Truth or drink? Or even kiss... maybe

Summary:

Mary loses a bet to Kirari and indirectly brings Ririka down with her to suffer the consequences.

Notes:

Sooo I wrote this inspired by @notahumanweirdo spop fics. I'm using the same questions so if you are a she ra fan I totally recommend to go check them out.

They have to play truth or drink which is basically truth or dare, but you drink instead of doing a dare. Also in this, Kirari hands them the questions they are supposed to answer or drink.

Work Text:

— Ughhhh! Why did I agree to do this again?— Mary groans as she lets herself fall back against the couch in a rather disgraceful way, looking questionably at the bottle of vodka on the table.

Ririka twists her lips as she finishes setting up the camera for it to record both of them as she is going to take place in front of the blonde.

— I recall you lost a bet to Kirari...— she reminds her, voice low, unexpressive, like usual.— One I recommended you not to agree to, by the way.— She adds in that know-it-all tone that is the closest to amusing Ririka can get.

Mary rolls merely her eyes and crosses her arms.

— That was a rhetorical question, Ririka.— she retorts in a tired tone.— What are you doing here, anyway?— she asks bitterly but the white haired woman knows better than to take it to heart.— You didn't agree to it, so?

Ririka's face flushes but she still keeps her expression stone cold as she takes a seat in front of the angry woman. Truth is, she did agree to help Mary with this due to Kirari's ambiguous warning.

— It'll be easier if she does this with a friend, someone she knows… As the questions are rather… personal.— Kirari told Ririka once Mary had stormed out of the room, too angry to hear any of Kirari's recommendations.— Yumeko would be the perfect companion, actually.— she said with an annoyingly knowing smirk, voice taunting and Ririka had to clench her fists not to refuse right away.

— I'll do it.— she said instead.— I'm her friend.— she stated with that serious voice of hers, so serious Kirari found it amusing… and predictable all the same.

— Yes, I guess you could fill the job just fine as well.

She twists her lips again at the memory, pressing them to form a thin line.

— Well, Kirari said it would be better if you do this with a friend… you know, after you… walked out of the room.— Well, "walked" was an understatement.

Mary raises an eyebrow.

— You didn't tell me that. I could have asked Yumeko.— she says, looking defiantly at Ririka who, of course, was expecting this.

She didn't want Mary to do this with Yumeko. The simple idea of them both alone in a room with alcohol involved, answering personal questions… Well, let's just say it irked Ririka's entire nervous system in a way she found too unbearable. Not to mention that Yumeko is unpredictable and volatile and of course Ririka wanted Mary to be comfortable if she was to answer questions no one would actually dare to ask her, hadn't she lost the bet. Always thinking about Mary's safety, as a real friend should do, right?

— Want me to call her instead, then?— she questions nonetheless, because as much as it bothers her, she wouldn't force Mary to do this with her if she doesn't really want to. The terms of the bet didn't say anything about a specific partner, anyway.

Mary's eyes slightly widen, not expecting Ririka to just agree with her, deflating almost immediately. She knew the Ririka didn't like Yumeko for some reason; everytime the crazy black haired girl shows up when she is with the twin, she can see all too clearly how Ririka's shoulders tense and her face becomes even more expressionless somehow. But for her to just agree to call her, she thought Ririka would be at least a little… territorial? Well- not that Mary enjoys the idea of Ririka considering her to be hers IN THE SLIGHTEST, but… Well, maybe thinking Ririka would be jealous is a little selfish of her. Not that she has tried to make her jealous at all, anyway.

She shakes her head, trying to clear up her thoughts that have taken that weird but too familiar route again. She has found herself thinking about Ririka in some way she knows is not totally friendly, awfully too frequently for her liking lately.

— N-no, it's fine.— she finally answers as she huffs in annoyance, also avoiding looking at Ririka, afraid that she might read her mind.

— Alright.

— Let's finish this already.— Mary says as she takes one card from the stack Ririka has just placed in the table between them. — I don't even know why we have to record this...— she mumbles while flipping the card.

— Terms of the bet.— Ririka answers her even though she knows that's another rhetorical question.

— Okay this one goes: "Finish the sentence with me. My favorite type of-" What the hell?!— she snaps and Ririka instantly looks up, confused.

— What?— she questions as Mary's face begins to turn a deeper shade of red.

— It says: "My favorite type of… porn is…?" — she is too shocked to even sound mad at all.

Ririka blushes despite the question not being directed to her and watches Mary take a look at the bottle of vodka. When Kirari told her it would be personal questions she never thought it would be THIS type of personal questions, that's just something nobody should tell anyone.

— I guess it's drinking for me.— Mary says, grumbles more like, trying to act nonchalant. But just before her hand reaches the bottle, she hears Ririka stifle a chuckle.

— Don't you dare laugh, Momobami.— Mary threatens her but Ririka almost snorts.

— It's just, it says: "Finish the sentence with me"... So, I get to answer too...— she trails off, sounding as serious as she can bare and almost losing it when Mary glares daggers toward her.

— You are drinking too.— the blonde sentences, looking intensely her way like knowing she would never say no to her, so daring Ririka almost wants to disagree.

She takes the bottle and pours two drinks as an answer and smiles to herself as she sees Mary relax from the corner of her eyes.

They both down it in one go. Mary furrows her eyebrows at the feeling of the liquid burning its way down to her stomach and is too annoyed when she sees Ririka is completely unfazed.

— Seems like you have some experience.— she comments, sarcastic, swallowing for a second time to relieve the burning feeling in her tongue.

— Let's just say I've had to follow Kirari's games too many times.— Ririka answers.

— Fine, let's get this over with.

Mary takes another card, afraid of reading it but obliges.

— "Did you ever have a crush on one of my exes? What did you do?"... Okay, weird enough but I don't even know what to expect anymore.— Mary says as she closes her eyes like finally accepting her fate.

Ririka again twists her lips and struggles to keep a normal expression. She hasn't known Mary long enough to ever meet someone the blonde had decided to date, except for Yumeko, if you could even call that dating. She knows there was some weird thing going on between the two, and Mary has addressed it as just kissing once or twice at parties but Ririka doubts it was only that as it bothers her too much to think it was something more.

— Easy though, I can answer that for you.— Mary brings her out of her thoughts and Ririka stays silent, noticing the tension over her shoulders.— Ririka hates Yumeko.— she lets out bluntly, looking at the camera deadpanned.

— What?!— that seems to make the twin snap out of it.— I don't- I do not...— she complains as her face gets redder and Mary bursts out laughing at her.

— Come on, it's obvious.— she says while wiping the tears of laughter away.— Like, I'm not saying we dated, because we didn't— she clarifies to the camera.— but you hated her every second it lasted and even now you still do.

Ririka frowns, finally letting herself react as she wants. The anger she has once pushed down surfacing a little but she can't ever let it get over her. She can't ever let Mary know she has been jealous the whole time.

— I just think you deserve better.— she defends, although almost as a whisper Mary struggles to understand and the camera probably doesn't catch it. She looks to the side, almost ashamed.

Mary blushes at the thought. Thinking that Ririka thinks so highly of her to deserve someone good beside her is honestly flattering.

— I-its my turn now.— Ririka states, clearing her voice as she tries not to feel so exposed at what she just said.

She grabs a card and flips it.

— "If you had to eat one part of my body, what would it be?"— Ririka's eyebrows furrow more at the same time she pronounces every word.

Mary smirks, finally enjoying this for once.

— That's easy, but I honestly want to hear your answer to that first.— she says, leaning her elbows on the table and putting her face in her hands, intently looking into clear blue eyes that look back at her unsure.

— Huh… I guess your pinkie? Or something like that, as I guess you could live without one finger easily...— Ririka answers and drawls, putting her mind to work into it. It's the most logical answer, right?

She is taken aback when Mary scoffs as if she has just insulted her.

— W-well, what's your answer, then?— she asks nervously, not wanting Mary to be mad at her.

But the blonde isn't when she looks back at her with that sly smirk back on her face. Ririka shrugs in her seat.

— Well, your thighs of course.— Mary answers simply and Ririka feels like short-circuiting.

— Wh-what?

— I mean, have you seen those legs?— the girl asks the camera, motioning to Ririka's legs pressed firmly together.— It's obvious you don't miss exercising and it shows.

— I just… practice basketball with my sister.— Ririka murmurs, her face flushed, continuously averting her gaze.

— And it shows.— Mary repeats amusedly, like proving her point.

Ririka shrugs again and beats Mary at grabbing a card.

— This one goes: "Who's the boss in the relationship?"— she immediately regrets taking the lead as she feels her face heat up again.

Her back straightens as Mary smirks toward her and leans back on the couch, looking far too amused for Ririka's comprehension. She thought Mary would hate this but she actually looks like she is having a blast, also probably because the whole agreeing to Kirari seems like it has backfired for her.

— Again, easy.— Mary states, and Ririka pauses her thoughts only to curiously look at Mary, waiting for her answer.

And the blonde takes her damn time. She leans one arm over the top of the couch and crosses her legs, sly smirk never leaving her face.

— Me, duh.— she answers at last and even though it's what Ririka expects, she almost huffs.

Like, yes, Mary pulled the strings in their whole 'partners for the elections' stuff but that's just because Mary is obsessed with winning against Kirari while Ririka couldn't care less. But who is the one that advises Mary into what bets to take? Who is the one that knows how to beat Kirari best? Who is the one that hovers around her like a bodyguard and has saved her from numerous dangerous gambles?

She presses her lips in a thin line that might as well seem like it touches each extreme of her face. She crosses her arms as that cold, dead serious demeanor takes over her and Mary's smirk is cut short.

— What's that look for?— Mary hisses and Ririka's seriousness almost breaks to a smirk of her own at how fast the blonde changes moods.

She keeps on staring right into Mary's eyes with that look… that look that has the blonde feeling weak in the knees, that look not even Kirari can bear. To Mary, Ririka's eyes are so much deeper than Kirari's. And then they are trapped in a bubble, like it just seems to become a habit of time and space whenever they are looking at each other. Mary knows it's not her imagination playing tricks, she is too self-conscious for that just as Ririka knows it's no coincidence.

— Fine! Maybe she takes control sometimes...— She decides to cut the moment short herself, unable to return the intensity of the gaze and looking at the camera while she says so.

Ririka smiles satisfied without looking at the camera once. Kirari had said to make it funny, entertaining but Ririka knew she would use this footage to mock them later.

Mary takes another card when it becomes clear Ririka won't as she seems to have decided not to take any other due to her last embarrassment.

— Huuhhhh… "Is there anything I believe in that you think is bullshit?" Woah, this is a good one.— the blonde flips the card down while smiling again, all her confidence back.

Ririka takes her time to think and a smile creeps its way to her face while her mind clicks. Mary doesn't like the look of it and consequently regrets saying it was a good question once Ririka answers.

— Mary has always believed that Sayaka has a crush on me.— the white haired woman tells the camera for the first time and Mary instantly cringes.

Why is she so embarrassed of that? She has no idea, maybe it has to do with the anger that the only idea produces on her or it is just irking how the secretary is so… attentive with Ririka all the time.

— It's true though?— she defends, managing a confident tone despite her flushed cheeks.— She looks at you as if you are some… goddess or shit…

— She looks at Kirari that way, Mary, not me.— Ririka clarifies and suppresses the need to roll her eyes.

So maybe, Sayaka has looked at her in a weird way but Ririka is sure the girl is completely whipped for Kirari.

— Whatever!— the blonde raises her arms in annoyance.— Anyway, Ririka here thinks Yumeko and I have something going on.— she snorts as if she couldn't believe it herself, as if that's the most absurd idea she has ever heard.

And it annoys Ririka.

— That's not only me, though… Everyone else thinks so.

— Hah! So maybe we kissed one time but that was it! And if Yumeko is whipped for me then that's not my problem.— Mary fires back, matter-of-factly.

Ririka presses her lips together one more time and doesn't say anything. She would rather die than to have to admit out loud how much the whole idea of Yumeko with Mary annoys her. It's impressive really, this level of restraint.
She picks another card, just to do something, forgetting in the way the fear of reading something too personal.

— "Is there anything you are ashamed to tell me?"— Well, Kirari be damned. How impossibly convenient.

Mary chuckles under her breath, and if she knows what Ririka is thinking, she doesn't say anything about it.

— Well then, Riri baby— Mary jokes but it makes Ririka's stomach flip.— Is there anything you would like to tell me?— she asks in an exaggerated pleading tone but again, it doesn't have the effect she thinks on the other girl.

Ririka swallows. I'm in love with you would probably be a good answer and it would make Mary cut the funny act but this is Ririka we are talking about. She eyes the vodka instead but Mary sees right through it and snatches the bottle away before the girl has the chance.

— Uh-huh.— Mary voices while shaking her head.

— That's not fair.— Ririka complains but she already knows it's useless.

Mary stares right at her, with one arm protectively around the bottle, eyebrow raised. And Ririka knows she is done for.

— Your temperament is quite limited.— she blurts out.

And it does the trick. It cuts Mary's funny act and makes her face go bitter red. She smiles and Mary snaps.

— Limited?! You wanna know what's limited?! Your view of the social world is limited!— harsh, Ririka knows but again, she knows better than to take it to heart.

She looks at the camera deadpanned and just lets her point be proven.

When Mary finishes her angry tantrum, Ririka encourages her to answer the question.

The blonde, ashamed now, bangs her head against the table and mumbles something.

— Sorry, I didn't catch that.— Ririka apologizes politely, like she didn't just attacked Mary's most exposed quality.

The latter straightens up and puts the bottle back on the table, looking like she really could use one shot instead of answering but her tendency to look for justice doesn't let her. She knows it's only fair to be honest.

— Sometimes… and only sometimes!— she exclaims.— I don't… totally hate how you look… with the mask on.— she says but her voice progressively becomes more of a murmur as she fidgets with her hands and struggles to keep still.

Ririka opens her mouth but immediately closes it, her eyes widen and she feels the familiar warmth over her cheeks.

Well, she surely wasn't expecting that at all. Mary despises the mask, she would burn it for all she knows if Ririka didn't take care of it. She is sure Mary would disappear it without a second thought if she had the chance.

— Don't look at me like that!— the blonde complains.

— I'm sorry, I just… I was sure you absolutely hated it.

— And I do!— Mary retorts, crossing her arms in a way Ririka finds adorable.— It's like you are hiding yourself and it's impossible to know what you are thinking and you know I hate that.— she explains and Ririka nods.— But… it becomes handy when dealing with crazy people and… it makes you look… intimidating— she reasons but Ririka doesn't know why she thinks that's not the adjective Mary really wanted to use.— in a good way…

— Doesn't mean I'm going to start letting you use it again around me, though.— Mary clarifies hastily after Ririka's silence gives her no clue of what she may be thinking.

— A-alright.

They keep staring at each other for a little while until Mary looks away and takes another card from the deck.

Ririka doesn't know what's taken over her that she can't seem to tear her gaze away. She watches Mary swiftly lift the card, her eyebrows slightly furrowed and her lips pursed. And Ririka would recognize it as her default expression except for the pink splashed in her cheeks. And it sends butterflies to her stomach, being the reason Mary is blushing makes her feel funny, it's kind of addicting.

The way she is licking her lips in order to say something is hypnotizing, the way her eyelashes create a golden halo around also heavenly golden eyes. Eyes Ririka has always considered warm but sometimes so warm they could burn like they are burning holes through the card right now.

— What is it? What does it say?— Ririka asks, suddenly overly aware of what she was doing just a second ago.

— Looks like we are finally drinking something.— Mary says distracted, though her eyes remain fixated on the card.

Ririka is only able to read once Mary puts it down and proceeds to pour two shots. Again the familiar warmth engulfs her face and she is not able to read it twice. Though, her heart aches a little at how fast Mary refuses to complete the dare. "Kiss me on the lips or take 3 shots each." Well, no wonder the blonde refused. They are friends, nothing more nothing less and Ririka knows that, but she can't help but to wish Mary considered her a friend like Yumeko.

Mary downs her shot and Ririka is about to, when she is putting the card down, she flips it and catches something hand-written in the back. She suppresses a snort, and debates if she should show it to Mary, who is now downing the second shot with clear struggle.

— What is it now? Why aren't you drinking?— the blonde questions, eyeing Ririka as she is about to pour the third shot.

The twin decides it's probably better to let Mary know than to have to stand her sister coming at her for months, because she's sure if Kirari finds out- and she will- that Mary didn't read her little taunt, she won't hear the end of it. So she places the card on the table toward the girl and watches.

Mary looks at her and then down at the card, putting the bottle down while she reads and her face goes bitter red again as a frown takes place.

— There's no fucking way.— she curses and lets out a chuckle in disbelief.

The text said: "I knew you were gonna coward out, blondie" in that delicate, classic handwriting too familiar for it to be mistaken. Kirari had planned all of this somehow and it really shouldn't surprise the two girls like it is.

— Coward? Me?— Mary continues to ramble angrily as she stands up, her words dragging a little. She shoves the card back to the table and Ririka flinches.

— M-mary… it's fine, I-i'm sorry I didn't know she had planned this- — the white haired woman apologizes while she stands up and puts her hands up trying to calm Mary who is now stepping around the table, a hand on her face.

And the blonde doesn't know what's taking over her, if it is the alcohol kicking in because she is a lightweight, or Kirari's provocative words or that maybe the dare doesn't seem like a bad idea after all. Because maybe she has been daydreaming about that for a while but has mistaken it with her mind playing tricks on her. The gleaming on Ririka's lips is no mind trick, nor the way she is being so patient with her. And something tells her that she is as clueless as herself about all this.

— You know what?— she steps closer to the taller (infuriatingly) girl.— Fuck it.

Ririka's eyes widen as her apologies are stopped roughly by a pair of lips crashing into hers. It all happens so fast she barely has time to keep her balance. Her heart rate takes a dangerously fast pace and her stomach flips once Mary's lips soften and the contact becomes sweet and gentle. Her eyes flutter shut when she feels soft hands cup her cheeks and the warmth of another body pressing against hers.

And Mary's state is no better. She feels explosions inside her and can't control her movements anymore. Everything around her disappears and suddenly she forgets this is all a dare.

She tangles her hand in that hair she has been dreaming of touching for months and kisses her deeper. What is she doing? Why does it feel so… right? They are friends and it's obvious that this bet thing was made for people with far more trust and feelings for each other-

She pulls away, bewildered and a little dizzy and she doesn't feel any better when she sees the clear confusion in Ririka's blue eyes and the redness on her cheeks that reaches the tip of her ears is almost cute- Stop!

She shoves her away and Ririka's back meets the couch roughly with an 'oof'.

— W-what? Mary?

The girl pays no mind as she goes back to her seat and doesn't spare another glance at the girl in front of her that hasn't taken any effort into looking any calmer. She sits straight, taking deep breaths to calm herself.

— Mary… w-why did you…

— Just don't say anything!— Mary interrupts.— I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that, this is a bet and you are not supposed to-

— It's fine-

— No it's not!— she shouts and it makes them both flinch. She is too afraid of ruining the moment longer so she finally stays quiet and peeks over to Ririka.

She is looking at her with those sweet blue eyes of her, no hard feelings on them but… patient, always patient and gentle and comprehensive and she just can't take it.

— Do you regret it?— Even her voice is patient and comprehensive.

And no, Mary doesn't regret it even if she has started something that might not end well.

— … No...— she answers after a while and finally dares to look up. And she feels instantly relaxed when the other's eyes don't waver, only a little smile plays on the corner of her mouth.

— Then… you should...— Ririka signals to the deck of cards that are left.

Mary's eyes widen at just how perfect this girl is but doesn't say anything and takes another card.

— Right… "What's the thing you dislike about me the most?"— she reads out loud and makes a face.— I don't know if I want to know the answer to this.

Especially not after I kissed you and pushed you away without any reason. She thinks but doesn't voice it.

Ririka smiles at her and Mary's heart quickens for the hundredth time.

— That's alright, I'll take the shot but I would like to hear your answer.— the unwavering steadiness of her voice relaxes her and makes Mary feel guilty all the same.

— Are you sure?— she asks and Ririka nods, downing the shot.

Mary thinks for what seems a minute or two and blushes at what she is about to admit.

— That you hide yourself… from me.— she adds the last part sheepishly.— I hate that you don't see how amazing you are.— she confesses and maybe she only lets herself be honest because she feels like she owes her this much.

Maybe she isn't certain about what her exact feelings for Ririka are yet, but she likes her, that much is for sure now.

Ririka blushes in response but isn't able to say anything back. She did and does hide herself and try as she might to just take it as an 'old habits die hard' thing. She is also just quiet because it makes her feel stuff that Mary admits this after she kissed her, the whole emotion hasn't down on her just yet.

Mary clears her throat to take them both back to what they are supposed to do.

— Well, I definitely need a drink now.— she states, her voice back to strong and confident.— Also, you are reading the cards left.

Ririka merely chuckles and takes yet another one from the deck obediently.

— "If I ever killed someone, would you help me cover them?"

It's almost funny how Mary visibly relaxes as she understands the question.

— That's probably the most normal question I've heard so far.— she scoffs.— And to answer it, I'm most certain Ririka wouldn't need my help. — she says half joking, crossing her arms as she raises an eyebrow playfully, talking to the camera again.

Ririka doesn't know how to feel about that so her expression remains uncertain until Mary talks again.

— Just as I'm certain that she would help me, with no questions asked probably, which is a little creepy.— she finishes but Ririka is still clueless about how she should feel.

Of course she would help Mary cover a murder, that's what a good friend would do, right?

— You would help me… right?— the blonde questions once she doesn't get a response.

— Yes… of course.— Ririka finally answers and Mary nods in agreement.

Ririka proceeds to take another card and is relieved that there are only two left, she hears Mary thank God under breath and smiles.

— "What would it take for us to have sex?"— she reads in an unchanging serious voice and consequently cringes.

Mary flinches like she has just been punched in the face and lets out a shriek of pure horror. Ririka can't help but to rub a hand through her face because even if she is able to keep a calm appearance almost always, there's just so much one can take. She feels her face heat up and curses her sister inside her head. How did Kirari even come up with these?

— I mean- maybe if she took me to dinner first and not having it proposed by a fucking play card?!— Mary chimes, the sarcasm spilling as she lifts her arms in exasperation.

But she forgets that Ririka is a little oblivious sometimes and immediately feels the embarrassment as the face of the twin becomes tomato red.

— I'm not serious!— she yells terrified.— I don't- I don't mean it!— she hisses as she hides her hot face down in her hands and groans.

Silence takes over and just when Mary is going to break it because of how tense it feels, she hears a laugh, a sweet genuine laugh filling the room. She looks up to see Ririka covering her mouth with a hand and the sight is just so beautiful, she can't even act mad. She halfheartedly smiles at her and then lets out a half exhausted - half relieved sigh.

— Just read the last one already.— Mary says with her voice tired, leaning back uncomfortably as she begrudgingly hopes the last question or dare isn't too bad.

Ririka swallows and takes a deep breath before taking the last card and decides that she won't read it beforehand, she will just voice it and let it be.

— "Sit in my lap and stare lovingly in my eyes for 1 minute or take a shot."— Well, shit.

Ririka is suddenly taken by a cough attack, like she was drowning a second ago.

— Oh hell no, not happening.— Mary lifts her arms and lets out a humorless laugh.

She pours two drinks and Ririka is still coughing when she takes her shot. She is actually glad that Mary didn't go on with it because it would probably be too much, even if the idea of having Mary spread in her lap, eyes half lidded open, cheeks flushed… Stop! Yes, too much indeed.

Bonus:

When they walk out of the classroom, Mary struggles to walk in a straight line and Ririka is too distracted to point it out, however she walks close to her in case the girl trips.

They walk in silence toward the student council room, and it is so quiet that Ririka can hear clearly her heartbeat in her ears, she isn't sure why her body keeps rushing blood so fast. She can't stop thinking about that kiss, it replays again and again and she can almost still feel it in her lips.

She feels Mary's hand brush accidentally her own and she almost lets out a yelp.

— W-why…?— she lets out to cover her scream up.— Why did you…? I mean, was it because the card said so or…— she starts rambling out even though she knows it is better not to, but she can't help it. She needs to know why, even if the answer may hurt her.—… because of what Kirari wrote…

She shuts up when she hears Mary's groan become louder and is about to just let it go when the blonde suddenly pushes her to the side. Well, more like Mary shoves her into the closest open room. Her back crashes against some shelf roughly and a whimper gets trapped in her throat because of Mary's arm crossed over her chest. The blonde uses her other hand to close the door behind her and that's when Ririka realizes they are probably in the janitor's closet.

It becomes too dark to see anything but Ririka is made acutely aware of Mary's closeness when she feels her breath over her lips when she speaks.

— I did it because I wanted to...— Mary says through gritted teeth, though Ririka doesn't know why she sounds so mad.— And… because… I was just not gonna let your sister call me a coward...— she admits, voice calmer as she loosens her arm and lets Ririka breathe properly.

The taller girl is about to tell her that it's okay and that they better go back but decides against it when the blonde clicks her tongue and keeps talking.

— But… only for the sake of being sure…— the girl drags out, lowering her voice until it's only a murmur.

And Ririka tenses when she feels a soft pair of lips against hers, again. This time Mary is softer, slower, she kisses her softly and the twin can't help but to immediately relax. She feels Mary's hands again cup her cheeks, so gently and caring she feels like dreaming. This time she lets herself be bolder and gently brings Mary closer by her hips as she deepens the kiss. And she feels her organs flip when the blonde lets out a pleasant muffled moan against her mouth. They kiss for what feels like minutes until the blonde pulls back, much gentler this time, looking for air. They breathe heavily, still close with Ririka's hands still buckled to Mary's sides, she is not letting her go so easily this time.

The blonde smiles though the other girl can't see it and leans up again for their mouths to meet in a sweet, chaste last kiss.

— There...— Mary says when she pulls back completely.— No dare and no one telling me to do it.

She takes Ririka's hand and only lets go when they are outside of the room. A small smile appears on her face when she sees Ririka all flushed and shy now. So, maybe the alcohol gave her the boost of bravery she needed but she knows she won't regret doing this later.
