Work Text:

The sounds of the occasional owl filled your ears as you checked your satchel of collected herbs and spices.

You were missing only saffron and bluebells for your potion, but that’s only found at the farthest edge of the forest. All the shops in your village ran out, and they wouldn’t receive a shipment for months.

But this is a big order, and you need those ingredients.

Checking your map, you follow along the dirt path before hearing a howl in the distance.

“Shit, wolves?!” you grumble as you keep moving before starting to run when you hear their growls get closer. “Oh fuck no!”

Running past the clearing, you scream when the ground suddenly inclines, sending you tumbling down the hill. “ Oh mon Dieu,”(oh my god) you groan when you land at the bottom, spitting the dirt and twigs from your mouth.

Looking around, you notice a large cave with a slight glow coming from within. ‘Maybe I can shelter there for the night… ’ you think and hold your hand up, creating a weak light from your palm. Another howl sounds in the distance, and you rush into the cave, seeing the small wood fire causing the light.

‘Someone must have been here,’ you think before hearing a deep voice whisper in your ear.

“Lost?”

You yell and spin around, blindly punching the air. Your fist lands, and you hear a loud wheeze and a thud.

Fuck…” your ‘attacker’ chokes out, coughing and rolling on the ground.

“Oh my god,” You gasp and crouch to check on him. “Are you okay?”

Don’t…don’t touch me right now ,” he chokes, holding his throat.

“Sorry. But you deserved it for sneaking up on me,” you apologise.

The man rolls onto his back and frowns up at you. “You’re in my home!”

“You live here? It’s…nice. But why?”

He sits up, clearing his throat. “Because I can? You’re trespassing so I don’t think you have the right to ask me questions. And you hit me.”

“Well you scared me,” you huff stubbornly.

The man rolls his glowing blue eyes and stands up, body covered by the darkness not touched by the small fire. “State your business here.”

“I was running from some wolves and I fell down the hill and ran into the cave for shelter. I’m not leaving though.”

“Wh—why?!”

“Cause it’s fucking scary! Are you crazy? I’m staying here for the night, no funny stuff, I’m a witch.”

“And I’ll eat you. Get out.”

You snort. “ Eat ?”

The fire in the cave suddenly grows brighter. It turns blue as the man’s whole body is revealed, showing scales along his cheekbones and sides of his neck along with long spiky white hair hiding two small black horns.

You step back. “You’re a dragon.”

He folds his arms over his bare chest. “Yup.”

You fold your own arms. “I’m not leaving. Even if you were an ogre or a troll.”

“You’re a stubborn one,” he chuckles. “You’re not from here, your accent is different.”

“I’m from the south—Africa— originally but my parents and I moved to Shiketsu a few years ago.”

“Mm, okay. You’re so small .” He pokes your cheek with a clawed finger. You smack it away.

“You’re just big . I’ve never seen a dragon before, I thought you were huge scaly creatures. Well, the scales are there,” you poke his cheek like he poked yours.

“I can shift, little intruder,” he smirks, looking over your body.

You put your hands over the low neckline of your dress.“Hey, I said no funny stuff! So where do you usually sleep?”

“In my nest, obviously.”

“Nest? I thought dragons had hoards and stuff they sleep on.”

“My hoard is mine. I guard it but I slept in my nest,” he growls before sighing and pointing toward the giant pile of straw and fabrics in the corner. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”

“You think I’m cute?”

He blows smoke in your face. “Just sleep before I change my mind.”

Climbing into the nest, you pat the straw before finding a comfortable position and use a separate blanket for a pillow. “Comfy. Thank you for letting me stay here.”

“Yeah, whatever,” he grumbles, lying beside his nest.

A soft vibrating noise makes you turn. “What is that?”

“Don’t worry about it.”

You look over at him with a raised eyebrow before shrugging and laying back down, putting an invisible barrier between the two of you just in case .

He looks at you one last time before shutting his eyes.

*

Why's it so warm?’ You think when you wake up, yawning loudly. Your eyes open and meet big cobalt blue ones.

“Time to wake up, intruder.”

“Ahh! Dude, what the fuck is wrong with you?! Were you watching me sleep?!”

“No.” Yes, he was, but he’d never tell you that. “Time for you to go home.”

You sit up, stretching your arms over your head. " Je suis si raide.”(I’m so stiff)

The dragon watches you stand up and stretch some more, tying back some loose twists back into the ponytail. “Do you by chance know where I can get saffron and bluebells? I know they’re around here but I don’t know where exactly.”

“Those red needle thingies from the purple flowers? Yeah, there’s a field not too far from the creek nearby that’s full of it. Also, if you’re looking for bluebells, they should be near the saffron field. Just head north then west to get back to your village.”

You smile at him. “Thank you so much, see ya.”

“Bye.”

As the dragon shifter watched you collect your things and walk out of his cave, he groaned to himself as his cheeks warmed and his tail wagged like a puppy. “I should follow her to make sure she’s safe…yeah. And get breakfast.”

Touya stretches before shaking out his hair and stepping outside. He sniffs the air, catching onto your lingering scent and walking toward the smell. Why does she smell so good?

Walking towards the edge of the field, he watches you from the treeline as you pick several saffron flowers and stuff them in your bag. Touya’s tail wags slowly as he watches you go about your business, sniffing some of the flowers before putting them in your satchel. The branch Touya is sitting on cracks a little, making you turn, but you don’t notice him and go back to your task.

After collecting enough, you start walking towards the creak, looking up at the trees.

The branch cracks again, shaking Touya. “Oh shit, shit!

He falls out of the tree, landing at your feet in a heap. “Dammit! My shoulder!”

“What are you doing?” you snicker.

“Hunting?” He mumbles, rolling over and standing up.

“By following me? Uh huh.”

“This is a prime hunting spot,” he explains.

“That just happens to be exactly where you told me to go.”

“Coincidence?”

You roll your eyes. “What do you really want?”

You. “I, uh…are you married?”

“Excuse me?”

“Do you have a partner? You don’t have a ring, and I’d notice if you did.” He points at your hands.

You stare at him. “…I’m leaving.”

“Wait! I didn’t mean to upset you,” he calls out as you turn around and start walking away.

“You’re weird as fuck, éloigne-toi de moi .” (get away from me)

“So are you for coming into a dragon’s cave in the middle of the night, then punching them in the throat.”

“Because you scared me,” you shout back.

“You had your back to me. That’s on you for being unaware of your surroundings.”

You turn suddenly, nearly making him bump into you. “You know what, fuck you!”

He grabs your shoulders. “I want you to.”

“What?!”

“I desire you carnally ,” he emphasises. “You’re so pretty and smell really good.”

You shake his arms off. “Are you crazy? I don’t even know you! Thanks for letting me stay at your cave and stuff, but I’m gonna go. Don’t follow me! Go home. To your home.”

You back away from the tall man, then turn, rushing down the western path.

Touya watched you rush down the path, his tail drooping as you ran away. “What’d I do wrong?” he mumbles.

Back in Shiketsu, you finally relax when you get to your home, seeing your mothers having breakfast in the dining room.

“Y/n?!” Adela gasps, standing to check on you. “ où étais-tu? We were worried sick and just about to call a search party. ”(where have you been?)

“I went looking for saffron and bluebells, then I got chased by wolves, ran into a dragon shifter that I think is obsessed with me now, and now I’m here,” you ramble. “Also I’m really hungry.”

“Your mother already made breakfast. But we’re talking about this after. My poor baby, go take a bath and rest.”

You hug her before going up the stairs to your bedroom to get ready for a bath.

‘Mrow’, your cat, Midnight, yowls when you enter the room, jumping from her spot on the bed, rubbing her body on your legs.

“Hi baby,” you smile and crouch to pet her, twirling her tail between your fingers. “Did you miss me?”

Mrow’

“No? Hmph, guess I’m going catnip hunting by myself next week.”

She keeps rubbing and looks at the window, hissing loudly and arching her back.

“What’s wrong?” You look up. “What the hell?!”

On the tree outside your room sat Touya on a branch, staring into your room and waving when you lock eyes with him.

“Ma!” you shout, scrambling out of the room as Midnight glares at Touya.

Andrea walks to the foot of the stairs catching you. “What happened?!”

“The dragon! He followed me! He’s outside my window.”

“What?!” she shouts, grabbing her spellbook and rushing up the stairs toward your room. Looking around, she relaxes when she doesn’t see anything. “There’s no one here.”

You push the window open, seeing no Touya. “He was here, I swear! Tell her, Midnight.”

‘Mrow.’

Andrea sighs. “You’re probably just tired and seeing things. Go shower and take a nap and I’ll bring you breakfast.”

“But—”

“You’ve been through a lot, dear. Relax.” She kisses your forehead and exits your room.

You look around. Nothing . “Maybe I am seeing things, Midnight.”

Meow, ’ she meows skeptically.

“I know you saw him too but…I dunno. Watch the room while I bathe, okay M?”

‘Mrow!’

“No, it’s a cute nickname.”

Twenty minutes after bathing, re-doing your hair, and putting on a more comfortable slip, you step out of your bathroom and start unpacking your ingredients. Midnight meows loudly at the mirror again, making you look up and see your follower .

“Hi,” he waves behind the window.

You step back. “I wasn’t seeing things. Fuck.”

Steeling yourself, you open the window again. “What are you doing here?”

“I’m courting you, duh,” he smiles, showing off sharp fangs. “Your home is nice.”

“You’re stalking me?”

Courting . I even brought shiny things.”

He rummages through his black cotton trousers and pulls out multiple necklaces and jewels, holding them out. “Put them in your nest.”

Unbelievable !

“Look, I’m flattered , I think, but I’m not interested—is that a diamond?” You look at one huge crystal in his hands. “How did you get a diamond?”

He shrugs. “I dunno, I saw it in the ground one day and took it. You can have it.”

“Wow, it’s beautiful.” You hesitantly take it and hold it up to the light, watching it sparkle. “Can I really have this?”

“Does this mean you’ll let me be your mate?” He grins.

“No. That’s not how humans do it, this stuff is pretty though. First of all, stalking is not cute.”

“Stalking? I’m not stalking. That’s only when I’m out hunting.”

You take the rest of the jewels and put them on your desk. “Following me home is stalking.”

“Oh. Well, if you let me spend time with you out here is it still stalking?”

“Mm, yes, cause you still followed me. Don’t do that anymore and maybe we can work something out.”

“Meet me at the clearing this evening at sunset?”

“If it gets you to stop stalking me, sure.”

“Great!” he leans into your room and gently headbutts you before he smiles and hops down from the tree, “Bye!”

You watch him rush down the street, drawing a few stares.

Midnight hops on the sill, smelling it before meowing curiously. “I don’t know either, he’s weird. But this stuff looks expensive.”

“Mrow mrow?”

“Maybe. I could find a fish for you too with the money. Come on, naptime then I’ve got potions to make.”

*

At sunset, you tell your mothers you’re off to get more herbs and pull on your cloak, walking down the street towards the outskirts of town.

Once you reach the clearing, you pick the occasional dill weed and stuff it in your pocket before turning around at the sound of squealing.

You see a large blue flash before Touya drags a giant wild boar toward you.

“What’s he doing?” You mumble.

Touya drops the dead, slightly singed boar at your feet. “I brought you food.”

“Food?”

“Duh, it’s smaller than I’m used to but you’re not that big anyway.”

You stare at him then the dead boar before gasping, “Wait a minute, you catch boars bigger than this?!”

“You don’t?”

“I’m not really the hunting type. Thank you, I suppose, even though I can’t exactly take it home.”

Touya looks at you, head tilted with curiosity. “Why not?”

“It’s huge! I can’t carry that!”

“I’ll do it. Problem solved.”

You sigh. “We’ll see.  So is that what you called me out here for?”

“No, there’s more. I wanted to spend time with you and show you something.”

“Oh?”

Touya swishes his tail and smiles when you watch the fireflies swarm around you.

“Wow, they’re beautiful!” You gasp, watching them. “I’ve never seen so many.”

“When you find the right spots, you learn about the animals in the area.”

“Amazing,” you smile, holding your finger out for one firefly to land on it.

“You’re amazing.”

You scoff. “You don’t even know me. We spent one night together.”

“But I want to know you.”

“I guess having a dragon as a friend isn’t so bad. Just stop being so weird.”

He snorts smoke from his nostrils. “Okay, I’ll do it the human way.”

You giggle as he chuffs. “Do you always do that?”

“Only when I’m frustrated.”

“It’s funny,” you smile. “I like it.”

Touya’s eyes light up as his tail wags softly, making a couple more fireflies fly around.

You play with the bracelet around your wrist and slip it off. “I want to give you this, it’s a sapphire bracelet some guy tried to court me with a few years ago but he was an idiot. You like shiny things, right?”

“Yeah, I do. But why’d you keep it?”

“As stupid and crude as he was, I like shiny things too.”

“Are you sure you’re not a dragon,” Touya chuckles.

“Yeah, I’m sure,” you smile, twirling a rock. “But, really, I want you to have this. But you owe me something.”

“Really? What would that be?”

“Your name, stupid.”

“Huh? Oh, my name. My name’s Touya.”

“Touya. Well, Touya, my name’s Y/n. It’s nice to finally meet you.” You hold your hand out.

He shakes it, his massive hand completely engulfing yours. “You too.”

Touya tries to gently headbutt you again and frowns when you lean your head away.

“What are you doing?” you ask.

“Trying to greet you? It’s what we do.”

“Ohh, weird. Maybe hold on to that for when we’re more familiar.”

“Oh…okay,” he pouts, his wagging tail stopping for a moment.

You hear a bell chime in the distance. You stand up and dust off the dirt from your skirt. “I’ve gotta go back home. It was nice seeing you.”

Touya stands up and softly grabs your hand. “Wait! It was nice seeing you too. Same time tomorrow?”

“Same time tomorrow,” you smile, brushing your thumb on the back of his clawed hand before letting go and walking back to your village.

He clicks the bracelet closed around his wrist, smiling at it. Now he has to figure out how to bring the boar to you.

The next morning, Adela’s yelling calls you downstairs. Outside, a small crowd had gathered in front of your door, hiding the object from view.

“This is for you apparently,” Andrea hands you a note.

You read the messy handwriting. “ I told you the problem was solved.” With Touya’s name at the bottom.

It’s the boar lying in front of your family home.

“Wow,” you breathe.

A butcher steps forward. “How did it get here? It’s got claw marks on the side and some burns.”

“I say we chop it up and cure it for the town,” a woman offers, and a few people murmur in agreement.

You hum, holding the note up and hiding your smile behind it. Your parents look at you curiously, deciding not to say anything.

Touya lands on the top of a giant pine tree and shifts back into his human form, peeking down at the fields below.

A blonde male harpy hesitantly approaches a group of females, waving.

The women give him unimpressed looks, except for one who smiles until her friends pull her away and fly off.

“Dammit!” The blonde pouts.

Touya slinks down the tree, casually approaching the harpy. “Bad day?”

“I'm never finding a mate at this rate. I’ve been rejected three times. Three !”

“Hm, the one with brown hair seemed interested.”

“Yeah, but her friends pulled her away. What’re you doing here anyway?”

Touya swoons. “I’m in love .”

“Again?”

“No, that last dragon chick was crazy. This one is human, and she’s soooo amazing .”

Keigo rolls his eyes. “That’s what you said last time but sure. Can’t wait to see how you fuck up this time.”

Touya shoves his wrist in Keigo's face. “She even gave me a courting gift . Do you have a courting gift? Yeah, didn’t think so.”

“Whatever, man. It's really shiny though, she must really like you. How did you even meet her?”

“She was running from wolves and ended up taking shelter in my cave. She punched me in the throat,” Touya swoons as his tail thumps. “I’m meeting her again tonight.”

Keigo’s wings open. “Good luck, I’m going to try and find that harpy again.”

As Touya watched the blonde harpy fly away, he wondered what else from his hoard was good enough for you. He might have to get something new.

Back home, you’re mixing a cauldron of bright pink liquid, sprinkling in some saffron. “I think that’s everything.”

Meow’  Midnight meows from the sunbeam on the ground.

“Cinnamon? No, this is a love spell, not fire resistance.”

Meow ,’ she meows and goes back to napping.

Adela comes into the workshop with a basket of mint leaves. “Don’t forget the growth potion for the neighbour’s son, he’s been pestering us all week for it.”

“Can’t he just wait until he gets a growth spurt? Most boys get them around the end of summer at his age.”

Adela gives you a tired look and starts separating the mint. The bell inside tinkles, signaling a customer.

“I’ll get it, Midnight, don’t touch the potion,” you warn as she lazily lifts her head to watch you go inside. “Hi, welcome to Magic Corner.” You squint at the man. “You look familiar.”

“It’s me, Touya!”

“Touya? Oh god, you’re…smaller?”

He holds his hands out to his sides. “I shifted to look more human, so you like it?”

“You didn’t have to change for me, Touya. I like how you look in both forms,” you smile. “I like your shirt.”

“Thanks, I stole it from a guy I knocked out.”

“Touya, you can’t do that!”

“No?”

“No! Is he okay? Where is he?”

Touya shrugs. “I didn’t hit him that hard, he’s probably awake by now.”

“Touya…”

“I won’t do it again.”

“Good.”

Adela sticks her head out the workshop door. “What’s taking so long, Y/n? Oh, hello. Is there something we can help you with?”

Touya looks at her then turns to you. “Is that your mother?”

“Uh, yes?”

Touya turns back to Adela. “Me and your daughter are married.”

“Excuse me?”

“He’s kidding,” you laugh awkwardly. “Joking! He bumped his head and came for a cure.”

“Just sell him an ointment and send him on his way. Midnight got into the potion so she’s got pink paw again.”

“Ugh, stupid cat. Alright, I’m coming.”

She smiles and goes back to the workshop.

“Why did you tell her that?” You whisper-shout at Touya.

“It’s true, no? You accepted my courting gift and you gave me one in return.”

You rub your eyes. “Didn’t we already go over this? That’s not how humans do it.”

“Oh right, I’m sorry.” He finally notices the ruby necklace you’re wearing. “That’s one of the jewels I gave you.”

You hold it. “Yeah, I really like this one.”

He smiles, teeth less sharp. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

“I should get back to work, but I’ll see you tonight okay?”

“Yes! Of course.” He leans forward to try and headbutt you but back up. “Bye.”

“Bye.” You wave, giggling when he trips over a pot.

“I meant to do that.”

“I’m sure you did.”

“Okay, bye!” He rushes out, running down the street.

“Mm, bye,” you giggle, playing with the necklace. “He’s so weird.”

Midnight’s yowls shake you from the daze. “I’m coming, dumb cat!”

That evening, you come walking down the path again, seeing Touya picking some flowers in the field. His whole body perked up when he smelled you getting closer. “Hi!” he grins, tail thumping as you sit beside him.

“Hello again, Touya,” you giggle. “Had a fun day?”

“Yup. Got to see you,” he hums.

“That’s sweet but maybe don’t steal people’s clothes. What’re you doing?”

“Picking flowers. These are for you.” He holds out the small bouquet of wildflowers.

“Aw, thank you. They’re pretty.” You bring your nose to sniff them but a bee flies out of one of the flowers and buzzes around you. “Oh dear!”

Touya thinks fast and blows a puff of smoke at the bee, making it drop to the ground.

“Oh no! Is it okay?” you gasp looking at the bee who’s frozen on the ground.

“It’ll be fine.”

“Okay. These flowers are beautiful, Touya. Did you know you could make them even better?”

“What are you doing?”

“Give me a second,” you smile as Touya watches you effortlessly fold the flower stems together and make a crown. “There we go!”

You place the crown on his head and smile as he touches it gently and takes it off. “What is it?” Touya asks, tilting the crown around curiously.

“It’s a flower crown. Pretty right?”

“Not as pretty as you,” he grins.

You snort loudly, doubling over in laughter. “You’re a hopeless romantic.”

“What’s that?”

“It’s someone who basically loves love and continues to believe in love, even if you’ve had a bad experience with it. Like I punched you in the neck and you still won’t leave me alone.”

“Because you’re my mate,” Touya replies. “We were meant to be.”

“Really? And how do you know that?”

“I dunno. It’s just a feeling. My mom always said you’ll know when you meet them.”

You hum. “But I’m not a dragon.”

He tenderly holds your hands. “I don’t care. We can make it work.”

You look into his eyes , seeing the softness in them. “Touya, that’s—what’s that?”

He turns and looks up at the sky in the direction you’re looking and sees a blur of red coming towards the two of you.

“Oh, we should move, he sucks at landing.”

“Landing? He?! What is that?!”

“That’s Keigo. But really we should move.”

Touya tugs you a few feet away and holds you close as Keigo lands where you once were,  almost landing until he falls on his face and skids a few feet. “Fuck!”

You watch in awe as the man stands and shakes out his wings. “Touya, is that a harpy? Don’t they kidnap and eat people?”

“Yeah, that’s Keigo. No, not really, that’s a weird stereotype no one knows the origin of. They’ll devour the fuck outta your livestock though. He really likes chickens. He’s basically my best friend.” He purrs quietly and nuzzles your hair. “You smell nice.”

“Thank you.”

Keigo brushes the flowers from his hair and trousers, looking at you and Touya. “Emergency!” He squawks. “The harpy accepted my advances but now I don’t know what to do!”

“The one that was giggling at your shitty attempt this morning.”

“Fuck off, it was not shitty. And yes, that one. She’s sooooo pretty .”

Touya holds you forward. “This is my mate, isn’t she cute?”

Keigo scans you. “She’s smaller than I thought she’d be.”

“I’m not a giant bird like you. I’m human.”

“There are tall humans, I’ve seen them when they cut down the trees. Stop that by the way.”

“We needed wood but I’ll try to get the lumbermen to slow down a little.”

Touya chuffs. “You’re talking to her too much, dude.”

“Relax, I’m not kidnapping your mate. Tiny human, you’re a woman right?”

“Last I checked, yes,” you snicker.

“What do women like, as a general population?”

“Pretty things, like flowers, shiny things, food, sentimental things with meaning. Oh my god…we’re like birds.” You realise.

Keigo nods. “Pretty things, flowers, okay. Shiny things I can do. Touya, I’m borrowing from your hoard.”

“The hell you are! It’s mine! I found that stuff and grabbed it fair and square!” Touya snarls at him.

“Hey! No fighting!”  you call out, trying to stop them.

“My hoard is mine .”

“Touya, relax . Keigo, was it? I don’t think he’ll like that very much but I can let you borrow some of my jewellery if you’ll return it.”

“Really?! Thank you!” Keigo grins, hugging you.

Touya shoves him off and growls, rubbing his cheek on your head.

“You’re messing up my hair!”

“Mine.”

“Touyaaa, stop ! It took me hours to do these twists.”

Touya huffs and stops his ministrations, resting his head on yours instead.

“I’ll bring Touya the jewellery tomorrow so he can give them to you.”

“Thank you tiny human!”

He flies off before you can give him your real name.

“So…that was something,” you mumble. “He seems nice.”

Touya hums. “Now we’re alone.”

“The sun is set, I’ll have to go soon.”

“Nooooo. Stupid bird took away our time together. I oughta roast him.”

“No, he’s your best friend! You said so yourself.” You lean on him, holding his hands. “I liked the boar you brought. It was good.”

“You ate it?”

“Uh huh! We cured it and I had some for breakfast today. Midnight says for you to bring fish next time. Maybe you can bring me other things.” You rub his arms.

“You like my gifts?” he asks, tail wagging slowly.

“Yeah, they’re pretty and yummy. I’ve worn that shiny necklace you gave me since I got it.”

“Yeah, it looks really good on you.”

“I loved that pig you brought me, but I love goat even more. If you can get that for me, I’ll be really happy,” you purr, scratching under his chin, listening to his rumbles get louder. You giggle softly when his leg starts thumping as his eyes flutter shut.

Tu vas être mon bon dragon, hein Touya? Peut-être que si tu te comportes bien, je serai à toi. Mon grand dragon effrayant avec une gentille petite sorcière. Tu aimerais ça, n'est-ce pas?” (You’re gonna be my good dragon, right Touya? Maybe if you behave well, I’ll be yours. My big scary dragon with a sweet little witch. You’d like that wouldn’t you.)

Touya looked at you blankly before smiling when you moved your hand to scratch behind his ear. He whined softly when the bell rang again. ‘Dammit, she’s leaving.’

“I have to go.”

“Nooo, can’t you stay a little longer?” Touya pleads.

You squeeze his hands again. “My mother will have a fit . I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Can’t I meet them?”

You think. “Maybe. Hm, if you look more human you can convince them you’re a suitor. That might work.”

“Great! I’ll come by in the morning!” Touya grins.

“Okay. No stealing clothes this time. Here, take this sack of coins and buy a shirt.”

“I have a hoard. I’m sure there’s a shirt in there somewhere.”

“Alright, I’ll see you in the morning.” you smile, kiss his cheek and rush off towards the village.

Touya touches his cheek before grinning. “Human lick? She likes me!”

Touya cheers eagerly and jumps around before shifting into his dragon form off to find the biggest goat he’s ever seen.

*

Adela gently shakes you awake, calling your name.

“Hm! Mama,Que se passe-t-il?”(what’s going on?)

“Someone is here for you, a gentleman. He said his name is Touya and you know him?”

“Mrow!” Midnight calls out from the doorway.

“I know he brought food. Relax or you’re going to get fat. Mon dieu, I have to bathe and get ready!”

“Who is he?”

“Someone, don’t worry!” You gather your bath items and rush into your bathroom, shutting the door.

Adela hums, confused. She looks at Midnight. “Do you know what’s going on?”

Midnight licks her paws, opting to stay quiet.

“Fine, keep your secrets.”

After bathing, you haphazardly use magic to fix your hair and sprint down the stairs to the living area.

Andrea meets you at the doorway. “Who is he? His hair is so…wild.”

“That’s Touya. I met him on one of my gatherings,” you tell her. Not technically a lie.

“Hm, if you say so.”

You smooth down your dress and peek around the doorway, seeing Touya poke the hanging cauldron in the fireplace.

“Doesn’t that burn?” Andrea asks, eyebrow raised as the flames barely hurt him.

You chuckle. “He’s a fire mage.”

“Interesting. A man with magic is a good choice for a suitor.”

Touya smiles at the praise from your mother. “It’s nice to meet you. Your daughter is beautiful, like a gem.”

Your face warms at the compliment.

“I want to court her. If you’d let me, that is.”

“She says you are a fire mage, but I’d like to see some proof,” Andrea says, eyeing Touya.

Touya blows out a small blue flame from his mouth.

“Oh, that works. Would you like to join us for breakfast?”

“Yes, please! But I will warn you. I eat a lot…”

“Don’t worry, we make a lot of food.” She smiles and leaves the room.

You approach Touya, admiring his new clothes. “Not bad.”

“You like them?”

“I do. They suit you, you’ve got a nice figure.”

“I know, all the dragon females find me attractive,” he says smugly.

You step back and fold your arms, raising your brow.

“But none of them compare to you! You’re the only one for me. I even kept your courting gift.” He shows you the bracelet.

“Right. Come on.”

You lead Touya into the living room, sitting him down at the couch while you go into the kitchen to help your mother.

“So, Touya, right?” Adela asks, as she walks into the living room with Midnight.

Your cat sniffs his boot and chuffs quietly, turning her nose up at him.

“Midnight seems fussy. Are you hungry?”

‘Mrow.’

“You’re fasting because of the ‘pink paw’ incident? ”

Touya looks at the cat. “How do you understand it?”

Midnight hisses at being called ‘ it ’ and hops into Adela’s arms, purring quietly. “She’s charmed. She understands humans and our family understands her too. It was an accident really. Y/n was practicing a spell and it landed on her instead.”

Meow

“Yes, it hurt a lot. Poor kitty,” Adela coos and scratches her chin.

‘Meow’

“She was a baby. Well not a baby, but she couldn’t tell the differences yet. Little witchling couldn’t tell saffron and violet apart yet.”

‘Meow meow

“It is different than trying to talk to you and you ignoring us. Anyway, we have a guest!” Adela sits next to him. “And he’s so handsome? Where are you from, young man?”

Touya blinks. “The mountains?”

“The mountains? I’ve never heard of any villages up there? At least not on this side of the valley.”

“Uhh, it’s hidden. Secluded. My family stays there but I left to live in the woods alone.”

“It must be scary in the woods with the wolves and that dragon Y/n mentioned.”

Touya smiles tensely. “Uh huh…the dragon. Haven’t encountered him yet and I’m hoping not to.”

“Are you alright, dear? Goodness, you’re turning red,” Adela gasps.

“I’m fine, just a little warm. It’s a side effect of my magic. I just need to eat.”

“Let me go fetch you some water. Breakfast will be ready soon.” She puts Midnight down and rushes to the kitchen.

Touya makes sure she’s gone before shifting back slightly, just to release the tension of the new form. “That’s better.”

Midnight meows in terror and jumps off the couch, calling for you and Andrea.

Both of you look out the kitchen door at Touya sitting down, playing with a cat ornament on the side table. Back in his human form.

“What are you talking about? He’s not a dragon,” Andrea scoffs. “You’ve been eating too much catnip.”

You chuckle nervously. “Y-yeah, probably.” Midnight glares up at you as you look down at her. ‘ Shut up’ you mouth.

Meow!’

You gasp. “Rude! No treats for you tonight. Shoo, go outside and sunbathe or something.”

Midnight turns with her tail down and jumps onto the counter before leaping out the kitchen window to sunbathe near your parent’s tree.

Adela returns with the water, watching him gulp it down in one go and steam billow out of his nose. “Thank you.”

“Touya?” You call, snorting at the way his head snaps in your direction. “Are you ready to eat?”

“Yep! I could eat a whole boar,” he grins, standing up and sitting next to you at the dinner table.

Andrea walks in with dried ham, eggs, fresh bread and pancakes. “Breakfast is served. Adela should be in with the juice. In the meantime, Touya, why don’t you tell us more about yourself. We have to know which lucky man is trying to start courting our baby.”

“Okay, um, I’m twenty-two years old, I have a sister and two brothers.”

“Oh wow, a big family is always lovely.”

“Yes, I hope to have a big family one day. My favorite food is beef and I can’t stand fish.”

“How long have you been a mage?”

He thinks, glancing at you. “Uh, my whole life? My parents are both mages…that makes sense.” He smiles.

“Your canines are so long and sharp,” Andrea marvels.

“Oh, thank you. It runs in my family.”

“How long have you known Y/n?”

“A month now,” you interrupt. “He’s the one that got me all that jewellery.”

“Oh really?! Those are beautiful. Where did you get them?”

“I collected them and I chose the best one’s for Y/n.”

You swoon, hand on your chest. “Aw, Touya.”

He reaches over the table to hold your hand. “I told you I really want you to be mine.”

You squeeze his hand back. “Well, if my moms say yes and you take me out on a date, I’ll think about it.

Adela returns with a pitcher of fresh orange juice. “Hello! I’m back, what did I miss?”

Touya semble être un charmant jeune homme,”(Touya seems like a lovely young man) Andrea tells her with a smile.

“That’s nice, dear. Well as per tradition, after we receive the gift, you have our permission to court her. She’s stubborn as an ox though, so don’t be discouraged if she loses interest.”

You playfully roll your eyes before looking at Touya as he stands. “I’ll be right back,” he smiles, walking out of your house and not long after, knocking on the closed door.

“What did he do?” Andrea asks, opening the door before turning around as you gasp eagerly.

“You remembered!” you squeal, looking at the cooked goat carcass.

“I wanted to wait until later but now is the best time. I hope you like it.”

Andrea grins. “Y/n loves goat! That’s really thoughtful of you Touya.”

“Anything for her,” he smiles.

“Well, that settles it. You may court our daughter, Touya. Make her happy.”

“I will,” Touya grins as you hug him tightly. ‘She’s mine! I can’t believe it!’

“I wish you two the best,” Adela smiles. “You better not reject this one, Y/n.”

“I won’t! I like this one,” you smile, pulling back and holding his hand. “Let’s hope he can keep impressing me.”

“I will! We can go to the meadow and I can show you this new thing I’ve been working on!”

Aht , tu dois nettoyer et tu dois faire des potions aujourd'hui,”(you have to clean up and you have potion making today) Andrea warns, making you pout.

“Sorry Touya, maybe tonight?”

“I’ll wait for you,” he smiles, kissing your hand before waving goodbye and walking off.

You swoon internally as he walks off before getting snapped out of it by Andrea.

“Come on, time for work. Allez allez.

‘Mrow?’

“I’m getting ready for Touya,” you reply.

‘Meow?’

“Yes in my slip. I’m not wearing a dress in the dead of night.”

Midnight stares at you as you spray a little perfume on the inside of your wrists and your neck and put on one of the bracelets he got you.

“Should I wear a different necklace?” you ask her, holding up a gold necklace.

Midnight blinks slowly at you.

“Don’t look at me like that, M! I don’t wanna look bad.”

A tap at the window scares you. You see two blue orbs staring at you.

“Ah!”

Andrea’s voice calls out from downstairs. “Y/n? Tout va bien?(Is everything okay?)

You stand up and unlock the window so Touya can come in. “Hi!”

You cover his mouth. “ Shhh . Tout va bien.  J'ai cru voir quelque chose.”(everything is fine. I thought I saw something )

You wave your hand and your lock clicks.

“Touya! What’re you doing here?” You hiss.

“I wanted to see you,” he smiles. “You look beautiful.”

“I’m in my pajamas, Touya.”

“So?”

You sit back so he can get up, stretching his back and arms. “Spent all day in my human form and it’s bad for my back. Why didn’t you tell your parents I’m a dragon?”

“What?! That’s not something you just lead with. I’ll tell them when we’ve officially courted.”

“Mated, you mean.”

“Is that not the same thing?”

“Mated is when we mate.”

“…as in, sex?”

“Yeah. And you give me a mating bite on my neck.”

“My teeth aren’t sharp enough to do that.”

He leans into your space, blowing a puff of smoke at you. “I’ll just give you one.”

You wave the smoke out of your face and ignore the heat rushing to your cheeks as Touya smirks at you.

‘Mrow!’

“Shut up, M! Shoo, go outside,” you huff as she jumps onto the windowsill and leaps outside. You draw your curtains and squeal as Touya’s clawed hands wrap around your waist. Giggling softly, you look up at Touya over your shoulder as he rests his head on your shoulder inhaling deeply.

“You smell amazing,” he groans, resting his nose on the juncture of your shoulder. His hand moves to the back of your neck, pushing your torso down onto the desk.

“Touya, what’re you doing?!”

“You weren’t presenting for me,” he whines softly, pressing his crotch against your ass.

“I’m not a dragon, Touya…” you sigh, pushing off the desk. “Take it slow . Bending me over like that is not sexy.”

You turn, leaning on the table. “ Relax . And be quiet , my mothers will have fits if they saw you up here.”

“I’ll stay quiet,” he grins. “I don’t know if you can though~”

“You have a lot of confidence in yourself.”

“I’m almost two hundred years old. I have a lot of experience, lemme show you.” He kisses you, caging your body between him and the table.

Your eyes open and you gently push him. “I’m sorry, two hundred ?”

Almost.

“Are you serious?!” you hiss. “What the fuck!”

“Are you mad at me?”

You wipe your face and groan softly. “No, I’m not mad. I’m just surprised, you’re so old .”

“Hey! I’m not old.”

“This complicates things. What if I die and you’re still here?”

“Then I’ll be sad and if you want me to, I’ll be right behind you.”

“Touya, that’s sweet and stupid. You should live your life, even if I’m gone. Although…” you trail off, thinking. “There might be a solution but I’ll have to talk to my mothers.”

He noses at your cheek again. “Can’t we do it later?”

“Someone’s clingy,” you tease.

“You smell so good. Want you. Wanna be with you.” he mumbles.

“Well we can’t do anything here.”

He chuffs at you. “Let’s go out.”

“Where?”

“I know a place. Come on.” He stands, holding his hand out for you.

“Hm, okay.” You hold his hand, letting him pull you to the window. “Wait, what’re we doing?”

“Flying, duh.” He scoops you up princess style and hops on the windowsill.

“What do you mean flying?!”

“Hold on tight, gem,” he grins before pushing off and flying high up into the night sky.

You hide your face in his chest, locking your hands around his neck as he flies through the clouds. “This is horrible!”

“Just breathe, gem, It’s fun! Open your eyes and look. The clouds are fluffy and the sky is beautiful.”

You peek your eyes open before looking around and seeing the starry night sky above you as the moonlight illuminates Touya’s profile. “Wow…”

“Isn’t it pretty?”

“Yeah, you’re beautiful, Touya,” you hum, as his cheeks grow pink.

“We’re almost there, I’m gonna dive down…”

“What? Touya, don’t you d—AHH!”

Touya dives down regardless before pulling up about fifty feet from the ground landing on his feet in the grass.

Once he sets you down and your legs stop wobbling, you smack his shoulder repeatedly. “You dive down, practically hurtling towards the earth, with me in your arms no less , and you almost fucking killed me! Imbecile .”

“What? It’s fun! You’ll get used to it.”

“Touya, I’m never doing that again. Don’t do it again.”

“But then how would I take you back home?”

“Dammit! Okay, after that, but then that’s it.”

“What about to my cave?”

“I’ll walk.”

Touya looks at you like Midnight would when she wants treats. His ears droop slightly.

“D-Don’t look at me like that.”

“Please?”

“Ugh, whatever,” you groan. You look around and see a big lake reflecting the moon. “Where are we?”

“It’s a lake Keigo and I found a while ago. We’re swimming.” He pulls his shirt off.

You stare at Touya’s back, looking at the large white and blue wings. “But I don’t have swimwear,” you protest.

“Then just swim naked, gem.”

“What?!”

He undoes his belt and tugs his trousers down and stretches. “It feels better anyway.”

“I dunno,” you mumble.

“You trust me right?”

You look at Touya wearily before tugging at your slip straps, pulling it down, leaving you in your underwear.

“Wow, you’re beautiful, gem,” he mumbles in awe.

“I’m freezing ,” you grumble, covering your chest with your arms.

“Get in the water, with me in here it’ll get warmer, trust me.”

You follow him into the cold water, shivering violently. “ mon dieu il fait si froid .”( my god it’s so cold)

“Give it a minute,” Touya chuckles before sighing and relishing in the cold feeling.

“Oh, it’s warmer. You didn’t pee, did you?”

“No! I just made my temperature go up to warm up the water.”

“Oh. well it’s nice, the water's warm and relaxing,” you hum, splashing some on your arms.

Touya splashes some on his face and hair and you move away. “Don’t get my hair wet!”

“Why?”

“I am not spending four hours to fix it.” You tuck your twists into the bun. “Just don’t.”

He pouts, thinking. “Okay. Can I at least touch you?”

“Um, sure?”

He wades closer and gently butts his head against yours, purring loudly.

You playfully roll your eyes and headbutt him in response. You smile up at him as his tail starts making ripples in the water behind him. “Are you okay?” you snicker.

‘I’m in love~’ he thinks. “Yeah, I’m just happy,” he swoons, rubbing his face on yours.

“Oh,” you giggle as you swim around him. “This is nice though, it’s pretty.” You look up at the night sky. Touya stands behind you, pointing at a cluster of stars.

“I know all the constellations.”

“Do you now?”

“Mhm, my mom showed me when I was a whelp.”

He starts listing off some, moving his hand around. You press your back to his front, sighing at the warmth. Hopefully he gets the hint.

He does.

His hands move to your front and squeeze your chest, rolling your nipples. “You’re so small and cute ,” he rumbles behind you.

“I’m not small ,” you pout, pressing your rear against his crotch. “You’re just big .”

“Mm,” he hums, licking a hot stripe up the side of your neck and face. “I like it like this.”

Reaching behind you, you feel his penis and jerk your hand away at the weird feeling. “Is that your dick? Why is it bumpy ?”

Touya looks down at the water. “Oh right I should’ve mentioned that…let’s go to the bank.”

Both of you wade over to the edge and you sit on the grass, watching Touya stand up fully to show you his dick. It’s fairly normal except for the blunt ridges along the bottom and crown and the little saggy skin at the base. “They’re not painful or anything, it’ll feel really good I promise.”

You make an unsure face but he kisses you, taking your worries away. Before you realise, his head is between your legs and wiggling his long tongue inside your pussy. Touya watches you squirm on the grass, arms locked around your thighs to keep them open as he eats you out with vigour. He moves his head, slurping your juices loudly. “Tastes so good, gem,” he purrs, kissing your inner thigh.

You watch him crawl over you through hazy eyes, wrapping your arms around his warm, broad shoulders.

“I can’t wait…” he whines, swiping his cock through the mess between your legs.

“Go slow, okay?”

He nods enthusiastically, canting his hips back slightly to press the ridged tip inside you. “So warm .”

“Fuck, Touya ,” you gasp when more slides in, those ridges rubbing all the right spots inside you. He bottoms out quickly, rumbling loudly into your neck. “Open your legs more, gem.”

You obey, opening them until your knees touch the grass. Your hands move up his back to the scaly base of his wings, accidentally nudging them. Touya gasps loudly and his whole body shivers.

“What was that ?” You ask.

“Those are sensitive, ” he whines and flexes his shoulders a little.

“Oh? So it feels good when I do this ?” You gently pinch the delicate skin there. Touya croons loudly, humping your body faster.

Your moaning whimpers broke and cracked as his jerking hips knocked the wind from you. Suddenly he pulls out of you, grabbing your arm. “Turn over.”

You turn around but he roughly pushes you down, pulling your hips up. He drapes his warm body over your back, squeezing your hip.

“Fuck so soft. I’ll give you so many pups,” he murmurs, kissing your back.

“Pups?”

“Little ones? Babies? Want you to have my hatchlings.”

You barely have time to process before he shoves his length back inside you. “Fuck Touya!”

“Shh, you can take it, right? You’re so amazing, gem.”

You rock your hips slightly and moan at the sensation in your abdomen. “S-so deep , Touya. Don’t stop, fuck,” you gasp.

“So good for me gem. My perfect little mate,” he growls into the back of your neck, kissing at its juncture. Your head moves to the side, unknowingly setting Touya off. He growls louder and gently latches his teeth into the spot your neck and shoulder meets, speeding up his thrusts.

His hand reaches around to rub your clit, teeth keeping you from moving too far. The angle of his thrusts change deeper and down , pushing the ridges on the underside of his dick right into your g-spot.

oh mon dieu, Touya!  juste là!,”(oh my god, Touya! Right there!) you squeal, feet kicking weakly behind you. “ There !”

Touya’s teeth sink into your neck as he holds you down, hitting that spot that sends fire up your spine. “Cum for me gem, I’m right behind you,” he groans when he withdraws his teeth. “Lemme knot you, gem. Wan you to, fuck, have my eggs.”

“Whatever you want,” you agree, too dazed to care. “I’m—” you choke on a moan, body tensing and forcing slick out of your spasming cunt. Touyas pupils blow wide at the feeling of your juices leaking down his dick. “Good gem, fuck you feel otherwordly.”

He groans deep in his chest, curling over you. Warm cum spits out of his dick into you, coating your insides white. You feel something new press against your soaked hole and pop in. Your torso jolts upwards into Touya's warm chest at the feeling, giving him the chance to rub his hands over your stomach.

“T-touya, what is that?!”

“It’s my knot. Need it so you’ll have my pups.” He purrs quietly.

“But, I’m not ready for a baby yet…” you whine, trying to move away but his knot tugs at your pussy. “Why can’t I move?”

“Shh, it has to go down.” He rolls over so you’re laying on your sides.

“T-touya, I’m not ready! I’m serious.” You touch your stomach and mutter something. Touya looks over your shoulder and sees your hand glow pink for a bit then it dies down.

“What did you do?”

“So I don’t get pregnant. Dieu, I was so dumb! I should’ve been more careful.”

“You don’t want to have pups with me?”

“Not yet. ” You scratch under his chin. “We’re not even married.”

He licks the slightly bleeding mark on your shoulder. “We’re mated though.”

“What? You bit me?!”

“Yeah. We’re mated. You're mine and I’m yours. Didn’t you notice? You even marked me.”

You turn slightly to look at him. “What are you talking about?”

“You pissed on me. Marking.”

“…Touya…it’s not pee. It’s cum.”

Ohhhh .” He hums, rubbing your stomach again.

“Touyaa, stop,” you whine as his hands trail along your stomach up to your chest.

“Why? You don’t wanna go again?”

You feel your face heat up as you look down into the grass. “Maybe one more time.”

The next morning the soft purring from Touya’s chest and the sunlight peeking from the cave entrance wakes you up. You yawn softly and hum as Touya hides his face in the back of your neck. “Mmm, morning Touya,” you hum before realising the sun is up. “Wait, morning ?! Holy shit! I’ve got to get back before my moms’ wake up!”

You scramble to get your clothes back on, wincing at some lingering soreness in your lower half and shoulders.

“Come back to the nest, gem,” Touya whines, rolling onto his back to watch you.

“I’m so dead!” Your complain as you pull your slip on.

Touya chuffs sadly as you rush out of the cave but perks up when you come back and kneel next to him. “If I’m still alive tonight, I’ll come see you I promise.”

You kiss his forehead and rush through the forest towards your village. Climbing the tree next to your window, you manage to slip inside without any of the early risers seeing you.

Midnight looks up from your bed. ‘ Mrow meow?’

“Out,” You reply, feeling a little giddy as you climb into bed and sigh dreamily.

‘Meow.’

“Fine.”

‘Meow mrow.’

You touch your neck and feel the bumpy scars you tried to heal. “Dammit. Are they that obvious?”

‘Meow meow meow~’

“No need to get sassy with me M. Are Mama and Ma awake?”

“Yes, we are.” Adela’s voice grumbles as she appears from the corner of your room. “What the hell were you doing last night?! Sneaking out and not coming back home until early morning? Midnight what did you mean by she had fun l—no. Shower, get dressed and meet us downstairs, young lady,” Adela grumbles before walking out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

“Oh fuck ,” you mumble.

After your bath, you reluctantly go downstairs to the dining room where Adela and Andrea are waiting for you.

“So where did you go?” Andrea asks.

“Out…”

Where ?”

You rub your neck. “I just wanted to go to the field to see the stars.”

Adela tilts your head. “What are these things?”

“Mosquito bites,” you say, hoping they buy it.

Adela touches the bumps. “These don’t look like mosquito bites. Andrea, come see.”

Andrea examines them, humming thoughtfully. “Are these teeth marks? What the fuck were you doing last night?”

“Ma, it’s not a big deal.”

Dis-nous la vérité,”(Tell us the truth )

You sigh in defeat. “I went to see Touya.”

“In the middle of the night? That doesn’t explain the teeth marks,” Adela says.

“He bit me?” you try to explain.

They look at you incredulously.

Bon sang qu'est-ce que ça signifie?!”(What the hell does that mean?!) Andrea shouts.

Meow ,” Midnight pipes up from the dining table. “ Mrow meow meow .”

“A dragon ? No he’s not the dragon…Y/n, is he a dragon?”

You take a step back. “I have chores to do today, right Mama?”

Adela looks at you, eyes both stern and worried. “Y/n, don’t lie. Is he the dragon?

“Yes? But wait, here me out! He’s great, I really like him.”

“You let me agree to let you court a dragon?! Tu as perdu la tête, mon enfant?! (Have you fucking lost your mind child?!)

“I think he’s nice,” you pout.

“He did bring her that goat…and the wild boar. Besides Adela, he’s sweet and he really cares about Y/n. He’s not the first person in our family that wasn’t approved by the other’s parents. Remember my father?”

“That was different! Adela, he’s a dangerous creature. Look at these bite marks, he probably attacked our daughter,” Andrea huffs.

“Yeah… attacked ,” you mutter.

“Don’t get smart with me young lady! Does anything hurt? Are you injured?”

“Yes and no, but I’m okay.”

‘Meow mrow~’ Midnight calls out.

“M, stop talking…” you mumble.

“I’m going into town to deliver orders. Adela, please think about this and don’t do anything ridiculous.”

“I won’t . Y/n, we’re talking about this.”

Andrea kisses both your cheeks and sets off out the door.

Adela nudges you. “You should bring him for brunch before she comes back.”

“Isn’t ma already pissed at me? I dunno if bringing Touya here is a good idea…” you mumble.

“Just go find him.”

Touya’s ears prick up when he catches your scent on the breeze. He looks up from the meat he’s grilling in front of his cave and squints at the path. “Y/n?” he calls out, rushing down to meet you halfway.

“Hi Touya,” you smile before giggling as he picks you up in a bear hug, twirling you around before planting kisses all over your face and headbutting you softly.

“You’re back so soon.”

“I have great news! My mom wants you for brunch. I told them you’re a dragon and they’re fine with it.”

“Are you sure?”

“Well, Mama’s fine with it. Ma…not so much but she’ll come around!”

“Is there any food your Ma likes?”

“Ma likes duck. Smoked duck specifically.”

“Hmm, I can do that. I’ll be there soon.” He kisses your face again.

You giggle as he noses at the mark he left on your neck before giving it a chaste kiss. “Oh wait, I have something for you!”

He disappears back inside his cave and throws some of this hoard around a bit before coming back and holding a silver ring with three sapphires on it. “This is for you.”

You gasp and look at the ring he slipped on your finger. “Touya, this is beautiful! Wait, did you steal this?”

“No, I found it! Honest!”

“Does this mean…”

“Yes, I want you to be mine. Both in dragon and human tradition.”

You pull Touya into a hug and smile wide. “Yes, I’ll marry you!”

Touya kisses you softly before pressing his forehead against yours. “Thank you, gem. I love you. I’ll see you at brunch,” he murmurs.

“I love you too,” you sigh. “See you soon.”

You kiss his cheek and snicker as he noses at his mark. “Touya, I’ve gotta get home!”

“I know. So go,” he teases.

“You’ve gotta let go of me first.” You wriggle out of his hold.

“Nooo, stay here,” he whines.

“You’ve gotta go get the ducks for Ma, Touya…”

“Don’t remind me.”

“Go,” you playfully order.

You back away from him and make your way down the path back to the village.

*

“Did you go and do that thing I asked you to?” Adela whispers to you as Andrea walks out of the kitchen.

You nod and set the plates down. “He should be here soon with a suprise.”

“I hope it’s something that wins over your mother,” Adela sighs.

As the food is served, there’s a knock on the door. Midnight meows loudly and paws at the door.

“He’s here!” You fix your dress and hair.

“Who?” Andrea asks, sitting down.

“A special guest, dear,” Adela smiles.

“Oh goddess…”

You open the door, grinning at Touya. “You look nice.”

He flicks the hanging gold chain from his horns. “It’s a special occasion. Also, I come bearing gifts!” He holds up a sack.

“Wait, you brought stuff besides the ducks?”

“Yup!”

“Touya, you didn’t have to.”

“I wanted to make a good impression when your dams see me again.”

“Dams?”

“That's what we call the one who laid your egg.”

“Touya, humans don't lay eggs,” you snicker.

“We’ll see. Which one laid you?”

“Um, I don't know, I'm adopted. At least that’s what they told me.”

“What does that mean?”

“My biological parents gave me away and my mothers took me in instead as a baby.”

“Ooh, alright.” Touya drops the sack near the table and opens it, pulling out two smoked ducks.

Adela steps out from the kitchen and smiles when she sees Touya. ‘Wow, that's a look.’

“Look, I brought gifts for you.” he pushes the ducks into her hands.

“Oh! These look delicious, Touya. Andrea would love these.”

Touya's tail wags, making you giggle.

Andrea peeks out. “Is that the dragon? Why is he in our home?”

“He brought us smoked duck!” Adela chirps.

“Smoked it myself,” Touya says proudly, smoke billowing out of his nose.

Andrea folds her arms. “I’m not impressed. He’s still a dangerous creature, Y/n.”

“Dangerous?! I’ve never hurt anyone in my life!”

You look away from him as you remember the clothes he ‘owned’ when he met your mothers two days ago. ‘Right…’ you think to yourself.

He grabs your hand and shows them the ring. “See! We’re married now cause she accepted me as her mate.”

“We’re not married,” you quickly interject, yanking your hand back. “He proposed this morning and I said yes. Stop manhandling me, I’m not sturdy like you.”

“I thought you liked it last—”

“We should eat!” You shout. “Touya got you smoked duck, Ma, isn’t that nice?”

Mrow~’ Midnight meows teasingly then yowls when you kick her away.

“Shut up.”

Andrea sighs. “Fine, join us for breakfast then. The damage is already done.”

“Congratulations you two,” Adela grins. “Ooh, we’re gonna have a cute little wedding, I can’t wait.”

“I wish he asked us before all this happened but I’m happy for you, dear.”

Touya nuzzles his chin on your head. “Now you just have to meet my family . My mom will love you.”

“Your mom? Oh right, are there rules or some sort of tradition for meeting your mate’s parents?”

“Not really, just bring gold or something shiny. Mom loves shiny stuff.” His stomach rumbles. “But first, I’m hungry.”

You lead him into the kitchen.

“Oh, of course! In addition to the duck, I’ve made sausage, eggs, bacon, and fresh bread,” Adela smiles.

“Mama, as much as I love your weekly brunches, please don’t over do it all the time.”

“I love cooking for you two so don’t worry. Besides, now that Touya’s here, that dragon sized hunger needs to be accommodated.”

“Thank you, ma’am.”

*

“I’m not doing this.”

Touya shakes his head. “It’s the quickest way there unless you wanna walk for a month.”

You groan. “This is so dumb, let’s get this over with.”

“Don’t be so fussy, gem. Flying’s fun.”

“He says as he made me hurtle towards the earth the first time I flew with him.”

“I was in my hybrid form. I promise I’ll be careful.”

“Wait, you’re not flying in your normal form?”

“Why do you think I asked you to meet me in winter clothes? You might wanna step back though.”

You step back and hide your face as a dust cloud affects your vision before you hear a loud flap. “Touya? Where’d you go?” you call out feeling around for him only to come in contact with something scaly. “Is this you?”

A loud snort blows toward you and you finally look up and see a giant black and white dragon with a sky blue underbelly. The dragon rumbles and lowers its head to nuzzle your stomach. “Holy shit, you’re giant!”

He chuffs quietly and nudges you again.

“I hope you know what you’re doing,” you mutter and secure your backpack right before climbing up his neck to sit behind his black horns. “You’re so scaly. But your horns are pretty .” Touya purrs softly at the praise before flapping his wings.

You squeak in fear and grip onto his horns as he starts to take off. “Woah!”

The wind hits your face, forcing your eyes shut until he’s cruising above the fluffy white clouds.

“Wow,” you breathe. “This is gorgeous.”

Touya rumbles in agreement.

You enjoy the breeze, looking down at the tiny landscape below. ‘Everything's so small. Really puts it in perspective…’

A couple hours later, you start to get tired and lay your head against the back of Touya's neck. “So warm,” you mumble before drifting off, falling asleep for the rest of the flight.

Touya lands in a clearing amongst the rocks, trying not to wake you. Rumbling softly he hopes to wake you up before he has to shift.

You do, sitting up and yawning. “Why’d we stop?”

The place is barren except for a huge wooden gate on the side of the mountains.

“Touya…where are we?”

Touya shifts back into his hybrid form, stretching his shoulders and back. “This is where I grew up. it’s just behind this gate.”

He knocks in a specific sequence, and pokes the red jewel in the middle. The door clicks loudly and starts to open, wind rushing past you.

You hide behind Touya, not knowing what to expect when they fully open. “Is it dangerous?”

“No, this part of the mountain belongs to my family. You’re my guest, so you'll be safe.”

“They won’t eat me right?”

“No, I promise. C’mon, they’re waiting for us,” he smiles, reaching out for your hand.

You look back at him before taking his hand and interlocking your fingers. “Alright, let's go.”

Following him inside you grip his hand nervously. The people stare at you, whispering amongst themselves.

“Everyone’s looking at me,” you whisper.

“Cause you’re small . They probably think you’re a whelp or something.”

“Are you sure?

“No one is going to eat you, gem.”

“If you say so…”

Walking beside Touya, you admire the big stone and wood houses, wondering if you’d have to move here after you and touya get married.

You notice a skinny grey and white dragon sleeping on top of one of the houses, smoke billowing out of his nose. “Wow.”

Touya looks over and gasps. “That’s my friend! Come say hi.” He eagerly tugs you towards the house. “Tenko! Wake up!”

The dragon doesn’t budge.

Touya picks up a pebble and launches it at the dragon, nailing it in the forehead.

“Touya, maybe we shouldn’t…” you start before freezing when the pebble hits the dragon between his eyes. “Oh no.”

The dragon’s eyes shoot open and blood red eyes dart over to you and Touya.

“Tenko!” Touya cheers. “Hi!”

It rolls its eyes and stretches its neck, shifting into a scrawny pale man with pale blue hair. “You’re back…yay,” he yawns. “Who’s the whelp?”

“She’s not a whelp, she’s my mate, dumbass.”

“Why’s your mate so small?”

“She’s a human.” He nudges you. “Do human things and show him.”

“What the fuck is human things?”

“I dunno, you’re a human so you should know.”

You facepalm and swear under your breath in french.

“That’s a human thing!” he grins.

“What?”

“The face slap thing, humans do it and we kind of picked it up.”

“Huh…weird. I didn’t know other creatures copied us like that.”

He nods.

“I can also do this,” you add, whispering into your hand and producing a small ball of light making Touya grin proudly and Tenko stare at you in shock and awe.

“Woah!”

“I know right. My mate’s so amazing,” Touya hums, nuzzling your hair.

“She’s alright i guess,” Tenko shrugs and goes back to napping.

Touya holds your hand. “Let’s go, my family home isn’t far from here.”

His family home is huge . Near the outskirts of town with a lush garden behind it.

Touya doesn’t even knock, he just pulls you inside the house.

“Touya!”

“What? it’s my old house, I can do this. MA! ” he shouts, stepping into the living room. An elderly white haired woman is sitting on the couch sewing a pair of trousers. “Ma!”

She gasps. “Oh my goodness! Touya, my little ember, how are you! It’s been so long! Give me a hug.”

Touya crouches down to hug her, purring loudly and rubbing his cheeks on hers. “How are you, ma?”

“I’m fine, summer is hard on me but I should be alright,” she smiles. “Who’s your companion?”

Touya gestures for you to come closer. “Ma, this is my mate, Y/n. She’s a human.”

The woman’s eyes light up. “Wow, your mate. She's so beautiful.” she holds her hands out for you to take. They’re freezing cold. “Hi dear, I'm Rei. You’re gorgeous.”

“T-thank you, ma’am. I brought you this,” you smile, reaching into your bag and taking out a shiny necklace and handing it to her.

“Thank you dear, but you didn’t have to get me anything. But it’s very pretty.”

“But Touya said you like shiny things.”

“She does!”

“I appreciate it but you didn't need to go through the trouble,” Rei smiles, taking the necklace and staring at it. “It is beautiful though.”

Touya takes it and stands behind the couch, helping her put it on.

“Thank you, Touya. And thank you, Y/n. Are you two hungry? Fuyumi and Enji went to get dinner and should be back soon.”

“What’s for dinner?” you ask.

“Hopefully, mountain ram. If not probably wild boar.”

“Ooh, sounds delicious.”

Rei sets her work aside and stands up. “I’ll set up Touyas old room for both of you. I’m so excited you’re here.”

You expected her to be shorter considering how small she looked in the chair but you have to stretch your neck, thankfully not as much as with Touya.

She pinches your cheek. “So cute.”

“Thank you,” you smile.

“I’ll start setting up the room.”

Rei smiles at you and Touya before walking away towards the staircase.

“She’s so nice, why didn’t you turn out like this?”

Touya makes an offended noise. “I’m nice .”

You fold your arms. “You are not nice . You’re brash, loud, and vulgar—“

“Lies and slander!”

“But I love it and you ,” you finish.

“Oh. I love you too.” He gently headbutts your forehead and kisses your nose.

“Hi Touya,” a voice calls out.

Both of you jump apart at the quiet voice from the entryway. A young boy with perfectly split white and red hair stands there. “You’re home.”

“God, Shouto! Don’t be creepy,” Touya scolds.

“Sorry. Who’s that?” he asks, looking at you with grey and blue eyes.

“My mate, don’t be weird towards her. That’s my youngest brother, Shouto.”

“Hello,” you smile.

“Nice to meet you. Are you a nymph?”

“Nope. But I can do magic like them. See.” You whisper into your hand and smile when sparks pop as you show your palms.

“Oohh,” he mumbles, reaching out to touch the sparks. “That’s amazing.”

“Thank you,” you grin.

“That’s nice, you met my mate, now shoo,” Touya huffs, glaring at his little brother.

“Asshole,” Shouto mumbles and disappears into the kitchen.

“Why were you so mean to him?”

“Cause he’s my brother, duh,” Touya says casually.

“But he’s you’re family. You should be nice to him.”

“Ew.”

“Is that my big bro I hear?!” a voice calls out from the entryway.

“Oh god. Here comes pain in the ass number one.”

“Wait how many siblings do you have?”

“Three. Two pains in my ass and Fuyumi. It’s normal for dragons to have lots of pups.”

“That’s sweet. Wait, does that mean you want a bunch of kids?”

“Yes.”

“Oh God…”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be here with you,” Touya hums and noses at your neck before rolling his eyes when Natsuo walks into the room.

“You have a whelp?”

Touya goes through the introduction again to Natsuo, keeping you away from him.

The man of the house eventually arrives, filling the house with his presence.

‘Woah, his dad is giant…’

He drops the dead ram in the kitchen for Natsuo and Shouto to clean and prepare, washing his hands after.

“Enji, did you see Touya’s mate?” Rei asks, leading him to the living room where you’re sitting.

Enji looks around. “Where are they?”

“Dad, she’s here.” Touya gestures to you.

Enji scrutinises you with his eyes. “You’re a very small dragon, aren’t you?”

“I’m not a dragon sir…”

“She’s human, isn’t that cute?” Rei chirps. “And she can do magic .”

“Ah,I see. Nice to meet you—?”

“Y/n L/n.”

“Y/n. I’m glad to see Touya found someone but I wish he had told us before he mated first.”

“It’s like a two day round-trip from where I live to here. I’m sorry, yeesh,” Touya scoffs. “But she makes me happy and we’ll have a human ceremony too.”

Oooohhh ,” the rest of the kids chorus.

“Any special plans?”

You look at Touya. “I don’t think so. It’ll be small and quick then we have to find somewhere to live.”

“I thought you liked the cave?”

“Touya, I’m not living in a cave.”

He tilts his head in confusion. “Why not?”

“We can’t have a family in there, Touya, we’re getting a house.”

“Okay. Anything for you, gem.”

*

After dinner, Touya insists on taking you to the family hot spring a little down the mountain.

“You’re gonna love it, gem.”

“What’s so special about some hot water?”

“It feels really nice and it has a little magic .”

“Oh, It sounds nice.”

You trek the rocky terrain, nearly tripping a few times but touya goes ahead like nothing is wrong. Only the dim light of the moon lighting the way.

This rules out living in the mountains.

“How much longer, my feet hurt. It’s dark and I’m scared,” you whine and jog to catch up to him.

He puts his arm around you. “Almost there, you’ll see the light. And don’t be scared. With me here, you’ll be safe.”

“If you say so.” A twig snaps in some bushes and you practically jump in his arms. “What was that?!”

“Easy, gem. It was probably some stupid bunny or something.”

You cling to Touya’s side as you keep walking. Another twig snaps and you start to get nervous. “I think something is following us, Touya.”

“Relax babe, it’s probably nothing.”

You hear a bush rustle in the distance and you squeeze his bicep and whimper. “Touya…”

“Will it make you feel better if I check?”

“Yes. Wait, no don’t leave me here. Let’s just get there, I think I see the light,” you mumble pointing at the pale blue light in the distance.

Not long after you take a couple steps a blonde figure drops down from a tree in front of you making you scream in terror.

“Hi Himiko,” Touya chuckles. “Y/n, babe stop screaming.”

You open your eyes, seeing the blonde dragon shifter in front of you. Her sharp teeth the first thing you notice as she smiles.

“Who the hell is this?” you shout, still scared.

“It’s Himiko, my other friend.”

“Friend? Why is she chasing us?”

“My bad,” Himiko giggles. “I heard Touya was in town so I thought I’d say hi. Who’re you?”

“I’m his mate, I think, right?” you look to Touya for help.

“What do you mean you think? I love you and you’re mine. We mated and you love me, right?”

“I don’t know how this stuff works.”

“Gem, you didn’t answer my question…”

“Yes, I love you too,” you snicker, patting his hair and smiling when he leans into the touch.

Himiko gets uncomfortably close, sniffing you. “You’re a human?! Oooohhhh. Interesting.”

You lean away before trying to hide behind Touya. “Y-yeah, but I’ll fight you if you try to hurt me!”

She pats your head. “You’re too small to actually hurt me,” she laughs. “Not like I’ll try anyway, we’re friends now!”

“Mhm, Touya, maybe we should keep going before it gets late.” you pull him down the path.

“Bye Toga,” he calls to the girl. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Byeeeee!”

You finally make it to the hot springs and you gasp as you see the crystal blue slightly bubbling water and the flowers surrounding the small pool. Steam rising out of it into the cool night air.

“Wow!” you gasp and squat to touch the warm water. “It’s so pretty. Healing magic.”

“I knew you’d like it,” Touya says proudly and sheds his jacket and trousers. “It’s just like our lake date.”

“I suppose it is. Are you sure it’s safe to be naked out here?” You ask worriedly, looking at the nature around.

“Most dragons are sleeping or in their homes by now. That or they don’t care. Besides, if anything tries to hurt you, I’ll destroy them before they get the chance,” he hums as he hugs you from behind and nuzzles your scalp.

You reluctantly pull the straps of your dress down and kick it to the side. “I’ll stay in my underwear just in case.”

“In case of what, gem?”

“Something trying to attack us so I'm not completely naked.” You dip your toe in the water.

Touya slips into the water and splashes around with a childlike grin. “C’mon gem, the water’s fine!”

“Okay, I’m coming,” you giggle and wade into the water, humming at the feeling of the warmth relaxing your muscles. “This is nice.”

“I told you, baby,” Touya hums, swimming towards you and nuzzling you. “Just sit back and enjoy it.”

You sit on the underwater ledge near the edges and lean back, rubbing your shoulders.

“Need help there gem?” Touya asks.

“There’s this spot between my shoulder’s that I can’t reach. It kinda hurts there,” you whine.

“C’mere. Tell me when I get to the right spot,” Touya instructs, rubbing his thumbs into your muscles.

“A little lower…yeah, right there .”

You shudder as his clawed hands drag along your spine.

“Feels good, love?” he asks quietly, resting his chin and your shoulder and purring softly.

“Mhm, very good. Thank you, Touya.”

You close your eyes and melt into his touch as Touya’s hands wander along your back as he kisses your neck. You gasp softly as one of his hands squeeze your chest, his claws trailing along the flesh.

“You’re so soft, gem. So beautiful,” he rumbles as he kisses your jaw.

“Touya…” you shudder as you tilt your head back, giving him more room. “We’re outside.”

Grinning at the noise he licks along the curve of your shoulder and kisses the mark he left on you. “I know. We were outside the last time we did this and you loved it,” he chuckles as his other hand moves from your back towards your waist. “We’ll be quick, I  promise.”

The next morning Touya carries your sleeping body covered with his jacket back up the path, pleased with himself. Kissing your forehead, Touya smiles as you hum softly and nestle closer. “Mmm, Touya,” you mumble.

“We’re almost there.”

Touya slowly heats himself up so you stay warm as he walks down the path towards his home. He stops when he notices Shouto on the front porch, sitting and reading a book, enjoying the crisp morning air.

Staring at his older brother, Shouto stops in the middle of turning his page as he picks up yours and Touya’s mixed scents. As Shouto’s getting ready to open his mouth, Touya rolls his eyes and goes into the house. “Shut up, pipsqueak.”

“I was just going to say good morning, Touya,” Shouto calls back.

Your mini wedding is held in late autumn when the leaves turn brown. In the field Touya showed you the fireflies in, your families arranged a little private wedding, set up with an altar decorated with blue and white flowers.

Adela has a pretty white silk and lace dress made for you and twists your hair in an updo .

“You’re so beautiful,” she sniffles. “I can’t believe this is happening so soon.”

“I know, mom. I’m just a bit nervous…”

“I was nervous when I married your mother but I knew I made the right choice. Twenty-five years later, I’m happy with the love of my life and I’m about to watch my precious baby girl get married,” Adela sniffles.

Rei knocks on your bedroom door and peeks in. “Hello, I hope I’m not interrupting anything important.”

“No, you can come in,” you tell her.

She shuts the door, taking in your appearance. “You look lovely.”

“Thank you. I just hope that everything goes well.”

“It will, I promise. Take a deep breath dear. You’re not the only one who’s panicking today,” Rei giggles. “I just came to give you something.” she holds out a small gold tiara . “I wore this on my wedding day and I hoped one of my boys would bring someone to wear it one day, i’m happy it’s you.”

“Rei, it’s beautiful. Are you sure?”

“There’s no one else I know who deserves it.”

“Thank you so much, I don't know what to say.”

Rei places the tiara on your head, slightly adjusting it when necessary. “You don’t need to, my dear. Just do your best.”

You nod and give her a hug while trying not to cry.

“Don’t cry, dear, it’s a special day. We should get going before Touya throws up out of nervousness.”

You laugh at the thought and nod.

Outside, Touya is sweating through his shirt. This would be normal for him but today he’s close to combusting.

“Relax, Touya. Everything’s gonna be fine,” Keigo reassures as Touya pulls at the collar of his shirt.

“What if she hates it? What if something happens and she calls off the wedding?!”

“That’s not gonna happen. Take a deep breath, okay?”

Touya exhales, steam puffing out of his mouth. “I’m fine, i’m relaxed, it’s all good . I’m getting married.”

“Yup,” Keigo agrees.

“And it’s gonna go great.”

Touya looks away from Keigo and feels his heart drop as he sees you at the end of the makeshift aisle holding onto your mother, Andrea. ‘Holy shit, she’s beautiful…’

After taking Touya’s hand, you smile at him, before looking up at Enji. Luckily your heels made you strain your neck less to look up at the tall ruby-haired dragon shifter ministering your wedding.

Enji drawls through the opening words, welcoming all of your eight guests.

“The rings?”

Touya holds up the sapphire ring he gave you, squawking when it slips out of his sweaty hand onto the grass. “Sorry! Sorry, i got it,” he chuckles nervously and picks it up to slip on your finger.

You wave your hand a little. “Hot.”

“I’m nervous, gem. I’m overheating. Sorry.”

You smile at him and stroke his hand. “It’s okay.” You take the gold ring you bought with your savings, putting it on his finger. “You cut your nails,” you whisper.

“Didn’t wanna hurt you. Don’t worry, they grow really fast.”

“Does the bride want to read her vows?” Enji asks.

“I don’t have any, can’t we just not do that?”

“I agree,” Touya nods. “I don’t have anything to say that I haven't already told her.”

“Alright. Well, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride, son.”

Touya pulls you close, wrapping his hands around your waist and leans in as you cup his face. Not long after you start kissing, he twirls you around and dips you, pulling you in for another kiss.

“I love you,” he whispers.

“I love you too,” you smile.

Both of you move into your new home on the outskirts of town. A cute little cottage surrounded by greenery and flowers that would bloom in the summer.

“And done!” you sigh as you place the last box in the empty room. “Everything’s organised by room and all we have to do is unpack.”

Touya yawns and lays on the couch in front of a window. “Low energy, need to sun bathe.”

“Touya, c’mon, go check if there’s one more box in the caravan.”

“Tired,” he mumbles.

You smack his arm on the way outside, seeing one open box on the stone path. Looking inside, you gasp quietly at the little black kitten playing inside between some linen napkins.

“Oh my goodness! Hello!” you squeal and pick it up. “You’re so cute , where did you come from? Oh no, you must be freezing.”

meow ’ it meows quietly.

You scratch under its chin. “You look like my old cat Midnight. I miss her already. You’re staying with us.”

Mrow .’

You pick up the box, thankfully it’s light, and carry both it and the cat inside. “Touya, we have a new addition to the family.”

He peeks his eye open, seeing the cat. He sits up and hisses at the cat. “Little shit. We’re not keeping a cat.”

“Why not? They’re adorable! Look at this little face,” you coo, scratching the cat’s head and smiling when it purrs.

“It’s gonna shit everywhere.”

“We can train it to use a litter box.”

He groans and flops back on the couch. “Fine, but i’m not cleaning up after it.”

Later that night you catch him sitting on his haunches, watching the cat eat some mushy tuna, his pupils blown wide in infatuation.

“I thought you didn’t want him.”

“Shh, Obsidian’s having dinner.”

“We’re not naming him that…”

“It’s a work in progress.”

“We’ll figure it out in the morning. C’mon we’ve gotta get some rest to unpack the stuff for tomorrow.”

“Can the cat sleep in the bed?”

“He was gonna sleep in the bed anyways.”

Touya kisses your cheek then picks up the kitten once he finishes his dinner. “He’s so cute. Like a little baby. Let’s have a baby.”

“What?! Touya, we’ve already said we’ll wait.”

“I know, I was just thinking you’ve changed your mind. We can wait.”

“Maybe next year Touya, let’s see how things work out.”

Touya nuzzles your head, following you upstairs to the bare for now bedroom.

The next morning you feel a small sandpaper-like tongue lick your face. You groan softly and giggle sleepily when you feel a wet nose nudge against you. You start to dose off again until you feel a larger rougher tongue lick your neck. “Touya, stoop,” you groan.

“Shh, it’s time for grooming.”

“Noooo, we have to take actual baths,” you whine.

“We can do both.”

“Touya!”

The next thing you know you hear the kitten squealing at you as Touya hoists you over his shoulder and carries you towards the bathroom.

The winter passes, your potion business picks up like when you were living with your parents. Life is good.

Spring rolls around and the sludgy mess of snow melts to give way to new flowers and green grass.

One day while you were picking ingredients for potions you heard a scratching sound in the distance. You peeked around the tree and noticed Touya in his dragon form, rubbing his horns along the trees and growling loudly, the sound reverberating in your ears. “Touya?! Touya what are you doing?! arrêt !” You shout, trying to get his attention.

The dragon scratches at his neck and horns before picking up your scent. His pupils dilate as he shifts back into his hybrid form and starts walking toward you. Slowly backing away, you stare at him, slight worry in your eyes.

“Mate,” he growls.

“What?”

He groans, tugging his hair in frustration. “You won’t get it. I need to leave for a couple of days.”

“What? Why?!”

Touya mumbles something as his ears turn pink.

“What?”

“It’s breeding season, Y/n. I don’t want to hurt you cause it makes us dragons wild, territorial and borderline feral.”

You open your mouth in shock. “So you’re leaving to fuck someone else?! Are you crazy?! Avez-vous perdu votre putain d'esprit?!”(Have you lost your goddamn mind?!)

“No! I would never! I’m leaving to keep you safe, gem. I don’t want to hurt you. You’re my mate, the love of my life. I couldn’t live with myself if you got hurt because of me.”

“Then don’t go. Stay.”

“It’s dangerous.”

“Well…through better or worse. Just don’t kill or maim me.”

“Remember what I said before we went to the lake? If you go, I go. But I have some requests .”

“Like what?”

“Can you be a little aggressive in bed?” He mumbles, blushing.

“Huh?”

“It just makes things a little more authentic, this is embarrassing.”

“I need to know what you want so, go ahead.”

That night, you nervously sit in bed and wait for Touya to finish putting Java out for the night.

Nervously rubbing your arm, you make sure you look okay, getting up once to spray on a small amount of perfume before sitting back on the foot of the bed.

Touya walks in and shudders when he smells and sees you. “Goddamn gem, you look ravishing.”

You smile at him and gasp when he leans in for a kiss, already trying to push you back on the mattress. “Touya, not so hard,” you whine softly.

“Just relax,” he growls, tearing your nightgown off.

You glare up at him as he starts kissing along your neck, dragging his teeth along the skin.

‘You want aggressive, I’ll show you aggressive’ you think as you lean forward and bite his shoulder.

His nails dig into your hips. “Oh fuck !”

You drag your nails along his upper back to the sensitive skin between his shoulder blades as he groans loudly and shudders.

He pushes you on the bed, crawling over you. He’s unbelievably warm , almost making you sweat.

“You little brat,” Touya growls, pushing your legs apart.

“Why don’t you do something about it?” you smirk.

“Oh I will.”

Touya pulls your crotch towards his face, nosing at your folds. “Mine,” he growls. Licking a stripe up towards your clit his growls and purrs filled your ears as his tongue swiped along it while his fingers found their way along to your slit rubbing and prodding. Before you knew it, Touya had two fingers inside you and was pulling you over the edge towards your orgasm.

“Fuck Touya, yes! Yes !” you cry out as you rock your hips.

As soon as the aftershocks wear off, you gasp as Touya flips you over.

“Hey! Watch it!” you growl.

Touya ignores your warning and crawls over you, pulling his pants down.

“Touya, I mean it! Stop or you’re not getting anything else from me tonight. I’ll let you suffer your rut alone.

Touya looks at your face, noticing the stern gaze and whines softly, sounding like a kicked puppy. “Sorry gem…” he mumbles.

“Good, now where were we?” you giggle, lifting your hips and wiggling them with a smirk.

*

“Touya, let me go, ” you huff. “I have things to do!”

“No. You have to rest,” he protests, rubbing your stomach from below.

“I’m fine, Touya.”

“If you can get up without my help, I’ll leave you alone for the day I promise,” he chuckles as you glare at him over your five month pregnant stomach.

“Ass.”

He draws lazy circles over your tummy. “We’ll have such a cute pup, I can't wait.”

“You know I can’t lay eggs, right?”

“You’re carrying my egg, gem. Gotta protect you and our little one growing inside.”

“Little shit’s giving me back pain and heartburn.”

Java meows loudly next to you, pawing your stomach.

You smile as he makes biscuits on your stomach before staring at it in shock when you see the skin poke out from within.

“The menace is moving again,” you groan. “Stop moving so much, baby. You’re giving me pain.”

Touya nuzzles your stomach and rumbles softly while rubbing it. “Easy pup, don’t hurt your mama.”

The baby inside settles down at the feeling of warmth. “Guess they like your voice,” you smile.

“Guess so,” he agrees. “You’re a good whelp. Gotta get you big and strong when you come out.”

“It’s not your body he’s trying to split in half.”

“But he needs to be strong!”

“I need to live after childbirth Touya!”

“You’ll be fine,” he purrs.

You wiggle around and manage to sit up. “I’m going to make potions.”

Touya carefully pushes you back down and kisses your temple. “No, you’re staying in bed while I go get you breakfast. Java can keep you company, right?”

Java looks at you and Touya before opting to make biscuits on your stomach again.

“Good boy,” Touya smiles

“Touya, I have to walk around to keep my energy up. I can’t just stay in bed all the time.”

He groans in annoyance. “But the nest is safe for you.”

“I’ll have to go out at some point.”

He chuffs. “No.”

“Touya…this is ridiculous.” You get up anyway, groaning loudly. “God I'm bloated.”

“No, you’re beautiful, and you need to stay off your feet.”

You ignore him and waddle out the door, trudging down the stairs. Just when you get to the base, something knocks on your door. “ ah, qui cela pourrait-il être ?”(ah, who could that be?)

Opening the door, you smile wide when you see your moms and Touya’s mom on the other side. “Mom? Ma? Rei? What are you three doing here?”

“We came to check on you and the baby, sweetie,” Adela smiles as Andrea nods from behind her.

“We met Touya’s mother on the way and she’s so sweet,” Andrea adds.

“Oh, thank you,” Rei chimes. “Can we come in?”

You nod and step aside to let them in.

“I’m surprised Touya let you out of bed,” Rei chuckles. “I flew here to drop off some stuff for the nest.” she hands you the big white basket she’s holding.

“Thank you Rei. I’ll make good use of this,” you smile, closing the door behind them.

Touya comes down the stairs calling out after you before stopping when he sees your mothers. “Ma? Hi.”

“Hello Touya, nice to see you.” she yawns. “Sorry, i’m a bit tired from the trip.”

“I can set up the guest room—”

“We turned it into a nursery, Touya. Oh the nursery, come lemme show you how cute it looks. Rei you’re welcome to sleep on the couch. It’s right in front of the window so you can sunbathe.”

“Thank you dear,” she smiles before yawning. “I’ll be up in an hour or so.”

Touya helps her sit down, covering her with the knitted throw blanket. “Thank you, sweetie.”

Touya headbutts Rei gently, rubbing their cheeks together. “Rest up, Ma.”

“I will,” she sighs and lays down.

Java walks over to your mothers, rubbing his body between their legs.

“Ooh, hi Java,” Adela coos, holding her arms out for him to jump into. “ précieux bébé. Have you charmed him yet?”

You shake your head and rub your stomach. “Not yet, maybe after the baby is born. He sort of understands Touya and I already.”

Touya stands behind you, hands on your belly and purring loudly. “You’re supposed to be resting…”

“I’m fine Touya.”

“He’s right y’know,” Andrea adds. “Although you should get some air, too much movement isn’t good, mon chou.”

“Ugh, just come see the nursery.”

Touya stays right behind you the short walk to the nursery, purring again.

“Okay, so here it is. Isn’t it cute?” you gesture to the little white painted room.

Oooh ,” Adela marvels. “Very cute. I love the crib. And the window is nice and big.”

“Have the two of you decided on any names yet?” Andrea asks.

“We’re still thinking.” You take one of the fluffy blankets from the basket. Touya gasps and grabs it. “My old blanket! The pup will love this.”

You giggle at Touya’s enthusiasm. “I’m thinking of something french if it’s a girl.”

“What about Elise?” Adela suggests.

“Eh, je n'en suis pas fou.”(eh, i’m not crazy about it)

Touya arranges the blankets in the crib, trilling happily.

“Touya likes Riso if it’s a boy so that’s an option.”

“Sacred?” Andrea translates.

“Like treasure.” Touya nods.

“That’s a cute name,” Adela smiles.

“Guess we have to wait and see,” you say fondly, patting your belly. “I’ll get some food started for us.”

“No. I’ll make some food,” Andrea offers.

“But you’re our guests,” you argue.

“And I’m your mother. Guest or not, I will always take care of my daughter, now go sit.”

“Finally, someone who understands,” Touya jokes.

In the dead of night, during one of your monthly visits to Touya’s family home, you wake up to a mild cramp in your abdomen.

“Ooh, I need to pee,” you mutter.

“Gem?” Touya mumbles as you climb outta bed. “Come back.”

“In a minute Touya. I’ve gotta use the bathroom.”

Touya grumbles softly before opening his eyes as he smelled a shift in your scent.  His head springs up. “You’re having the baby.”

“What? No, they’re not coming for a couple days.”

“You’re having the baby. It’s coming.” he gets out of bed, checking on your stomach. “It’ll be here soon, we should get my mom.”

“Touya, I just need to pee,” you scoff and stand. “Help me go before I piss on myself.”

You gasp softly at the wetness between your legs. “Ah, fuck. my stomach hurts.” You whisper something and rub your glowing hands over your stomach to check what’s wrong, not sensing any abnormalities.

“I told you! Oh gods, we’re having the baby!” he warbles fearfully.

“Touya, relax, it’s the middle of the night and you’re going to wake everyone up. Let’s get Rei— ooh ,” you groan at a sudden cramp.

“Stay here! Wait no, I have to take you with me! Oh Gods…”

You watch him panic, rolling your eyes. “Touya, calm the fuck d— Ah!

Luckily, the door creaks open. “Why're you two yelling?” Shouto drawls. “It smells weird in here.”

“Shouto, great,” you sigh in relief. “Go get Rei, the baby is coming and your brother is losing his mind.”

“Oh…okay.” He slowly closes the door.

Slowly, you grab your coat and slip it on, controlling your breathing. You place your hand on the wall as another cramp hits you hard, almost making you collapse. “ Touya vas-tu putain m'aider!”(touya will you fucking help me!)

“What does that mean?!” he yells back.

“Help me you fucking idiot!”

“Stop yelling at me!”

You stop yelling, idiot !”

A soft knock gets your attention, Rei clearing her throat. “I heard I was needed?”

“Rei! Thank the gods, someone capable! The, fuck, the baby’s coming!”

“Oh dear, let’s go then. Touya?”

Touya picks you up, making sure you’re comfy. “Okay, I’m ready.”

Touya follows Rei down the mountain towards the hot springs, purring quietly, attempting to soothe you to no avail.

“I wish you died when I punched your throat,” you groan.

“I love you too gem,” Touya chuckles.

Rei steps into the water, checking the temperature. “It should be fine for you.”

Touya helps you take off your coat and walks into the water, sitting on the underwater ledge. “You’ll be fine.”

Rei massages your belly, easing the pain a bit. “Everything will be okay, dear.”

“What if something goes wrong?”

“Everything will be fine, gem,” Touya assures, nosing at your cheek, rubbing his on you.

You sniffle and rest your head back on his shoulder.

It’s long and strenuous. the cramps getting worse each passing hour. “ Ça fait vraiment mal, touya,”(this really fucking hurts, Touya ) you whine.

“It’ll be over soon baby. Breathe,” he coos, stroking your arms with his thumbs.

You cry softly and shake your head. “I think it’s happening.”

“You’re doing great dear, just push when you’re ready,” Rei encourages l.

You nod and take a deep breath. When you feel the worst cramp, you start to push, crying out. Feeling around for Touya, your hand grips his muscular thigh and you sink your nails into linen pants and skin. “Dieux du ciel, ça fait mal comme l'enfer! (Gods above, this hurts like hell!)”

After roughly four or so hours, when the sun starts to peek out from behind the horizon, Rei peeks up from the water. “You’re doing great, just keep pushing. I think I can see the head.”

“Oh fuck!” you sob as you feel the baby’s head start to push out.

“You’re doing great, gem.”

“Touya shut up !” You scream.

“Sorry…”

Within the hour Rei’s encouraging words and Touya’s attempts at keeping you relaxed help you give birth to your son.

“Here he is,” Rei gasps, lifting him out of the water and cooing as the baby cries from the first breath of air. “A perfect boy.”

He wriggles in her arms, small blue scales on his cheeks shining.

“Oh he’s so cute,” you sigh as he’s put in your arms. “Touya, look at him.”

Touya stares at the baby in confusion. “That is not an egg…I thought you’d lay an egg.”

“Touya, I—ok. But look at him, isn’t he precious?”

Touya looks over at the wrinkly light brown bundle in your arms, noticing the pilot blue eyes staring back at him.

Rei rummages through her satchel and takes out a small pair of scissors. “Touya, do you want to cut the cord?”

“Not really,” he swallows.

“It’s easy, just a quick snip.”

He reluctantly takes the scissors and holds it to the cord where Rei shows him. He closes the scissors and gags. “Ew, ew! It’s all hard and rubbery! I hate this!”

“Touya, relax,” Rei sighs. “It’s over. It’s just the afterbirth next then we can go home.”

“The what?”

“You helped me deliver your brothers, you should know what I’m talking about, son.”

You ignore their back and forth, opting to admire your son. “Allo, Riso. You’re so perfect. You caused a lot of trouble for mama but I’m happy you’re here.”

The baby yawns softly as his tiny hands grab mindlessly against your skin.

“You’re so cute,” you smile.

Touya practically clung to you after you laid down on your bed. Rei swaddles Riso in one of Touya’s old blankets, placing him in your arms to eat. “He’s gorgeous.”

“Thank you,” you smile as you feed Riso, petting his head.

“Knock knock~” a cheery voice calls out as a head of white with red highlights peaks through the door.

“Hi Fuyumi,” you say tiredly.

“Oh my goodness, is that him?” she squeals, walking over to look at the baby, pupils wide. “He’s not an egg, interesting.”

“Did everyone forget I’m human?” you comment.

“Woops, sorry. So, can I see him?”

You stick your finger in Riso’s mouth to break the latch on your nipple, chuckling at his soft gurgle in protest. “You can drink more later, baby. Your Auntie Fuyumi wants to meet you.”

Softly switching him around, you show his slightly fussy self to his auntie. Touya trills in annoyance and gets between Riso and Fuyumi, rubbing his cheek all over the baby.

“Relax Touya, I’m just saying hi to my nephew. Oh he’s so cute!”

Riso yawns softly and opens his eyes before nuzzling into your chest, mouthing to feed from you again.

Shouto, Natsuo and Enji stand at the door, not sure what to do.

“Can we come into the nest?” Natsuo asks.

Touya hisses at him.

“Guess not…”

“But we wanna see the baby,” Shouto complains. “Is he cute?”

“He’s so cute,” Fuyumi gushes. “With little scales on his nose like freckles.”

“Just like Touya,” Enji chuckles, reminiscing about baby Touya.

Rei pinches Riso’s cheek. “Look at his chubby cheeks.”

Riso fusses and starts to wiggle, opening his mouth to cry.

“The pup is crying,” Touya says. “Gem, make him stop.”

“Shh, baby. It’s okay, Don’t worry, it’s okay,” you coo, softly bouncing him and kissing his forehead. You look down at Riso as his small hand touches your cheek and smile as he whimpers softly. “There there, Riso. You’re okay.”

Riso sniffles and nestles impossibly closer to you as he starts to calm down.

“That’s a good boy.”

“I want to hold him,” Touya says, picking up the baby and laying down so Riso can lay on his chest. “He’s warm, that’s good, he’ll be a strong dragon.”

Riso whines from the lack of warmth before yawning at the warmth of Touya and nestles into his chest.

Touya follows his instinct and licks Riso’s head and face, covering him in his scent.

“Touya, what are you doing?!” you gasp.

“Shhh,” Rei shushes you. “He’s grooming him, it’s important for bonding.”

“What?”

Riso whines at the slightly rough tongue rubbing him but settles down, purring softly.

“Aww, his purrs are so cute,” Fuyumi coos. “A little broken but soft. Like Shouto’s when he was born.

You yawn loudly, laying in bed. “I’m exhausted. Wake me up for lunch.”

Rei ushers everyone out, giving you some privacy.

“Touya, don’t hog the baby.”

“My pup. My strong little whelp,” he rumbles and leans over to kiss your nose. “Strong mate too. i love you.”

“i love you too.”

A few days later, Touya flies you and the baby strapped to your chest back home.

“Riso, this is your new home,” you gesture to the snow covered home. “It looks better in the summer, i promise,” You giggle and adjust his little blue knitted hat.

Touya nuzzles you and Riso with his snout before shifting into his hybrid form. “Can’t wait to for you to meet your new friend.”

“I hope he didn’t rip up the charmed food bag I left,” you mutter and unlock the door. Java yowls at you when you step in, rubbing his body on your skirt.

“Hi kitty, we have someone we want you to meet,” you whisper.

Java yowls at you, turning around in circles before sniffing Touya’s hands as he picks him up.

“This is Riso,” he tells the cat, showing off the pup.

Java looks at Riso before leaning forward to smell him, flinching when Riso yawns softly. Smelling the baby again, Java tries to rub his face on Riso’s, only to get pulled away.

“You have to be gentle with him, Java.”

“He can’t understand us yet, Touya.”

“Oh right, he just reminds me of your old evil cat.”

You roll your eyes and kiss Riso’s cheek. “Tomorrow you’ll go see your mamies .”

Riso gurgles softly at the feeling before opting to nap again.

You chuckle at his drowsiness. “Sleepy baby.”

The next day, you surprise Andrea and Adela at their home with Riso. Touya shifts to his human form, much more skilled with it now, to avoid weird looks from citizens.

“Y/n! So nice of you to visit,” Adela smiles as she lets you both in. “I’ll make you some tea.”

“Wait mom, I wanna show you something.” You take off your coat to show her the bundle strapped to your front. “we had the baby a few days ago.”

Adela gasps before squealing and fawning over you and Riso. “Oh my goodness, he’s adorable! What’s his name? Oh, sit down, sit down! You must be exhausted.”

“He’s not really that much of a crier, it’s just hard for a little alone time,” you sigh, glaring playfully at Touya.

“I wanted to be with my mate and pup,” Touya grumbles.

“Not every single minute of the day Touya. I just need like one or two hours alone to rest sometimes …”

Touya chuffs and rolls his eyes before looking down when he feels fur rub against his calves. “Hi Midnight.”

Mrow?’ she meows curiously and hops up on the couch next to you. ‘ Meow meow?’

“Yes, we had a ‘ kitten’. His name’s Riso.”

‘Mrow, mrow.’ she meows quietly, slow blinking at you.

“Yes, he’s big, I know.”

Andrea !  Viens voir le bébé,”(Andrea, come see the baby) Adela calls up the stairs.

Andrea walks down the stairs and smiles when he sees you and Touya. “Where’s my grandbaby?”

“He’s right here, Ma. This is Riso.”

Andrea walks over to the couch and sits next to you, looking at Riso’s sleeping face. “Oh, he’s precious,” she smiles. “Can I hold him?”

Touya rumbles in uncertainty.

“Relax, Touya,” you warn and pass over the baby. “It’s okay. My parents wouldn’t do anything.”

Touya pouts and watches Andrea as she cradles Riso in her arms, trying not to sob.

“Mon cœur, are you alright?” Adela asks.

“He’s just so small and adorable. Y/n’s all grown up now and—”

Adela pats Andrea’s shoulder and coos over Riso as he yawns and stretches, looking up at Andrea.

“Look at his little eyes, they’re so bright.”

“He gets that from me,” Touya says proudly.

Adela waves her fingers over Riso’s head and little sparkles fall from the tips. Riso watches them, his face morphing into different emotions to familiarise himself with the tiny muscles.

“He’s perfect,” she smiles.

A month after Riso is born, Touya insists on taking him to the cliff to meet Keigo.

“Wait, let me just charm him,” you fuss, waving your hands over the baby for a protection spell.

“Nothing’s gonna happen to him, gem,” Touya sighs.

“Just in case. Fly carefully, please.”

Touya stretches his wings out, securing Riso in the sling on his torso.  “It’ll be fine. Ready Riso?”

The infant stays asleep.

“That’s a yes. Bye, gem.” He pecks your lips and launches into the air.”

“Be careful!” you shout after him.

Half an hour later, Touya lands on the cliff edge in front of a familiar cave in the side.

A  brown haired harpy peeks out of the cave before smiling at him. “Touya!”

“Hi Tori, is Keigo around?”

“He’s inside. Kei! you have a visitor!” She fixated on the bundle. “What’s that? Is it shiny stuff?”

“No, it’s my pup,” Touya says proudly.

She gasps, wings fluttering. “An egg! Lemme see!”

Touya moves the fabric enough to show Riso’s head. “His name’s Riso.”

“That’s a weird egg…”

“My mate doesn’t lay eggs. Y’know, cause she’s human. This is our hatchling technically.”

“Right, right! Well, your pup’s adorable. Kei get out here!”

Keigo finally makes his appearance, stretching his wings out. “What’s going on? Oh, hey Touya. Did you bring food?”

“Kei, he has a egg that isn’t an egg. A hatchling.”

“Oh wow, you finally had them, huh. He’s cute.”

“That’s Riso,” Tori grins, fawning over the bundle in his arms.

“Cute. You’re not the only one with a hatchling. One sec,” Keigo grins, going into the cave and picking up a little bundle whose face is grouchy from what Touya assumes is an interrupted nap.

“Mine hatched two days ago,” Keigo announces, holding up the infant. Their small wing nubs twitch beneath the blanket.

“This is Kazutaka.” Tori coos. “But Kei and I call him Kaz.”

“Cute,” Touya nods. “Mine’s cuter though…”

“Uh, no he’s not.”

Tori, ignoring the two, fawns over her baby, kissing his cheeks. “He’s my precious egg.”

“Is too! And, he’s gonna be so smart!”

“Please, Kaz’s  gonna be smarter.”

“Let’s wait and see.”

*

You sat on the couch knitting a scarf for Riso as Java laid on his side, tail idly flopping as he stared at you.

Not too far away you saw Riso waddle after Touya, attempting to grab his tail. ‘Aww.’

“Dada,” Riso calls, hugging the base of Touyas tail.

“Hmm? Oh, Hello Egg,” Touya chuckles, lifting his tail so Riso hangs in front of his face.

“Pway!”

“I can’t play right now, I’ve gotta go hunt for food.”

“I hat!”

Touya lowers him back on the ground. “No, egg, you’re the food!”

“No!” Riso shouts and headbutts Touyas leg to ‘fight’ him.

“Oh, you wanna fight, little egg? Let’s see whatcha got.”

Riso roars and charges at Touya, headbutting him as hard as he can before nipping his hand.

“Ow! Hey! You bit me!”

“Raa!” he giggles, headbutting Touya’s leg again.

Touya huffs and clutches his chest, groaning loudly and falling over in fake death. “You have defeated me! And now, I die—bleh.”

Riso climbs over him, patting his stomach. “Dada?”

Touya doesn’t move.

“You hunted him, Riso,” you joke. “We’re gonna have to eat him.”

Meow’ Java meows. ( good riddance)

“Java!”

“Dada! Dada up!” Riso whimpers, patting Touya’s stomach again. “Peez! No eat Dada!”

Touya uses his tail while Riso keeps patting his stomach and wraps it around Riso’s stomach. “Raa!” he growls and smiles when Riso squeals and hugs Touya.

“Dada otay!”

“You’re the best hunter, Riso,” Touya purrs, rubbing their cheeks together. “One day you’ll be big and strong like me and you’ll catch dinner for all of us.”

“Yah! I hat!”

“Now you have to stay and keep mama company,” He seats Riso down next to you. “That’s just as important. Dada’s gotta get dinner.”

“I’ll read you a story, mon chou ,” you chuckle and brush Riso’s curls away from the two black bumps on his forehead.

“Yay! Mama towy!” Riso giggles. “Jaba too!”

Java meows and walks over your lap to sit with Riso.

“Stay safe,” you tell Touya.

“Please, like nothing could hurt me . I’ll see you both later.” he waves and makes his way out the door.

“Bai Dada!”

“Gem, I've been thinking—”Touya starts as you both lay in bed.

“Uh oh,” you giggle.

“That’s not always a bad thing!”

“It usually is,” You continue your knitting. “What’s wrong now?”

“Nothing’s wrong, I just had an idea.”

“Go on.”

“What if I opened a tavern?”

You pause, looking at him. “A tavern?”

“Yeah, just to keep myself busy. I’m tired of doing odd jobs around the village. I’ve been thinking about it for a while.”

You hum. “That’s not a bad idea. You could make it a little shop too for my potions.”

“That’s a great idea, gem!”

“We could hire some of the locals, maybe some nymphs and mages. We can look for a few places tomorrow. For now, I just wanna finish this knitting.”

Touya eyes the pink piece. “What is that anyway? another blankie?”

“Oh, just a onesie for the baby.” You show him the work.

“Oh, okay,” Touya nods. “Isn’t it too small for Riso?”

You stare at Touya and giggle when he tries putting the pieces together.

“It’s not for Riso, Touya.”

“Wait?” he grins. “We’re having another pup?!”

“Yup. Hopefully a girl this time or this would’ve been a lot of work for nothing.”

Touya gasps and peppers your face with kisses. “I love you! Thank you!”

“I love you too Touya.”
