Colette smiled and shook her head as she saw Gallowglass waiting outside of the building she had her final lecture of the day. She always could spot him, not just because of her magic, but the Scotsman had red hair and was over six feet. Somehow his vampirism was his most subtle feature.
"Hello." She smiled when she approached him. He kissed her hand dramatically.
"Hiya. Want to go for a ride?" He asked, holding up his spare helmet.
He was always doing this. Gallowglass was never one to stay in one place. He couldn't. But since he met Colette, he'd stay in England and whisk her off to wherever.
"Where?" She asked.
"Wherever." He grinned and she took the helmet, tying up her hair before putting it on her head and holding onto the vampire with ease.
"How are you doing?"
"I'm fine."
They were sat in a park in Headington, on a hill, alone. Colette is eating from a cone of chips and Gallowglass is watching her with interest.
"Fine?" Gallowglass asked curiously, "Since when do we do fine?"
"I am fine. That's it. Just typing up my dissertation, still going to lectures. Emily helps me with my powers." Colette shrugged.
Gallowglass gently gripped her chin so she's looking at him and she pouted, "Don't be sad for me, Eric. I don't like you sad." His green eyes were full of worry.
"I don't like you sad." He replied, "It's okay to miss your grandmother."
Colette smiled, "I know." She took another chip from the cone and ate it.
"Do you wish that you could eat chips?" She asked curiously, waving one in his face.
"No, because unfortunately, I can smell what went into that oil." Gallowglass laughed.
"Try it."
"You're awful," He dodged it, trying not to inhale it.
"Just try." She poked his closed mouth and laughed when he kept it closed.
"You're awful to me, Sassenach," Gallowglass teased.
"I am not a sassenach!" She protested, "I have lived in Scotland since I was sixteen. I speak fluent Scots."
"Stop trying to make me eat factory processed oil and I won't insult you."
She lay her head on his shoulder, and his arm wrapped around her automatically as they watched the sunset.
"Stay over," Gallowglass asked, "With me."
"I don't have a toothbrush." She kissed him. That was always her reply.
Colette shook her head, "You can't say things like that!" He laughed and kissed her shoulder,
On a Saturday, he woke her up at seven am, and took her into the Cotswalds, where they were walking around in the hills and town, sometimes guessing the lives of strangers without using their respective abilities.
"I like saying things that have your blood rushing and make you laugh," Gallowglass replied, "It's my favourite sound."
Colette walked along the small river, hoping on the stones. She just loved being in nature and she ran her hand in the water, using witch wind to animate the water more.
"You always so beautiful when you use your magic," He said, stroking her cheek gently, "You just light up,"
"Eric." She said seriously.
"What's the matter?" She shifted slightly.
"I've never had sex before!" Colette blurted out, "That's why I can't stay with you!"
"And?"
"And?" They're looking at each other. Gallowglass slightly amused.
"I don't ask you to stay over because I want to have sex with you," He assured her, "I ask you to stay because I like having you close," He pulled her back to him to make his point.
"Whenever you are ready," Gallowglass promised sincerely.
"Also, I don't have a toothbrush," She said, "I can't stay over if I didn't bring a toothbrush,"
"That your only concern?" He teased, rubbing his nose against hers. She grinned.
"Yes."
It was late when he dropped her off at Matthew and Diana's.
"Matthew's waiting up for you," Gallowglass whispered with a smirk.
Matthew was sitting in the living room, the room dimly lit by one of the lamps he had switched on.
"Technically, Eric kidnapped me." Colette said sheepishly, "So you can't be too upset."
"Very funny." Matthew said dryly, but there was a small smile on his face, "Next time, a text, please." She may be an adult, but she was still young and her powers were mainly passive.
"Colette, sweetie, can you get that?" Diana asked when the door rang.
The family were holding a dinner. Sarah and Emily had flown in, Janet and her husband had come, Marcus, Miriam. But Gallowglass had an assignment, so he couldn't make it. She hadn't seen him for three weeks.
"No, Colette can get it." Matthew insisted and she shrugged at Marcus before going to the door.
Colette straightened out her dress, opening the door. Perhaps it was Baldwin.
She didn't expect to see Gallowglass smiling.
"You came," She said, astonished, "I thought Baldwin asked you..." Gallowglass lifted her into a hug and she held on to him.
"I may have told a wee lie to surprise you," He said, kissing her cheek and putting her down, closing the door behind him.
"Can I stay with you?" Colette asked out of the blue afterwards. Gallowglass grinned.
"Always." He said, "I'm heading back into London."
"I want to..." She kissed him, gently, hesitantly but she hopes he understands.
And he does.
Gallowglass wraps his arms around her, deepening the kiss, almost forgetting he was in the hallway of his uncle's house.
There is a difference when she holding onto him on his bike.
She likes his flat, in that despite Gallowglass' ruggedness he was old money and enjoyed comfort and space.
Gallowglass can feel her trembles as he rubs her bare arms, but can feel her blood rushing, her arousal and is very glad she wore a dress, no matter how pretty she looks.
"I'm not nervous, just more excited." She assured him, "And a little nervous," Colette leaned up and kissed him.
He takes her to bed with a gentleness that only she would experience.
She gasped and held onto the pillows beneath her as she felt his tongue part her folds, his beard scratching at her thighs. The air is thick with magic as she climaxes, one of the most beautiful sights Gallowglass believes he's ever seen.
"You okay?" He asked, she nodded and stroked his cheek gently. She whined when he opened her up with a finger, the thick digit easily
He inhales her scent. Her blood and magic were electrifying. If he wasn't what he was, every hair on his body would be standing.
"E-Eric," She brokenly moans, her nails digging into his back. She's scratching at him, streaks of magic that quickly disappear
"I've got you, love," He whispered, feeling her tightening around him. She was gasping as he moved a hand to her clit and she shakes around him. He doesn't last after that, how could her and they hold each other close, kissing and whispering terms of affection.
Colette's pointer finger runs across his face, tracing from his forehead, down to his lips and his trimmed beard. Her Gallowglass.
"mo ghràdh," He whispered as he held her in his arms.
"I love you too," She whispered back.
The next morning, Colette wakes up, enjoying the early morning sun streaking through the small gap between the dark curtains. She was glad that she didn't have classes because three rounds of sex before she tapped out and there is an aching between her legs that she knew would have made it difficult to walk around.
She put on the t-shirt he was wearing yesterday and finds Gallowglass in the kitchen, making her a full Scottish breakfast.
"Good morning," He greeted, smirking at the way she was walking. She wrapped her arms around him and they stood in a comfortable silence as the radio in the background played the news and weather. Gallowglass leaned down to kiss her, but Colette stopped him.
"I don't have a toothbrush," She pointed out.
He clicked his fingers, and he pulled out a basket from a cupboard. A basket was full of packaged toothbrushes. They both laugh, and she places her head on his chest hugging him.
"Keep a few across your bags." He said, "For the next time I kidnap you."
