Work Text:
It started with an insignificant glance exchanged during their third year. The sun was up in the sky, illuminating the castle and its surrounding, as a calm wind flew past the trees of the forbidden forest. It was an amazing day, dare I say. The birds were singing, and Heeseung felt his heart sink into his stomach as he noticed him for the first time.
Black fluffy hair bouncing with each step he took, flashing grins to everyone in the corridors, eyes almost nonexistent with how smily he was, and of course, that perfect yellow tie around his neck, indicating the house he was in. During his afternoon stroll in the hallway, Heeseung found out his name, Sim Jaeyun, third year, in Hufflepuff. Along the way, Heeseung also found out what it meant to fall in love at first sight.
Lee Heeseung, Ravenclaw, the pride of the House. So young yet so clever and intelligent, always on top of the class, shining with his amazing results on most exams. There is no way he couldn’t be considered as the best student Ravenclaw had seen in many, many years. Except for one subject, care of magical creatures.
Don’t get him wrong, Heeseung is a half-blood, his mother is an amazing witch too, and he’s spent most of his childhood bathed in magic and witchcraft, he definitely knows what a magical creature is. But for some reason, they, in fact, don’t share the same interest in him. When, in the beginning of his third year, he had the opportunity to meet a hippogriff, it didn’t really go well.
At first, and listening to every single step professor Lee Hyun told him to follow, everything was ok. Until it wasn’t. It didn’t take long for the poor student to be hated by the creature, and to develop a short traumatism after the class. However, Lee Heeseung isn’t a coward, nor a quitter. He came back the next day, and the day after, and the day after. Week after week, he came back to professor Lee's class, in hope of finally succeeding. It didn’t work, not a single bit. After the third month of failing, Heeseung gave up.
On the other side of the field, watching from afar, seated between the branches of the high trees, Sim Jaeyun was endeared by the sight of that man trying again and again, even after so many failures. It would be a lie to say Jaeyun wasn’t attracted to Heeseung from day one. Everyone in their year had a crush on him at some point, it was a well known fact, and Jaeyun wasn’t immune to his charms. How could one be ?
And, after seeing him come back one day, he had the idea of trying to help him, and actually address one or two words, because in three years of studying in the exact same class, Jaeyun never had the courage to even say hello to him. Call him a loser, pining over someone out of reach, he doesn’t care. Sometimes, he just knows what to do, what to not do. Talking to Lee Heeseung when none of the two had ever interacted, was certainly something he never thought he would do once in his life.
That day, when he approached the boy, carefully not making a single noise to not distract him, he really thought he would finally be able to offer his help, and get closer with the man of his dreams (at that time). He was wrong. He never had the balls to take the last remaining steps, and instead, opted for staying far away, just close enough to see him through the thick leaves of the trees. Until Heeseung stopped coming too.
After that day, Jaeyun went back to studying, trying as much as he could to ignore that fine boy in his class. As the months, and years, passed by, Jaeyun couldn’t repress his crush for Heeseung, who became more and more handsome. It was even unfair that someone could be that beautiful without even trying.
In his third year, Jaeyun didn’t have friends, he was the guy with a lot of acquaintances, you could say that. If you ever wanted to know something about someone, or even ask where that person was, you only had to find Jaeyun, and your answer would be delivered on a silver plate. But close friends ? Jaeyun had none of that.
Until fifth year came in. Studying in the library, like every day after lunch, during his small free time, Jaeyun was in awe at the view of snow falling outside. He has always been endeared by the show of winter in the castle. Experiencing the first snow in London, and at Hogwarts were two very different feelings, that he couldn’t describe. His thoughts were disrupted by a boy plumping on the seat in front of him.
A quick look told him that the boy was, in fact, a Hufflepuff, and that he was probably younger than him, but not more than a year, considering he was holding a huge book, probably weighing two full Jaeyun.
“Hi.” The boy said, in a cute voice, hiding a small blush creeping on his cheeks. His hair was a pretty shade of brown, and his eyes were almost wide open, at the sight of Jaeyun in front of him. There was no way Jaeyun had never heard of him before, he would have known if there was someone so cute and adorable in his house.
“Hey, can I help you ?”
“You’re… Sim Jaeyun, right ?” His voice was hesitant, yet Jaeyun’s small nod made him more confident. Soon, his fists were unclenched, and after taking a deep breath, he resumed his words. “You’re… quite well known here, I mean, within the Hufflepuffs. And I wanted to ask if you could.. Maybe help me with the Care of Magical Creature. I took the option last year, and I was fine until now, it all became a bit blurry for me.”
Jaeyun didn’t have to be asked twice, he immediately shoved everything away in a hurry, eager to help his fellow Hufflepuff ‘friend’. After all, Care of Magical Creature was his favorite subject, since day one, so helping someone couldn’t be that hard. Considering he would also make an adorable friend, there were no bad sides of the deal.
“Of course, I’d love to. Tell me, what’s your name, and which part of the subject you don’t understand. Let’s start from the basics, it’ll be easier for you, and me.”
The smile on his lips was enough to assure Jaeyun he made the right choice.
“I’m Kim Sunoo, currently in fourth year, so I guess I’m just a year younger than you…” His cheeks were still a bit pinkish, but that only made him more adorable. “I heard a lot about you, considering you’re quite the social butterfly and you… hm, have a lot of relations in between the students.”
“Who did you hear that from ?” Jaeyun asked, surprised, yet a bit proud of the statement.
“A friend of mine, you will maybe meet him later on. But he’s also in his fourth year, and he looks up to you a lot. He told me that ever since he saw you calm and dominate a hippogriff, he would do his best to be as good as you in almost… well everything.”
“Wow, I never knew I was some kind of… hero for other people here. That’s something I never heard before.” He turned away his head, embarrassed of the prior sentence. Even though, without lying, it felt great to hear those kinds of words coming out of someone else’s mouth. Sure, his mother would always tell him how proud she was, and how incredible Jaeyun was as a wizard. But her view was biased, as every mother would tell their son.
“You really underestimate yourself, and your popularity. I’m sure you’re in the top five of the most popular people in the whole school. Everyone knows you, and respects you.”
“No, no, I can’t agree with that. I’m just.. living my life on the side, and enjoying it. I don’t want to be popular, it was never the goal.” Jaeyun quickly defends himself, in a hurry, clearly more embarrassed than anything else now.
“You don’t have to act like a popular kid if you don’t want to.” Sunoo gave him a smile. “But you have to realize you’re not kind of an outcast here. I’m sure a lot of people would be happy to be your friend, but they’re far too intimidated to approach you.”
“Intimidated ? Which part of me screams intimidating ?”
“They just think, as an… elite wizard, you wouldn’t want to befriend them. No one really… knows you in fact. You’re a very mysterious person, dare I say.”
“You don’t have to worry, Sunoo.” Jaeyun gave him the smile back, reaching to cup Sunoo’s head with his. The contact was warm, and it made the boy flush a deep shade of red. “I’d really like to be your friend. Let’s start with that, I don’t need other people.”
“Oh… that really… touches me.”
It’s fair to say Sunoo and Jaeyun were friends by the end of the day, and for the first time since the beginning of his journey at Hogwarts, Jaeyun felt like he finally had someone he could rely on. And it kind of scared him, to open up so easily without thinking twice about it. He trusted Sunoo, don’t misunderstand him, but being able to share every thought that crossed his mind… it’s something he always wished for, but never really obtained.
Until Sunoo happened.
Jaeyun really thought he had found his soulmate when Sunoo entered his life. Those two were the perfect duo, almost bound by blood, despite the fact Sunoo was a pure blood. The friendship bloomed so quickly, that Jaeyun was afraid it would die quickly too. But it didn’t happen, and after three months of constantly hanging out, Jaeyun finally asked Sunoo to meet his friend.
That’s when Riki entered his life too. And Riki… he was Jaeyun’s everything. Younger, even younger than Sunoo, but in the same class, because of the school judging it fair for him to enter a year before, as he was considered an amazing wizard already. Riki was Jaeyun’s pride. Talented, hard working, pure blood and slytherin, nothing could go wrong with him. And nothing went wrong. Not even when Riki was offered the position of seeker in the Quidditch team, during his fourth year, after training every evening just to finally enter the team.
Jaeyun had been with him the entire time, giving advice and bringing food when he knew his friend wouldn’t stop practicing until he was happy with himself. They spent so many evenings together, seated in the fresh grass outside of the castle, Riki’s head on his shoulder, his face in the crook of his neck, almost tickling him in a soothing way.
“At first I thought I was in love with you.” Riki said one day, his head buried in Jaeyun’s chest, as his friend was lying on the grass, moonlight shining above them. “I really thought it was that.”
“But ?” Jaeyun asks, feeling that the sentence wasn’t, in fact, ending here.
“But it’s not that. I don’t love you romantically… And even if I did, I don’t think you would love me back. Not this way. Because I know you already like someone else.”
“What ?” He opens his eyes a bit wider, surprised. “Who ?”
“Don’t act surprised, you know it… Everyone with eyes could understand it. I wouldn’t even stand a chance against the… perfect Lee Heeseung, from Ravenclaw.”
“Riki I- I’m sorry…”
“No, it’s ok. Don’t be. I told you, I’m ok with it, there is no romantic feeling between us. Sometimes… I just feel like you’re more a parent than something else to me.” He finally admitted, hiding his face from Jaeyun.
“Am I ? I never thought someone would tell me that once in my life. Being a parent… You mean a parent figure ?”
“Yeh. My parents are back in Japan, I was sent here when I was so young too. Sometimes I really miss them, but I have to stay most holidays because the travel is way too expensive. I feel homesick… but your presence, it’s comforting.”
“Riki… you know you can always tell me when you feel down, I won’t judge you, it’s completely normal and ok to feel this way. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me, I’ll always be there for you.” With a small kiss pressed on Riki’s temple, Jaeyun smiled, feeling his friend giggle under him.
Riki was young, at only fourteen, he was already expected to do so much for everyone. All Jaeyun wanted from him, was to take care of himself, and experience a normal teenager life. There were no reasons to force so much pressure on his frail shoulders. So it was a regular occurrence to see Riki snuggle close to Jaeyun when everything became too much. Most of the time, Jaeyun even managed to bribe the head of the Hufflepuff so that Riki would sleep with his face buried in his chest. There was something with Jaeyun’s scent, with his natural perfume, that could always calm him.
And just like that, Jaeyun found two amazing friends he spent his whole fifth year with. And before he could even process it, the year ended. Summer break has been an incredible bonding moment for the three, as they decided to visit each other for a week. The first week was spent in South Korea, at Sunoo’s family, then, they went to Japan, to meet Riki’s sister, and to experience their best japanese summer together. And finally, the week before going back to Hogwarts, they were in Australia, exploring the deserts, and enjoying the pearly beaches of the East Coast.
It was an awful idea to drink together one evening, when the three of them were spread out on the chilly ground of Jaeyun’s yard. Their laugh filled the air, as every kind of common sense had disappeared with their consciousness. Only dizziness remained as the fresh hair brushed their sensitive nose, and past their entangled hair.
“I saw this guy when I was walking to the astronomy tower last time. I think I fell in love with him.” Sunoo had confessed, giggling while Riki’s head was resting on his lap. The vibration of his laugh made him grumble slightly, annoyed by the movement.
“Who ?” Jaeyun asked, drinking from the wine bottle, completely out of himself.
“I don’t know his name… But he was sooo pretty. He had fluffy hair, and kissable lips. And three moles on the face. I think I hallucinated because there is no way someone like that actually exists. There is no way.”
“I think I know who you’re talking about. Isn’t he Park Sunghoon ?”
“Oh I know him. He plays in Gryffindor’s Quidditch team, with Park Jongseong. I never heard him talk tho, he’s always been on the side, but he’s a pretty damn good player. I have to give him that.”
“Riki, language..” Jaeyun scolded him, putting the bottle away once it was finished. He felt dizzy and unwell, there was no doubt he would fall asleep soon.
“Sorry, sorry. But you have to agree, he’s good. Jongseong is the keeper in Gryffindor's team. He’s been causing trouble for us. I hope we can win this year. Last time, Gryffindor was above us, and I hate them for that.”
“I think they’re in my class, both of them… Do you want me to ask Sunghoon if he’s interested in talking to you ? I can always do that, we’re not exactly close, but I did a few essays with him before.”
“And here you are collecting everyone again. Who didn’t fall in love with you Jaeyun ?” Riki snarted, rolling his eyes in annoyance.
“I did.” Sunoo admitted, finishing the bottle which was on the floor. The taste was sour, and it burned his throat, but it was pleasant to finally let out his feelings.
“Yeah, me too.” Riki followed him, chuckling. “But Jaeyun has been in love with Lee Heeseung for so long it’s painful to watch now.”
“I don’t allow you young people to talk to me this way. I’m going to get my revenge. Mark my words.” He warned them, even though he wasn’t confident in his own words. This was all a façade he tried to maintain.
“The day you confess to him, I’ll confess to Park Sunghoon. How does that sound to you ?”
“This is an awful idea. I’m in.”
They ended up going back inside, not wanting to spend the whole night outside, knowing temperatures could go down quickly here. Snuggled together, the three of them, in Jaeyun’s bed, enjoyed the atmosphere, not saying anything else, but simply appreciating the feeling of the warm bodies pressed against each other.
No need to explain why, later on, in the airplane, they regretted it a lot.
Sixth year was starting for Jaeyun, and it began the worst way it could. At some point, walking in the corridors, trying to find the alchemy storehouse, he came across a group of students in one of the indoor yards. Usually, Jaeyun wouldn’t even bother to look at them, too deep in his thoughts. But the cries of help were too much to be ignored. So, immediately, he rushed towards them, trying to decipher the situation.
However, he didn’t even need to do anything, as everything resolved itself naturally. Bodies went flying, in a hurry, while only one person remained on their two feet. A Ravenclaw, someone Jaeyun had never seen before. Or at least, he had never really focused on him.
Average height, deep black hair, a red bandana covering a part of his forehead, and a pout on his lips, this guy wasn’t someone you could forget easily. Then, he had turned to face Jaeyun, and the boy was mesmerized by his eyes. He looked like a cat .
“Do you need me for something ?” He had asked softly, in complete contrast of what just happened. And suddenly, his hair fell in front of his face, and he had to brush it to finally see Jaeyun properly. A strange behavior, but Jaeyun already liked him.
“Did you just send them flying ?”
He smiled. “I think I did. Are you going to report me ?”
“No, absolutely not. You were so cool. What’s your name ?” Jaeyun asked hurriedly, already amazed by the boy.
“Jungwon, Yang Jungwon, from Ravenclaw. You don’t have to tell me, I already know who you are. Sim Jaeyun, Hufflepuff, sixth year right ? You’re friends with Sunoo and Riki, they’re in my class.”
“You’re right, they’re my friends.” He nodded. “Do you mind if I ask why this whole… situation just happened. Because it’s not usual to see people flying in the air here.”
“Oh… they were bullying me for being muggle born. I’m used to it at that point, they don’t really bother me anymore. When they go too far, I just knock them out, like I did. Although they’re getting a bit too disturbing these days.”
“Come with me. Be my friend.” Jaeyun simply asked, without thinking twice about it. That boy was adorable, funny, good at fighting and in the same class as Riki and Sunoo. He basically had everything Jaeyun could ask for in a friend.
“Why should I accept ?”
“I mean you don’t have to, if you don’t want to, but that would be amazing for you. And me. Those guys would probably stop attacking you if you’re in a group.”
“Fair enough.”
Jungwon wasn’t hard to convince, and they ended up skipping class together for the morning, something Jaeyun wouldn't usually do. But for once, he felt good not playing the perfect class boy. When lunch hour came in, he brought Jungwon to the table he shared with Sunoo and Riki. Immediately, they both recognized the boy from their class. And the exchange was pretty easy to manage.
“I can’t believe we never talked together all these years. We could have been best friends from the very beginning ! This is insane when I think about it.” Sunoo exclaimed, sipping on his yogurt drink, eyebrow raised.
“I guess it wasn’t the right time to meet. That’s what I always tell myself when I encounter difficult situations. It’s all going to get better with time.” Jungwon answered, nodding his head and gently munching on his bread.
“Oh, you, let me guess, you take Divination classes.” Riki joked, lightening up the mood.
“How did you know ?” Jungwon sarcastically answered, yet smiling at his classmate. “I know it’s a bit contradictory for a… Ravenclaw to take that elective class, but it’s really interesting, and I love the teacher, he’s really good at what he’s doing.”
“Professor Choi Beomgyu ? He’s crazy.” Sunoo smiled.
“Crazy good, I love him. His classes are all about self confidence, and I learned a shit ton of good stuff during those hours. Divination is nothing like what it used to be. I don’t think I could have chosen another elective class, really.”
“You should try to read something for us. Like Jaeyun’s romantic future. That would be useful for everyone.”
“Riki, I swear, since when do we care about my romantic future ? It’s not even related to you, goblin. So stop being so nosy.” Jaeyun answered, pinching Riki’s cheek with affection.
“Yes but next year, you’re going to graduate, and leave school, so if you want to… shoot your shot, then you should do it quickly, before it’s too late.”
“Shoot his shot ?” Jungwon repeats, suddenly really interested in the topic. It’s not like he hasn’t been judged the biggest gossip girl in the grade after all. “Who are we talking about ?”
“Lee Heeseung. That dude right here. According to our analysis, Jaeyun has been in love with him for three years, at least. So we’re thinking about forcing him to confess, because this is getting awkward.” Sunoo rolls his eyes, triggering his friend, who’s now sulking.
“OH ! That’s interesting. I know his friends. He often brings them to the Ravenclaw tower, and let me tell you, my room is next to theirs, and I’ve been hearing them talk. I don’t know which one has such a deep voice, but I call dibs.”
“Sunghoon is already booked for Sunoo tho’, try again next time.” Riki elbows Jungwon slightly, making Sunoo blush in the meantime.
“Deep voice ?” Jaeyun tilts his head. “That’s Jongseong. That blond guy seated across Heeseung. I’m seated next to him in transfiguration classes. He’s a good guy, I assure you.”
“He looks better close up.”
“We never doubted that…” Sunoo answered, distantly, focused, not on Jongseong, but on the boy seated next to him, gently smiling while laughing at his friends’ jokes.
“Look who’s deep in love.” Riki elbows Jungwon lightly, pointing at Sunoo without hiding it. The boy looks so far in his thoughts that he doesn’t even notice them.
Jaeyun was in his sixth’s year when all of this happened. And now, looking at himself, in the mirror of his Hufflepuff room, Sunoo seated on the bed next to him, in his seventh and last year, Jaeyun wonders if he’s going to survive. There is nothing to be stressed about, really, nothing special. Except maybe for the fact the Yule Ball is held tonight, and he’s going to be alone again.
Well. Not really. Sunoo and Jungwon invited each other as friends for the ball, deciding it would be entertaining to go, even if it’s just as friends, and that, in fact, they don’t care if they find the love of their life there. Which left Riki and Jaeyun together. At first, they didn’t intend on going together, mainly because it would have been a bit awkward, but after a few days of not finding anyone else, they gave in.
“You’re sure I look good ?”
“Jaeyun, everyone already loves you here, and everyone would be dying to be your date for the ball. Why are you so self conscious ?” Sunoo arches a brow, definitely unimpressed and puzzled.
“If everyone wanted to date me, then why did no one ask me out ? See, it’s not working, because why is Riki my date ? I love him, really I do, but I wanted to maybe go with someone I have romantic feelings for.”
“Then why didn’t you ask Lee Heeseung ?”
Jaeyun almost chokes on his saliva when he hears Sunoo’s words. Why didn’t he ask Lee Heeseung to be his date for the Yule Ball ? Damn because he doesn’t want to embarrass himself by getting rejected in front of everyone. How does Jaeyun know he would have been rejected ? Trust him.
“Which answer do you want ? The pitiful or the realistic one ?”
“The one you like the most.”
“I was terrified of being rejected, are you happy ? He is the most popular guy in the whole school, everyone probably shot their shot with him, and you know what happened ? He rejected everyone. I’m not popular, he’s out of reach. So, if he rejected all these people, that means I wouldn’t have any chance with him either.”
“Excuse me Jaeyun, but you’re a bit dumb, dare I say.” Sunoo throws himself on the bed, with caution still, careful to not mess with his hairstyle he took years to put into form.
“I liked you better when you were all stuttering and shy to talk to me.” Jaeyun snaps at him, adjusting his tie and making his hair fluffier than usual. Newly blond hair, which is, according to Sunoo, the best hair color he ever had.
On the other hand, Sunoo opted for a faint orange, beautifully blending with his complexion, while Jungwon has decided to go for an impressive red tone. Everyone changed a bit in the meantime, from sixth to seventh year, many of his grade acquaintances opted for a big modification of their physical appearance.
Sunghoon is now blond, Jongseong has black hair, Riki too, and Heeseung… Heeseung has been the most surprising of them all. Choosing, out of everything, a beautiful coral tint that has had Jaeyun in a chokehold since the beginning of the year. Instead of focusing on the usual speech about how their seventh year is the most important, he’s been stuck on that fine man on the table next to his own. At some point, Jaeyun wished they would both be on either side of the room, it would have been easier to throw discreet glances.
Even more when they’re basically face to face, with only one student separating them both. Sunoo and Jungwon are farther near the middle of the table, while Riki is far away at the Slytherin table, and Jaeyun can’t even see him. Knowing Riki doesn’t have a lot of friends in his own house, his instincts are on high alert, as if he would get up at any given moment if he felt his friend being uneasy.
“I was in love with you at that time Jaeyun, of course I was blushing and stuttering.” He sighs. “Everyone had a crush on you in fourth year. You would ask someone what their ideal type was, and ninety percent of the time, you were the answer. I don’t think you realize.”
“Don’t lie.”
“I’m not lying !” Sunoo exclaims, feeling offended. “Even now, with your new hair, I’m pretty sure everyone would die to date you. They were just a bunch of cowards who didn’t try to invite you, that’s all. You know what I think ? You’re even more popular than Lee Heeseung, trust me.”
“There is no way I’m more popular than him, and you know it.”
“Lately, you’ve been pretty high on the list. You’ve always been higher than Park Sunghoon and Park Jongseong too. Even though they’re reallyyyyyy popular in their own way. You know, being Quidditch player and all.”
“Surely that helps. Look at Riki, he’s quite popular too, everyone wants to get his attention, and even more since he dyed his hair black. He matured a lot during summer break.”
“I mean I would want to date him too if I could.” Jaeyun looks at Sunoo like he’s crazy. “No but don’t lie, he’s good looking, and adorable on top of it. So who would pass on the occasion ? If I wasn’t so in love with Park Sunghoon, maybe I would have gone for Riki.”
Jaeyun releases the longest sigh he ever held, as he puts his earrings on to finish his outfit. He doesn’t look half bad, he’s pretty impressed in fact. He wonders if Heeseung will ever dare to throw a glance in his direction. What can he say ? Jaeyun is a dreamer.
“Come on pretty boy, we need to go before it’s too late.” Sunoo drags him out of the dorm, pushing him through the door and into the corridors without listening to his complaints. They walk around for five minutes, before finally arriving in front of the Great Hall. Jungwon and Riki are nowhere to be seen for now, so they patiently wait next to the big doors, watching as everyone eyes both of them when they walk past.
“They all look like they want to eat you out.” Sunoo comments, making Jaeyun blush even more, hiding his face in his hands. “Come on don’t be shy, this was a compliment, not an insult, you don’t have to be offended.”
“You’re gonna be the death of me Sunoo.”
Jaeyun removes his hands, and watches as the flow of people slowly disappears. That’s when he sees him in the crowd. He’s standing still, not moving, and looking directly at him in the eyes. Lee Heeseung is a creation of god sent to earth to tease him. To show Jaeyun what he can’t afford, what will always stay out of reach. And Jaeyun hates it.
Heeseung is ethereal under the dim lights of the corridor. He’s not even glowing in the great hall lights, he’s simply standing in the middle of busy students trying to reach their seat. He’s wearing a gray costume, nothing outstanding, yet, he makes it look amazing. Jaeyun truly thinks Heeseung was made to be adored, to be praised and to receive prayers.
They stare at each other for so long, that Jaeyun almost forgets what he’s supposed to be doing when Riki shyly taps on his shoulder, avoiding eye contact. Riki looks good too, he’s sure a lot of people will try to approach him tonight, or to ask for a dance.
“You look so handsome tonight Jaeyun. I can’t believe I have the right to be your date, this is such an honor.” Riki half jokes, blush creeping on his cheeks.
“You’re marvelous as well Riki, I’m so happy to dance with you. Come on, let’s make our way inside, I don’t want to sit at the very edge of the table because everyone took the first place.”
Luckily, during occasions like those, students are not expected to sit at their own table, so instead, Jungwon, Sunoo, Riki and Jaehyun take place on the middle left one, finding a place in the middle of a hubbub of happily feverish students.
“This place is crowded damn, I don’t remember the school having so many students. Where do they all come from ?” Sunoo looks everywhere, mouth slightly open, a bit surprised and puzzled.
“They’ve been here the whole damn time Sunoo, I can’t believe you only notice them now.” Jungwon answers, elbowing him.
Riki doesn’t really answer, he’s focused on Jaeyun in front of him. He’s shining, like a shooting star lost on Earth. Jaeyun has always been Riki’s angel, his mother figure, the shoulder he could cry on. And he knows that in the past, he has been attracted to him because of how pretty and impressive the boy was. Sitting on top of every class, knowing almost everyone and definitely achieving impossible things. And sometimes, Riki feels bad when he recognizes a part of him still asking for the feelings to be more romantic than platonic. Even though he knows it can’t happen.
“Are you ok Riki ? You’ve been zoning out for some time now. Is it because the place is too crowded ? We can go back to the yard if you want some fresh air.”
“No, I’m fine.” He throws him a shy smile. “I think someone is looking for you, from the other side of the room. And I think you’d like to know who that person is.”
Jaeyun turns around skeptically, and immediately finds himself stuck in the tensest eye contact he ever had in his life. But that’s not what he’s surprised about. The disturbing part is that it’s none other than Lee Heeseung whose gaze is piercing through him. Jaeyun feels himself getting red, and he wastes no time going back to facing Riki.
“Oh my god, why is he looking at me like that..?” He asks, to no one in particular.
“He finds you hot.” Jungwon answers, high fiving Sunoo at the same time, as they share a knowing glance. For the nth time in the evening, Jaeyun feels his cheeks heat up at the sound of their words. Those goblins were cute when he first met them, so why are they becoming such trolls ?
“Stop that oh my god. I literally hate you.” Jaeyun hides his face in his hands, deeply sighing as he tries his best to maintain his composure. “What should I do ?”
“Make out in the hallway with him.” Sunoo immediately receives a hit on his head. “Ohw why did you do that ? I’m only trying to help you ? It’s clear as fuck that you both like each other, now that’s I’m actually acting like a good bro you’re being mean. I’m not paid enough.”
“You’re not paid to be a friend, Sunoo.” Riki rolls his eyes, and tilts his head on the side, eyeing what’s happening behind Jaeyun’s back. Sunghoon and Jongseong are fighting like toddlers, while Heeseung is still piercing holes in Jaeyun’s head, as precise as lazer.
“Come on, it’s starting, I don’t wanna disrupt the principal’s speech. It’s my last year, so I might as well enjoy it.”
“Who enjoys speeches…” Sunoo asks, but his question falls in deaf ears, as Jaeyun turns on his side, trying to still have his back facing Heeseung and the whole table where his friends are now silently seated at. With their bickering finally gone, Heeseung focuses on the view just a few meters away from him. Jaeyun is glowing, the sparkle in his eyes went straight to Heeseung’s heart when they made eye contact. Fuck, dancing will be really hard if he has a serious problem going on.
“You look constipated.” Jongseong raises a brow and slaps Heeseung in the back, a sharp sound echoing at the table, making everyone look around, searching for the source of that noise.
“Do that one more time and I’ll make you never see the light of day ever again.”
“He’s just saying the truth, you look like you have to take a shit before you actually explode.” Sunghoon adds, only receiving the same treatment as his friend before.
“Shut up now. You would be in the same condition if pretty little Hufflepuff Kim Sunoo made eye contact with you.”
“Jaeyun didn’t make eye contact with you, he turned around because Riki told him to, and then he avoided you like the plague. Ever thought about the fact you might scare that poor boy ?” Sunghoon sighs and puts his head on the palm of his hand, a tender smile appearing on his lips as he looks over to find perfect Kim Sunoo talking and giggling with Riki, both of them trying to make the least noise possible.
“You should just ask him to dance with you. What you got to lose ?” Jongseong pats Heeseung’s back, pretending to be a good friend for once. Something he’s never done before.
To be fair, Heeseung has been friends with those two since day one. Being together in the train was an important bonding moment, and from that one promise they made to stay by the other side, they never ever parted ways. It’s been more than six years now, and neither of them ever thought of breaking the deal. Being stuck with those idiots was the best thing that ever happened to Heeseung.
“He’s going to reject me. Dude, have you seen the way he looks at me ? He is probably planning to murder me in the forest.”
“He looks like he wants to make out with you until the sun rises, that’s all. Why do you always imagine the worst case scenario ?” Sunghoon breaks out of his trance, finally looking at his friends. The view of those two dumbasses is far less interesting than the ethereal Kim Sunoo from the other side of the room, but for once, he decides to be a good friend. “Stop panicking over the whole situation. Just… go with the flow.”
“If I ever fail, I'm blaming you.”
“You can even curse my whole family if you went to man, I don’t really care.” And with that, they all shush, listening to the never ending speech their principal is giving them. However, none of them is really attentive as the boys from the table in front of them are way more interesting than those words they’ve heard every year already.
Soon enough, they find themselves on the dance floor, table pushed aside, and couples dancing together while the classical music is being played in the background. Heeseung has never been a classic enjoyer, he likes to tell himself it’s only good for old people. But as he sees Jaeyun swinging with Riki in the middle of the dance floor, his hair following the movement and his eyes twinkling in amusement, he tells himself that maybe, this isn’t half bad.
The song ends, and after a last glance thrown at Jongseong and Sunghoon, who are goofily dancing together in order to pass time, he finally steps closer, obtaining a disturbed reaction from Riki. Jaeyun is still turned away, and Heeseung can’t see the look on his face when Riki mumbled something in his ear.
Slowly, Jaeyun lets go of his friend, and finally, he meets his eyes, glowing, sparkling, everything nice, and Heeseung feels himself being tense as the seconds pass. Jaeyun is still dumbfounded, and Riki has disappeared, probably gone to disturb Sunoo and Jungwon. Instead, there’s an awkward silence between them, until the music calms down, coming for an interlude.
“Hey, I hope I don’t disturb you.” Is the first thing Heeseung manages to mutter, unable to maintain eye contact. He mentally slaps himself, but resigns.
“O-oh… no, don’t worry, I’m fine. Do you need me for something ?”
“Not really, I just wanted to know if you wanted to… dance with me. To the next song. I’d love to share that moment with you.”
Jaeyun doesn’t have time to proceed with the words, as Riki pushes him forward. The world spins around for a few seconds, but soon enough, he’s met with a hard surface, and it’s not so difficult for perfect student Jaeyun to comprehend he just landed on Heeseung’s - Lee Heeseung - chest.
“You little…” Jaeyun mutters between his teeth. The frustration goes away as soon as he realizes the situation he’s in. “I’m… so sorry for what just happened. It’s my friend, he’s a bit of a prankster and you know hm, young people.”
“Oh yeah.”
“Yeah.”
The whole mood sucks, and Jaeyun is sure everyone is making fun of him right now, because he can’t act properly in front of his long-time crush. But who could blame him? A lot of people in this room would also be silly if they were asked to dance with Lee Heeseung, the one and only most popular boy in the whole school. Jaeyun is simply a victim of those charms he likes to display for everyone to see.
“So, you’re still in for the dance or not ?”
“Of course I am !” He replies, a bit too hurriedly maybe. “I mean yes, I am, I would love to dance with you.”
The notes start again, allowing everyone to finally move from their fixed position. Their steps are hardly instinctive, they’re the result of overthinking from both sides, and Jaeyun is impressed they even managed to not step on each other’s feet after moving around in such a haze. The room almost twirls around in a blurry movement, and Jaeyun wonders if it’s the effect of alcohol he didn’t even drink, or of Heeseung’s attractive perfume all over himself.
“Are you ok ? You seem to be quite tense.” Heeseung whispers in his ear, making Jaeyun shiver. This isn’t how he imagined his evening to be. Not with Heeseung’s hot body pressed against him, or even with his large palm against his covered waist. The contact is enough to send thrills down his spine, and the worst part is the fact he enjoys it.
He loves the fact he’s weaker and way smaller. He loves that feeling of being protected and held in those strong arms wrapped around his silhouette. At some point, during the dance, they have to avoid another couple coming quite close to them, and to do that, Heeseung’s palm applies pressure on Jaeyun’s waist, making him whimper softly, almost inaudible.
But not for Lee Heeseung, who, against everyone’s assumptions, is able to hear it. And when he does, he feels blood rushing to the bottom of his stomach. A bit lower even. This is embarrassing enough, being hard in public is a penalty, but while dancing with the one you consider to be the love of your life is even worse.
“I’m fine, it’s a bit hot in here, don’t you think ?” Jaeyun is able to mutter under his breath, his eyes glassy. And how Heeseung wants to see him like this under other circumstances. But for now, he regains his consciousness, and simply nods his head. It sure his hot as hell in the room, but it’s mainly because of Jaeyun’s body pressed against his own instead of the whole temperature.
However, he will keep that to himself, no one needs to know it for now.
“I’ve been telling myself the same thing. Do you want to get out of here and… I don’t know, take a break from the ball ? We can come back later.” Heeseung offers, and it doesn’t take a long time for Jaeyun to accept.
The weather outside in the open corridors is way better, the wind is slowly pushing their hair away, and Jaeyun feels like he’s finally alive again. They didn’t dance together for a long time, but it feels like they stayed in the middle of the room for an eternity. Eventually, he leans against the cold concrete wall, and shuts his eyes, releasing a satisfied sigh. If he could spend the whole night with Heeseung here, simply enjoying each other's company, then he wouldn’t need to be asked twice.
“Do you feel better ?”
“Yes, way better. This is nice here… I wish I could stay here the whole night.” He hums, his eyes still closed. For a few seconds, nothing happens, but as soon as he opens it again, he’s met with Heeseung’s face. Close. Way too close. What is he doing ?
“Is that really your wish ?”
“I wouldn’t tell you if it wasn’t.” There’s a glimpse of mischief in Jaeyun’s voice as he pronounces every syllable distinctively, like a charm.
Heeseung’s hand isn’t hidden in his pockets anymore, it’s coming closer, and ending its journey on Jake’s waist, just like before. But it’s nothing like it used to be. The contact makes him shiver intensely, his body melting under the touch. Jaeyun knows he’s down bad for him, and that he will probably oblige to whatever Heeseung decides on tonight. He’s far too gone already.
“Now tell me Jaeyun, my friends kept saying you looked like you wanted to make out with me the whole night. Are they speaking the truth ? Or are they dirty liars trying to make fun of me ?” His voice is harsh, almost demanding, and something in Jaeyun twitches when he hears the tone Heeseung uses on him.
He has two choices. Play along, and comply, or be a brat, and face the consequences. Even if not a lot of people know it, Jaeyun is a player. He’s not gonna quiver in front of pretty perfect Lee Heeseung.
“I don’t know, are they ? I mean, we’re only classmates, there is no real reason for me to say something like that. We’re barely acquaintances. Lee Heeseung.” He makes it obvious to separate every sound of his name, rolling it on his tongue until he’s satisfied with himself.
“From the way you would always look at me during classes, I believe they’re at least speaking the truth at some point. I don’t know how far you’re gone Jaeyun, but let me tell you, I’m not letting you escape tonight.”
“Who said I wanted to ?”
It doesn’t take long for their worlds to collide in a hurry kiss, mixing all those emotions they’ve been feeling for years, yet that have always been locked up in a certain part of their heart. Jaeyun’s back is against the wall, pressed firmly until everything he can think about is the feeling of coldness behind him, and the lips pressed on his. They’re soft, really soft, a type of love he never experienced before. It’s almost surreal to even think about these existing. It’s all too good to not be a dream.
Jaeyun’s hands find their way in Heeseung’s soft hair, enjoying the smooth feeling under his fingertip, and releasing a small whimper when he feels the boy backing away. The loss of contact makes him sulk, pouting his lips in an adorable expression. Heeseung almost plunges back immediately as he takes great delight in observing every detail on Jaeyun’s flushed face.
“Hmm ? Miss me already ?”
“You surely talk a lot for someone who was afraid of asking me for a dance.”
“You’re acting like a brat. What do you think the other would say if they knew you’re being so pliant right now, accepting what I’m giving you without complaining, just because you wanna make out.” His thumb brushes over Jaeyun’s bottom lips, and it takes everything in him to not actually kiss him right now.
“They will say that I’m hot. And you know it too.” He smirks, gathering every kind of courage he has to form words. “But you know what’s even more impressive ? The fact people would pay to have you looking at them, and I just got to kiss you without even spending a single penny. Isn’t it all fantastic ?”
“I would give all of myself for free to you if it meant kissing you everyday.”
Jaeyun doesn’t wait anymore to cup Heeseung’s face with his small hands, and bring his lips on his once again, almost moaning at the feeling of their worlds colliding once again. Where Jaeyun is soft around the edges, Heeseung finds himself showing a rough side he never knew he had in the first place. They’re grateful to be alone right now, it allows them to explore different feelings they’re not sure they would have had the balls to before.
“A-ah. Stop-” Jaeyun mumbles when he feels Heeseung’s hands wandering from his waist to a more dangerous area.
“Is that what you want though ?” Heeseung grins softly, knowing damn well what he is doing to the poor boy in front of him. “Is that really what you want ?”
“I-” Jaeyun bites his lips, suddenly conscious of everything surrounding him. The sight of Heeseung so close makes his pupil blown wide. He feels his skin jolting, and every single sense he possesses is multiplied by a hundred. “No. Fuck. No, I want you to continue until we’re both so out of breath we can’t do that anymore.”
The words go straight into Heeseung’s heart. Or not. Maybe it goes somewhere else, but he’s too caught in the middle of the action to even care about it.
“Would that be all ?”
“Mark me yours, for fuck sake.” He finally whimpers, as he feels those hands gripping on the bottom of his thighs, forcing him to wrap them around Heeseung’s waist. He feels so tiny and soft under his touch.
It’s all too good to not be a fever dream.
Heeseung wakes up alone today. The sun is shyly shining through the windows, as the Ravenclaw tower stays still, as straight as it has always been. The feeling of the cold bed sheets next to him is unpleasant. Most memories from yesterday come back to his mind in a daze, and he feels himself blushing from head to toes. A look at himself reveals two things :
One, he’s completely naked and that’s half a good and half a bad sign. Two, he sees scratching marks all over his chest, and probably on his back, but he will need a mirror to assure himself of that.
On his way to the bathroom, he’s met with Jungwon, who happened to be here in order to wash his face. Once they both look at each other, judging their current condition, they share a good laugh.
“You look like you drank way too much for someone underage.” Heeseung tells him, passing a hand in his hair.
“And you look like someone who got mauled by a bear, was it that good ?”
The blush that appears on his cheeks is enough to remind him of the night he spent here, accommodated between Jaeyun’s legs as his whimpers filled the room perfectly. A melody to Heeseung’s ears. He spent the night devouring those moans coming out of Jaeyun’s lips, unable to stop, and probably too far gone to even notice the way Heeseung looked at him.
For sure they were suspicious to ditch the party and celebrate on their own, but who could probably blame them ? After all these years of unresolved tension, they were finally able to let it all out.
“Where did he go ?”
“Oh he didn’t tell you ? That’s a shame.” Jungwon crosses his arms, showing a mischievous smile. “I guess he’s just… avoiding you or something.”
“What ? Why ? No ! He can’t avoid me after all that happened ! We at least need to talk about it ! He can’t leave this way-”
“Damn chill !” He rolls his eyes. “It was just a joke. Of course Jaeyun won’t leave just like that, he’s waiting for you somewhere else. So you better hurry up before he decides to ditch you.”
“I don’t know where he could be ! Come on, the castle is huge. Please Jungwon, I beg you, tell me where he is !” He drops on his knees.
“Ew… get up please, this is awkward.” He mutters. “Come on, there is one place Jaeyun likes the most, and you should know it, if you’ve been spying on him for the past five years.”
Heeseung can’t even say anything else, as Jungwon is already gone, probably to find his friends in the Great Hall. Almost naked, all alone and standing in the middle of the corridor, Heeseung feels so out of place he might just faint on the spot. He gives himself a small slap on the cheek to get back to his senses, and releases a deep sigh. This is gonna be fine. Everything is gonna be fine.
The first thing he does is to take a good shower, feeling crusty and nasty. Once he’s done, he finally puts on his cloak, and arranges his tie the best he can. His neck is almost discovered, and when he looks into the mirror, he discovers the marks Jaeyun left during the night. For sure, Jungwon was right when he said he was mauled by a bear. How did he even manage to mark him with those hickeys without Heeseung realizing ? He was probably way too focused on making him feel good to notice.
People on the corridors look at him amused, whispering among themselves. Most of them don’t know how the Lee Heeseung managed to look that perverted in his appearance. Usually clean and steady Heeseung now rushing through the corridors to reach the Gryffindor dorm. He knows the password, of course he does, he has spent the best slumber parties of his life with Sunghoon and Jongseong here, but today, he doesn’t really need it. As soon as he approaches the dorm, the door opens, revealing his two friends.
“OH MY- Heeseung ! You fucking scared me man !” Jongseong puts a hand on his heart, looking out of breath. “What’s your problem ?”
“Do you know where Jaeyun could be ?”
Sunghoon and Jongseong frown at the exact same time, making a similar facial expression, showing Heeseung their distress.
“What do you mean ?” Sunghoon looks left and right, searching for the prank camera. “First, why do you need to know that ? And second, why would you ask us out of all people ?”
“Because Jungwon didn’t want to tell me, so I was thinking maybe you would know where he could be. He told me the place Jaeyun likes the most, but I have no idea which place could be his favorite !” Heeseung almost shouts, obtaining puzzled glances from students around them.
“You’re really a dumbass, oh my god.” Jongsong rubs his temples, annoyed by the early disturbance. “Everyone knows where Jaeyun likes to spend most of his time. And I really thought you were clever, you know smart and all. But actually, you’re not.”
“That hurts.”
“He’s right tho’.” Sunghoon adds. “You have to be one hell of an idiot to not know where Jaeyun could be right now. Come on, think, where could he be ?”
“In the library ? In the Great Hall ? In the yard ? I don’t know ! Ok maybe I’m in love with him but I haven’t been stalking him !”
“For fuck sake, Heeseung ! Pull yourself together !” Jongseong smacks him on the head, making his friend yelp in surprise and pain. “Jaeyun loves creatures, magical creatures, everyone knows that ! How could you not ?”
The sentence is enough to make Heeseung let out a small ‘oh’ of surprise as he looks around. They’re almost alone now, everyone has reached the Great Hall for breakfast. Which means even if he shouts, no one will hear him. However, now that he’s got the main information, Heeseung doesn’t feel like screaming anymore. He feels like throwing up from how stupid he was.
He doesn’t even take the time to thank both his friends, whom he hears grumble behind, and rushes to go down the stairs. The part of the castle dedicated to the magical creatures is far away, and for once, Heeseung is thankful for having such good cardio. After seven minutes of running, he finally enters the forest. The wind is shy, the sun is hiding by thin clouds, and a strong scent of strawberry and peaches fills the air.
And then, he sees him. Standing up in front of the impressive creature, his head tilted up, and a smile on his lips. His hand strokes the hippogriff’s head, as the creature leans into the touch, yelping in satisfaction. There is no exaggeration when it comes to saying Jaeyun is loved by everyone, may it be humans or animals. No one can deny it.
“Be careful when you come closer, you might scare him.” His voice echoes, scaring Heeseung in the process. Without even turning around, he managed to feel his presence. To which extent will Jaeyun continue to impress him.
“I’ve never been good with animals or creatures anyway.” He chuckles, and this time, Jaeyun allows himself to look at him.
“I know, I was with you in class. All this time.” He smiles. “You were… my role model. When everyone thought you would give up on that class, you kept coming back, again and again, just to improve and to finally tell yourself ‘I did it’.”
“How do you know that..?”
“I was here too.” Jaeyun blushes, and returns to patting the hippogriff, who’s eager to receive his attention. “At first I just wanted to know what you were up to. You know, you could have been practicing dark arts or something like that. And I didn’t intend on staying, but everything about you was just so… endearing, I couldn’t help myself.”
“So you’re saying that you saw me all this time.” Heeseung resists the urge to hide his face in his hands. “This is embarrassing, I’ve been struggling, and I really thought I was alone.”
“How is that embarrassing ?” Jaeyun chuckles, cupping the animal’s face and rubbing his cheek against his nose. The hippogriff growls happily in return. “It literally means you’re brave enough to not let failure affect you. That’s why I admire you so much.”
“Stop saying that, you’re making me feel…”
“Feel what ?”
“Like I’m actually not a loser.” He turns his head away, avoiding eye contact the best he can. But Jaeyun’s laugh pierces through the atmosphere, and Heeseung can’t repress the smile forming on his lips. “What-”
“Come here, don’t be shy. I’m going to teach you. This isn't hard.” Jaeyun leaves the animal’s side for a few seconds, taking Heeseung’s hand in his own. The feeling is hot and he feels his palms getting sweaty. If Jaeyun notices it, he doesn’t uplift it. “First thing, you have to bow in front of him, to show him respect.”
Nodding his head, Heeseung complies and bows in front of the majestic creature. From up close, it looks even more impressive. After a few seconds of only silence filling the air, the hippogriff mimics him, and bows too.
“You’re doing great. Don’t move yet, let it come to you. They have to take the first step, or else you will scare them away.” Jaeyun continues, as the creature looks around, suspicious, before finally coming towards them. “Perfect… Present your hand now. Right, you’re doing perfectly.”
Heeseung soon feels the hard material of the beak coming in contact with his hand. It’s cold, and the sensation is unpleasant, but he feels so relieved that finally, he has managed to earn the Hippogriff’s trust after so long. Jaeyun smiles next to him, just enough to make his eyes slightly disappear. And for a hot second, Heeseung wonders what he did in his previous life to deserve such a sight.
“How do you feel now ?”
“It feels… great. Really. I thought I would never be able to do it. So now that I actually.. Did it, it’s a relief. Thanks for helping me, Jaeyun.”
“Nu-uh. I didn’t help you. You did it all yourself. I only told you what the books say, you then proceeded to act on your own. I’m proud of you.” With that, Jaeyun wraps his arms around Heeseung’s figure, and even if he is the one providing support, he’s significantly smaller and tinier, making Heeseung look like he’s about to explode.
“Jaeyun can we… talk a bit ?”
“Hmm…” Is the only answer he gets from the boy whose face is buried in his chest. He doesn’t even try to resist his internal urge, and passes his fingers through Jaeyun’s messy tangles. How does he manage to keep it so healthy ?
“About yesterday, I mean.. I’m sorry if we took things hm.. Too far. You know we were caught up in the situation, and I lost control I think. So if you don’t want to talk to me ever again, I would understand.”
“Asshole, you think I would be hugging you if I didn’t want to see you again ?” He detaches his face from Heeseung, his arms still around his silhouette. “Use your brain for once, Heeseung. I wanted this as much as you did, and that’s why I said ok. Trust me if I didn’t want you to be my first, I would have said no.”
“I was your first ?!” Heeseung almost shouts, eyes wide open at the sudden confession. He didn’t expect someone as popular as Jaeyun to be… well a virgin.
“Is that a bad sign ?”
“No ! No. I don’t mind, I’m just.. Surprised, because.. Well, you were my first too.” Looking away, he scratches the back of his neck.
“Surprised ? You think I would have done it before with someone else ? Who are you thinking about ?” He can feel Jaeyun’s smirk without even seeing his face. It’s audible in the tone of his words.
“You’re always with that tall kid… Riki ? I think that’s his name, excuse me but I wouldn’t have been surprised you two would have been a thing.”
“Riki ?! No ! Of course not ! He’s the closest thing I have from a family member, I’m not into that kind of thing ! Oh my god Heeseung, you’ve been the only one on my mind for years, I wouldn’t even think about dating someone else. You’re so dumb, I hate you !”
“Do you now ?”
“No ! Oh my god. You’re a nuisance, and you know it. Do you enjoy it, toying with my feelings like that. Fuck you Lee Heeseung.” Jaeyun sulks, but he fails to hide the wide smile attorning his lips. “I’m really thinking this is all just a dream.”
“And what does the Heeseung in your dreams would do ?”
“He would cup my face, kiss me lovingly, with passion, and then tell me he loves me. And maybe after, he would bring me back to his room. And I leave the rest to your imagination, you won’t mind right ?”
“Why would you need to dream, when the real one is right in front of you, ready to show you what dreams are made of.” His smirk is supposed to be feral, to be hot, but it appears as tender on his lips, showing to Jaeyun every single feeling he had buried deep inside his heart.
“Then why isn’t real Heeseung doing what he promised me ?”
“Because he’s an idiot.”
With that, Heeseung wastes no time in capturing Jaeyun’s lips once again, in a much more tender way than they did yesterday. The contact is soft, so so soft as Jaeyun feels himself slowly melting. He’s always been meant to admire the boy that has suddenly his lips all over his own neck, marking the place as his and his only.
“It looks like the shower I took in the morning will be useless after all.” Jaeyun chuckles when he feels Heeseung’s hands leaving his face to trail down his body, reaching his waist.
“We can still take one together after, if you’re down for it.”
“It would be mean of me to refuse.” Jaeyun smiles, as Heeseung takes his hand on his own, guiding them to the castle. This day is going to be fun.
