Summary:

You only bumped into him ONE time and now you see him everywhere.

Notes:

This idea just came to me and had to write it before it left my mind. Also, I'm nearing summer break! Which means I'm going to be more active and probably writing more (question mark?).

Chapter 1: Weird Encounters

Chapter Text

I woke up, the night sweat sticking to my skin made it difficult to sleep and the airless room made it suffocating to do anything. I tossed and turned as I tried to peel the sheets out of my body. In the process of untwirling my body and the sheets I fell to the floor with a thud.

“Ah, fuck!” I yelped.

‘This is it I’m leaving and taking a stroll; I don't care if it is 3 AM in the morning! I will do anything that gets rid of this heat’ I sighed before standing up and rubbing my ass. Fuck that actually hurt.

I walk towards the kitchen and grab my purse. I stroll towards the mirror and check myself out. ‘Hm, should I wear something else?’. I look at myself up and down. I have an oversized shirt and some shorts underneath. ‘Should be okay, only crazy people go outside after 12PM.’ I chuckled to myself. The irony. I get my apartment keys and go to the entrance door before going out and locking it. ‘I don’t think I'll take that much time, but I have to make sure.’ I stuff my apartment keys in my purse and leave the apartment.

I hurriedly walk down the stairs of the complex before bumping into a hard and sturdy chest.

“Oof!” I stumble, but a hand reaches to mine to steady myself. “Ow! That hurt…” I rub my head. ‘I just know that a bump will appear tomorrow.’ Aside from the ever-growing bump in your head the solid grasp that was present on your wrist made you come back to reality. ‘Man, this guy really has a strong grip,’ you try to wriggle your hand off his, but he just hangs on a bit tighter.

“I’m sorry for bumping into you…are you okay?” a soft voice called. I look up and gasp, my breath caught in my throat. “A-ah yes I'm okay.” I was left speechless. How was this guy scrawny but built like a brick wall?! “I apologize for running into you…I was not looking who I was running into…” you sheepishly add. “No…It was my fault, don't sweat it” he smiled at me. ‘Oh my god this guy is so cute, his smile is adorable’ you shake your head. ‘Stop thinking that you barely met the dude!’ you start to blush, you hope the guy does not notice it. “Are you sure?” he places his other unoccupied hand to your forehead. ‘HE TOTALLY NOTICED!!!’ “YEAH! I'm okay, it's just the heat from my apartment. I am taking a stroll to see if it goes away.” You glance up at him. His eyes bore into yours capturing them in a trance. You never met anyone with blue eyes. They felt entrancing, getting lost in the darker blue swirls in his irises. It seemed like the both of you stood what felt like hours, both of his hands still on you. You felt as the heat from his hand transpired into your skin leaving a different kind of burning. It was getting uncomfortable. “Um, mind giving me back my head and arm,” you chuckled nervously. He retracted his hands as if he touched something burning, which in my case was almost true. “I'm sorry again,” he scratched the back of his hand and chuckled. “W-well I better get going! It was nice meeting you…um,” you stretched your hand waiting for a form of introduction.

“Peter. Peter Parker.” He shook your hand.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. He noticed, well that was embarrassing. I could still feel the tingling parts of where Peter had grasped me. My hand hovered over my forehead. ‘That was a pretty interesting encounter. I’ve never felt like that before…’ I sigh. I must look like a dumb schoolgirl gushing about their first crush. You almost tripped thinking about it.

I stroll through the seemingly empty sidewalk. The persisting chatter from afternoon days strangely absent in the stuffy night. I start to hum a song, not really making a beat of anything. I hear rather silent footsteps behind me. I turn around.  Nothing. You get an unnerving chill and the growing feeling that somebody is following you. You clutch your purse closer to your body. You rummage through its contents. “What!” you hushed. I don't have anything in here aside from my apartment keys and change. ‘Did I not pack my phone?’ You pat yourself down as an attempt to make your phone ‘appear’ again. Shit, I did not pack it.

You rushed through the sidewalks turning around ever-so-frequently just to check if anyone was following you. “I am just paranoid…” you whispered. Just breathe, it's probably just a stray cat. “You know what, maybe I should go bac-'' before you could finish your sentence someone harshly pulled on your shoulder and pushed you to a nearby wall. “GAaaAhhH! What are you doin-" Once again you could not finish your sentence since the strange man covered your mouth. ‘Is this really happening,’ you start to scream but nobody hears you. Who would? It is literally 1 AM in the morning. Nobody was going to be around at this time. ‘I should have not gone outside…now I'm going to die…’ you struggle against the man’s grasp.

I need to escape. Now! You bite the man’s hand, but he does not do as much as flinch. He pulls out a knife and steadies it along the nape of your neck. “Give me all you got on you pretty lady before you get hurt,” the man snickers. You shake your head. “No…?” he presses the hand on mouth tighter before gliding the knife to your stomach.

He looks down at my stomach then back at me before smirking. “You are wasting my patience little lady…Are you going to give me your belongings by the good way or-” he pushes the knife against my stomach and you keen, “the hard way…?” You feel a heavy warmth pool through your stomach down to your thighs. Fuck, am I going to die here? Before you could actually respond to the mugger. He goes flying to one side with such force that you might've thought he cracked some bones after the impact, but you were in too much pain to actually check. You slumped to the floor, and you feel your eyes begin to droop. Before everything goes to black you see a mush of red and blue cloud your vision. You hear it calling towards you, but your ears seem to be as if they have been submerged underwater.

“Hey! Are you okay? Don't you dare sleep on me!”
