Marinette turned and looked up at the man who had found his way into her heart. A heart that fluttered at the sight of him. That cried out to touch him.
He was staring at her with eyes he had only ever held for Ladybug. It overwhelmed her to see him like that. Eyes for Marinette. Eyes for the girl who tripped and fumbled with her words.
Reaching out, Chat pulled her closer, resting his hand upon her cheek. A gentle caress–leather upon her skin. She wanted to feel the warmth of his hands.
“Marinette…” He breathed, and she felt her chest twist with anticipation. “May I…may I kiss you?”
She was drowning in his eyes. “Y-yes.” Her eyes drifted close, her other senses taking over. When had her hand found the back of his neck?
Chat leaned in, ghosting her lips with his own, testing to see if this was really what she wanted. Oh, how she wanted it. Wanted him. The kiss was too short, too soft. He must have thought the same. After a brief pause, he dove in and took her lips again, claimed them and leaving her breathless.
Marinette sighed softly as he pulled away. Mint. He tasted like mint.
