Work Text:
Red eyes stared at me, imploring and eager. How I'd never put two and two together was beyond me. Of course he was a vampire, but still, I trusted him… Now he asked me to trust him a little further, to let him feed from me. He promised not to take more than he needed, and the way he'd pleaded made me weak in the knees, his handsome face near irresistible. I agreed, hardly having thought twice.
"Let's get more comfortable, shall we?"
He stepped forward as I stepped back, a foot of space between us. I lowered myself onto my bedroll, and he followed me the whole way down, until my head was upon the pillow and he hovered above me. Nerves bloomed as I stared at his handsome face, saw the hunger in his eyes, raw and overpowering. Then his mouth was open, and he lunged.
Pain, like two needles piercing my flesh, then the feeling of ice in my veins, spreading, spreading more, until my entire body was cold. I heard him make a noise, like a starving animal finally getting its first meal after a lifetime of wanting, and I felt my blood rushing as he took great pulls from my neck. My head spun, and I blinked away the dizziness, or I tried to.
I considered telling him to stop. If I told him he'd had enough, I was confident he would stop. If he didn't, I could always stake him. I didn't want to do that. I didn't really want to tell him to stop either. There was something intimate about this, something perhaps I'd been craving in my time on the road. Since I'd stumbled upon him, lying in wait with his clever trap, waiting to put his blade to my throat. I almost wish I'd fallen for it, if only to have seemed like the helpful sort. Maybe we'd have been friends sooner.
As my vision began to dim, shadows creeping in from the edges, I considered once again that perhaps I should stop him. Yet again, I found I didn't want to, especially as he made another of those euphoric noises against my throat, a noise I could feel more than hear, vibrating against me, inside me. His hands, clasped at my hips, made a rough, abrupt journey over my waist, to my ribs, like he wanted to touch me more, feel me, pull me closer to him as he fed. I suddenly found myself wishing he'd knelt between my legs, rather than off to the side. A baser part of me wanted to feel his weight there, his hips pressing into the cradle of my own. I wanted to feel his hunger for me.
The darkness closed in further as my body heated, the ice receding to make room for fire, a delicious, burning warmth that started between my thighs and radiated outward. My fingers twitched. I wanted to touch him, too. Perhaps take the chance to run my fingers through moonlight strands that would feel like silk. To touch his lips where they pressed to my skin, feel the warm blood that had slipped out in his frenzy.
I sighed as I succumbed to the darkness, senses fading until I was no more. What a wonderful way to go.
