Work Text:

Kurumi did not know why Haruna preferred to go shopping early in the morning. On her days off, Kurumi loves to sleep until lunch, while Haruna is already at work in the morning.

"A true lady is always busy with something. I try not to be as lazy as you." Haruna pointed her finger in front of Kurumi’s face. Fortunately for Kurumi, she said nothing else. Her attention shifted to another record in the store window.

Kurumi appreciates all of Haruna’s contributions to the Lyrical Lily unit’s activities, but she often thinks Haruna overworks herself. Haruna had refused to leave the store, although they had been there for an hour and a half. Kurumi was now carrying all of their shopping bags, and she was getting exhausted. Her hands were becoming numb. She doesn’t know how much longer she can hold on like this.

"Have you chosen what you want to buy?"

"Not yet."

"For God’s sake, we’ve been here for almost two hours! I am hungry. There is an Italian restaurant nearby, which I have been wanting to go to for a very long time and–"

"All right," Haruna replied without waiting for Kurumi to continue. Unbelievable! She took pity on her?

"However, we’ll return here later, okay?"

Kurumi should’ve known it would not be that easy. However, she was thankful that they were taking a break. She was ready to do anything just to not see those damn records anymore. Although the thought of them coming back here made her gloomy. Deep down, she hoped that this would not happen.

Since the weather was sunny outside, the girls visited the restaurant’s roof terrace.

"What would you like?"

"I want pasta."

Haruna asked, raising her eyes from the menu. They’re in an Italian restaurant, and she chose this dish out of all the options on the menu?

"Why not?" Kurumi replied, "It’s simple and nice." She shrugged her shoulders. Haruna didn’t argue with her. She’d already put her through enough today. The last thing Kurumi wants is to be criticised for her food preferences. Haruna, fortunately for Kurumi, is never against eating good Italian pasta.

Haruna got out her phone to take pictures of all the food once the dinner was delivered to them. Kurumi couldn’t stop herself from chuckling.

"What?"

"I’m still not used to the idea that a chairwoman like you would take pictures of food."

"You say that as if you don’t do it yourself!"

Haruna couldn’t sulk for a long time as all her attention shifted to the pasta. She had already forgotten about their previous quarrel by the time she had finished eating.

Haruna was wiping her lips with a tissue (like the lady she is) when she noticed Kurumi hadn’t finished her meal yet. That was quite unexpected. Kurumi isn’t the type to leave food on the plate unfinished.

"What is it? You don’t like it?"

"I came up with an idea."

"No."

"But I didn’t even say anything!"

"I still don’t agree."

Kurumi let out a disappointed sigh. She did not take her gaze away from the plate as she scraped her fork over it. Is she... pouting?

"Kurumi-san" Kurumi immediately raised her gaze and Haruna noticed how her eyes sparkled. How can she say no to that? "What have you come up with?"

"I’m so glad you asked." Haruna rolled her eyes. "Do you remember the cartoon The Lady and the Tramp?"

"Yes, why?"

"I want to recreate that famous spaghetti scene."

Haruna blinked her eyes. She wants to do what? Many of Kurumi’s ideas were always strange, but this was definitely the strangest. At least for the moment.

"Kurumi-san, this is probably the dumbest idea you’ve ever come up with"

"I’ve been dreaming about it since yesterday!" Kurumi sat with her arms folded and continued, "Today we were supposed to have a date, but in the end, we spent the majority of the time in a music store. And after all that I’ve been through, you don’t want to fulfill my wish?"

Oh, she was really angry.

But Kurumi was still right. Haruna spent more time staring at the records than with her girlfriend today, so it is difficult to call their walk a date. She mentally slapped her forehead. Sometimes she gets so carried away with something that she forgets about everything around her. Haruna must somehow repay Kurumi for all her efforts.

"Okay, I agree."

Kurumi looked at the girl in surprise to find some signs against it, but Haruna was serious. Kurumi rubbed her sweaty hands on her dress.

"Great. Now pay attention to what I’m doing." She used her fork to carefully pick up one noodle and place it in her mouth. She waved her hand, encouraging Haruna to repeat it after her.

Haruna is sure that they look absolutely ridiculous from the outside, but she decided not to think about it now. She followed Kurumi carefully and began to slowly eat the noodles. They stopped as they reached the middle of the noodles. Kurumi was already leaning across the table, although she didn’t seem to be doing much. Haruna closed her eyes, waiting.

Haruna heard a click next to her, and before she could react to it, Kurumi kissed her. She froze and melted into the kiss. Unfortunately, it did not last long, and Kurumi broke the kiss after ten seconds.

Kurumi’s cheerful expression greeted her when Haruna opened her eyes. With a smile on her face, she was looking at her phone. Haruna was relieved that everything had gone smoothly, and that Kurumi was pleased.

"What makes you so happy?"

"Open our group chat."

Haruna didn’t waste any time and opened a group chat with Miiko and Miyu right away. She scrolled through the most recent messages and came across a photo-Wait.

"Kurumi-san, how could you!?"

Kurumi pointed to a photograph. "But, we both look so adorable in this photo, especially you. Look at you, wrinkling your nose, waiting for me to kiss you."

Haruna felt her cheeks burning. When will she finally stop falling for such silly tricks?
