Chapter Text
Hongjoong needed to step away from his work for a minute. He had been staring at numbers so long they had started to blur together, he wouldn't accomplish anything like that. He peeked into the office next to him to see if the Sales Director was available, but when he saw he was on the phone he decided to just go to the breakroom and grab a coffee.
The breakroom on their floor is fairly small, but well stocked. They had snacks available for the employees and various flavors of gourmet coffee for everyone's enjoyment. When Hongjoong enters the breakroom it is not empty. One of Hongjoong's marketing employees and one of the sales employees are seated clearly in a heated debate.
"Good morning Wooyoung, good morning San," Hongjoong greets as he makes his way over to the coffee machine.
"Hongjoong, hello, you are just in time to settle a debate," Wooyoung's loud voice announces.
Hongjoong shook his head fondly before turning to humor the boy. "Oh? What's the debate?"
"I think Seonghwa is married," Wooyoung states, "And Sannie is under the impression that someone that gorgeous would be alone living the single life."
"Seonghwa seems like someone that would be out at clubs on the weekend," San defends, "Someone that pretty doesn't just tie themselves down like that."
"You are close with Seonghwa, aren't you?" Wooyoung asks.
"You could say that," Hongjoong nods, highly amused by the conversation.
"Do you know if he is married?" Wooyoung asks.
"I do," Hongjoong nods again.
"Well?" Wooyoung asks, "Are you going to tell us?"
"Nope," Hongjoong smirks, grabbing the two cups of coffee he had been making.
"Come on," Wooyoung whines.
"It's not good to gossip about your coworkers Youngie," Hongjoong scolds teasingly.
"What about you?" San asks, "Are you married?"
"Maybe," Hongjoong smirks walking towards the door, "Have a nice day."
Hongjoong can't stop giggling as he walks towards the back offices. He peeks inside the sales directors office and notices he is no longer on the phone so he just walks in.
Seonghwa looks up from his work to scold whoever was intruding for not knocking, but let out a sigh when he saw who it was.
"Rough call?" Hongjoong asks.
"Terrible actually," Seonghwa groans, "My worst account."
"I brought you a coffee," Hongjoong smiles, placing the cup in front of the sales director. "I also just had a conversation that I think will make you laugh."
"Oh?"
"Wooyoung and San were having a debate in the breakroom and decided to drag me into it."
"What was the debate?"
"Whether or not you are married," Hongjoong smirks, "They asked me if I knew and if I could tell them."
"What did you say?"
"I told them that yes I did know your marital status, but that I wouldn't tell them," Hongjoong laughs, "I refused to tell them mine either."
"You are encouraging their chaos," Seonghwa smiles fondly.
"Not my fault they can't figure out that we are both in fact married to each other," Hongjoong shrugs, "it's not like we are hiding it."
"Seriously," Seonghwa laughs, "I mean we aren't making out in the hallways, but we aren't hiding it either."
"We could make out in the hallways," Hongjoong wiggled his eyes suggestively, "Put on a show for them so there are no questions."
"Don't you have work to do?" Seonghwa groans, "Get out of my office you heathen."
"You're no fun Hwa," Hongjoong laughs as he leaves the office, "See you for lunch."
Seonghwa shakes his head fondly at the Marketing Directors antics. He loves that man so much.
