Chapter Text
Damon gets out to the back alley as his shift finishes, and lights a cigarette, as he leans back on the wall, when he sees a man running towards him, his eyes follow as he passes before him, realizing the existence of other being, he runs to him and asks:
"Help me! There are people, bad people chasing me!" He looks at Damon, breathing heavily. Damon scoffs," You look like you need no help, man. Do your own work." he refuses, taking a puff of smoke, but he does not leave, stands there, looking bored.
He sees the men, those were chasing the man in front of him, running towards him, as the person was standing his side," I'll pay you." And he looks at the man, while the bad men yells at him to walk away and leave the man to them. Now he looks interested.
"How much?" He asks. "A blank cheque, you can fill the amount" He chuckles at that, "Man, that would be so stupid of you. But you do look rich. So I'll help you." And he walks to them, smirking.
And he beats them, feeling the tension in his body ease, as he punches and kicks those bastards, without a scratch and smirk still glued to his lips, he walks back to the man, who hands him his card," Came by at my company and take your reward." The man says, as he walks towards the bodies, after examining them and clicking some pictures, he looks back at Damon, who is putting the card in his pocket and staring right at him.
The man smiles and says:
"That was quite a show"
And leaves, Damon stares at his back, confused.

"Hello Dr. Petrova" He says, picking up the phone as he unlocks the door to his apartment. "Sorry, I couldn't pick up your call soon" He adds, as he throws his jacket on the chair, taking off his shoes. "Damon, it's about the medical fees, Dr. Saltzman told me to talk to you, you are a week late."
"Yeah, I'll pay soon." He says," Damon, you said the same last time. I handled it till now, but I can't-" She says but cuts off by Damon, who sighs as he sits down on the edge of the bed," Katherine, just give me one day, I'll pay up tomorrow." He says, slowly," Please" And adds.
"Okay."
"How is he?" He asks, now worried," He's good, not better" She answers, sadly," Did he remember anything?" He has been waiting for all these years, the hope should have been vanished, but here he is, still trying, waiting, and hoping. "No, I am sorry." She replies.
"Oh. I have to go. I-" He says to signal that he is going to hang up the call. "Come see him, sometimes, Damon. It's been 2 years, since you last came."
"Katherine, I- I'll talk to you later. I have to go. Bye" He hangs up the call, without waiting for her reply. He sighs again, rubbing his face, he takes out the card from his pocket, and stares at it:
"Elijah Mikaelson" It reads.
