Mac and Dennis lay in bed, the latter resting his head on Mac’s stomach, who lazily runs his hands through his boyfriend’s hair.
It’s the calm after the storm- a fight to do with that very word: boyfriend.
9:14 pm
On a Wednesday
Philadelphia, PA
It all started earlier that night at the bar, when a young female customer told Dennis: “you and your boyfriend are so cute!” Dennis had scoffed as if the skinny blonde bimbo had just hurled him an offensive insult. He sneered in disgust, telling her, “ No- no, no. Me and him?” (emphasis on him with extra disgust) “Not boyfriends, no- absolutely not. Really, that guy?” Dennis gestured toward Mac then, who was standing by the front door watching the entire exchange. “ Yuck, no. Entirely no.”
Mac had promptly stormed out of Paddy’s after that, going to sit in the Range Rover (using Dennis’ keys of which Mac always carries in his own pocket by Dennis’ request, as he doesn’t want his “waist to look lumpy”), where he waited for two hours until Dennis finally emerged. When he climbed into the driver’s seat, he looked at Mac wordlessly and started the car. Mac avoided eye contact, afraid to start saying all the stuff swimming around in his brain; afraid of how angry he might get but mostly afraid it won’t come out sounding angry at all, just hurt.
Him and Dennis have been dating for almost three months now (it feels so much longer than that, but at the same time, Dennis still takes Mac’s breath away everytime he kisses him. Every time they sleep together it feels like the first time, exciting and new and laced with nerves and years of unresolved tension). Whether or not Dennis himself would use the word dating is genuinely irrelevant, because even if he can’t admit it, that is what’s happening. Mac and Dennis are together . They sleep in Dennis’ bed together most nights, they have sex (like, a ton), they kiss and they cuddle and even, occasionally, engage in gross displays of PDA, the last of which is what prompted the girl in the bar to even say that to Dennis in the first place. Mac had just replaced the keg and Dennis thanked him with a hand slipping into the back pocket of his Dickies, giving his ass a little squeeze before giving his lips a chaste but still probably too long of a kiss. Dennis did that, then acted insulted by whatever-her-name-was’ comment, gaslighting the shit out of an innocent bystander, an ally who was just trying to simply compliment Dennis on his awesome gay love and sexy gay boyfriend. Dennis will let Mac blow his back out, let Mac give him handjobs every movie night as they sit on the couch and let Mac suck his dick in the back office whenever Dennis decides he needs it, but when faced with a harmless, genuinely nice comment about his relationship, he goes red with trying to deny that there is any relationship to comment on.
So, needless to say, Mac is pissed.
He holds in his comments for the length of the drive home, as does Dennis, who doesn’t utter a single word or give Mac a second glance until they’re walking into the apartment. Mac shuts the door forcefully, and Dennis heaves a sigh as if to say ugh, here we go.
“Why, Dennis?” Mac asks, voice small and not as demanding as he had hoped. He sounds broken.
Dennis sighs again, exasperated. “ Please , just-”
“No!” Mac cuts him off, finding his voice better now. “ No , dude! I wanna know why you said that shit to that girl. I wanna know why you wanna pretend that this isn’t happening! That we aren’t happening! ” He gestures between them. “What am I supposed to think? Are you ashamed of me?”
Dennis rolls his eyes, but his expression softens. “No, Mac.”
“Then what?!” Mac demands, voice angry as he steps closer to Dennis, who is looking down at his shoes, eyes wide but void of emotion. “You lie to strangers, you lie to the gang,”
“They already know.” Dennis interrupts in a mumble, crossing his arms over his chest defensively, perhaps comfortingly.
“But you still pretend around them, dude. You won’t touch me if they’re looking, you act meaner than usual if they’re listening…” Mac swallows hard, averting his own eyes from where he was staring daggers at Dennis’ stony face. He doesn’t want to get upset, not in a pathetic way like this. It should be rage and resentment he’s feeling, but it’s not. It’s sadness, insecurity. It’s yearning, jealousy for no one specific yet for every single other person in the world who’s ever laid eyes on Dennis, anyone who has ever had him, anyone who Dennis has ever had and not tried to hide from the world.
“What even is this to you, man?” Mac asks amidst the silence of Dennis’ non-response. “Is it just the sex?”
Dennis snorts. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
Mac’s chest goes tight, he clenches his fist that hangs by his side, resisting the carnal urge to punch Dennis right in the mouth (then clean him up afterward, because Mac will always take care of Dennis even if he’s the one who hurt him in the first place). He settles for grabbing Dennis’ chin (not gently, though), forcing his head up so he looks Mac in the eye. Dennis’ eyes go wide with shock for just a flash before returning to empty- Mac can see the muscles in his face clench with the effort of remaining stoic.
“You can’t do this, man.” Mac grumbles. “You can’t touch me like that in front of people then act all disgusted with me. You can’t… use me… to get what you want out of me, whatever the fuck that is, then treat me like shit. I can’t- I can’t handle the hot n’ cold thing.” He suddenly feels that lump in his throat, like his eyes might well up in tears, and he blinks hard, trying to lift only rage to the surface. “What am I to you, Dennis? Is any of this even real?”
Dennis groans, frustrated, ripping his chin out from Mac’s grasp. “Of course it’s real, Mac. Of course it’s not just sex . Do you think I’d still be here if it was?” He says irritatedly.
Mac is taken aback by that a little. Would Dennis leave Mac again, if this wasn’t enough for him? If Mac wasn’t enough…? It’s not just sex though- to hear Dennis admit that soothes Mac at least a bit. But he still doesn’t understand.
“Then…” he starts, voice demure. “Why don’t you wanna call me your boyfriend?”
Dennis exhales sharply, but at last he looks at Mac with that fondness only Dennis can portray: something fiery and lined with hate but still so clearly fond, in that frustrating and agonizing way Dennis feels toward him.
“Mac,” Dennis starts softly. Mac locks eyes with him, his own expression going puppy dog pathetic, making Dennis’ lips quirk up in a hint of a smile, but only for a second. “ This?” He gestures between them, stepping closer to Mac. “This is… This is just for us, do you understand? I don’t…” He pauses, thinking. “I don’t want anyone to infiltrate this, to have… access to this. Does that make sense?” He asks with uncertainty.
It both does and doesn’t make sense to Mac. On one hand, Dennis is the man he’s been pining after for over twenty years, and now that- somehow, someway, by a miracle of God or some sick trick from the universe or Satan himself- he has him, and he wants to declare to all of Philadelphia- to the entire world- that Dennis Reynolds is his, they belong to each other, they have a lot of hot gay sex and they both love it, and they both love eachother (well, Dennis has never said it, not explicitly, but Mac is pretty sure he does, pretty sure he must, considering said hot gay sex and the way Dennis will cling to him with tears leaking from his eyes as he whispers all kinds of things right into Mac’s ear: you’re so hot, Mac. So sexy. You feel so good, I love the way you feel, fuck. Mac, Mac, Mac.)
On the other hand, Mac understands wanting to lock all of this away not to be seen, not to be tainted or destroyed by any ulterior forces. God knows Mac and Dennis are at enough risk of tearing each other apart and ruining everything they’ve created, without others meddling. This thing they have is fragile- it’s dangerous and passionate and massive- but still fragile. Mac tries to feel good, feel honored and important that Dennis wants to protect what they have, to shelter their love from outside harm.
“Okay,” Mac finally says, and he can see some of the tension leave Dennis’ body. “Yeah, it makes sense.” It does, it makes sense… but something is still itchy and uncomfortable deep inside of him. Dennis seems none the wiser (or, more likely, just wants to drop this whole discussion as quickly as possible), and leans in to kiss Mac’s cheek quick, walking away toward the bedroom presumably to strip off his work clothes and wash this entire experience off him.
“I’ll save you some hot water.” Dennis calls back to him (knew it).
“Can I just hop in with you?” Mac asks, trying to not sound pleading. Mac is dying for a shower though, sweaty and smelling like stale beer, and Dennis always uses all the hot water, no matter what he says.
He hears Dennis scoff from inside his bedroom. “No, dude, c’mon… just- I’ll be quick.” Dennis trails off meekly, and Mac feels that itch flare up again.
“That’s exactly what I’m talking about, Dennis!” Mac shouts, storming in after Dennis, who stands at his vanity with a towel around his waist, looking bewildered. Mac doesn’t dare avert his eyes from Dennis’ face, determined not to succumb to the tempting distraction below his neckline (the neckline is enough, his collarbones… God- eyes up, Mac ).
“What?” Dennis retorts, incredulous.
“If you’re not gonna call me your boyfriend- whatever. ” Mac replies venomously. “But at least let me act like your boyfriend!”
“And that means we have to shower together? Mac, baby , I just don’t want to spend half the time standing in the cold while you hog the water, that’s it, okay?”
Mac skips over the baby, a word Dennis rarely uses, mostly only when he’s trying to quickly win an argument, or when he’s too fucked out of his mind (by way of sex or alcohol, usually both) to realize he’s saying it. Mac skips over the pet name, still intent to at least attempt effective communication.
“Showering isn’t even half of it, Dennis. It’s that you never let me hold your hand, you push me off when I try to kiss you in the mornings, even if I go brush my teeth; you won’t let me stay in the bathroom while you piss-”
“I’m sorry, what? You’re mad I won’t let you watch me piss?” Dennis asks in disbelief.
Mac groans, covering his face with his hands. “That’s not what it’s about.”
“Then what is it about?” Dennis pleads, sounding hysterical now.
“Intimacy!!” Mac shouts back. “I feel like you’re not letting me in, dude. And I want in. On all of you.”
Dennis looks surprised, going wordless for a minute before replying softly, shyly, “You are in on me, Mac.”
“Am I?” Mac shrugs, confused and desperate. “You know, I give and I give with you, and you… you just take, Dennis.”
It hurts Mac to say, and he almost doesn’t fully believe it himself. In the beginning, Mac settled in every facet of their dynamic: Dennis doesn’t want me sleeping in his bed? Alright. I can’t call Dennis baby, or sweetheart, or honey? Whatever. Don’t stand so close to him when we’re in the bar? Fine. For weeks, Mac put up with it. He still couldn’t believe his luck, being with Dennis felt like one long, impossibly realistic and incredible dream. Mac got to see Dennis’ body, touch his body, kiss his lips and maybe, if he was extra lucky, got to hold him at night for a few minutes before retreating to his own bedroom. Mac didn’t ask for more, he let Dennis offer up what he was willing to give, and he never complained, never even thought to do so (he just kept on pining, silently). However, the common denominator about all those things on Dennis’ “no” list is that they were each eventually overturned. Now, Mac calls him by endearments more than his actual name some days; they’re constantly crowding each other’s space not just at home but at work too, standing close enough for their arms and thighs to be pushed flush together; and while Mac still only gets to hold Dennis for a short while at night, he’s allowed to sleep next to him.
“I don’t just take, are you being serious right now?” Dennis asks, offended. Mac is pretty sure he is serious, because despite all the walls Dennis has let begin to fall, despite all the ways he’s started letting Mac in further, there’s still one major thing that stands out from the rest of relationship milestones Mac and Dennis have yet to accomplish in their toxic and dysfunctional dynamic. There’s still one, big, throbbing thing Dennis has yet to undertake.
“Why won’t you suck my dick?” Mac blurts.
It’s true, Dennis has never sucked him off. It’s a matter that’s been pressing Mac for some time now, but he hasn’t had the courage to bring it up until now. See, Mac has come to learn that Dennis is a raging, unapologetic pillow princess. It actually wasn’t that surprising, considering how often he would take a back seat in his sex tapes and let the ladies pleasure him, often long before he even laid a hand on them in return. And Mac has to trust Dennis enjoys their sex, enjoys laying there and taking what Mac gives him. Mac has to believe Dennis likes getting fucked by him, likes getting his own dick sucked and ass ate and everything else Mac offers up- and Mac offers everything (he’s continuing to check off a very extensive bucket list of all the ways he wants to take Dennis apart). Yet as much as Mac tries to believe, sometimes he can’t help but feel insecure. Dennis never offers anything to Mac. While it should be known he has had the best orgasms of his life while buried deep inside Dennis, he can’t help but gaze down at that red, wet mouth and want to fuck that hole next. He can’t help but want Dennis to want it. The way he kisses Mac sometimes- sloppy, spit soaked and so hungry- how is he supposed to not want it around his cock?
Dennis does a double take at Mac’s question, a surprised but humorless laugh spilling out before he shrugs, looking Mac dead in the eye as he deadpans, “You’ve never asked.” Then he disappears into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.

On a Wednesday
Philadelphia, PA
Mac and Dennis lay in bed, the latter resting his head on Mac’s stomach, who lazily runs his hands through his boyfriend’s hair. It’s still slightly wet from his shower, and Mac can smell his spiced shampoo and conditioner.
They’ve never done this before. Dennis has never laid on Mac like this, for this long, entire body pressed against Mac as one hand strokes up and down his side, the other laying on his heart. It feels more tender than they usually are, they don’t really cuddle much at all besides immediately after sex, never fully clothed like they are now while still feeling like one of the most intimate things they’ve ever done. Dennis lets Mac hold him, his arms wrapped around the other’s shoulders and rubbing his back. Mac leans down and kisses the top of Dennis’ damp head, and he nuzzles further into Mac’s t-shirt, his resting hand clutching the fabric. It makes Mac’s heart squeeze, and he’s swiftly reminded with painful clarity that, at this point in their thirty year monstrosity of a relationship, nothing Dennis could say or do (or not say, or not do) could change the way Mac feels for him, the way he loves him, something so all consuming that one day, it’s bound to be the death of him- of both of them, probably. Mac can’t really bring himself to care about how this may end, though, when the present happening of it is this heavenly, this sacred and- again- all consuming. Mac can always feel Dennis on his skin, an invisible heat rash that’s somehow both soothed and caused by Dennis’ touch. He’s Mac’s sickness and medicine, his villain and his hero. Dennis is everything and more- the good and the bad, a God and a fallen angel- and Mac means it when he says he wants all in on Dennis, on all of him. Mac loves all of him.
“I’m trying, you know.” Dennis suddenly says, voice barely above a whisper.
Mac hears him, but still urges him on gently with a, “hmm?”, when Dennis doesn’t continue.
“I’m trying.” He says again, a bit louder but still meek, nervous. “I’m not good at this, okay? I don’t know how to be someone’s… boyfriend.” Dennis’ voice gets caught on the word, choking it out with a hard swallow. Mac’s heart flutters, and he squeezes Dennis tighter. His head is still laid down, facing away as he absentmindedly rubs Mac’s arm. “But I’m trying, okay? I promise I’m trying for you.” He breathes deep, and lifts his head up to look Mac in the eye, determined all of a sudden. “Now let me suck your dick.”
Mac blinks, lost for words. “W-what?”
“Do you want that or not?” Dennis asks, and Mac nods so fast he feels his brain rattle around in its cage.
“Yeah, yeah man. Do- do you want to?” Mac returns nervously.
Dennis rolls his eyes, but Mac can see the affection in it. “Look, I wasn’t kidding when I said you’ve never asked, but well… I’m offer only, I guess.”
Mac smirks, amused by the shy way Dennis trails off his sentence. He runs a hand through Dennis’ hair, gently smoothing it back. “Well, I accept your offer.”
Mac uses the grip he has now on the back of Dennis’ head to gently pull him up into a kiss, one they both melt into and deepen at once. Despite getting tired of fighting with Dennis, Mac will never get tired of the post-fight sex. Sometimes it’s the craziest sex they ever have, rough and fervent, a grand finale to whatever argument they were having that time. Other times, like now, it’s soft and slow, harbored by exhaustion but propelled by that need to reunite, to feel one again.
Dennis moves his lips to Mac’s jaw, down to his neck where he kisses deeply. Mac’s hand holds his head there as his other reaches up Dennis’ shirt to scratch softly at his back, making him arch into Mac.
“You sure, baby?” Dennis asks against his skin, confusing Mac a bit because Dennis never asks questions like that. His voice is a bit shaky, as are his hands, and Mac resists the urge to reply, “are you sure?” (he resists, because Mac does ask those questions often, and it pisses Dennis off every time). If Dennis is offering, he must be sure that he wants to do it. Mac can’t begin to fathom why Dennis would question if Mac wants this, though, but clearly he’s seeking out some sort of needed affirmation.
“Yeah, man.” Mac answers on an exhale that sounds embarrassingly like a whimper as Dennis bites down into the tender flesh of his collarbone. “I’m sure, never been more sure. Please, Den .” So he’s already begging, who cares. It only spurs Dennis on (Mac knows begging gets him going, makes him feel wanted), and he finally lets his hands travel south of the equator and he squeezes Mac’s bulge, already halfway hard.
“You want it so bad, don’t you Mac?” Dennis hums, voice low. He palms at Mac’s crotch, and Mac grinds his hips up into the friction unabashedly, nodding furiously. “Yeah, Den, yeah- I want it really bad.”
Dennis chuckles, darkly. “I know, baby. I do too.” He tugs off Mac’s boxers, and wastes no time in taking Mac’s dick in his hand, stroking the length agonizingly slowly. “You’re so…” Dennis is looking at his own hand, at Mac’s now fully fledged erection, biting his lip as he grinds down against the bed, just once. “God, Mac, just… I wanna be good for you.”
Mac sees stars, he’s pretty sure the world stops spinning for a moment. “Dennis,” he moans, just as Dennis’ thumb swipes over his cockhead, spreading the precum leaking there. “You’re so good, you’re perfect.” He opens his eyes just in time to see Dennis smile, a bashful thing Mac isn’t sure he’s ever seen before.
“Chill out, I haven’t even started yet.” He says, and runs a hand up Mac’s stomach, just feeling his torso underneath his shirt. “Just- tell me if it’s good, okay?” He asks quietly, and Mac nods gently. He suddenly wonders when the last time Dennis would’ve done this. It’s most definitely not never, that’s another thing Mac has learned about Dennis through sex: he’s certainly obtained a fair amount of experience with men throughout the years. But this is uncharted territory, for the two of them at least, in these particular roles. Sure, Mac has given Dennis the best blowjobs of his life (something Dennis actually straight up told Mac once, and he lived off the high it gave him for weeks), and he is always (maybe too ) enthusiastic to drop to his knees and make Dennis moan and shake and come down his throat. Mac is a talented dick-sucker, he’s grown enough to be able to wear that badge with pride. So maybe that’s why Dennis is nervous, why he’s never offered to return the favor. Maybe he’s afraid of not living up to Mac’s prowess- Mac himself can’t be sure, as Dennis would never admit to such a thing even if that was the case. All that said, though, Mac doesn’t mind guiding Dennis along a bit, if need be. In fact, Dennis may actually prefer it that way. Another thing: Dennis actually likes to be bossed around in bed. One may not guess that Dennis would be so willing to follow orders, but Mac is pretty sure it has something to do with the praise it earns him. Mac will guide him, instructing him to “ lift your hips, baby- keep them there,” “turn around, on your stomach”, “touch your cock, Dennis, slowly”, “faster,” “stop, you can’t come yet.” Dennis follows blindly, and Mac will kiss and bite his neck, whispering right into his ear, “ that’s right, good job, Den. So good, you’re always so good for me, aren’t you baby?” And Dennis will moan yes yes yes and fuck, Mac, fuck, and the whole thing makes Mac so hot he isn’t sure how he hasn’t burst into flames and burned down their apartment again.
“You’ll tell me?” Dennis asks again impatiently, pulling Mac out of his thoughts. He pets Dennis’ hair again, smiling at him, almost delirious with anticipation and how hard he is. “I’ll help you baby, don’t worry.”
Dennis’ mouth twitches in a tell tale sign he’s suppressing his own smile, and then he turns his attention back down, hand gripping the base of Mac’s cock as he leans down and kisses the tip, a gesture that- to Mac- feels romantic and almost weirdly soft. It gets weirder when Dennis just keeps doing it, planting open mouthed and wet kisses all over as his free hand rubs the tender flesh where Mac’s thigh meets hip. He can’t help but whine at the sight, Dennis’ closed eyes and blushed cheeks as he makes out with Mac’s weeping cock.
“Why do you smell so good,” Dennis wonders aloud, voice so quiet as though the words are just for him, not for Mac to respond to. “Taste so good.” He sticks his tongue out then and licks flat against the head. Mac is already so keyed up, sensitive and wanting, that he moans and grips Dennis’ hair, fighting against himself not to immediately buck up his hips into Dennis’ mouth.
“Den,” Mac says, breathlessly. “ Please.”
Begging is clearly just as effective as ordering, because Dennis immediately takes Mac completely into his mouth, only a few inches but it’s so warm and his tongue is licking circles around Mac’s dick, his hand still gripping the base and thumb stroking up and down. It’s both too much at once and violently not enough. Mac can feel himself sweating, little whines escaping his lips uncontrollably.
“You’re doing so good, Den.” Mac coos, pulling on Dennis’ hair again, and again when it makes him moan and send vibrations running straight through Mac’s groin. “ Fuck- deeper, baby. You can do it.”
Dennis moans again at that, and takes a deep breath through his nose as he sinks down further on Mac’s length. He’s looking right up at Mac as he does it, and Mac forces himself to keep his eyes open, to let the incredible visual stimulation enhance the insane pleasure of Dennis’ hot, saliva soaked mouth. It’s only been a minute and he already feels like he could bust.
“ God, Dennis, yes. Just like that, fuck.”
Dennis has moved both his hands to grip Mac’s waist, holding him down as he takes Mac as deep as he can into his slack jaw. Spit runs down his chin, his tongue running along the bulging vein of Mac’s cock. Mac keeps complimenting him, fueling his confidence, “ so good at this, Dennis, your mouth feels amazing, so pretty for me, so hot”, making Dennis’ whines grow in number and volume. He’s rutting his hips down into the bed, desperately seeking the slightest of friction in a frenzied and distracted way, Mac isn’t sure he even knows he’s doing it. When one of his hands travels down and cups Mac’s balls, tugging at them, Mac moans, inadvertently jerking his hips up and he feels the tip of his dick hit the back of Dennis’ throat, making him gag and quickly pull off with a cough.
“Sorry! I’m sorry, sorry-” Mac pets Dennis’ hair and cheek soothingly, feeling a disturbing mix of guilt and pure lust at the flushed and red color of Dennis’ face, his mouth pink and wet with spit as he pants, catching his breath. His eyes are glossed over in that way they get sometimes in bed, pupils blown and gleaming with what Mac knows to be the first inkling of tears. God, Mac would do anything to see Dennis cry with his mouth full.
“I’m sorry.” Mac says again, voice and gaze reverent. Dennis somehow blushes deeper and moves up to kiss Mac’s lips, who melts into it without a second thought, letting Dennis stick his tongue in his mouth so Mac can suck on it.
“ Goddammit, Mac.” Dennis pulls back to moan, breathing hard against Mac’s mouth. “Shit, I want-” he braces a hand against Mac’s chest, gripping the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer for another breathless kiss. “Fuck my mouth, Mac.” Dennis whines into Mac’s ear. “ Please, I want it. Will you?”
Mac feels his eyes roll back into his head, hears himself order, “move.” He feels dazed, drunk with desire as Dennis happily gets manhandled into switching places with Mac, leaning back against the pillows. Mac climbs up into his lap, scooching far up enough to allow Dennis access without having to strain his neck too much.
Dennis looks so sweet underneath him, needy and eager. His mouth falls open, a whimper slipping out as Mac rubs his cockhead against his lips. “You ready?” Mac asks, voice hoarse despite (finally) being the one not doing the dick sucking. Dennis nods, eyes upturned and looking at Mac like he’s the whole world. In here, he is. They’re each other’s worlds, the only two people left on Earth, the only two people that could ever and will ever matter. “Don’t forget to breathe through your nose, baby. Don’t want you passing out on me.” As soon as the words leave his lips something flashes in Dennis’ eyes, and Mac is pretty sure they both just had the exact same, horrifyingly depraved thought. However, they also both choose to move past it- baby steps, something for another time maybe (and something new for Mac’s wet dreams)…
Mac moves Dennis’ hands to his hips, tells him, “push me off if it’s too much”, and slowly guides himself a few inches into Dennis’ mouth. Dennis lays his tongue down flat, letting Mac slide against it. Mac bites his lip, head thrown back and eyes fluttering shut at the sensation of impossibly wet, impossibly warm suction. He’s not quite moving his hips yet, but he feels Dennis tapping his hips, and he looks down to see Dennis’ eyes wide, begging for contact as he stares at Mac deeply, giving his waist a squeeze when Mac finally returns his gaze. Mac groans at the sight, unable to stop his hips from stuttering forward. Dennis gags slightly, but uses his soft grip on Mac to keep him from pulling away. He takes Mac in deeper than he has all night, and Mac whines, hand returning to Dennis’ hair to tug.
“Fuck, you take it so well, I knew you’d be so good at this.” Mac brings both hands to grip the back of Dennis’ head, holding him in place as he starts pulling out, pushing back in, fucking Dennis’ mouth with gentle and calculated movements. Dennis really does take it well, mouth wide but relaxed, tongue still working even as Mac controls the pace. Mac can sense his desperation to make it good for Mac, to impress him. For Dennis, sex is still a lot about showing off. He likes to show Mac how capable he is, how much he can withstand, and Mac likes to see it, to see what Dennis is willing to do for him. He’s spent what feels like his entire life trying to prove himself to Dennis, so for the roles to be reversed feels like some sort of sweet vindication for Mac. It helps that he loves to worship Dennis’ dedication, to encourage him with praise.
“You love this, don’t you Dennis?” Mac goads, and Dennis whines, blinking hard a few times. Mac sees a few tears slipping out, sliding down his cheeks, and Mac swipes them away with his thumbs, feeling molten lava in his stomach at the sight. Dennis is like putty in Mac’s hands right now, letting himself just be a hole for Mac’s pleasure. “Aww, baby, are you crying for me? It’s okay, you’re so pretty like this, you look so good.”
Dennis lets out some strange, warbled sob at that. Mac feels a twinge of pity for him, knowing that the cameras in his room are off, knowing that Dennis wishes now he’d turned them on because he really would want to see himself like this, see Mac from every angle.
“Shh, it’s okay.” Mac placates, suppressing a delirious laugh because shit, Dennis is so cute and pathetic right now, he can’t believe he waited so long to ask Dennis to do this, he can’t believe he’s gone this long without it. He feels high on happiness, he feels euphoric and so turned on and so in love, fuck. Mac holds Dennis’ cheeks, tenderly and protectively. He swipes at his bottom lip, using his thumb and forefinger to urge Dennis’ jaw to expand. “Open your mouth for me, baby, wider. That’s it, shit. ” Everything about this: the sight of Dennis looking so fucked out, the feeling of him desperately sucking at the precum leaking from Mac’s dick, the sound of him choking and gagging as Mac starts really fucking into his mouth now, hitting the back of Dennis’ throat over and over, it’s all so much, it feels like something out of the best porno Mac could possibly imagine. Fuck, he kind of wishes the cameras were on too.
“I’m so close, Dennis, you’re gonna make me come, baaaby.” The syllable is dragged out in a moan that’s punched out of him when Dennis suddenly takes Mac in to the base, nose meeting dark hair, and thank God Mac was able to choke out the warning because within seconds he’s keeling over, shooting straight down Dennis’ throat. He pulls out as quickly as possible, still shaking through the aftershocks of his climax, cum still dribbling from his cockhead as well as down Dennis’ chin as he sputters and catches his breath.
“Holy shit- holy shit Dennis.” Mac says breathlessly, a loopy grin painting his face as he wipes Dennis’ mouth, who just sits there motionless, chest heaving and eyes still wet, filled with a sort of reverence as he gazes up at Mac helplessly. “That was seriously everything, man. The best. I love you.”
Dennis quickly grabs his arm then, pulling Mac down to lay flush on top of him. He whines, kissing Mac’s mouth in a lazy way that makes Mac do most of the work, but he loves to do it, loves to hear the way Dennis continues to whimper and whine and writhe up into Mac, desperate and out of his mind. He can feel Dennis’ hard dick against his thigh, and through his own cloudy post orgasm haze, Mac reaches his hand down and into Dennis’ sweatpants. As soon as his fingers wrap around him, Dennis moans like Mac’s fucking him.
“Oh, yeah baby, I got you.” Mac says sweetly into his ear, jerking him off quickly. “You were so good, just perfect for me. Took such good care of me, lemme take care of you now, okay? Lemme take care of you, baby.”
Dennis whimpers like he’s crying again, shoving his face into Mac’s neck as both his arms wrap around him, holding on for dear life. He’s squirming around, breathing hot and ragged air against Mac’s skin. Mac strokes him with urgency, knowing Dennis is close, knowing how bad he needs it, knows it by Dennis’ sounds and the way his leg is shaking. Mac gently tugs on his hair, forcing Dennis out of hiding ( “look at me, baby” ) . Dennis’ skin is flushed and pink, screwed up like he’s in pain. He’s so beautiful.
“Look at me, Dennis.” Mac says again to get him to open his eyes. He’s crying again, looking at Mac like he’s lost. Mac feels a flood of intense affection, kissing Dennis’ lips deeply, so slowly in contrast to the rapid movement of his fist.
“I want you to come for me, Den, please?” Mac asks in his most pleading, innocent voice. “Come for me, I love you.”
Dennis obeys within seconds, coming hard and shaking in Mac’s arms. Even after he settles down, neither man moves, content to stay where they are for as long as they can manage it, just feeling their chests heaving against one another's, Mac’s hands running through Dennis’ hair to ground him. After a bit- because they aren’t twenty anymore- the positions grow uncomfortable and they disentangle themselves, lazily shifting to lay side by side. Dennis saddles up close, using Mac’s shoulder as a pillow.
Mac continues to touch Dennis everywhere, rubbing in soothing motions on his arms, his back, his thighs. Dennis’ eyes are closed and his face is calm, content. Like most nights, when Mac witnesses Dennis in this kind of post-coital peace, it feels like the wind is knocked out of him, and for the hundredth time he simply can’t believe this is his life. Anyone who says dreams don’t come true hasn’t lived a life in the day of Mac McDonald, boyfriend to Dennis Reynolds.
“I’m really thankful for you, bro.” Mac says, unsure if Dennis hasn’t fallen asleep already, but he hums in response, giving Mac’s bicep a squeeze. “And that was really, really good Den, like, you’re incredible. I can’t believe you swallowed.” Mac says it with genuine awe, but Dennis chuckles, nuzzling into Mac further as if he can’t get close enough (they’re already fused together, one dual entity, wrapped up into a single cocoon. It’ll never be close enough).
“Shut up, Mac.” Dennis says, voice tired and affectionate, still hoarse and raw. (Mac wonders if his throat hurts- he’ll make him tea with honey in the morning) “Let’s go to sleep.”
Mac follows orders, holding Dennis tight as they drift off into a peaceful slumber.
Dennis is the best boyfriend ever.
