Chapter Text
Loud splashing noises filled the silent room. A long cloud of hot steam swirled around. The door was closed, blocking a thick smoke from leaving the bathroom, so it became harder to breathe every minute.
The bathtub was filled to the top and the water was flowing to the navy blue tiles, however, the teenage girl sitting inside, covered by the water to her chest, didn't seem to mind as she was staring blankly into the space.
Her eyes were panicked, pupils dilated and shining with a dark fright. Each dark thought she had harbored in her soul was exposed. They were glazed with the unshed tears that ran down her pale skin and cheeks. Her pink lips trembled as she hugged herself, fingers white from the pressure she was applying.
Her soaked clothes stuck to her body, perfectly drawing the outlines of each of her curves. Her long, perfect red hair floated in the water, some wet strands, glued to her neck and face, giving her skin small red tints. Her muscles trembled, despite the burning hot water she's sitting in, and her fragile lips moved faintly, forebodingly whispering ghost-like words and causing them to constantly scatter into the air.
"I'm not strong enough. I'm not strong enough"
Her mind was sunk in darkness, dangerous voices screaming at her. Then she slowly started to lower herself in the bathtub, tears still trembling in her indecisive eyes, making her azure coloured orbs shine under the lights.
After the last heartbreaking words she took a series of shaky, shallow breaths, her quivering lips slowly disappearing under the surface of the water, her eyes still open, blurred by the hot liquid floating above them.
Her breaths ceased. A cruel feeling of suffocation started filling her lungs instead as they desperately craved oxygen. She could hear the rough pounds of her own heart, and the desperate beats could even be felt in her ears. She wanted to breathe, she wanted to live so bad, but life had broken her too early, it had put an end to the sparks in her heart, so she's gripping the edges with the whole strength that's left inside her now and doing everything to keep herself below the water, to ignore the desperate cries of her lungs and heart.
That's it. Death was the only salvation for her, so she's trying to chase it, to wipe out the rest of her life from her story, to die in self-hatred and shame the relentless world had brought upon her. She was suffering, shedding silent tears underwater. Her body writhed in despair and agony, her lips pursed, so she could keep her mouth shut. It took a few minutes of pain until her senses started to fade slowly and she could no longer feel the burning sensation in her lungs, only heavy, skipping jerks of her heart.
Her mind began to get consumed by numbness and haze. Her body started to stop fighting for her life. She could still hear the faint sounds of the water as she kept surrendering to death, following the way to the permanent nothingness with a brave heart. However, it's not just the sounds of the water; it's something else, something like faint knocks and words she wasn't able to make out, but she didn't care, not as long as the longed-for darkness was taking hold of her.
That's the moment she felt the first flows of calmness inside her. They were weak and faint at first, but still strong enough to make her feel something she had craved for years. It's composure, a beautiful serenity that's filling her from inside, growing in size as her heartbeat started to cease as well.
"Taeyong! Taeyong! Oh my God"
It was her brother, someone Taeyong once loved the most but he was late because death was already welcoming her and by the moment her body got pulled out of the water, she was already asleep, peaceful and happy.
