Chapter Text
Mother Miranda kept a tight grip on your wrist as she quite literally dragged through the dirt path. You didn't know much about why she had refused to let you go, nor did you know where she was taking you. One minute, you were wandeding around, lost and confused, seperated from your friend group, and the next, this odd looking woman had been quick to take you. You were rightfully afraid of what might happen, but stayed silent. You didn't know who these people were, you wanted to go home! The path she dragged you down was very creepy to say the lease, dolls hanged within the trees. "You are to be a good girl for Beneviento, do you understand?" Miranda hissed out to you, and clicked her tongue at the meek nod. "Use your words," the woman ordered to you.
"Yes Ma'am," you quickly say, not wanting to upset her any further, Miranda just nodded in approval at the words, and the rest of the way, both of you stayed silent. In all honesty, you felt more like you were being led to a serial killer more than anything, which only pushed the fear more. This woman had dragged you through a village, ignored your begging and pleads fk be let free, your cheek still cut from when she had hit you to finally silence you. Soon, you got to a home, a waterfall adding an odd sense of beauty, and Miranda knocked on the door. Who was this Beneviento she was taking you to?
The two of you waited, for what felt like hours, and soon the door was slowly opened, a figure covered from head to toe in black, face hidden by a veil. Even with the figures face hidden, you could tell that the person behind it was staring at you, the head tilting to the side a bit. "I brought you a gift, Donna, for all I care you can use her for experiments, although I do think you should keep her around as a maid. You need the human company," Miranda stated, putting depth on the word human. With that, Miranda pushed you into the door, and the words still lingered. Human company? What the hell did that even mean?
'Oh god, please just keep me as a maid,' you thought to yourself, displeased with the other options. You weren't wanting to be used as a damn expiriment! That was the last thing you wanted, and being a maid seemed better than the other option. The woman holding your arm seemed inpatient, a stark difference to the house owners calmness.
"I have things to do, enjoy your gift, Donna," Miranda said before hurrying off, and the stranger closed the door. The silence was tense, it was awkward and you could feel her hidden gaze eyeing you up. You took the time to look around the home, it was actually REALLY stunning, well kept even. You noticed a handfull of dolls, huh, must just be an odd hobby.
"Do you have other clothes?" She asked in a low voice, you almost missed what she said, and your lack of luggage was a fair reason for her question. You simply shook your head, the silence linger between you before she turned to lead the way, and with few other options, you followed like a lost puppy, almost stepping on her heels. The woman first led you to the kitchen and scooped up a doll, dressed as a bride, then led you into a more cozy looking room, sewing things neatly stacked in baskets. The woman set the doll down on the floor, only the doll stood on it's feet and looked up to you, lifeless eyes sinking into your soul as her wooden mouth began to move. "Eeeek! Donna, a new friend!"
