Molly always wanted a big family.
She and her husband were overjoyed when their first child was born a girl. she had always dreamed of taking care of a daughter. She held the newborn in her arms and decided that she already loved motherhood.
A year later, another little bundle of joy arrived. This time it was a boy, with bright red hair like everybody in the family was bound to have.
A third child entered their life, and then a fourth and a fifth. Molly continued to love being a mother to her new family.
It was certainly a surprise when one morning, after a night of increasingly fussy twins, her firstborn child, just over 5 years old, made the announcement that he was a boy.
Molly saw her hopes of having a daughter crushed in that moment. Sure, her firstborn wasn't always the most feminine, but Bella was supposed to be her daughter in a family of sons.
But she saw the look on the child's face, the fear of rejection but also the pride in his own bravery, and she couldn't carry on thinking of the little boy in front of her as her daughter anymore.
So Bella became Bill, and through the years, the family kept growing.
A couple years after Bill came out, a new little bundle of joy joined their family, another brother. Then came another, this time a sister.
Molly wanted a daughter, and she got one.
Ginny grew up loved and cared for, for she was Molly's only daughter.
Anyone who dared to point out the assigned gender of her firstborn child would be hexed by any and all Weaselys in their proximity.
