Summary:

Hansol accidentally sees a nsfw video of Seungkwan..... some feelings were realized afterwards.

Notes:

The first chapter is safe, hehe. I've been debating with myself how to start this because i didn't want to start with smut outright, and i think i needed to show their history in some way because there will be references to this later on. Lots of time skips because i'm trying to focus on memorable moments these two had (there are so many but i think these are my fave ones) and then from the next chapter and so on, it would be more of 2020-ish onwards.

Anyways! This will be my first verkwan smut fic so i'm both excited and nervous.

To anon, thank you for tapping me to write this! And for giving me so many content to get inspiration from. I hope i won't disappoint you!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

If comfort came in a form of a person, Seungkwan wouldn’t even need to think. He only has one answer.

Hansol.

“I’m yours too, right?” He asked Hansol one time after an interview, checking if the feeling is indeed mutual between them. “You’re what?” the ever confused Hansol asked. “Your comfort person. The interview question? I put you as mine.” Seungkwan stated as a matter of fact.

“Ah.. yes” No. Hansol definitely did not. Now how does he tell Seungkwan what he answered was: I think the highest form of comfort is watching cat videos.

He can already imagine the amount of pouting and sulking that would ensue once the other man finds out.

“Wait, I left something inside. Can you tell them to wait for me?” He said as he hurried in the studio, looking for the writer who just interviewed him. “Noona, can I change something on my answer?”

It’s not like it isn’t true! Seungkwan is his comfort. He just so happen to think that cat videos are as equally comforting too.

But okay Seungkwan doesn’t need to know that now. All is well. Peace shall continue.

--

Hansol and Seungkwan had always planned to visit the latter’s hometown. They’ve wanted to do it for the longest time but never really got to push through because of their busy schedules. So when they’re finally given a few days off, they just knew they have to fly to Jeju and tick this off their friendship bucket list.

Of course, as expected, Seungkwan wouldn’t shut up about how they need to pack this and that, to not forget stuff, to pack their clothes nicely so they won’t crumple… he just goes on and on and on. And normally, all the other members would complain about his excessive nagging, but Hansol just looks at him trying to absorb everything and then would slowly do as told. He’s learned a long time ago that one never wins against Boo Seungkwan. One must always follow what Boo Seungkwan says.

And he honestly doesn’t mind.

“We have to be at the airport tomorrow at 8am okay? So you have to sleep early.” Seungkwan reminds him for the fifth time. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll sleep after watching some videos on youtube.” Hansol gets ready for bed. He saw Seungkwan with his hand on his hip by his doorway. “What?”

“We leave early so you need to sleep early.”

“I said I will sleep after I watch.”

Seungkwan touches his nose and dramatically shakes his head.

“Fine. I’m going to sleep now.” Hansol puts down his phone and then he sees Seungkwan smile. “Okay! Goodnight Hansollie! I’m excited for tomorrow!”

Hansol mumbles a soft goodnight and closes his eyes. After waiting for a few seconds, he opens them again slowly and looks around to check if Seungkwan really had left. When he’s sure the other did, he pulls out his phone again and starts watching his favorite cat videos.

Seungkwan doesn’t need to know, does he?

--

“I feel like we should film this.” Seungkwan says for the nth time as they walk around the airport. “I mean, it’s going to be a nice content for our show right?”

“I thought you wanted a break from the cameras?”

“Yeah but...” he stops walking. “It’s not everyday i get to show off my hometown.” he looks so conflicted.

“Kwan-ah, if you want to film it just film it, I’m okay with it.”

“You’re okay with everything and sometimes I like it sometimes I find it annoying.” Seungkwan pouts.

Hansol frowns, “What do you mean?”

“I mean, you don’t help with the decision making because you’re always fine with everything so I have to decide on my own.” Hansol thinks Seungkwan’s pout is going to reach the floor. “But sometimes I’m okay with it because it means we get to do what I want.”

Hansol is just looking at him blankly. “Why are you making this so complicated?”

“I’m not..” the little voice comes as the slightly older man kicks an imaginary rock-- yes, all while in the middle of an airport. “I just think.. it would be nice you know? For me to know what you like too.”

Hansol holds him by the chin and if anyone (especially their fans) would see them like this (thank god for the disguise that comes in the pair of a hoodie and face mask) “I only like what you like Kwan-ah, so don’t worry too much.”

Seungkwan was obviously caught off guard because they’re in public so he swats Hansol’s hand away, grumbling something about being identified and then he takes his luggage and walked away. Hansol shakes his head in amusement as he follows the other man.

The whole thing about this trip is to feel as normal as possible so of course they booked economy seats but now Seungkwan wouldn’t stop fussing over how there’s not enough leg room while Hansol just sits there staring straight ahead, totally used to every little antic the other has. After whining about their seats for a few minutes, Seungkwan finally settles down and asks to take a selfie and of course Hansol complied.

It only took them about an hour to arrive in Jeju. Of course Seungkwan was already exclaiming about how beautiful his hometown is and they havent even landed yet.

In the end, Seungkwan decided he’ll film their trip after all. But (and this is important) he said he’ll only film whenever they’re sight seeing or when there’s something interesting to show as to preserve the privacy of their little trip.

The first agenda, of course, is food. Seungkwan brought Hansol to a food market where all of his favorite streetfoods were. They’re having fun sampling everything here and there but it does get cramped at times and Hansol’s instict is to always be behind Seungkwan just in case the latter gets squished. Seungkwan seemingly fails to realize this because he’s too busy showing Hansol everything-- pointing here and there, up and down and all around-- and Hansol’s response to everything was “Oh that looks good.”

Seungkwan is over excited to the point where he sometimes run off without realizing he’s leaving his friend behind. Hansol decides there’s only way to deal with this and that is to hold Seungkwan’s hand in the midst of the crowd. Seungkwan looks at him and then down to where their clasped hands are  and then back up to Hansol who meets his gaze with a shrug and then he rolls his eyes, dragging Hansol along as they go through yet another aisle cramped with people and food stalls.

Their first day were filled with food and sight seeing and they go home to their accommodation with sore legs. Seungkwan keeps complaining about a dry mouth. “That’s because you won’t stop talking.”

“I’m literally your tour guide how do you expect me to be quiet the entire trip?” Seungkwan glared at him.

“Not the entire trip but maybe..” Hansol scratches the back of his head. “Maybe not necessary to tell me about the story of why this plant grew here and there…”

The pouting game begun again as Seungkwan sat on the edge of the bed. “I just wanted to be informative..”

Hansol sat down beside him. “Okay. I understand that. But Kwan-ah, I’m not interested in the plants or the sand or the pebbles… I’m interested about you. I want to see which school you went to, or where you had fond memories or where do you like to go to to hang out.. stuff like that. Don’t get me wrong I really appreciate you telling me everything and your hometown is truly beautiful but I just think it’ll be more beautiful if we will relate this trip into knowing more about you when you were younger.”

Seungkwan looks up at him. “But you know most of my childhood already.”

Hansol laughs softly. “I do, don’t I?” and then he plops down on the bed and that makes Seungkwan yell “Ya!! Change your clothes first!” Seungkwan took his hand and had started pulling him up but Hansol gives all his weight, refusing to get up. “I’m tired, Kwan-ah.”

“But you’ll get the bed dirty! Get up and shower first!”

Hansol pulls hims down, making Seungkwan stumble and end up on top of him. “Y-ya! What are you doing?!”

“I’m tired. Would you mind giving me a bath?” Hansol’s voice was low, his eyes locked with the other man’s own. Seungkwan’s eyes is as round as his cheeks, bulging and shifty as he tries to get up but Hansol has him pinned by the waist. “Ya! You better let me go!” Hansol then laughs, letting him go and then getting up. “Alright I’ll take a shower.” and then he walks to the bathroom, leaving a blushing Seungkwan on the bed. “That punk.”

When Hansol got out of the bathroom, he saw Seungkwan on the bed, with his outside clothes and snoring softly in his sleep. He chuckles, so much for making a fuss with his outside clothes when the other wore his to sleep.

--

Seungkwan loves that he’s able to visit his parent’s house with Hansol. He hasn’t been there for a long time and he terribly misses the homey atmosphere and the smell of his mom’s cooking. They ate to their heart’s content, with Hansol exclaiming how delicious Seungkwan’s mother’s cooking is. “Wow this really reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking!” he couldn’t help saying it. He feels like he’s home.

Seungkwan went to the kitchen to help his mother. “So…” his mother turned to him, grinning. “What’s the status?”

Seungkwan looks back at her frowning. “What status?”

“Of you! And Bonon-ie.” his mom’s smile is so wide Seungkwan is actually scared it’ll reach her ears. “There’s no status eomma. We’re friends. He’s my co-member. That’s it.”

“Aww whatever happened to your cute little crush on him, Seungkwannie?” The son actually widened his eyes at his mother, willing her to keep her voice down. His mom gestures a cute apology and then asks again the question quietly this time.

“I never said I had a crush on him, eomma.”

“Oh but you did? Remember? When you were both still trainees and you told me your heart flutters whenever he clings to you? Does he not do that anymore?”

“Well….” Seungkwan presses his lips thinly. “He still does but…” His mom urged him to continue. “There’s nothing more mom, we’re just bestfriends.”

“Eh? But I’m pretty sure there’s something? You know I have good instinct right?” His mom grins at him. “Have you told him?”

“Never! I don’t think I ever will. I like us as bestfriends. What if I tell him and he’d find me weird? And besides I never said I still have a crush on him.” Seungkwan defended himself.

“Yeah, but it clearly shows.” His mom grins again and then disappears to the dining area to give Hansol more food.

They decided to stay the night with Seungkwan even insisting that he’ll sleep with his mom but his mother said that he and Hansol should sleep together. “The room is pretty small but I’m sure you boys are used to sleeping together so I only provided one mattress. Is that okay Bonon-ie?” and then she nudged Seungkwan, winking as she exited the small room.

Seungkwan and Hansol had settled on the bed then, laying straight on the futon with just a little gap between them. Seungkwan clears his throat and says  “Sorry, we should have just stayed in the hostel.”

“Why are you sorry?”

“Because the room is too small and the bed is uncomfortable.”

“I think it’s okay though?”

Seungkwan sighed. “There you go again with being okay about everything.”

“I really mean it. I’m okay with this. We’ve had worse experiences, remember? And besides, I told you, as long as it’s with you, I’m fine with it.” Hansol looks at him, and although Seungkwan’s heart is about to explode into tiny million pieces, he did his best to look back at him. Gosh, his mother’s reminder about his little crush on Hansol had definitely gave this a different feel. Now his heart won’t stop beating like he just ran a marathon.

“Right, let’s go to sleep.” Hansol turns to him, snakes an arm under his neck and then pulls him close. “W-what are you doing?” Seungkwan is panicking again.

“What do you mean what am I doing? We’re going to sleep.”

“Uhh but why are you hugging me?”

“We always hug each other to sleep don’t we? Remember? When we went to Yeoseodo? We cuddled next to Wonwoo-hyung.”

“Ya, we were kids then.” Seungkwan is trying to get away from the other’s hold but Hansol’s got him locked with his arms. “Don’t you think that this is weird now that we’re grown ups?”

“I don’t think that matters. I think you should cuddle with whoever you want to.” then Hansol looks down at him. “Why? Don’t you want to cuddle with me?”

“Uhm.. I--” Seungkwan can’t even look him in the eyes. “I do.”

“Alright then that’s settled.” and then Hansol pulls him even closer. Seungkwan fell asleep fast that night. He’s always loves how Hansol smells and the way his lanky body would wrap all over him.

-

If there’s one thing that Hansol is particular about, it’s clothes.

He has his own sense of fashion and that’s understandable because it’s a part of him and how he mostly expresses himself. But that also means that he can be a neat freak especially when it comes to what he wears.

On a promotional stunt for their latest album, An Ode, they were doing a fanmeeting when Seungkwan decided to act all lovey-dovey with Hansol. The crowd lost it when he leaned on Hansol’s shoulder, but to his surprise, Hansol swats him away and brushes his shoulder as if Seungkwan’s face is dirty.

In Hansol’s defense, it is. With make-up.

Seungkwan pretended to be offended that time and he playfully pouts and glares at his friend. Hansol just shrugs at him, not thinking too much about it because he’s sure the other man understood why he did that.

Unfortunately for him, Seungkwan is sulky even after their schedule.

He tried to make small talk in the waiting room, he even went to ride with Seungkwan in a show of apology but the latter sure knows how to hold grudge. When Hansol held him by the wrist, Seungkwan swatted his hand away and then looked outside the window. Hansol decided he’ll back off for now.

--

Seungkwan is already settled on his bed when he heard quiet knocks on the door. He frowns and gets up, glancing at the sleeping Mingyu on the other bed. When the door opens, Hansol’s head pops in. “Can I come in?”

Seungkwan doesn’t reply and instead pulls the blanket closer to his face even while sitting up. Hansol tiptoes on his way to Seungkwan’s bed.

“What do you need?” Seungkwan’s still upset.

“I need you to use your words and tell me why you’re ignoring me.”

Seungkwan’s silence means he does not, indeed, want to use words.

“Is it because I did not let you lean on my shoulder?”

Now Seungkwan’s silence means yes.

“Seungkwan-ah, you know I don’t like getting my clothes stained right? You had make up on earlier that’s why I did that. I do it to everyone so why are you making a big deal about this?”

“Just because…”

“Kwan-ah, didn’t I tell you that not everything has to be a big deal? We talked about this, right?” Hansol’s voice is quite reprimanding but still very gentle. “Sometimes you have to contain your feelings. You know I’d never outright reject you with no reason.”

“Easy for you to say.. you never get worked up.” Seungkwan said quietly, careful not to talk out loud and wake up the older member. “I was just sad because you did it right in front of our fans. I felt rejected.”

“I’m sorry. That’s not how I want you to feel. I was just being careful of the outfit, that’s all. You know I’ll let you lean on me for as long as you want otherwise.”

Seungkwan didn’t say anything so Hansol frames his face with his hand and brings it to lean on his shoulder. “Like now. You can stay there for as long as you want.” Seungkwan’s silence this time (and his non-refusal of Hansol’s initiative, means he’s mellowing down.” “Are you upset that I made a big deal of it?” Seungkwan asked.

“I’m not.”

“Of course, you never get upset.” Seungkwan sighs.

“I have my moments too.” Hansol said. “Maybe if someone does something bad to my parents.. my little sister.. or you. Then that’s the time I will not be at peace.”

“Why me?” Seungkwan looks up at him.

“Because you’re very precious to me. I don’t think I will be able to take it if someone comes after you.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

“Okay.” Seungkwan smiles as he leans back to Hansol’s shoulder, this time, savoring the feeling because something about what his bestfriend said made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
