After being teased and abandoned by his lover, and losing his best chance to prove his worth after surviving the Avery incident, Rafe is left with endless frustration and extreme pain. On top of that, he must cope with the heavy pressures of family relationships and conglomerate corporations.
Pain, loneliness, and despair make his life a mess.
Rafe seems to be stuck in a quagmire that he can't get out of, and he's too tired to have the courage to struggle and rebuild.
