Chapter Text
Amelia lets out a sigh of relief as she drags the blade across her skin. The blood drips down her calf. She watches carefully making sure that none of the blood drips onto any of her sheets. Once the blood starts to dry she slowly drags the thin razor blade just under the previous cut. Once the blood starts coming out she hears foot steps coming down the hallway. For a brief minute she forgets whether or not she locked the door. Luckily she doesn't have to find out as the footsteps pass her room and go into the bedroom of Amity. Once the bleeding ceases for that cut, she walks over to the door to make sure it's locked. It wasn't.
Amelia sits down on her bed and wonders if she should just stop for the night. She eventually (much quicker than she'd admit) comes to the conclusion she couldn't stop now, as only two cuts have been made. The second cut, just like the first, starts to scab. Amelia then makes another, longer, cut just under the scabbing cut. She hears a burst of laughter downstairs in what sounds like the living room. Probably just Emira and Edric watching those funny cat videos again. She needs to spend some time with them later, she notes. She is brought out of her thoughts by the feeling of pain fading from her leg.
Just like that, a fourth cut is made, this one deeper than the others. She swings her leg off her bed and over the hardwood floor of her room. That was a close one, almost had to get some blood out of her green comforter. If Odalia found out she might have a hard time explaining how she got a second period that month. While she tried to come up with excuses in case some blood did get on her sheets, the blood continued to come out of the wound, and later dry. While cutting her calf for the fifth time that night a knock at her door made her jump and drag the razor blade over the fresh scabs of the other cuts. The cuts then proceeded to bleed like they were fresh (well fresh as in just cut five seconds ago).
"Hey Amelia mom says dinner is ready!" Amelia hears Edric say from the other side of the door.
"I'll be down in a minute!" She says hoping she doesn't sound as scared as she actually is.
Once Edric walks off Amelia takes a tissue from the side of her bed, folds it, and tries to put pressure on all of the cuts at once. When they stop bleeding, Amelia rolls her sock back over her leg and then goes to dinner like nothing happened.
