Chapter Text
When Sophie was only five years old, she was taken from her home. It was Christmas night and her family was having a big party. Sophie's parents always host a Christmas party for all there friends and family. There house was really big. Sophie was in her room playing with her doll house with her older brother. That’s when it happened men, soldiers, barged in, breaking the doors down. Shooting whomever came in their way. Those men that day knew what they were doing; they knew their mission was to find the girl, Sophie. When the shots fired, Sophie's brother ran to her, picking her up and placing her in the closet. By the time he had put her down, he noticed that she had been sobbing.
Crouching down he said “Be quiet so that they don’t hear you,” giving her a big hug he ran to the other side of the room to lock the door then went to hide under the bed himself.
Sophie was in the closet still crying and looking under the closet door to see if they were there. She saw a lot of shoes going all towards her bedroom door. That when there was a loud banging on the door and a crashing sound. The last thing Sophie remembered was someone opening the closet door and getting hit on the head and then everything went black.
Death, she didn’t intend to live. From the moment she was taken from her home. Sophie intended to join her family. Now she lies next to a wall riddled with lines of how many days the people before her were there. And where she will soon do the same thing. People she didn’t know who also probably wanted to be dead as well. She felt numb as she walked around the small room which was more like a prison cell. She could feel the eyes that were looking at her through the camera. On the first day she was taken, she was scared of what they could do. Scared of being alone. But soon she wasn’t alone; she met a girl who was just a year younger than her and will soon be the girl of her dreams, the one she came to love, obsessed with.
Wanda Maximoff was her name. She had short brown hair and it was a little red. They were the best of friends. They kept each other company when they were scared, and cared for each other when they were hurt or just sad. Sophie and Wanda both talked about their brothers and how they were both really annoying. Whenever one of the guards came to get them they would yell and fight as best as they could. But one day when they took Wanda she never came back and she was all alone again. All by herself just like every time in her life the people she cared about were taken away just like her parents. She tried her hardest to survive the experiments they would do on her but now all by herself just like the first time she came here.
When she was ten years old, she finally gained powers and that’s when she was told why she was taken and who took her, Hydra. She was told that her parents owed them some money to hydra and could not pay so she was the payment. Sophie was upset that her parents gave her away but she still loved them because they were the ones to care for her when she was sad. Sophie's powers were that of fire and she could not control them. When she first learned that she had powers it was extremely painful her whole body burned from the inside out with the feeling of an explosion constantly going off. But her powers were also tremendously difficult to control. It took her months to learn how to use her powers. In doing so she hurt a lot of doctors and some of the soldiers who were there teaching her to use her new abilities. Her powers were so complex that she can do things like making the whole house burn down to as simple as lighting a candle with her pinky finger.
As she became older Hydra would start to forget about her like they had someone better than her. She would ask the guards if there was anyone else who survived but they would never respond. Unlike her some people actually volunteered to get experimented on. When she was 15 years old, her life got somewhat better. They gave her a room that was five feet bigger but Sophie was grateful and they gave her things to hang up on the wall. She mostly just hung up photos of Wanda because when she was fourteen she found out she was alive and not dead like she had previously thought. She saw her on the TV fighting with the avengers. So when she was 15, she got her first mission which was to get Wanda back and she was so ready to do that.
