- Dazai has hypersensitive skin so he can’t wear certain types of clothes without feeling uncomfortable. He hides this from people because he believes it makes him weak. However, Chuuya finds out and takes Dazai shopping to get him clothes that aren't uncomfortable for him, telling him that it doesn’t make him weak or any less human.
- Dazai tends to get cold easily, even in the summer. So naturally, Chuuya brings a sweater with him whenever they go out somewhere.
- Dazai tends to have nightmares and tries to avoid sleeping as much as possible, leading to him developing insomnia. Whenever he manages to fall asleep, he’ll wake up in the middle of the night, shaking and breathing heavily. Chuuya wakes up as well because of the movement, and immediately comforts him, since he dealt with the exact same thing when they were both in the PM.
- Chuuya isn’t very affectionate in public so when he holds Dazai’s hand or gives him a short kiss, Dazai knows to just shut up and enjoy the rare moment with his partner.
- When Dazai is in a bad mood, he’ll mumble things he hates about himself and sometimes Chuuya overhears. Chuuya then sneaks up behind him and whispers things he loves about Dazai, making him flustered with the amount of nice things Chuuya says about him.
- Dazai doesn’t eat much because he thinks “he doesn’t deserve it” and Chuuya gives him small amounts of food and over time, he makes the portions bigger to help Dazai get into normal eating habits. He doesn’t force him to eat much, just as long he at least eats.
- Despite contrary belief, Dazai can in fact cook extremely well. He just doesn’t do it too often because he loves Chuuya’s cooking. Chuuya loves it when Dazai cooks and when he does, he often makes Dazai cook a larger amount so he can take some food to work the next day. (But he says that he just doesn’t want to cook)
- On their 3rd Anniversary, Dazai wanted to make very special so he learned how to play the violin AND wrote a song made especially for Chuuya (Now, they play that song every Anniversary :D)
- Soukoku often try to make everything a contest. Showering? Yup. Getting ready? Yeah. You could name any one thing and they often will make it a contest.
- Whenever Chuuya is feeling overworked, Dazai will give Chuuya head pats to help him relax and it always works.
- Dazai can be a little shit and Chuuya gets annoyed from his antics easily BUT he never crosses the boundaries set up by Dazai in fear of making him uncomfortable.
- The two both have pet names for each other. Dazai gets very flustered easily by the pet names while Chuuya only gets slightly flustered.
- Soukoku got together when they were 16 after Chuuya had used corruption and gotten injured badly because Dazai couldn’t get to him any faster. Chuuya passed out while Dazai took care of him and waited for hours for him to wake up. Dazai was super worried and when Chuuya woke up, Dazai kissed him. After some talking, they had a shy kiss.
- Dazai wears fake glasses because…why not?
- When Chuuya first saw him wear glasses, he blushed and was distracted by how cute Dazai looked in glasses that he walked into a wall.
- Whenever Chuuya is working on something late at night, Dazai will give him a kiss on the forehead and a cup of tea before heading to try and sleep (because Chuuya definitely threatened him to go to sleep-)
- Sometimes Chuuya can’t keep himself awake long enough to do paperwork so Dazai will be up until 3 or 4 am doing Chuuya’s work. Chuuya will try to get him to stop but Dazai just responds with “You need a break too and plus, I’m not going to let you do all this work. I can be helpful too, Chibi!” (Chuuya gets mad at the nickname but he lets it slide since he’s too focused on getting his makarel to sleep.)
