SlyCurio's Omegaverse

Summary:

Just an intro into the omegaverse I work with

Chapter Text

Hello and welcome to Sly's Omegaverse!

In my omegaverse, there are sexes (male & female) and presentations (also called genders- alpha, beta, omega)
There are intersex conditions (affecting only beta individuals- these are akin to intersex conditions in real life)
And there are intergender conditions (affecting only alpha and omega individuals- elaboration later)

I have broken down the sex and gender, alongside physical & behavioral characteristics, as well as approx. populations of each presentation.

Biology

Alpha Male

  • Typically slightly taller and more muscled than a beta of similar descent.
  • Phallus averages approx 10-15% of total height when erect
  • They have visible testes and a knot.
  • The phallus may have a partial sheath or thickened foreskin.
  • Scent glands are located on the jaw, neck, hip, and groin.
  • Occasionally prone to extreme aggression
  • Can impregnate female betas or any omega
  • Make up approx 15% of population

Alpha Female

  • Typically slightly taller and more muscled than a beta of similar descent
  • Phallus averages around 10-15% of total height when erect
  • Phallus is a modified clitoris that remains within the body unless highly aroused or in rut
  • Knot is located slightly higher on the shaft than in males due to lower position of phallus
  • Testes are internal, located within the bulb of the clitoral vestibule
  • Vaginal opening is significantly smaller than betas or omegas
  • Urethra is identical to that of beta/omega women
  • Uterus & ovaries are approx half the size of beta/omega womens
  • Scent glands are located on jaw, collarbone, hip, and mons pubis
  • Vast majority (85% +) are unable to become pregnant without medical intervention
  • Can impregnate female betas or any omega
  • Make up approx 10% of population

Beta Male

  • Are of average height and build
  • Phallus averages around 7-9% of total height when erect
  • Have visible testes
  • Phallus may have normal foreskin or slightly thickened foreskin
  • Scent glands are located on the neck and groin only
  • Does not go into rut
  • Can impregnate female betas or omegas only
  • Make up approx 25% of population

Beta Female

  • Are of average height and build
  • Have typical female reproductive anatomy
  • Typically have a slightly smaller or less exposed clitoral glans compared to alphas and omegas
  • Scent glands are located on collarbone and mons pubis only
  • Does not go into heat; has regular menstrual cycle
  • Have average fertility
  • Make up approx 25% of population

Omega Male

  • Are of slightly shorter height, and often of lighter or less muscular build
  • Have a slightly higher body fat percentage than other males (10-15% instead of 5-10%)
  • Phallus rarely exceeds more than 6% of total body height when erect
  • Erections can be difficult to achieve and generally do not last very long
  • Have small external testes
  • Scent glands on neck, collarbone, and groin
  • Produce slick when in heat
  • Generally has a small vaginal opening beneath the scrotum
  • Have slightly above average fertility
  • More prone to complications during birth, but still fairly rare
  • Make up approx 10% of population

Omega Female

  • Are of slightly shorter height, and often of moderate build
  • Often have slightly higher body fat percentage than other females (25-30% instead of 15-25%)
  • Clitoris and labia minora are often larger than those of female betas
  • Have exceptional fertility
  • Least likely to have complications during pregnancy and childbirth
  • Produce large amounts of slick when in heat
  • Scent glands on neck, collarbone, hip, and mons pubis
  • Make up approx 15% of population

Intersex Presentations

Sigma

  • Male Exclusive
  • Looks & acts like an alpha
  • Has a knot, but is generally infertile
  • May have a rudimentary uterine system
  • Can go into heat or rut
  • Makes up approx 5% of alpha male population (0.75% of total population)

Delta

  • Female Exclusive
  • Looks & acts like an alpha
  • Has a knot, but is generally infertile when acting as an alpha
  • Has a fully developed uterine system
  • Is usually only able to conceive rather than impregnate
  • Despite being able to conceive, they still have a very low fertility rate
  • Can go into heat or rut
  • Makes up approx 2.5% of alpha female population (0.25% of total population)

Gamma

  • Male Exclusive
  • Looks & acts like an omega
  • Has a knot, but is unable to impregnate
  • Otherwise is a normal omega male
  • Only goes into heat
  • Makes up approx 2.5% of omega male population (0.25% of total population)

Zeta

  • Female Exclusive
  • Looks & acts like an omega
  • Has a knot & phallus, but is generally infertile
  • Has difficulty conceiving
  • Is generally the most likely of any presentation to be infertile
  • Can go into heat or rut
  • Makes up approx 5% of omega female population (0.75% of total population)

In total, intersex presentations make up only ~2% of the total population

  • Please note: betas of either sex can also be intersex, however, only as it relates to primary biological sex (i.e. male or female) rather than presentation (alpha/beta/omega)

Social Structures & Stigma

Heterosexual relationships are still the most prevalent

Alpha x Omega and Beta x Beta relationships are considered to be ‘the norm’

Alpha x Beta and Beta x Omega relationships are considered slightly unusual but often accepted

Alpha x Alpha and Omega x Omega relationships are uncommon and generally face stigma

Heterosexual pairings of any two secondary genders are more accepted than homosexuals

Individuals usually present around the ages of 16 to 20.

Omegas go into heat between 4 and 6 times each year. Heats can also be triggered by emotional distress or upon the discovery of a highly compatible mate (i.e. a 'true mate'/soulmate, except each person has a handful of highly compatible mates)
Heats will not occur if the omega is under prolonged stress or major physical distress (such as starvation, hypothermia, illness, etc)

Alphas go into rut 1-2 times a year. Ruts generally occur in mid spring and late autumn. They can also be triggered by emotional distress, or upon discovery of a highly compatible mate.
Ruts do not occur if the alpha is under prolonged stress or any major physical distress.

True mates are a rare phenomena, in which two individuals (generally of alpha/omega or beta/beta presentations) are chemically compatible, of diverse immunity, and occasionally even emotionally and psychologically compatible. Each person has about 1 true mate per 500,000 people (i.e. 2 per million)
This makes them rare but not necessarily unheard of.
True mates are a widely accepted biological phenomena and thus it is rare that someone believe such a thing is impossible.

That's about all I have for now, and I'll be sure to update this should anything change.

Thanks for reading!
