Work Text:
Light softly begins to shine in your eyes and you huff out a breath, still feeling the grogginess of sleep. You turn over to face away from the light, bumping into a warm chest. Opening your eyes, you see Silco still next to you; realizing he slept in today. You smile as Silco slightly shifts in his sleep. You slowly tuck yourself into his body— his chin right above your head.
The faint smell of cigars has become your comfort and favorite smell, always reminding you of Silco.
As you drift, you feel an arm wrap around your torso and pull you in closer. “Morning, my lovely.” His voice is deeper and more gravely from sleep, which enchants you more.
“Decided to skip work today?” You giggle and his lips rest against your forehead.
“I am the leader of this rebellion, I can decide when I want to spend time with my little dove.” A blush begins to smolder on your cheeks and nose, he gives a quick chuckle as he feels your skin grow hot. “Besides, I needed the extra rest.”
“Exactly, seniors need to catch up on sleep.” Silco opens his good eye to give a playful glare.
“I am stronger than you, I will leave you here with no blanket to keep you warm.”
“Very cold hearted, sir, how dare you threaten me like that!” You dramatically do a “woe is me” pose causing you both to chuckle. He lies on his back so he can have you rest on his chest; his heartbeat beginning to lull you back into a sleepy state. A moment of comfortable silence graces the both of you, and you smile softly. “I missed this, and I missed being around you.”
“I missed you too, Silco.”
You both begin to softly snore as Silco holds you like a teddy bear.
He needs to do this more.
