The raindrops fell to the ground so effortlessly that she barely can’t tell their presence, a deep breath it was all it takes to smell the ground, victim of the presence of the rain, it was really quiet, all the sounds of the night were audible, birds singing and trying to find shelter, crickets singing all at once sounding like echoes through the night. But this didn’t matter to Scylla who was alone trying to reach her love once again but it was useless, all she heard was pure silence, she was starting to believe that this was for nothing, all she wanted it was to bring her back home, to her.
Then she fell to the ground, grabbing the dirt in a response of pure desperation but more than that Scylla was angry, angry at the people who once again took her away from her, she didn’t understand why they can’t be happy, all she ever wanted was a future to look up to and that future was Raelle, she knows that now , because when she looked at her it felt like time stopped and she felt the strength that she needed of keep trying, keep fighting, everything and everyone around just disappeared and they were just them, excluded and safe from the sea pure of hatred that wanted nothing except the destruction of their love.
-Raelle please, come back to me- tears start falling to her face she felt hopeless, terrified that she lost her love for good this time, history was repeating again, and she was sixteen again losing the only people that loved her the most, her parents. Leaving her alone in the world and with pure anger and thirst of revenge until she found her. Scylla stood up the best way she could, still shaking and sobbing for her love that was nowhere to be found. Until, she started to leave and walked from the place, then she heard a familiar voice.
-Scyl? – she felt how her entire body trembled by the sound of her voice, oh how much she missed her voice, her lips parting in a perfect way of saying her name was her favorite thing, of course she thought it was her mind trying to cope with the pain in an act of self-mechanism but she turned around an froze.
Scylla didn’t have time to think, her mind suddenly unable to express any function neither her body that just stood there and in less than a second Raelle was running to her , lips were open to meet hers in a kiss that felt like a poem , the kiss was loving but desperate as if they were trying to say everything they wanted it but most of all “I missed you”. They deepened the kiss trying to memorize every part of each other for the eternity, not wanting to let go of each other ever again.
They broke the kiss and Raelle tug a piece of Scylla’s hair behind her ear and they just saw each other for a second but for them it felt like hours, Raelle expressed all her love through her eyes, that have been with tears since she kissed Scylla, she felt save, she felt like home, finally.
-Are you really here? – Scylla couldn’t believe that her love was finally with her, where she always belonged.
- it’s really me Scyl, I missed you so much- Raelle started to smile with tears in her eyes, she grabbed Scylla’s face so tenderly, tracing her face with her fingers in a way so delicate scared that Scylla would disappeared in front of her leaving her empty and alone again. Scylla leaned to Raelle’s touch almost immediately, her body being deprived of her loves touch for so long was a torture for her, she closed her eyes feeling so in peace.
- I never loosed hope- Raelle wanted to kiss her again – I never stopped trying , I always knew- Scylla held and hugged Raelle as if her life depend on it , remembering all of her touch, how good it felt to be in the fixer arms, her smell and hearing her voice that she was aching to listen that voice again, so afraid that she would only see her love in her dreams but no, this was real and everything she had done for Raelle has been worth it and she would do it all over again if she had to.
Raelle took Scylla’s hands and held them dearly and lovingly and never broke aye contact with Scylla, - I love you Scylla and I don’t want to be apart from you anymore , you are and always will be the love of my life , I never knew I could be this happy , and being apart from you made me realize that I cant live without you so I won’t- Raelle’s words were like music for Scylla’s ears , she was in awe of Raelle’s words that she felt she could run away with her in that exact moment -Rae.. I- but Raelle wanted to say something more.
-I refuse to spend another day without you, I want to wake up and see your beautiful face in our bed , and touching it like this – She run her fingers through Scylla’s face lovingly -and kiss you before you wake up , I want to make breakfast together because we both know that If you weren’t there I would cause a fire- Scylla cry and laugh at the same time- and I want to do all the things that we had never done, I want to keep my promise to you, I told you someday soon we would go away together so what are we waiting for?- Scylla felt all kind of emotions through her body but mainly love and excitement for the life that they were heeding to, and she said – straight to the lighthouse- Raelle smiled and kissed her, grabbing Scylla’s chin like she always does, she just needed to say one more official thing.
- Marry me- Scylla felt how her heart stared racing the fastest its ever been in her entire life – Scylla Ramshorn, would you let me have the honor of being your partner for the rest of our lives? I will love you for the rest of my days and even after that, you would never be alone because I’m with you, always- Scylla was in a trance she just couldn’t believe that this was happening that the love of her life was in front of her and it would only take one word to spend the rest of the eternity together.
Both witches were crying and Scylla said – you are the love of my life too Raelle, my only true love and having you in my life was the best thing that ever happened to me, you gave me a purpose a reason to keep fighting, to believe in something good in this world that wants to destroy us but it never will, You are the reason my heart always skips a beat when I’m around you, you are my home and of course I will marry you-
They kissed so fiercely, a kiss for the ages, it was a kiss that expresses all of their love, they deepened the kiss and touch each other with needing but tenderly at the same time, both of their fingers running through their bodies , exploring each other even though they are experts at that, listening to the sound of the night , they belonged together and they were at home at last.
