It's a special day in smile town, a new resident is arriving today, and it’s been creating a lot of buzz. “What will they be like?” ,“Are they a boy or a girl?”, “what will they think of us?” because they will stay in Smile Town permanently. Hello Kitty and Badtz-maru visited the train station to greet the newcomer to town. The person who stepped out of the train station was a bear. She had pastries on hand, stuffing her face with sweets of every kind. Apple pies, Apple strudels, puddings, and cakes. She was positively beaming with joy.
“Hi! Welcome to Smile Town!” greeted Hello Kitty
“Why did you have to drag me here just to greet some stranger?” sulked Badtz
“Well, YOU still owe me for getting one of those troublesome pictures of yours anyway” Hello Kitty retorted.
Badtz shut his mouth so she wouldn’t say anything else
“Anyway, what's your name?” asked Hello Kitty
“Oh, my name is Pastry!” exclaimed Pastry
“Well, that’s an oddly fitting name!” chuckled Kitty
“Well, what’s your name?” asked Pastry
“My name is Hello Kitty!” answered Kitty
“Wait, you have "hello” in your name?” asked Pastry, confused
“Hey, don’t ask me, ask my parents,” said Kitty
“And who is your friend?” asked pastry
“this is Badtz-maru, say hi!”
He sighed
“Hello nice to meet you”
“Nice to meet you too!” said pastry
“Let us walk you to your house!” said Kitty
“correction, let HER walk you to your house,” said Badtz then he walked away
“What got into him?” said pastry
“Oh, he’s just like that. He thinks he’s sooooooo high and mighty, saying he’s going to be the “boss of everything” Kitty said, Mockingly
Well anyway let's get you to your new home”
As they walked, Kitty introduced pastry to everyone in smile town, my melody, little twin stars, and Kuromi. As they got to her house, pastry saw a huge mountain with smoke coming out the top.
“Hey, why is there smoke coming out of that mountain?” asked pastry
“Oh…oh no need to worry about that” Kitty said, with a helpless look on her face
“Oh come on now I’m curious!” Pastry said looking at Kitty
She sighed “ok fine I will tell you. There was this guy called Edward Red, he used to be a citizen of Smile Town but he did something…regrettable,” Kitty said, taking her finger and sliding it across her neck.
“Oh…” pastry said with horror in her eyes
“He died a couple of years ago, now the people living on that mountain are his son gust and his wife Vanessa,” Kitty said
“Why was he not arrested?” pastry asked
“Have you seen this place? There is no police force in his entire town! What are we supposed to do, talk?” Kitty said with frustration in her voice
Just don’t get near that mountain, it’s dangerous”
“Why? It’s just his family-” pastry said
“JUST DON’T GO,” Kitty said aggressively
“Ok, I won't,” pastry said, with a sick feeling in her stomach
“Anyway, have fun in your new home!” Kitty said cheerfully like this conversation never happened. Then she walked away
As pastry entered the house she started unpacking her suitcase. She has a bunch of pink cutesy furniture. Outside she saw the looming mountain, it had intense energy to it like it was watching her. What is his family like? Are they the same as him? Are they also…killers? No, they couldn’t be…right? These questions gnawed at her brain for a couple of hours. Then someone started knocking on the door which made her jump. She walked to the door and opened it, it was Kuromi.
“Hello there, newcomer!” She greeted me.
“Hello, Kuromi is it? Kitty told me a lot about the residents.” pastry said.
“Oh well isn’t that nice? So I can spare the introduction.” Kuromi said.
“Well I won’t spare mine, my name is pastry and I will be your new neighbor!” pastry said cheerfully.
“Well don’t get too happy, I’m only here to help you unpack cause Nyanmi said I had to do something nice to level out my “assholish behavior”.” she said while eye rolling
“Oh how…nice of you?” pastry said confused
“Don’t mention it.” Kuromi said as she let herself in.
She started unpacking Pastry's stuff and Pastry joined her after she processed what happened.
“So I overheard you and kitty talking about…mr.red” she said while unpacking Pastry’s clothes.
“Yeah, what a horrible thing to happen to this town.” pastry said with sorrow in her eyes.
“Yeah, but I am worried about them. I mean you can’t stay inside a giant mansion forever you NEED food, and they have never stepped out of that house in years.” Kuromi said with a puzzled look on her face,
“I need to know what is going on in there, what if they are planning something? What if someone is sneaking them supplies? Like a traitor?” Kuromi started shaking a little. She looked down at her hands and took a steadying breath
“I am sorry, it just doesn't make any sense,” Kuromi said. She felt Pastry wrap her arms around her in a hug.
“I am so sorry that you have to live like this.” pastry said as she hugged kuromi.
“Well it’s ok, we finished unpacking anyway so I can go.” she said as she stood up and opened the door.
“Goodbye!” pastry called out.
“Goodbye,” Kuromi yelled back as she walked out of the house.
