as anything but "that cockblock" to his amusement.

During Phuwin's first months, Pond Naravit orchestrated a hundred different ways to have him kicked out of his office. He condescended about every single thing Phuwin lacked, questioned his credentials, and assigned an impossible number of workloads so he couldn't deliver, but Phuwin was always protected by the motive of his employment.

And so Pond Naravit could do nothing else but treat him like dust.

Pond Naravit was vindictive, but it came with a perk too that Phuwin could afford a good life. He never had a problem spoiling his parents with things they liked and providing them what they needed. He was able to help with the bills at home too and he'd managed to fund his mom's small retail business.

There was so much relief in making your parents proud about you having a sustainable job, but the best perk had to be the financial capacity to afford a place of your own. It was easy to get an apartment alright, but acquiring a sizable one in the middle of the metro was a privilege Phuwin never imagined he'd ever get.

Growing up, he always shared a bedroom with his younger brother Fourth, as their home only had two bedrooms, so now that he's able to have a space all for himself he's really thankful. He could finally have his privacy and solitude whenever he needed it. Not that he didn't like Fourth around, but it was nice to have some control over your sanctuary. He'd bet Fourth liked it that he'd moved out too. The kid could finally have their bedroom for himself and he could study in peace and have more space for himself.

Phuwin's situation seemed polar but he'd learned to look at things side to side.

For now he'd just sleep the night off, sleep everything away, heal—when his most dreaded ringtone started booming.

The specific sound had such a strong grip on his system that he was up on an instant, wide eyes staring hard at his screen and trying to make sense of the name flashing on it.

It's past 1 oclock in the morning, why the hell was Pond Naravit calling him?

"H-Hello? Mr. Naravit?"

Phuwin closed his eyes hard and started chanting a prayer.

"Hello? Hi!" It's a different voice.

Phuwin opened his eyes and looked over his screen again.

"Mr. Naravit?" He asked again this time with a questionable tone.

"Hey uh, this is not Mr. Naravit." There was a little bit of amusement in the person's tone over the line, but it was friendly. Phuwin could hear jazz music playing in the background. "—but he's here with me. I'm Dunk by the way. You're a workmate?"

"Yes—why do you have Mr. Naravit's phone?"

"Because Mr. Naravit here.... is dead drunk, and he doesn't have anybody here so I have to use his phone to call someone to pick him up. Sorry about that." Dunk said almost rapping. "I'm a bartender here at Quantum Leap."

"He's not.... with anyone?" Phuwin couldn't believe it.

"Yes. He's alone. Been alone. Since he got here."

That's super odd.

"Not even.... with a woman?"

"Nope. No woman. No man. Nobody."

Oh no.

Oh gosh No.

When Phuwin didn't speak for a couple of seconds, Dunk spoke again. "Are you still there?"

"Y-Yes." Phuwin was at a loss. He'd been dying the whole week to get away from Pond Naravit and now someone was telling him that he has to pick that smug up?

"Is it a bad time? I'll just call someone e—"

"N-N-N-No I'll get him." Phuwin worried Dunk might call a client that he refused the save. He also didn't know a single of his boss' friends so he couldn't suggest someone specific. "Don't call anyone else anymore alright? I'll be right there."

How Phuwin ended up out under the cold dead of night was still unbelievable to him. Just a few minutes ago he was in the comforts of his bed and now he's off to deal with the bane of his life.

He stood a bit, facing the metallic exteriors of Quantum Leap and instantly perceiving the elite energy of the structure. He was almost barred in because of his clothes; a simple blue shirt and jeans inside an overcoat, but when he stated his purpose the watchman easily confirmed his access. The bartender from the phonecall must have relayed his arrival.

If the bar seemed intimidating outside, it didn't compare to the mood inside. It was populated with affluent youths in fancy clothes Phuwin would never encounter on the streets. The whole place was adorned in ash and gold and rust pigments with elegant chesterfields sectioned in exclusive lounges.

It didn't take a lot of scanning until Phuwin caught sight of the only solo person seated at a big lounge by the right corner. He quickly made his way towards his boss and the man still had a drink in his hand, his head sluggishly swaying.

Phuwin took a seat across, but Pond Naravit didn't mind him. He was real smashed. He was totally out of earth and was staring at nowhere.

Phuwin was amused by the sight. He'd never seen Pond Naravit this uncovered. The man was always frigid at work in his perfectly ironed suit and slicked-back hair, but right at the moment his long strands were a little unkempt, and his lips were in a cute pout. It was surreal.

Pond Naravit took a huge shot, reaching out to get the bottle of liquor on the table but Phuwin snatched it on time. The action caused Pond Naravit to dart at him, and Phuwin's heart boomed. All through their history, Phuwin had never met Pond Naravit's eyes. Not in a way directly. This was the very first time, and it felt like being pierced straight through. The stare turned to glare, but Phuwin gripped the bottle tight on his side.

A number of seconds passed, and Pond Naravit continued to glare, his cheeks so flushed, his lips even more pouting. Then, in a quick force, he reached his glass out to Phuwin like a little boy.

The action was so unexpected Phuwin sniggered right off. Never had he imagined he'd ever see Pond Naravit like this.

When he didn't move, Pond Naravit urged his glass impatiently.

"No. That's the last one." Phuwin said boldly.

"Pour."

"No."

Pond Naravit pouted angrily.

"Pour."

"No."

The drunk man stood up at Phuwin's resistance, but as soon as he did, he wobbled over that Phuwin rushed to his side and held him in place.

As Pond Naravit fell against him, Phuwin caught up a breath.

They were almost... hugging.

No, they're literally hugging.

Touching Pond Naravit alone felt like an impossible experience but being this close to him felt a thousand times impossible.

Phuwin quickly swivelled from their position, snaking Pond Naravit's arm around his neck before he could even realize what just happened. He placed his other arm on the man's waist and shoved all his observations away.

The said person grumbled and Phuwin turned to him, only to regret it because his face was so close. Phuwin quickly looked away, but found himself slowly peeking again. Pond Naravit's eyelids were fluttering slowly and it was the softest Phuwin had ever seen him in his life. He was so different like this.

"Hey you're here." A man who Phuwin easily perceived as Dunk, approached them. He was tall and lanky but with a very friendly atmosphere.

"Yeah," Phuwin snapped out of himself and offered a tight-lipped smile. "We're going now."

"Oh, right." Dunk quickly slipped through Pond Naravit's other arm to help Phuwin, grabbing the boss' coat and phone that was lying on the couch.

Dunk assisted them until they got to the parking lot. They tapped Pond Naravit's pockets and fished his smart key, tracking his car's location easily. Phuwin trembled at the thought that he'd be driving his boss' luxury car with his amateur driving skills but he just wanted to get this over with. He thanked Dunk before getting in the car and the bartender gave him a cool salute as acknowledgement.

Phuwin felt shivers as he scanned the sterling interior surrounding him. He felt so out of place. Sitting at the driver's seat alone felt like a mistake. He'd only driven one car in his life and that's his father's subcompact. In far contrast this car was fairly spacious. He studied the sides and stepped on the brake to get the feel of it.

He turned to check at his groggy boss at the backseat before taking a lungful of breath.

"Alright. Let's get you home."

*

Pond Naravit owned a number of residences. As far as Phuwin knew, there's one at Sukhumvit, one at Silom, one at Sathorn, and two to three others off the record. Phuwin had access to one of them, and it was the unit at Sukhumvit, where he's given authority to get and drop things as per Pond Naravit's instruction. It was the young boss' business home, and thank god Phuwin knew a place where he could dump his boozer's ass tonight.

He let out a breath of relief as he finally stopped the engine at the parking lot, secured and unscathed. The ride was in cruise control as his boss only gabbled throughout the ride but was appreciably well-put.

Phuwin opened the backseat door and pulled the drunken man out of the car, handling him in the same position as he did at the bar. Right that instant, he felt their mass contrast once again. Not only was Pond Naravit exceedingly tall, he was toned and broad too, while Phuwin was as petite as a green bean, thereby his struggle in dragging the man up the topmost floor of the tower block.

It didn't help that Pond Naravit was just grazing his feet on the floor that Phuwin could feel the man's entire weight on his shoulders. It's like carrying two sacks of rice bagged in oversized sacks. He managed to get a bit of rest as they boarded the elevator and soon exerted all his strength in dragging the giant towards his apartment unit finally

By the time they made it to the door, Phuwin thought he's going to collapse already. With his last strength, he accessed the door lock and surrendered his way inside. His knees gave out the moment they made it past the short entryway, and he crouched down, letting go of his boss' flank and causing the man to slip away.

Phuwin realized it shortly, and he latched his boss back again by the arm with a panicked force, pulling him towards himself that their chests collided with each other. The impact had Phuwin staggering backwards that he was already bracing for a crash, placing his palm on Pond Naravit's forehead so it wouldn't knock on the floor.

But in perfect chance his back was met by a concrete wall. His boss thudded against him unharmed, and Phuwin cried out in distress.

He hooked his arm back through Pond Naravit's underarms so he could fix up their positions, holding him a little better and deciding to stay like that for a while.

He took huge breaths in and out, his head falling back, steadying his heart rate. He didn't want to move anymore. He couldn't move anymore.

After some time in the midst of recovering his strength, Phuwin felt a weird movement on his neck.

That's when he slowly recognized the moment he's in;

He and his boss were holding each other for dear life, and the proximity they're sharing was way too personal.

This was far different from the hug they'd chanced at the bar earlier; this was them clinging to each other, pressed as one.

The tug from earlier probably stirred the giant off his snooze because the body against Phuwin's body wasn't wilting anymore.

Pond Naravit straightened his back a bit, but he kept his face planted on Phuwin's shoulder still. His hands that were loosely hanging a while ago suddenly made it to Phuwin's hips, but that wasn't enough to apall the smaller man, because along with that was his boss dabbing his nose on his shoulder line.

As the circumstance finally dawned on Phuwin, he found his body tensing from the toes up.

Pond Naravit was sniffing him, and he was sniffing him real good. The man was traversing his way to his throat, burying his face there for a while and nuzzling at the skin that shivered in his trace.

Phuwin sucked in a breath, too stunned to fathom what was happening. The amount of closeness he was having with his boss tonight reached overplus against all the years they'd actually interacted with each other. It was more believable to think this was a dream than an actual reality, because he and his boss sharing the same space as each other was against the natural order of the universe and just incredibly plot-defying.

But then again, his boss was hell sloshed right now and didn't know what he was doing.

And even though Pond Naravit didn't know what he was doing, he still had this great power over Phuwin because the smaller man stood limp in his proximity. Phuwin was dumbstruck and powerless, shackled beneath the built of the person before him.

Pond Naravit ran his nose from Phuwin's throat to his collarbones in a pace Phuwin had never been introduced to before. He breathed in the neckband of Phuwin's shirt, leading himself to the other side and taking in as much of Phuwin's scent, but the coat was blocking his exploration.

The hands that were on Phuwin's hips flawlessly made their way to the lapel of his coat, sliding them apart to get the fabric out of the way.

And it was effortless.

In no time Phuwin's coat was on the floor, leaving him in his blue shirt, indefensible.

Phuwin was now gripped in both arms and Pond Naravit never stopped inspecting him. The taller man stretched the neckline of his shirt to the right, exposing his skin to the air, freely roaming the length of his bony shoulder, then back to his throat and up his jaw.

Phuwin's heart hitched. This was getting dangerous.

He retracted his hands shakily but Pond Naravit pulled him swiftly by the waists and pressed their bodies even more intimately.

The young boss' enormous frame was swallowing him whole. Phuwin felt fully encased in his arms. He wanted to hide his face down, but it was impossible to do so as Pond Naravit never abandoned the ledge of his jaws, continuing to examine every inch of his flushing skin.

It was getting overwhelming. The sensations that Pond Naravit was giving him had his heart dropping and soaring in a way that was making his chest ache. But he was too trapped to make a move, too enraptured to know where this would go.

The exploration had risen to Phuwin's face, the proximity of their faces sheathing his vision, forcing his eyes shut. He could feel the man's soft lips brushing against his chin, the side of his lip, and his cheek, taking in the warmth of his skin against his own."

Pond Naravit was inhaling him so graciously that Phuwin couldn't understand how it could feel so levitating.

He had never been treated like this before, as though he were some rare spice, so delicately fascinating that he needed to be studied unhurriedly, inch by inch.

It wasn't long until Pond Naravit's lips were already hovering his lips, the heat of his whiskeyed breath dizzying Phuwin into a state of mystic drunkenness. Phuwin couldn't feel his head anymore. It had gotten so hazy up there, as if shrouded in steam.

Their noses touched, and something ignited in Phuwin's lungs without delay. He never knew he could be sensitized like this, because he's feeling everything; his chest convulsing, his breaths catching, his whole body enflaming. And yet his mind buoyed in smokes.

He couldn't assemble what he wanted to get, but he knew he was waiting.

He might be lightheaded but all of his senses were now directed to one thing, and it was just there, ghosting on his lips.

After very long heartbeats, at last there came a graze, but it just passed, so briskly. It touched, but barely.

Phuwin wanted it, but he's too over his head to name it.

Once again softness brushed his lips but it was so light like a gentle caress he longed for it moreso. The friction was so inviting that he wanted to lean in but he's under a disabling spell and he could do nothing but await.

The next touch lingered, taking off, then back again, becoming nudges of butterfly kisses. Phuwin was allured by the sensations, accepting every peck like a fool, drawn to the rhythm of the other man's ministrations.

He fluttered his eyes open, and there, upon his very eyes, a handsome face was leaning back in, capturing his lips for another butterfly kiss as lightweight as the firsts before rubbing away once more.

He came back as soon as he left though, and this time he kissed Phuwin a little longer, with a little more weight.

It was enchanting.

Phuwin never knew kissing could be like this, could feel like this.

Of course he had kissed before. He had boyfriends before. But kissing had never felt like anything more than just two lips attaching in his record. It had a tingling aftereffect, but it didn't really make him ravenous, or at least mindlessly euphoric while doing it.

But this.... this moment right here, was magnetic.

Pond Naravit elicited a delectable sound, a hum of approval against Phuwin's lips, his hands finally leaving the smaller man's hips to cup his face. Phuwin felt enchained more than ever, his heart speeding in fear and fervency altogether, but he was already absorbed. He was already bewitched.

The tentative kisses came to its end and Pond Naravit moved away no more. He was pressing their mouths together, torrid and sure as if he's finally done testing and he's now off to invade Phuwin seriously. In a progressive tempo he deepened the kiss, making Phuwin dissolve into him and unleashing his want for the man. The feather kisses alone already sent Phuwin to a divine space but it didn't prepare Phuwin for this liplock. Every contact of their lips was mind-shattering and Phuwin had lost his head totally.

And he's so strong. Phuwin could only surrender to the man's hunger and allow himself to be devoured like this. Phuwin's hands climbed to Pond Naravit's broad shoulders for support, and the huge man cradled his face better, savoring all of his lips and not getting enough. The way their mouths danced in tandem was pure bliss, as if they had discovered paradise in each other's mouths.

This could only be a dream, could it? Kissing couldn't be this good, could it?

The union of their lips was unhurried and tender. Pond Naravit was gripping Phuwin's small face so firmly as if the only thing to do in the world was to kiss him for hours on end. And it was achingly sexy, how he's sucking and pulling at Phuwin's lower lip with a languid sensuality, giving it some time to linger in the small space between them before leading Phuwin's mouth open and breaching his tongue in. It's sinful how good it felt, how Phuwin wanted to keep having him like that.

It's a kiss that once relished, demanded to be craved, like some type of a taste a person would seek time and again. It could become addicting, it could become deadly. The thoughts had alarmed something inside Phuwin's mind causing his sanity to pop back to him finally.

His mouth had been overtaken by the drunken man that he was still following his lips compulsively, but he had to break away. This shouldn't be happening, and this shouldn't be making him feel so good.

He clasped Pond Naravit's grip on his neck and pushed him away, the man's pacific eyes fluttering at him hoodedly. It was only then that Phuwin realized he's been running out of breath, gathering himself in the process. His head was still whirling, his lips still stinging from the intensity of their coalition.

Pond Naravit was staring at him crazily, his face painted in full intoxication for him. Phuwin had always wished to be looked at by his boss with a little less hostility, but this one quite went the other way. There was so much intentness in the man's eyes, as if Phuwin was the most desirable thing he'd seen in his life.

Tonight was a blue moon, Phuwin thought, because this was the closest he would ever be regarded by Pond Naravit pleasingly. Maybe he just didn't dwell on how badly he wanted his boss to treat him valuably, that he crumbled to the experience of it, no matter its kind. The thought pricked at his heart like needles.

He reached out his hands to cup the young boss' face softly. He thought it might mellow him somehow.

"Sir...." He rasped out, "This is me, this is Phuwin..."

The man just blinked at him slowly, lips so crimson Phuwin could hardly believe they were all on his just heartbeats ago.

Oh god he's gorgeous. It's surreal that he's holding his face right now. Not that it never occurred to Phuwin that his boss was hot and good-looking, but he just never brought his own viewpoint of him aboveboard. And it's just off to even have a crush on him despite everyone in the building having so, because it just didn't seem realizable.

He waited until Pond Naravit could finally make sense of him, but instead the man just leaned over onto his face, trying to catch his lips once again.

"H-H-Hey this is me." Phuwin stammered, blocking the man. "I-I'm a boy."

The way Pond Naravit stilled at what he said had Phuwin thinking he finally hit the nail on the head. The young boss studied the entirety of his face which made Phuwin feel a bit self-conscious, but he stayed still, letting him. He needed him to realize it. Phuwin's gender had always been the root of their dissonance and it's the best defense in subduing the womanizer.

Pond Naravit tilted at him, long and curious.

"A boy..." He said.

Phuwin felt chills hearing the man speak like that. It was almost whisper-like, a little bit innocent, but also sultry.

"Y-Yes."

"Hmm."

Pond Naravit let his shoulders down, and Phuwin took it as a sign to loosen his grip. He released a breath and nervously retreated his hands, only for the young boss to charge at him, grabbing his neck back for another hot kiss. Phuwin was caught so off-guard, his eyes dilating before closing tight.

Pond Naravit didn't give him the chance to react and hastily opened his mouth, dominating his lips hungrily. The movement of the man's lips was a powerful force bound to lock anyone in, and Phuwin was easily captured, melting into the kiss.

There was no point in denying the ecstacy that Phuwin felt a second time. He met Pond Naravit's lips indulgently, irrepressibly. He tipped his toes so he could reach the taller man's height somehow, and wrapped his arms around his neck. It was crazy how someone could easily overwhelm your head and make you permissive to whatever they wanted to do with you.

Maybe it didn't even occur to Phuwin to think twice in the first place, even if he knew this was wrong and he shouldn't be taking advantage of it. But boy, how could he when he's being kissed like this?

Pond Naravit kissed him as though he wanted him, as though Phuwin's lips were his favorite taste in the world and he'd have him all day if the universe allowed.

The hands on Phuwin's neck slowly slid down to his arms, slipping through the gaps and wrapping strong arms around his small waists.

Phuwin hitched a breath but found pleasure in the man's arms. He wasn't sure if he ever liked physical contact, or was it just this person inducing him to feel so.

They were kissing forever until Pond Naravit started to soften down, nudging Phuwin's lips in slow teases until they're just pecking and pecking, not wanting to leave each other's lips yet and just senselessly smacking.

One last peck and Pond Naravit finally slouched, resting his chin on Phuwin's shoulder and embracing him tight. The hug was so warm and teddybearish that Phuwin felt his heart drowning in an ocean of fluffs.

In less than a minute, Pond Naravit fell asleep, embracing Phuwin the same way. He felt heavy once again but Phuwin didn't want to move from there. He wanted to stay. He wanted them to stay that way.

He wanted to stay in the moment where Pond Naravit was warm to him.

While in his reverie Phuwin still felt a faint ache in his chest. He got carried away and all that while he actually really felt hopeful and jubilated—disillusioned to a dreamlike reality.

It indeed was reality but it wasn't his reality.

He must remind himself that nontypical things as this is unsafe for him. Nothing changed. And nothing should change.

It was a false interlude and that was all it was.

Notes:

if you made it here lol this was a work i did last year but never posted. i dont plan to continue this anymore so if you're wondering what's gonna happen next... my plan was to make pond wake up unaware of what happened but he immediately found out about it when he viewed the CCTV in his apartment. phuwin was ready to be fired on their next meeting, but pond just treated him as if the usual. that night shifted a lot of things for pond and how he saw phuwin. he became so attuned to the smaller man that he started to realize how cute he was and how he liked being around his presence. there will be a significant plot device in the story but i'll leave at that. byeeee! hahahahahahaha
