Work Text:

"What date is it?" Mina shouted from the bathroom, pausing her hairdryer for a few seconds.

"Just look at a fucking calendar!" Bakugou shouted right back, rolling his eyes as he drowned two sugar cubes in his coffee cup.

The silence of the early morning was disturbed by the clattering of various hair styling utensils, before Mina emerged from the bathroom and stomped into the kitchen, a determined expression on her face.
She wordlessly walked past Bakugou until she came to stand in front of the kitchen counter, theatrically pointing at the wall above.

There hung a calendar, just as Bakugou had suggested for her to look at.

"If you weren't such a gay simp and left this thing hanging here for three years, I totally would do just that", she rose both thin, pink brows.

Oh. Bakugou felt his cheeks heat up.

"Shut up", he grumbled and hid his face behind his cup.

"What do you have a phone for? Just look there. Nobody even uses real calendars anymore anyway."

Now it was Mina's turn to roll her eyes and she hopped up onto the counter to fish out her phone.

"He's lucky he's hot", Mina mumbled to himself and Bakugou didn't have any illusion that she could mean him. No, her comment clearly referred to the man on the page of October. And she was completely right.

The calendar had been a charity project of the local fire department, their most attractive firemen posing with cute kittens and puppies and very little to no clothing.

Mina had bought it three years ago as a joke. She was the biggest lesbian Bakugou knew and didn't have any interest in naked firemen. But she had wanted to tease Bakugou on his birthday. And Bakugou… he had been annoyed at that stupid thing at the beginning. But only at the beginning.

Mina had insisted they hang it up and use it since she had spent the money and Bakugou hadn't paid it much attention until one fateful day, when Mina flipped to the next page and he appeared. A beaming hunk of a man with hair as red as the fire truck he had to drive around with. He was completely naked, tanned skin and muscles on display as he flexed one bicep, holding a puppy in the other arm.

A bunch of five other fluffy puppies cuddled up on his lap. Bakugou had the suspicion all five puppies were needed to cover up what was hidden between his legs. At least his imagination ran in that direction. This guy's thighs could definitely crush melons and his pecs looked like the most comfortable pillows on earth.

Yeah, October guy was unfairly hot and Bakugou hadn't had it in him to turn the page when November came. Or December. Or January, the next year demanding he hang up another calendar.

Sheepishly, Bakugou had to admit that he had googled if the fire department had decided to make another one but no such luck. So this one had to stay on the wall and Bakugou had hissed like an angry cat any time Mina tried to get rid of it. He knew his obsession with the photo of a naked fireman was probably over the top, but he couldn't help but pad into the kitchen first thing in the morning to be greeted by Mr. October's blinding smile. It made starting the day easier.

Granted, it wasn't that smile in particular that helped Bakugou wake up fully. But it was nice nonetheless.

"By the way", Mina interrupted his thoughts, "it's the 19th, tomorrow is your birthday, grumpy cat."

"The fuck?!" Bakugou jumped in surprise, pouring scalding hot coffee all over his sleep shirt.

Mina cackled as he cursed and hopped around in pain, so he threw a spatula at her head. Hurt and annoyed they glared at each other for a few seconds before they burst out laughing.

"You idiot! How could you have forgotten your own birthday!" Mina threw her hands up incredulously.

"I dunno, work's been busy, okay?" Bakugou tried to defend himself.

"But shit. I still need to prepare so much. Oh my god, how am I supposed to get it all done?!"

It was Bakugou's birthday tradition that he would invite his parents for a special birthday feast every year. He liked to brag about his cooking skills, sue him. And because he hated birthday surprises and having others do stuff for him he could do much better himself, he had started this family dinner event a few years ago.

Mina knew all of this of course, having been his best friend for ages and despite her not understanding why the birthday kid should pamper their guests instead of the other way around, she knew it was important to him. So she clapped her hands and assured him that she would help as best as she could once she got off work.

Fortunately for him, Bakugou had today off and the day after too. He had been working overtime the past week since the office had been busy and it had paid off. Being free on your birthday was always good news. And it gave him just enough time to prepare the meal he had planned for this year. Buta No Kakuni.

Yes, it was an incredibly tight schedule and most would have shaken their heads and claim that it would be better to just make a simpler dish but that would have been too easy. He was Bakugou fucking Katsuki. He could do anything in the kitchen. Being a food critic meant he had lots of experience and cooking a perfect diced pork belly in 36 hours was a piece of cake.

He did need to hurry to get all the ingredients though. Mina kissed him goodbye on the cheek before leaving the flat and he quickly sat down to write a shopping list. He had half a mind to soak his coffee-stained sleep shirt in the sink before he got dressed and left. He didn't go to any of the big food store chains, because there he would only get crap produced for the masses.

No, Bakugou had his own secret spots where he got high quality food, some being small family owned shops and some being big, expensive ones delivering to the best restaurants in town. He usually got a discount for those, being a well known name in the industry despite his young age. Well, he was just awesome like that.

Traffic was a pain in the ass and delayed his schedule and, pretty pissed, Bakugou ran up the stairs with various shopping bags dangling from his arms. He unpacked the groceries in record time and pulled up his sleeves to get to work. There really wasn't much to do, but he needed to get the pork belly dices into the sous vide oven as soon as possible so they would be cooked properly by the time his parents arrived tomorrow.

He quickly cut the meat and roasted it in a pan before mixing soy sauce, mirin, sake, fish sauce, garlic, spring onions, ginger and sugar. This sauce would be put into the vacuum bag along with the pork belly dices and be cooked for 36 hours.

"Watch and learn", Bakugou nodded towards the calendar on the wall as he chose the right temperature on the oven.

He only felt a little weird talking to a photo. Something about October guy was just so lively it seemed as if his spirit really was there in the kitchen with him. Bakugou leaned back with a sigh. He was well within his schedule. With the pork belly doing its thing in the sous vide oven, he had lots of time to prepare some other snacks.

He would only make the onigiris and edamame now though. He'd make the gyozas, fried rice balls and karaage tomorrow so they'd be fresh. This year he had decided on a kind of buffet feast with lots of little snacks instead of a full meal. It made for way more steps to follow in the kitchen but brought more variety too.

Bakugou spent the rest of his day reading manga, sunbathing on the balcony- it was fairly warm for April- making an omelette for lunch and zapping through various channels out of boredom. Really, Bakugou wasn't made for freetime. He loved to work, loved having something to do. It wasn't like him to just lie around and waste his time.

But since he had food in the oven he didn't want to leave the flat to go for a walk, so he tried his best to endure the slow and lazy day until Mina got home. She called him a whiny baby when she eventually did. Well, he might have complained quite a bit about how boring doing nothing was, but well. She knew what she got herself into when she agreed to live with him.

Bakugou got paid good and could have rented a big place for just himself, but he simply couldn't stand being completely alone so he preferred to have a roommate. It might have sounded contradictory to anyone who didn't know Bakugou that well. He had a grumpy 'leave me alone' mentality but that was just for show for the most part. Yes, he needed time to himself but in the end he wasn't as antisocial as people made him out to be.

His friends always joked about him being a hermit but the truth was that he couldn't be by himself for too long without craving the annoying presence of other people.

"So you didn't need my help after all?", Mina asked after Bakugou had explained to her in every excruciating detail what he had prepared for his family dinner.

"I should have figured. You never take help in the kitchen", she rolled her eyes.

"What should I need help with, hah?", he crossed his arms with a shit eating grin and Mina shoved him hard.

As much as Bakugou loved cooking- it was his dream job after all- he was tired from today's preparations and didn't feel like doing anything for dinner. So they ordered takeout and watched a shitty romcom Mina insisted was awesome. It wasn't that bad. Bakugou went to bed afterwards. It was only 9pm but he was unable to compromise his sleep schedule, even on his rare days off. Mina followed him soon after, since work had tired her out.

Bakugou lay awake for over an hour and he knew it was because he hadn't done much today apart from cooking in the morning. Boredom didn't just annoy the hell out of him, it also didn't wear him out enough to fall asleep. When he finally drifted off, he was taken into a wonderful dreamland full of shark toothed smiles, thick thighs and sweaty skin.

In his dream, October Guy didn't use puppies to hide his junk, he used Bakugou instead. They ground together while fire danced around them, the burning smell of smoke tickling Bakugou's nose as they heavily made out. However, October Guy started to fade away somehow as the smell got stronger…

"KATSUKI! THE KITCHEN'S ON FIRE!"

In an instant, Bakugou sat upright in his bed. The smell of burnt meat was strong in his room and he scrambled to get up, holding his sleep shirt over mouth and nose as he opened the bedroom door carefully. The smoke was getting thicker and Bakugou looked around in panic, hoping to see Mina far away from the source of the fire. She came sprinting towards him with a bunch of stuff in her arms, tugging him along to the front door and out of the flat.

They ran down the stairs as if the devil was chasing them and left the building to bring a distance between them and the poisonous smoke. Mina then quickly pushed what seemed to be her most prized possessions into Bakugou's arms and fetched her phone out of the pockets of her sleeping joggers to make an emergency call. Bakugou looked down into his arms. There was Mina's favourite plushie- a pink fluffy alien thing, the photo album her friends had made for her birthday once, the necklace from her mum and… a vibrator.

Ew! Bakugou almost dropped it in disgust but now wasn't the time to call your friend out for being nasty. He actually felt kind of dumb and a little sad. Mina had made sure to save the things most important to her from the flames and all Bakugou had taken with him were the clothes he wore.

Then again, his best things were his kitchen utensils and it seemed they would be lost anyway. In horror he finally realised what even must have happened. His beautiful pork belly! Bakugou couldn't believe it. He had never ever in his life burned food before. Sure, he hadn't been there while the meat was cooking but he was a hundred percent sure that he'd set the right temperature!

Fuck. His reputation as a critic would suffer incredibly from this. Bakugou Katsuki, burning a pork belly and almost killing his roommate in the process.

"The firefighters will arrive here asap", Mina interrupted his inner panic.

"You okay?" she touched his arm gently.

"My food burned", he whispered hoarsely.

"My food has never burned, oh god, this is so humiliating", he whined and buried his face in her neck.

Mina shoved him off gently.

"Oh so you're more worried about your ego than our flat burning down?", she raised a brow.

He knew she didn't mean it that way though. Of course he was worried a shitload about their home.

"This is a nightmare", he groaned.

Mina let him wallow in his self-pity and took her things back, hugging her plushie close while they waited. It didn't take long until they heard the telltale siren of an approaching fire truck. They could see lazy flames dancing behind the window of what they knew was their formerly flawless kitchen and both felt relieved- yet still tense at the same time- at the firefighters coming to their rescue.

The truck halted in front of the house, a ladder getting retrieved quickly to reach their floor. Three men jumped out of the truck, all clad in full gear, the sight of their thick overalls and helmets making Bakugou's mouth water. Did he have a firefighter fetish? He didn't care. At least the arousal distracted him from the fear of losing his home.

One of the firemen jogged over to Bakugou and Mina, rescue blankets under his arm. He had blond hair poking out from under his helmet and small, blue eyes.

"I am Togata Mirio", he introduced himself.

"Are you alright? Do you have problems breathing?"

He wrapped the golden blankets around their shoulders as they shook their heads no.

"I still need you to come with me to get oxygen masks, since there is still a risk of smoke poisoning", he instructed and they followed him over to the truck, sitting down inside and letting the fireman put oxygen masks onto their faces.

They sat in silence for a few minutes before a shout rang out that the fire had been put out. Mina and him both sighed in relief. Togata asked them again if they were sure they were okay as they pulled the masks off and jumped out of the truck. Bakugou waved him off and looked up to the ladder another fireman climbed down from. He jogged over to them, his face flushed but not as concerned as Bakugou had feared it to be.

Faintly he thought that he recognised his long pointy nose from somewhere and then again also his colleague's eyes. Something about them rang a bell but he couldn't quite place why.

"Kirishima's checking the damage", the pointy nose guy told Togata.

"I think they can go up in a few minutes to see for themselves. The fire didn't spread far, most of the kitchen is still intact."

Togata turned to look at Mina and Bakugou.

"You will probably need to stay at a friend's place until the kitchen is renovated then."

Bakugou shook his head vehemently. He didn't like the thought of crashing on someone's couch. Only one room was affected and even though it was his beloved kitchen, that sounded relieving. Mina and Bakugou pulled the golden blankets from their shoulders soon after and followed Togata up the stairs back inside their flat. The smoke had cleared, the two firemen having aired the place after they had taken out the fire.

Bakugou looked around at his soot-blackened counters and the sous-vide oven. It looked utterly burnt out. His heart sank at seeing his beloved kitchen in shreds. Faintly he heard Togata talk to the third fireman called Kirishima. A deep, pleasant voice, that somehow managed to calm Bakugou's heavy heart, spoke about the reason of the fire.

"It must have been a short circuit. Caused by this thing over there."

Bakugou whirled around to snap at the man.

"This thing was my sous-vide oven! Always made fantastic meals with it. Just because you probably only know the taste of microwaved shit-"

Bakugou stopped as he realised what he was seeing. His eyes opened wide and he was aware that his lips moved like those of a fish, opening and closing in shock. October Guy stared back at Bakugou, clearly surprised at his sudden verbal attack and his equally sudden freeze mode.

Holy shit. These were the men from his calendar! And his biggest wet dream of the past three years was looking right at him. Bakugou felt his face heat up and he mourned that he hadn't burned along with his kitchen to nothing more than a pile of dust that wouldn't have to endure this embarrassing moment.

"I, um", Bakugou stuttered. He never fucking stuttered. He fully blamed it on the grimey, yet still so damn handsome face of October Guy, with these bright fucking eyes and full lips.

Clothed, he was just as attractive, dammit. The helmet and overall, hiding what Bakugou knew was underneath, excited him even more.

"Excuse me, sir", the fireman said in that deep, calming voice of his.

"I didn't mean to insult you. A short circuit is nothing you can be blamed for. I am sure this machine was defect."

"Well now it definitely fucking is", Bakugou grumbled.

Togata told October Guy that he would go downstairs and wrap up their equipment. When he left, in his place Mina entered the kitchen, looking around in concern. She had been in the other rooms, checking that really everything else was okay. When her eyes landed on the fireman still looking at Bakugou, she squealed, her eyes big as saucers.

"It is you!" she shouted, pointing dumbly at the man.

October Guy turned to her in surprise.

"Uh, yeah… it is me?" he frowned in irritation.

"Yeah! You!" Mina said excitedly and to Bakugou's horror she pointed at the calendar right behind the fireman.

He turned around and glanced at his own, naked self before nodding.

"Oh! Yeah, that's me… but… that calendar is quite old. And isn't it April, not October?"

Mina clapped her hands.

"Oh, you're so smart! Look, Bakugou, he isn't just hot, he's smart too!"

Bakugou was positive his face was on fire by now. But oh, how fortunate that they had a fireman at hand. Surely he could put the fire out, preferably with his tongue… Fuck! No! Stop it!

"You really are a hottie, aren't you?", Mina cooed and looked the confused man up and down.

"Are you single?", she asked with a mischievous expression and a side glance at Bakugou.

October Guy visibly tensed and scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Oh, lady- I'm not- I mean you are not- you are very- you know, but I... men?" he finished with uncertainty.

"Oh baby boy! You are a mess like him!" she squealed and pointed at Bakugou.

"It's fine. You are gay, he is gay, I am gay, we're all gay."

October Guy just seemed even more confused.

"Well, I-"

"I was asking about your relationship status because of my amazing friend here." Suddenly Mina stepped to Bakugou's side and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, holding him tightly in place.

The fucker. She was just trying to keep him from fleeing the scene. It was the middle of the night and his kitchen had burned. Couldn't a man get some peace and quiet? October Guy seemed to perk up at her words though.

"He is so pathetically single that it isn't even funny anymore", Mina continued in a solemn voice and Bakugou punched her arm hard.

She just cackled and October Guy looked on in uncomfortable silence. Mina didn't seem fazed by that and, to Bakugou's misfortune, didn't stop talking.

"I mean, look at my friend. He has good boyfriend qualities, like he is a great cook! Ehm, well. Normally", she added with a look at the pathetic rest of Bakugou's sous-vide oven.

"And, well. He's quite rich! And good looking I guess. And if you're into grumpy gremlins he's your man", Mina concluded with a thumbs up.

"Oh for fucksake, stop", Bakugou pleaded.

"You're making me out to be a huge freak."

"I don't think any of that sounds freaky", October Guy frowned.

"Well, maybe the- what was it- 'gremlin' part but I don't even know what that is supposed to mean… you are way too beautiful to be a gremlin."

Bakugou almost choked on his spit and Mina suppressed a giggle.

"Well…", October Guy said after a few seconds had ticked by.

"I should get going to help my friends wrap up."

"Oh please don't go yet!" Mina pleaded.

"My friend here is still shocked because of the fire, he needs your emotional support! I have a few questions for your coworkers anyway", she said with that mischievous glint in her eyes again and bolted from the kitchen.

Bakugou stared at her retreating back in disbelief. That little shi-

"I am sure having a fire in your own home must be frightening", October Guy suddenly stepped towards Bakugou and put a hand on his shoulder in a soothing gesture.

Normally Bakugou would have pushed him off for mothering him but he was too distracted by their size difference. Bakugou was barely reaching up to October Guy's shoulders and the hand on his was double the size of Bakugou's own delicate ones. Holy shit, this guy really ticked all his boxes. And he thought Bakugou was a damsel in distress that needed saving.

"Even as a fireman it still touches me every time. All that damage and people in danger."

He looked down at Bakugou with these round puppy dog eyes and he lost it.

"God, you're a himbo", he whispered in awe.

"What?"

"Nothing", Bakugou coughed.

"What's your name?"

"Oh, of course! How rude of me!" the fireman blushed, seemingly embarrassed at having forgotten his manners before touching a stranger's shoulder. Damn, Bakugou wanted to corrupt this big ass cutie so bad.

"My name is Kirishima Eijirou. What is yours?"

"Bakugou Katsuki", he answered and took the offered hand the himbo fireman held out to him. Bakugou's hand was swallowed whole in that palm. Goddamn.

It was calloused and the rough texture felt foreign but exciting on Bakugou's own delicate and smooth fingers that were spoiled from expensive lotions.

"So, uh, you like to cook?" Kirishima scratched the back of his neck again as he asked. Could it be that he was… flustered?

"You could say that", Bakugou chuckled.

"I'm a food critic."

Kirishima's eyes widened and his lips parted in awe.

"Oh, that is so cool! You must have a sensitive tongue! I mean- ah. Well, you know", he mumbled and his soot stained cheeks tinted pink.

Bakugou felt his own lips spread into a grin. Kirishima was far easier than he ever could have expected. He decided that it couldn't hurt to play around a little bit.

"Want me to taste you?", he smirked.

"Wh-what?!", Kirishima's face morphed into shock and his cheeks turned a shade darker.

"I asked if you want me to taste your food?" Bakugou said in a voice he hoped was innocent enough to hide his excitement.

"Oh…", Kirishima looked both relieved and disappointed at the same time. The imaginary little devil on Bakugou's shoulder cackled in glee.

"But no! I am a horrible cook", Kirishima admitted sheepishly.

"Oh, I am sure you have other… qualities", Bakugou said and let his eyes roam languidly over Kirishima's body on the last word. The fireman looked away in embarrassment.

Bakugou's libido wanted to absolutely ravish the meal that was this man. He had to taste devine. But just as Bakugou thought about getting a bit bolder, Mina stormed into the room again.

"It's your birthday!" she shouted and waved her mobile phone around. The digital clock showed that it was half an hour past midnight already. Under her other arm she held a box clad in bright pink wrapping paper.

"Oh, congratulations", Kirishima said, a bright smile on his face. It made Bakugou's body tingle to be on the receiving end of that smile.

"You're old now", Mina teased in a sing-song voice.

"Thirty ain't that old, bitch", Bakugou grumbled.

"It is not nice to make fun of your friend's age", Kirishima scolded her with a frown and Bakugou felt smug about his himbo defending him.

"Whatever", Mina shrugged and stretched out her arms for Bakugou to take the present.

He grabbed it with a suspicious expression. Mina had gone out of her way to give him embarrassing presents before. She loved to tease Bakugou almost more than she loved women and he wouldn't put it past her to make him open a humiliating present in front of his crush. But he was tired and didn't feel like arguing with her determined ass so he ripped the obnoxious pink wrapping paper off unceremoniously and opened the unsuspecting cardboard box to get his present out.

When his hand closed around the object he knew that all his fears had been valid. Pulling it out, a red, yellow and orange dildo was revealed, the colours mixing and blending together to make the illusion the toy was on fire.

"I didn't know your kitchen would burn when I bought it but now it fits even better!" Mina clapped her hands, seemingly proud of herself.

"Happy fiery birthday!"

She forced him into a hug and Bakugou begrudgingly accepted it. The dildo did look very pretty. And it was quite big, the size feeling amazing in Bakugou's small hands. He caught a glimpse at the redhead over Mina's shoulder and a grin split over his face at the fireman's expression. He was beet-red and averting the other's eyes, obviously flustered because of Mina's present.

"Practising self love doesn't embarrass you, does it?" Bakugou smirked directly at Kirishima upon ending Mina's embrace.

Kirishima's eyes snapped up and he gulped.

"Um, no, of course not", he tried to look composed but failed miserably.

Mina- bless her- seemed to sense that Bakugou was ready to pounce, like a cat on the prowl, and left him to it, faking a yawn and announcing that she would now go to bed.

Bakugou didn't wait for her to be completely out of sight to slowly walk up to the embarrassed fireman, the dildo dangling from his hand.

"Do you like playing with fire, Eijirou?" he murmured and looked up from underneath his eyelashes. He was in full slut mode but he didn't care.

He was very sure that this hunk of a man wanted him but was too much of a gentleman to try anything so Bakugou needed to make his intentions as clear as possible. Bakugou dragged the dildo up Kirishima's stomach and over his mountainous pecs and the fireman gulped, heartbeat a quick and steady drumming.

"Because I do", Bakugou continued and touched the tip of the dildo to Kirishima's lips.

He gasped and the fake cockhead slipped between his parted lips, making both men shiver in anticipation. A tentative tongue slipped out to lick at the hinted at slit. Bakugou's eyes glazed over. He was ready to take this man right here in his half ruined kitchen. He was going to show him what real pleasure felt like. He would-

"Kirishima? We have to go now, where are y-"

Togata came to a sudden stop in the doorway. The three men stared at each other. Togata looked shocked, Kirishima ashamed and Bakugou absolutely pissed. Twice in the span of a few hours two incredible meals had been ruined for him. Kirishima quietly slipped away from the counter Bakugou had pushed him against and followed his coworker out without another word.

Bakugou stared after him in disbelief. Just now he had almost shoved a dildo down the cutie's throat and now he didn't even say goodbye? Bakugou sighed in annoyance when he heard the front door click shut. Mina poked her curly, curious head around the corner.

"Did he leave already?" she asked with a frown.

"His dumb friend interrupted us", Bakugou hissed and walked past her with the dildo still in hand.

"Oh, used my present already?" her eyebrows wriggled and he hit her with the fake cock.

"Shut up."

Without another glance back, Bakugou walked into his room and flopped down onto his bed, passing out in seconds.

Birthdays were pretty fucking good, Bakugou thought as he shoved another piece of fried chicken into his mouth. As annoying as Mina could be, she was a good friend and had prepared quite a bit for Bakugou's special day.

They sat on his bed, wrapped in blankets, and ate fast food she had ordered early in the morning to wake Bakugou up. On his laptop they watched the newest Allmight movie that Mina had bought the limited edition dvd of, with the extended version and bonus material. Bakugou also had a paper crown on his head and Mina called him her highness and let him throw fries at her whenever she asked a dumb question about the plot.

Yeah, this was a pretty nice birthday, even though his birthday feast was ruined and his biggest crush in the existence of crushes had visited and then left him again without a word. That one still stung.

But at least the former problem had a solution. His mum and dad would come earlier and help him prepare some more snacks and dishes to make it on time. Bakugou would never admit it but it made him nostalgic that they would cook together again. The last time that had happened had been when Bakugou was eleven. Later, he hadn't wanted help from anyone. He'd been competitive and independant pretty early.

But something about doing this with his parents again, together… It felt calming and sweet. Something Bakugou would deny until the very end. The doorbell rang and Bakugou grunted in annoyance. He'd had to answer several birthday calls already but a surprise birthday visit was not on his agenda.

"I'll see who it is", Mina decided after the bell rang a second time and hopped out of bed to run to the front door.

Bakugou heard her squeal and frowned as he paused the movie.

"Kittykat, you'll definitely want to see this!" she shouted and Bakugou rolled his eyes.

He doubted that anything was worth getting out of his comfy bed for, leaving Allmight literally hanging- the scene he had paused showed the hero in the middle of a United States of Smash, flying through the air. Still, he got up, dragging his blanket with him like a cape and tried to look as royal as he felt when he stepped beside Mina. Bakugou's breath caught. On his doorstep Kirishima stood, smiling sheepishly and scratching the back of his neck like he had done the night before.

He wore a tight red t-shirt, jeans that seemed to struggle to hold in his thick thighs and his red hair was secured in a low bun. Goddamn, could he get any hotter? Bakugou felt himself blush. Here he looked like a kid dressed up as a king for his little birthday party and Kirishima looked like out of a wet dream.

"I am so thirsty, I'm gonna get a glass of water!" Mina decided and sprinted into the kitchen. Bakugou was sure she was going to stand behind the door and eavesdrop.

"Um, what are you doing here?" Bakugou asked and wrapped the blanket tighter around his shoulders.

"I wanted to properly wish you a happy birthday", Kirishima smiled shily.

"That's for you", he added and presented a bouquet of pink roses to the birthday boy. Bakugou gaped at the flowers and took them with a whispered thanks.

"Um, I also have another present, if you want it", Kirishima said and a blush crept onto his cheeks as well now.

From behind his back, he took a very badly wrapped square but flat present. The wrapping paper had little fire trucks on it. Cute. Kirishima waited patiently for Bakugou to open the package until he revealed…

"I'm October again", Kirishima smiled aa he saw Bakugou's excitement upon seeing the new calendar of the local fire department.

"But please don't wait to turn to that page. Yeah?" Kirishima pleaded with his eyes.

As if Bakugou could have prevented himself from checking if this year's shot was just as hot as that from three years ago.

"Yeah", Bakugou nodded and Kirishima beamed.

"Well, then… have a nice birthday, Katsuki", Kirishima said and leaned down to place a sweet kiss on Bakugou's cheek.

With a wave he turned around and walked down the stairs, leaving a dumbfounded Bakugou to stare after him before closing the door.

"What did he get you!" Mina shouted and jumped out of her hiding spot, looking over Bakugou's shoulder.

Bakugou ignored her and flipped through the calendar, looking for the month of October. When he found it Mina let out a long whistle. Kirishima was completely naked again but this time he wasn't directly facing the camera. His back muscles and- holy shit that ass- were the center of the shoot. God, his butt was so sculpted. Bakugou wanted to eat off that.

Over his shoulder Kirishima winked at the camera, holding up a single, grey kitten on his huge palm. But as captivating as the photo was, Bakugou was more interested in something else. There, at the bottom of the page stood a phone number. And the most exciting three words Bakugou had ever read: "please call me!"

He grinned to himself. Yeah, birthdays were pretty fucking great.
