Chapter Text
Dionysius, the god of wine and craziness, was very likely to go around spending his time with
girls and guys, and everyone else. It was just who he was, and what he did.
Ares, on the other hand, loved his solitary nature. He loved his time spent alone. And that was
who he was. It just was. You can't change that.
But we all need someone to stay. Dionysius was not completely happy with all the people he
spent time with and then moved on from.
Ares liked being alone, but on some days, he wished he had someone to kiss, someone to hug
and someone to be with.
For some people, finding that person is easy, but accepting to be with that person is hard. For
others, finding the one is difficult, but when they find the one, or multiple ones, I don't judge,
they feel permanent euphoria.
Some people never find the one, or multiple ones. They think they do, but just because you
love someone and get along with them, it doesn't mean that they make you feel peace and
absolute happiness.
People can't fix each other either. Your soulmate(s) can't change who you are too drastically.
Sure, your favourite food might change, or your way of dressing. You might be happier, but your
basic personality and preferences won't ever change. And that's fine. You don't have to be
exactly like someone to be their soulmate. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Which was the case
with the god of war and the god of wine.
It didn't take them long to find each other, and realise they were made for each other (and other
things. One has a lot more purpose in life than just loving someone. But I meant this as an
expression. ), however, it did take them a bit too long to accept their love for each other.
Once they did accept it, they only had to hope others did too. There is no one on earth who
accepts all love and all couples. No one. Not even the most accepting person. Hell, I don't give
a fuck about who you love, but I would cringe if some rapist was dating a murderer, or some
student was dating a teacher, or some 7 year old was dating a 15 year old, or some….you get
the idea. Mind you, some of such couples aren't in love. But some may be, and you'd still
disapprove of it, if not absolutely despise it.
Ares and Dionysius also had to face certain disapproving people. But in the end, they looked
past that and lived with their love for each other. They had a happy ending.
They're gods. They don't have an ending. I guess we'll see how long it lasts.
