If nobody realized Nagi was avoiding Chigiri before (everyone knew), they definitely realized it now. The very one to recognize it in the first place was Chigiri himself, and that was before the party.
“Oh my God he hates me.” Chigiri falls onto the bed and groans into a pillow that belonged to his couch. It’s been a week since Ryuusei’s infamous party and a week since Chigiri has seen and spoken to Nagi.
Kunigami chuckles from the opposite side of the couch. “Well yeah, you practically jumped him.”
“Not practically, did.” Isagi adds as he walks into the living room. Chigiri was currently having a crisis and decided that he needed another mouth of opinion who wasn’t Kunigami, but it seems like he was starting to regret that decision.
“Isagi!” Chigiri whines.
He raises his hands in defense. “Hey, I’m just trying to decipher the situation. You were the one who said Nagi ran away after you kissed him. Do you know how he felt about it?” Isagi asks.
Chigiri scoffs and rolls his eyes. “Like you don’t already know. You are attached to the side of his hip next to Reo, Nagi probably told you everything by now.”
“Yeahh… you’re not wrong. Nagi told me most of it. Or should I say… Seishiro told me most of it .” Isagi says with a cackle which makes Chigiri turn a bright red.
“He—he told you about that?” Chigiri shrieks. “What else did he say?”
Isagi nods his head. “Uh-uh, I would be breaking bro code.”
“I knew you before Nagi did! Doesn’t that grant me special “bro”-privileges or something?” The pink head asks.
Kunigami laughs again. “I don’t think that’s how it works Chi.”
“Ughhhhh.” Chigiri moaned. “I need to talk to him, but what will I even say?” He lifts his hands up dramatically as if an answer will come falling out of the sky.
“Maybe you could start with why you kissed him in the first place.” Kunigami suggests.
“Because I missed him.” Chigiri replies as if that was the clearest answer ever.
Kunigami and Isagi blink dumbly at him, look at one another, and then back at Chigiri.
“Uh… I miss my friends all the time too but that doesn’t mean I want to kiss them.” Kunigami says.
“Yeah I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work like that.” Isagi adds.
“No! Not like just a friend way. More like, I miss being around him, I miss talking to him about random things and him looking at me like I’m the most important person in the world. I miss listening to him tell me about the new games he bought, I miss his company, everything about him, and I just wanted to show him how much I did and that was the only way I knew how.”
Chigiri says. “God, I was rambling wasn’t I?” He asks, now blushing.
Isagi looks at Kunigami like they know something Chigiri doesn’t, and then turned his direction back to Chigiri. “Just a little bit.”
“Chigiri…” Kunigami says slowly. “…Are you in love with Nagi?”
“What?!” Chigiri yelps. “I-- um-- what?!” He repeats.
“I’m just saying, the way you’re talking about him it seems like it…”
“I’m not in love with him. I think I can be eventually… but not if I don’t fix this.” Chigiri exhales. “That’s why I need you guys, help, you in?”
Kunigami and Isagi exchange one last look before looking back at Chigiri.
“We’re in.”

“Reo for the last time I’m not doing this. Last time you forced me to go somewhere, I got my heartbroken.”
Reo rolls his eyes. “You’re only heartbroken because you won’t talk to him. For Chirst’s sakes, he kissed you! That has to mean something right?”
“Wrong.” Nagi says. “He was drunk and not in the right state of mind. The kiss probably meant nothing to him.”
“You won’t know that if you don’t talk to him.” Reo retaliates.
“Drop it Reo.” Nagi says sternly.
“Fine. But that doesn’t excuse why you won’t go on this blind date. Don’t you think you need to try and move on if you’re not going to talk to him?”
“Cause I need time to heal Reo. We all can’t have perfect love stories like you.”
Reo takes a deep breath. “Okay, I get it, you’re upset. It’s understandable, but as your best friend, I really think you should do this. Just this one time, please? If you hate it, then you don’t have to do it again I promise.”
“I’ll go if you do laundry for the next two months.” Nagi smirks.
Reo’s smile drops. “Are you serious?”
“Dead serious.” Nagi confirms.
“Ughhh.” Reo groans. “Fine.”
xx
Nagi makes a note to himself that he should stop trusting Reo with things that can cause him embarrassment in the future. Why one may ask? Because currently Nagi is sitting in the middle of a café at 7:10 pm when this so called blind date was supposed to happen at 7. To top it off, Reo took the car so Nagi couldn’t leave early either so now he’s just stuck here looking like an idiot with a dead phone while eating a croissant… alone.
‘Fuck this.’ Nagi thinks. He stands up getting ready to leave. I mean, the drive was only 7 minutes, which the walk home would be around 30 minutes. That wasn’t so bad, an inconvenience, yes, but feasible.
He exits out the building and turns to the left to go home when he hears a “WAIT!” from behind him.
When Nagi turned around, his jaw almost dropped to the floor when he saw Chigiri hunched over trying to catch up to him.
“Hold on… just… give me a second.” He said between breaths. He then shoots back up. “Okay!” He clasps his hand together. “I need to talk to you.
Nagi looks away awkwardly. “Um, I’m actually leaving from a date, but I’ll catch you later.” Nagi begins to turn around but feels a grasp on his arm.
“I know, I’m the person you’re on a blind date with…” He says and Nagi freezes.
What the hell?
“What are you talking about?” Nagi exhasperates. He can feel his throat closing up.
“I made a plan with Kunigami and Isagi, we asked Reo to set this up. I’m sorry for lying to you but it’s the only way I could talk to you!”
Nagi pinches the bridge of his nose. “So not only did you trick me into a fake-date, but you’re late to said fake-date as well.”
Chigiri takes one step forward to Nagi but still looks away sheepishly. “Who said it was fake?” He mutters while twiddling with his finger.
‘Okay WHAT.’
“And I was late because I wanted to look nice, but I’m still sorry for that.”
Not fake? Look nice? What the hell is going on?
Nagi was at a lost of words but miraculously was able to form the sentence: “I-it’s okay.”
Chigiri’s eyes lit up. “Great! Then follow me.” He drags Nagi back into the café and sits him down.
“So…” Nagi says finally, still trying to process what’s happening.
“Sorry!” Chigiri shouts which surprises Nagi. “I’m sorry for kissing you at the party. You were taking care of me and I wasn’t thinking straight and took advantage of that.”
‘So it was because he was drunk’.
Chigiri continues. “I should have asked you if you wanted to before, and I shouldn’t have been drunk for it in the first place, but I didn’t know if I’d have the courage to do something like that sober.”
‘Wait-- huh?’ Nagi says internally. “Hold on. Chigiri, what are you trying to say?”
“I’m trying to say that I really like you Nagi. And I didn’t know how to tell you then so I thought I’d show you when I really ended up making things worse. I’m not asking you to return my feelings or anything, but can you forgive me?”
Nagi couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Never did he imagine that coming on this supposedly “blind date” would lead to… this.
“I think I can do you one better.” Nagi says as he stands up and walks across the table, now in front of Chigiri. Chigiri looks up and the man standing in front of him as Nagi bends down and brings his hands to cup Chigiri’s face before bringing him into a kiss. Chigiri makes a surprised gasp but soons closes his eyes and wraps his arms around Nagi’s neck. They could both agree that this was way better than the first time they kissed. Once they broke away, Chigiri stood up and leaned in again. He gripped Nagi’s shoulder’s to deepen the kiss. He felt like his nerves were exploding all over because if the kiss. It was sweet and gentle, and Chigiri could taste the coffee on Nagi’s mouth that he must’ve had before he got there. He was grateful the cafe was near closing time so nobody was watching them kiss in the middle of it. They broke away again with both of their faces flushed.
A smile smile tugged on Chigiri’s lips “Does this mean I’m forgiven?” he asks and Nagi rolls his eyes playfully before planting a light peck on Chigiri’s lips.
“Yeah,” he laughs breathlessly. “It definitely does.” He says as he takes Chigiri’s hand into his.
