She was light as air as he picked her up from her bed, careful not to disturb her dreams.
“Sasha...” Alina murmurs softly and subconsciously puts her arms around him, nestling her face near his neck. His Solnste’s face was a picture of peace. But how different it was the day before!

Alina hugs him dearly in the garden, peppering his face with kisses, unwilling to let him go. Her reason for discomfort: She was to be married in the next few weeks to a man she hardly knew. It had already been arranged. Never in his 41 years did he feel this insurmountable anger that threatened consume him.
“I’m already yours Sasha. I don’t want to be someone else’s.”
Before she could say anything further, he drowned her words with a passionate kiss that resonated with possessiveness.
“Milaya. That. Will. Never. Happen.”
Unsurprisingly, it never happened. Aleksander Morozov was a powerful man, and this matter was resolved in an hour and a half. Some strict talking with her parents, who readily agreed to break the arrangement and a bit of threatening to the man who intended to marry Alina, the matter was resolved.
Alina kissed him in front of her parents; propriety be damned.
He would never forget the relief and loving look she gave him later in the gardens. It was arranged that they would visit his estate tomorrow. But tomorrow wasn’t coming fast enough.
And so he whisked her away that night leaving a note that they both would be in his estate.

In the beauty of his moonlit gardens, Alina opened her eyes and tenderly kissed him under the starry sky.
