Chapter Text
When the portal brings them to a new Hyrule, Sky can only look on in wonder. Even as the other heroes are gathering around him, he only feels a sense of wonder. This Hyrule, with its many ruins, is overflowing with life and nature, reminiscent of his Surface. Sky wonders if they’ve found a Hyrule between him and Four, or if this is the Surface before Hylians were taken up into the sky.
As they travel, Hyrule refuses to stay on the path, wanting to look at everything and can only look on in wonder as this Hyrule, seems to be like his, only teeming with life. The Chain stops at a stable and asks around about the Hero of this land.
“I can’t believe we’re getting a new Hero this late,” remarks Time, “It has been about 2 months since we started traveling, and at least 3 weeks since Hyrule joined us. I wonder why Hylia has waited before sending us here.”
“You’re not the only one, Old Man.” Legend says over his bowl of soup. “Lets just hope he’s not as high maintenance as Pretty Boy over there.”
“Hey! Just because I care about how I look doesn’t mean you get to make fun of me for it!” Shouts Warriors from where he’s watching Wind and Four play with the horses kept at the stable.
“Yeah, but you spend at least 30 minutes every morning doing your hair! Even I don’t take that long in the mornings!” Says Sky from beside the fire, sitting with Twilight and Hyrule.
The stable master comes out and says, “I got some news for you boys, come on in and I’ll get to it.”
As the Chain files into the stable, Time asks, “So, what information do you have for us? We really do need to see if Link is related to us in anyway and we would rather do this sooner rather than later.”
“Calm your horses, I’ll get to this cousin business of yours soon, but first a question. What is your opinion on bananas?” He pulls out a bundle of bananas as he says this.
“What?” Time asks. “I mean, I have no love for bananas, but why does this matter?”
“Sorry,” says the stable master, “can never be too careful, even with the Calamity no longer around his crazy Yiga still are. Anyways, about your maybe relative, there’s a celebration going on in Castle Town, and everyone is going. Zora, Rito, Goron, Gerudo, you name them, they are probably going.”
“So, what you’re saying is that Castle Town is our best bet? How will we find him? If the land is anything to go off of, then Castle Town in going to be huge!” Sky exclaims.
“Hey now, don’t worry, Castle Town is still under renovations, and is only ¼th of the size it was 100 years ago. You’ll be fine. Besides I have it on good authority that even with the Coronation taking place, you will be able to find Link.”
“Wait, what do you mean by coronation?” Wind asks.
“Why, the Coronation of the King and Queen of course! Why do you think people are traveling to Central Hyrule? Even with the Calamity gone, that area is still a minefield.” The stable master exclaims.
The Chain then looked at each other wondering just what has happened in this Hyrule, Castle Town only ¼th the normal size, and now a Coronation of the King and Queen? They can only hope that by going they will get more information.

The stable master was correct, most of Castle Town was in ruins, as was most of the Castle. One could see areas under construction, and as the bells ring the Chain entered Castle Town.
“Excuse me sir! Would you happen to know where an Inn would be?” Twilight calls.
A young man in what looks to be a knight’s uniform stops and turns. “Of course, are you in town for the Coronation?”
“Yes, we are hoping to run into a distant relative, he goes by the name Link, do you know him?” Warriors continue.
“I know of him, why are you looking for him?” The knight says, slightly suspicious.
“Well, we’ve been sent to collect him for an adventure we are undergoing, any information of his whereabouts would be appreciated.” Warriors say as the young man flags down a slightly older Sheikah.
“My name is Dorian, I’ve been sent to collect you to see the King. I will lead you to the Inn and have you drop your weapons there.” The Sheikah says.
“Why must we drop our weapons off at the Inn? Can’t we just take them into the Castle?” Legend spats.
“The King does not allow any weapons with in Castle, much less within 20ft of his Queen.” Dorian says.
“What is he scared that the Queen can’t protect herself?” Hyrule questions.
“No, the Queen can take care of herself. It’s more of a security issue.” Dorian answers, “Although I do ask the one in the white cape keep his sword with him. The King would like to see it.”
Sky startles at the statement. “Why would he be interested in my sword?”
“I know better than to question the whims of my King, and lets just say, he is very interested in relics of an older time.” Dorian cryptically says.
“Alright then, lead the way.” Time asks.

“Holy shit! Look at this ceiling! It’s so big!” Yells Wind as he runs ahead to get a glimpse of the domed room.
Dorian leads the Chain down a few separate hallways into what looks like a study room and asks them to wait while he goes to get the King.
“Who do you think the King is?” Questions Four.
“I don’t know, but let’s hope he’s willing to get the Hero here so we can leave.” Legend remarks.
Just as he says this the door to the room opens up, and in comes the same young man that had gone to get Dorian in the first place, with him a young woman.
“Sorry to keep you gentlemen waiting, but duty calls at the most inopportune moments.” Says the young man. “I believe introductions are in order, I am King Link VII, and my Queen, Lady Katherine.”
