I don't even know

Summary:

Neil and Andrew had a rocky start. But now that their friends no one knows where the line begins and where it ends. Is the line even there anymore? Who knows. But if it is it won't be for long.

Work Text:

I couldn’t sleep. Not because I was kept awake by any actual obligation. Simply just, ugh, I wanted him. My Drew. My brother’s best friend. He had always been there for me, even when my brother and him were having one of their “bro code fights.”
I picked up the phone, dialing his number by heart.
“Drew.” I elongated the syllables when he picked up.
Andrew chuckled. I heard a rustling in the background, and I felt a little guilty for calling him while he was asleep.
“What’s up, Neil?” His voice was so fucking gravely it almost made me hard just thinking about it.
“I can’t sleep,” I whined.
He chuckled again. “Awe, poor baby.” He yawned, “want me to come over?”
I was shocked. I didn’t know how to respond to that. The line between friends and. . . something had been blurring between us recently, but it had never been this thin.
“To do what?” I asked breathily, a little stunned.
“I don’t know,” he whispered, joyously. His voice was getting dangerously dark and I couldn’t stop myself from letting out a little whimper. He caught it, of course, but we both knew he wouldn’t say anything. “We could watch a movie, cuddle, eat some snacks and laugh about geometry? Whatever helps you to sleep, prince.”
I covered my mouth, hiding the squeal of joy. “Okay, I mean, I guess, if your not busy or anything, which, if you are-”
“Prince," he cut me off.
“Y-Yes?” I stuttered.
“Stop. I don’t care if I am in the middle of finals, message me if you need something okay?”
“Okay.” I couldn’t be happier if a puppy was dropped in my lap.
“I am gonna stop at the drug store and grab a movie and some snacks. What do you want?”
“Can you get me a white monster and talkis?”
Andrew sighed, sounding like he was getting up. The familiar jingle of keys. “No prince, you need to go to sleep. What else?”
“Please?” I begged. At this point I didn’t even care about the monster, I just wanted to push. Just a little. Just to see what he would do.
“No. That’s final.” His voice was so dark. I was getting harder the more I was thinking about it.
“Yes sir,” I joked.
I couldn’t describe the sound he made if I had a whole dictionary. Something between a moan and a chuckle. “I am gonna get you a gatorade. You be a good boy and wait for sir to get there, okay?”
“Yes sir,” I whispered. I don’t think I was joking that time.
