He walked to the bedroom, heart getting heavier with each step. A step closer and the door was a mere touch away. With an unsteady but firm grip he opened the door, letting both men inside. Keeping the door ajar, Marik swiftly made his way to the bed before sitting down upon it. The other male, none other than Bakura, stood in the middle of the bedroom. Marik looked at the thief with patient lavender eyes, "Are you ready?" Bakura felt his hands twitch in excitement, he'd been waiting for this forever. So, with a quick nod he said, "Yes."
This situation had come to terms by the tomb keeper finally deciding it was time to share his deepest secret. His back. He had owed the thief this for a very long time and now that the two men were near each other again finally after so long this must be the time and place. Ofcourse it would have been done sooner, but the tomb keeper didn't feel safe about having his back out to the open for all to see. Bakura was no different either, but he had also made the paler man the promise of seeing knowing his secret once he helped him with his plan. The plan hadn't gone too well as his darker side defeated and vanquished them both into the shadows. Although that was just another reason to show the male his secret. This damn secret.
Bakura felt his eyes dart to the falling purple tank that slipped from Marik's hand as he took it off. He didn't know what to truly expect from this mysterious boy he had met. A part of him figured it would be something so stupid. He was vastly proven wrong once the Egyptian turned ever so slowly to show his back. His back...not smooth nor what suited to be normal in this day and age. While others had tattoos or a deformity on their skin, this was different. Marik's back had a scar, old of age and grooved deep into his skin. So, this is what the bronze boy shared with the pharaoh when he had won against his dark half. The pharaoh hadn't had the slightest clue to what it meant that day. Bakura tilted his head, what did it mean anyways? He didn't know. All he did know was the ancient scriptures on the others back would help him in his quest. Defeating the pharaoh, he had to do it to avenge those back in Kul Elna. He would make sure if it. The Egyptian sighed and looked over his shoulder at the thief, his eyes were wide and full of shock. His eyes showed another emotion though, understanding as well as sadness. He realized the male felt bad that he had to endure this damn honor of the pharaoh. Marik let his eyes roam downward to the grey floor while the thief sat beside him. He felt a hand on his shoulder, "Was this some sort of initiation..?" Marik nodded slowly before opening his rough lips to share the tale of how he has received these unnatural scars.
Once he told all of his story he felt the others pale arms wrap around him to comfort him. Soon he felt so tired, sharing so much of himself made him feel exhausted. He placed a hand on the thief's own shoulder and yawned. He laid down on the bed and smiled lazily at the male. Bakura walked out of the room with one more glimpse at the now resting Egyptian. What a night, he thought with a more firm respect for the other male he called his only trusted friend.
