Chapter Text
Gregory would say he was a pretty reckless kid, especially regarding his well-being. Especially on the night when he got stuck in the Pizzaplex. He took way too many risks that he shouldn't have and barely escaped death on more than one occasion.
He was currently being chased. He needed to meet Freddy back at the main stage so they could go to parts and service. Although a certain wolf was making that very hard. He had gotten spotted by Roxy and she was chasing Gregory in the atrium. Gregory ran past multiple hiding spots that he could have slipped in unnoticed to get away but he didn't. He thought he could just outrun Roxy because of how close he was to the stage anyway. Until he tripped. He came crashing down on the hard floor beneath him. That was going to leave a bruise. Multiple actually. Although there was no time to think about that, not when Roxy's loud and heavy footsteps could be heard getting closer. Before Gregory had the time to get up, Roxy had caught up with him and was towering over him.
"Gotcha!" She exclaimed.
Gregory yelped as Roxy raised her arm, about to swing. Her sharp claws were aimed and heading straight for him. He quickly rolled to one side as Roxy's hand landed right where Gregory used to be on the floor. As she was distracted Gregory scrambled to his feet and ran the rest of the way to the main stage. Once he got there he hastily pushed the button and the stage started going down.
"Good job Superstar," Freddy said after Gregory returned.
"Thanks, Freddy," Gregory responded.
Suddenly a blue light appeared and slowly ran down Gregory's figure. He looked at Freddy with confusion.
"Why did you scan me?" Gregory asked.
"You appeared injured. My scan reports that you have multiple bruises on your backside and an open wound on your left forearm," Freddy said.
"Open wound? What is Freddy talking abo-"
Gregory's thoughts were cut off as he looked at his arm. Indeed there was a large cut across his forearm. Roxy must have done that when he attempted to dodge while on the ground.
"Here, let me see," Freddy said while reaching out to gently grab Gregory's arm. Gregory let him. Freddy had a small amount of gauze that he wrapped tightly and securely around Gregory's arm, taking extra caution not to hurt him. Gregory wondered where he got the gauze from, probably some weird compartment inside himself.
"There. How does it feel, Superstar?" Freddy asked as he finished.
"Good," Said Gregory, wiggling his arm as a test.
"I'm glad. May I ask what happened to you?" Freddy asked.
"Roxy got me in the atrium.." Gregory responded looking at Freddy. A quick emotion flashed on Freddy's face before disappearing almost immediately.
"I'm very sorry to hear that Gregory. Were there no hiding spots nearby?" Freddy asked.
"There were but.." Gregory looked down and started twiddling his thumbs. "I thought... I could make it without using them" Gregory mumbled. A silence passed between them. All of a sudden Gregory felt a large hand on his shoulder. He looked and saw Freddy, who had gotten closer than before. A very worried expression covered his face.
"You should be more careful, Superstar. I do not want you to continue getting injured," Freddy said sincerely. A pang of guilt enveloped Gregory's chest. Before he could say anything in return he spotted something behind Freddy. It was the daycare attendant.
"Freddy, watch out!" Gregory cried. Freddy whipped around and saw Moon at the edge of the stage.
"Get to the recharge station, Gregory!" Freddy exclaimed. Gregory quickly made his way to the nearest recharge station, right next to parts and services. After he got in he watched in horror as the daycare attendant dragged Freddy away, all while smiling sinisterly at him. When Gregory got out Freddy was nowhere to be found and he couldn't get into parts and services without a security upgrade.
"Stupid stupid stupid! This is your fault!" Gregory thought. "If you hadn't made him worried he wouldn't have been distracted. If he wasn't distracted he wouldn't have been taken away!" Gregory groaned in frustration. "You made him so worried... he cares about you and all you do is make him sad! I need.. a punishment for this." Gregory searched his pockets until he found what he was looking for. A sharp razor blade was now in his hands.
"This is what I deserve," Gregory thought. He started to pull up his sleeve around his shoulder. This is where he would usually do this. since he liked to wear short pants and short sleeves the only place he felt safe to cut himself, where nobody would see, was his shoulders. As he finished pulling the sleeve over his shoulder he pressed the blade to his skin and dragged it along. one time, two times, three times, five times, ten. His shoulder was a bloody mess by the end of it. Gregory sighed.
"That's what you deserve. That's what you get."
