Yoongi sighed, “Kookie, when are you gonna be ready, the others will be here in 10 minutes.”
“I know, calm down, I'm almost done packing.”
Yoongi heard a loud buzzing sound and looked at his phone “They'll be here in two minutes,” he yelled!
“What! I'm not done yet!!”
“What do you mean you're not done? you said you were almost ready!? I swear to God, Kookie-”
“Haha, I'm just messing with you” Jungkook smiled as he came back out of his room, “I'm ready!”
Yoongi's phone Buzzed again” They're here.
“Let's go” Jungkook squeaked from excitement while skipping towards the door with his bag and backpack. “Come on Hyung!”
“Jeez, hold on, I'm coming” Yoongi said with an eye roll, as he went outside. “Hi Guys, are you ready?”
“Yeah,” Hobi said with a smile that could compete with the brightness of the sun.
“Yeah and you?” Namjoon asked.
“I've been ready for more than a month, this is gonna be the best summer ever”!
“COME ON LETS GOOOOOOO” Jungkook yelled.
“Haha okay hold your horses Kookie, we are coming” Hobi smiled.
“Kids these days,” Namjoon said while placing the bags in the car.
“Hey!! I'm not that much younger than you Hyung!”
“Yeah, Yeah” Namjoon smiled.
The drive took about two hours from Seoul to the small town outside of Busan.
While they drove they began telling stories.
“Okay my turn” Namjoon said with an eager smile. “Have you heard the story about the island”
“No!”
“Nope! can't say that I have”
“Okay so it's said that a long, long time ago there was an island not far from the shores of where we're going and after a tragic accident it suddenly disappeared!
“It's said that time moves differently on the island and one night lasts for a century, therefore it can only be seen once every century.”
“Wow..”
“Yeah..”
“Hahaha” The others all started laughing.
“That's stupid” Hobi said.
“Yeah, do people actually believe this?” Yoongi asked.
“A mysterious island, how silly” Jungkook laughed as he shook his head.
Namjoon felt a bit offended but shook it off with a smile.
Shortly after they drove into the driveway of an amazing white, wooden house right on the beach.
“Remember to tell your uncle thanks for lending us this place for an entire month, hyung” Namjoon said, as they went inside.
“Will do! wauw this place really is something else, look at the window, the view of the beach is amazing and the terrace goes all the way down to the beach.” Hobi said
“So how do we pick the rooms?” Jungkook asked
“Well since it's all thanks to Hobi that we are here, he should pick first.”
“Oh okay, well then I'll choose the second room on the right”
“So what about the rest of us” Yoongi asked!?
“Well I don't really care that much as long as there is a bed,” Namjoon said.
“Okay so it's between me and Yoongi Hyung,” Jungkook said looking at his older brother.
“Oh, IT'S ON” Yoongi said, putting out his hand.
“Oh no! not again” Hobi said..
“Jezz, this could take some time,” Namjoon sighed.
Jungkook turned to Yoongi “Okay! ready? rock, scissors, paper now!”
The two brothers kept playing for what seemed like an hour! Yoongi's scream woke up Hobi and Namjoon, who had both dozed off.
“Hmm, w-what happened, who won??” Namjoon asked.
“I did,” Jungkook said, smiling triumphantly.
“You cheated,” Yoongi murmured with a frown.
“Did not, okay so I'll pick the first room, I want the first one on the left.”
“Okay so I guess I'll choose the one next to Kookie and Joonie, you can have the one next to Hobi.”
Later that day, the sun was shining bright high up in the blue sky. The sand was warm and the ocean perfectly cool.
Namjoon and Jungkook were walking on the beach.
All of a sudden Namjoon stopped!
“What's wrong Hyung?”
“Stay completely still,” Namjoon wisphered.. “HA!!! I GOT YOU!” he jumped and dug his hands into the wet sand.
“What the!? What are you doing hyung?”
“Look,” Namjoon smiled, “it's a small blue crab.”
Jungkook just smiled with a small head shake and looked out at the crystal clear ocean.
They both sat down in the sand and enjoyed the sun, sound of the waves and the small crab crawling around in Namjoon's hands.
That night Yoongi cooked for them. After dinner Jungkook told the others that he would go for a quick walk on the beach.
The moon was already up and shining bright.
He sat down and enjoyed the sound of the waves and the moonlight on the calm ocean surface.
he sighed and closed his eyes.
“What was that!?” He thought he heard something, no someone. He opened his eyes only to find the beach deserted except for himself. “I must be tired, I better head back to the house before my mind plays any more tricks on me!”
As he returned to the house the others had already gone to bed.
When he entered his room, he opened a window to let the cool night breeze in.
He lay down on the bed and soon fell asleep.
In his dream he was running towards a voice calling his name.
He was lost in a storm, running like he had never run before, but no matter what, he couldn't reach the voice calling out to him. He could feel his tears running down his face.
“Where are you?” he screamed, “I can't find you..”
“Kookie..” the sound came from everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
“Kookie please, please don't leave me!”
“I won't.” He screamed, “I promise I'll find you and when I do I'll never let you go again.”
“Kookie please” the voice was fading away.
“No wait, just.. wait a bit longer, I'll find you I promise!”
And with that he turned around in his sleep and fell off the bed, covered in sheets and sweat.
Yoongi stormed through the door “WTH happened Kookie? I heard yelling and a loud bump, are you okay?”
“Uh yeah, I just had a weird dream. I guess I must have fallen from the bed”
“You scared the shit out of me, are you sure you're okay?” Yoongi said with a concerned look.
“Yeah I'm sure.. I think I'm just gonna go watch the sunrise and get some fresh air. Go back to sleep, hyung.”
The morning was cool and grey and the sun was about to rise on the horizon.
It was so quiet, only the soft sound of the waves could be heard.
As Jungkook was walking along the beach in the chilly morning air he thought about his dream. “What was that all about? What was with that voice and who did it belong to”.
Why had it seemed so familiar to him when at the same time he was sure that had never heard it before.
He sat down in the sand looking towards the rising sun. The colors were amazing and turned the grey sky into candyfloss, you could see the sunbeams through the clouds.
At first Jungkook didn't notice, but then an island suddenly appeared not long from the shore.
“Hmm, that's weird. I don't remember an island being there yesterday.”
As he got back up, he took one more look towards the island and then he went to the house.
While he was preparing breakfast the others began to appear from their rooms.
“Do you need any help?” Yoongi asked while pouring a cup of coffee into a big mug.
“No, it's okay, It's done!”
While eating breakfast Jungkook asked the others, “do you guys remember if there was an island out on the ocean yesterday?”
“No, why?” they replied.
“It's just I don't remember seeing an island yesterday and all of a sudden this morning there it was! right off the shore.”
“Well islands just don't appear out of nothing, it's probably been there the whole time, we just didn't notice it yesterday” Hobi said.
