The archon of Inazuma was sat in their bedchamber, getting ready to fall into a deep slumber.
She was in her bed, a light novel in her hands, the only light in their room was a small bedside lamp. It was peaceful, all was well. The light novel she had was one of Mikos, she always loved her beloveds writing, having a little bit of Miko with her before she went to bed was very nice, it helped ease any worries they had. Ei did feel loneliness due to the priestesses absence, but Miko was probably already asleep, she had early mornings most days so it was no surprise that she would go to bed a little earlier.
Ei sighed heavily , her heart longed for Miko, she longed to hold her pretty girl on her arms. She shook her head, shaking the thought of her fox from her mind as they laid her head down on her pillow, closing her eyes. It didn't take her long to fall asleep, doing the duties of an archon daily is tiring, slumber is an escape from the tasking duties of an archon.
It was well into the night, the land of Inazuma was plunged into the darkness of nightfall. Raiden Ei was peacefully sleeping, along with the rest of Inzuma...Apart from one.
There was a little pink fox making her way to the Tenshukaku. Miko couldn't sleep, she didn't know why, she just couldn't..maybe it was the lack of scratches behind her ears . She knew her beloved archon would help her, they always did. The small fox quickly padded her way to Ei's humble abode, her legs may be little, but she was very quick on her feet or well..paws.. whenever she needed to be. The priestess made it to the Tenshukaku in no time.
Miko nudged her way through the doors until she reached Ei's bedchamber, pushing the door open with her paws. The foxes heart filled with joy as she saw her beloved archon sleeping, she looked to peaceful and ever so beautiful. She jumped up onto the bed (almost falling due to how tiny she was), Ei stirred slightly, furrowing her brows, the fox padded over to her. Ei was sleeping on her sides, hands up next to their face, Miko sat just beside her face, her pink fluffy tail resting over Eis wrist. She pawed at Eis face gingerly, trying to wake her up. Eventually Ei woke up, eyes fluttering open to meet Mikos, it took them a few seconds to recognise who was sat between her arms. She then smiled,
"Hello, my dear fox, what brings you here at such an hour?" Ei sat up slightly, allowing Miko to cuddle further into her..Miko of course chose to lay next to Ei's boobs, her head resting on the archons wrist. The fox let out a huff in respond to her question, Ei knew exactly what she meant, she chuckled, her other hand went to go scratch behind Mikos ears, they knew how much Miko loved that. After a little while the archon spoke again, "Is there anything troubling you, darling?" The priestess thought for a moment before shaking her head, she didn't think there was anything in particular that was wrong, tonight she just felt the need to be pampered and fawned over..Well..She felt like that a lot honestly, who could blame her though.
The Archon enjoyed snuggling with Yae while she was in this form, it felt so close..so warm..so safe. Ei was the only one that was permitted to be able to see Miko in her fox form, only her beloved Ei could see her like this. It's not like she was vulnerable, she has her much bigger Kirsten form, but this specific one wasn't capable of doing much harm..Yae often used it if she wanted snuggles, getting pet, sleeping or sneaking around the Tenshukaku when Ei wasn’t aware she was there. Cuddling with Ei like this felt so nice, the archon knew exactly were to scratch or pet her, her tail couldn't help but wag.
The fox let out a yawn, a small squeak was let out of her mouth as she did so. Ei has to resist the temptation of gushing over how cute she was, oh archons..what a difficult task that was. Miko tucked her face in her paws, letting out a content sigh. She was finally ready to sleep, feeling the tiredness suddenly hit her like a wave, it came on so suddenly..Ei was responsible for this, curse her sweet words and skilled hands. The archon giggled, “Ahh Miko…You’re so cute when you’re tired like this.” her free hand going to pet the foxes back, this only caused Miki to relax more…despite the earlier comment, she chose to ignore that however. Ei could be reprimanded for that later(I.E Being bitten) Miko we too tired to do anything about it in her current state anyway, too sleepy…
Ei was also getting rather tired, laying their head back down on her pillow, holding miko close to her body. The small fox was so warm and fluffy, Ei enjoyed watching her whiskers twitch at even the slightest of movements, it was so adorable to watch Mikos reactions to things while she was like this.
There was no particular reason Miko chose this form for this, she would of benefited the same amount if she was in her humanoid form, but there was such an urge to curl up in Ei's arms and just be held and cuddles while she was like this. The feeling of her fur getting pet was absolutely amazing. She could also hear Ei's heart beat...It sounded soothing, the gentle beating of her heart was strangely sweet. Despite being an eternal God, Ei’s heart still beat the same, it was calming..relaxing is a good way to put it, being so small help her be closer to Eis heart, both figuratively and literally.
Eventually they both succumbed to tiredness and drifted off into a peaceful sleep, all was well. Mikos tiny body rose and fell as she breathed, still securely tucked in the archons arms, face hidden in her tiny little paws. Ei slept with a smile on their face, the sleeping fox in her arms also had a similar smile. They were both so content, so at ease so peaceful. They always helped each other sleep, they both knew how important they were to one another, this being one of the many reasons that solidified that fact.
The two of them slept until the late hours of the morning, spending that time together and enjoying each other's company, how sweet.
