Chapter Text

One afternoon in a peaceful living room of Myoui residence in Kobe, Japan, there were two powerful people talking casually. One from Im Entertainment Company and the other one was from the rival one which was the Myoui Entertainment Company, both were founders of the said companies.

Their founding companies maybe rivals but believe it when they said they were best of friends even in their old age now.

It all started in a cliché story of two friends from high school who had the same business goal who ended up both successful – the Im's dominated Korea and Myoui's in Japan.

And here they were, sitting comfortably while reminiscing the good old days.

Mr. Im started the conversation. "Do you remember when we were young, we joked a lot about deepening our friendship through marriage of our own son and daughter?"

Mr. Myoui responded by nodding his head and chuckling carefully to himself. "But we both ended up having a son and the agreement immediately got void? Of course, how can I forget that?"

Mr. Im laughed at that. It was true that they were both happy and disappointed at the same time when they first became father to their sons. "Yeah, I can still taste the disappointment until now."

The elder Myoui hummed in agreement. "But why did you suddenly bring it up?" He sipped his tea while looking curiously at his friend.

"I'm just thinking if we can still carry that on."

"Ehh?"

"Yes. I know we were just joking back then but deep in our hearts we really both wanted that to happen. And thinking about it now, it is not a bad idea. We can merge our company and then push our artists globally, not just my artists in Korea and yours in Japan. We can both use our influences and reputation to pursue internationally."

"Are you aware that I only have one granddaughter and you have two girls too? It is still not possible. Our luck in this matter is still square to zero, really."

"You're really an oldie huh? Don't you know it is possible this time around? The young ones nowadays are brave enough to fight for love. Don't you hear about the phrase 'love wins' or the rainbow symbol? Cause I saw it on the internet a couple of times."

"Oh right, I remember now. My son brought my poor granddaughter back to Japan before when he heard about her dating a girl even she was only in South Korea for only three months as an exchange student. He didn't even let her finish the program and dragged her back."

"Oww, that doesn't sound good, does it? So your son is against it?"

"But you know, I think I can convince him."

"Really?! So it is a go now?"

"I think so."

Mr. Im sighed in relief. "Finally! The long promise will soon be fulfilled. Imagine, tying the Im and Myoui's name legally? I can imagine us being the top entertainment company across Asia."

"And it will sound so good. A brighter future awaits for us!"

"I agree."

"I can't wait to tell my granddaughter about this. She will be pleased."

"I'll say the same."

'You've got to be kidding me.'

'This is nightmare. No, this is a catastrophe at its finest.'

'I just got back from a business trip and here I am getting informed that I am getting married in a few months.'

'With a stranger.'

'With a freaking stranger who I never heard before.'

"You're kidding right?" 'Tell me this is just a freaking joke or prank! I would prefer getting tease for my reaction than this to be true.'

"Of course not sweetie. I know you've been waiting for this."

'How the hell in the world I have been waiting for this? Who told him he can decide for my future?'

"Common, you will love her. She's sweet, well-mannered woman and I heard that she's cute too to the point you just want to keep her in your pocket."

'Woman? Well, at least it is a girl this time.' Yeah, this time. Cause this was not the first time Mina's grandfather introduced someone to her but this was the freaking first time to a girl but without giving her any choice to decline. And it was a freaking marriage not just a blind date!

"You'll be meeting her next week. She's still arranging everything to move back to South Korea. And you will be doing the same. So just ready yourself. I already arranged everything for you."

"Wait, Korea? Does that mean I have to go there next week? But I have important meetings–"

"Yes. To meet her and the rest of her family so make sure to free your schedule then."

"W-what? I haven't even said yes yet and you already arranged everything?" Mina asked in pure disbelief.

"Mina, dear, I am old now. I will soon left this world and I don't want that to happen knowing you will be on your own."

"I have Mom and Dad! I have friends! I won't be alone. And what are you even saying? You're still strong enough for you to talk about your last wishes!"

"Just do it for me please? This is my last request. And it will be good for our business too."

"I–"

"I'll take that as a yes. Your parents already agreed so it's all set! See you there next week. Love you!" And then he was gone, just like that. He suddenly popped in to her office and informed her she's getting married and then gone before Mina could even comprehend everything.

Mina stomped her feet, like a child throwing a tantrum. "I haven't said anything yet!"

There was a knock. Jihyo frowned in confusion, she was not expecting anyone today especially Sunday and her girlfriend was currently out of the country to visit her parents. She didn't order food either. In fact, she was currently looking for a good recipe she wanted to learn given her free time today.

"Coming!" She placed down her phone on the countertop of the kitchen and headed to her front door.

Her eyes opened wide when she saw who was it. "Nayeon?!"

"Hey there Ji!" Nayeon smiled at her, showing her infamous bunny teeth. "Surprise!"

Jihyo immediately engulfed her in a bone breaking hug. She was so happy to finally see her best friend again. "God, it's really good to finally see you face to face again."

Nayeon pulled back with a grin and showed herself more to Jihyo. "I know. I look great, haven't I?"

Jihyo opened the door wider and letting her friend in. "I see, you're still the narcissist Im Nayeon."

"I'm just stating facts here." Nayeon shrugged and then took her seat on the couch, feeling at home like always. She'd been here a countless times already. Most of the times when she was in Korea, she'd rather spend her night here than in a fancy hotel or even prefer Jihyo's house than her own.

Jihyo took a seat next to her while Nayeon grabbed the latest magazine from the table and started scanning and flipping through the pages. "But seriously though, you are the person I least expect here. It's been years since you last visited Korea. And I know how much you hated staying in one place. Are you visiting or staying for good?"

"I'm staying for good this time. And oh, I forgot to tell you I'm getting married."

"YOU WHAT?!" Jihyo raised her voice. She was not even sure if she heard her right. Jihyo thought her brain stopped being fully functional. 'Nayeon, her best friend Im Nayeon is getting married? The one who never set her eyes on someone just because for her relationships are just a waste of time.' Nayeon was not bitter or something, she just didn't find someone attractive enough to date or even to be with her. But then she showed up in Jihyo's house and announced it like it was the most normal thing for her to do. For Pete's sake, she didn't even experience dating yet and jumped right away to marriage!

"I said I'm getting married." Nayeon repeated nonchalantly while still engrossed in what she was reading on the magazine.

When Jihyo's brain started working again, she quickly snatched the magazine from Nayeon's hand to fully have her attention. "You never told me you are in a relationship and you decided settling down now?! Without even introducing who is it to your friends? The squad doesn't even know if that person is right for you or not. We still have a say in this!"

"You're over dramatic sometimes. And I am not in a relationship. It's an arrange marriage to someone."

"WHAT?!" Jihyo's voice became even louder.

"Calm down! You're so loud Ji!" Nayeon whined while covering her ears.

"So that means you have no idea who that is? And you agreed because? I didn't even know arrange marriage still a thing even in our generation."

"Well, yeah. Why not? I think it's fun."

"Just that?! Nayeon, you idiot! Marriage means you'll have to spend the rest of your life with that person."

"And so? I heard she's a pretty girl. You know I like pretty girls."

"Oh no, you don't. You never dated anyone Nayeon, remember? You keep insisting you're too good for anyone. The nerve!"

Nayeon laughed and winked at her. "It's kinda true."

"But seriously Nayeon, you don't even know her, her attitude and whatsoever. I don't think you're ready for this." Jihyo insisted.

"Nah, it'll be fine." Nayeon shrugged off her doubts just like that.

Jihyo only sighed in defeat. Well, you can't change Im Nayeon's mind once she already made up her mind for something. "You really haven't change, have you?"

Nayeon shrugged and smiled. "Not the slightest."

Jihyo could only shake her head in disbelief. She couldn't still believe the 'happy go lucky Im Nayeon' was still the same even after years of being abroad. Sometimes, she thought Nayeon didn't even know the word stress. She always made decisions cause it was fun and thrilling. That was why she pushed traveling the world for photography and leaving their family business to her older sister. Her reason? 'Paperworks stress the hell out of me. I don't want it.' While other siblings fight for their right to be the next owner of their company, here she was, living in the way she believed the best for her. Well, it was not a bad thing but not a good thing either. Just like now, she agreed to a marriage cause it was her kind of fun. "Why do I have to deal with you everytime?" Jihyo sighed. "And seriously, Chaeyoung looks up to you a lot, like A LOT."

Nayeon laughed heartily. "Figuratively or literally speaking?"

"Both?" Jihyo groaned remembering an incident with Chaeyoung the last time. "That girl will be the death of me. I can't believe she just showed up to me one day with cute little tattoos on her body. I almost choke her."

Nayeon didn't even look surprised at all. Well, she expect nothing less from Chaeyoung – Jihyo's half sister who has motto in life 'you only live once'. "That's cool though." Nayeon could already imagine the scenario with Jihyo running after her sister while Chaeyoung laughing harmoniously, edging Jihyo more.

"Unnieeee!" Came a loud and excited voice from the entrance of the loving house.

Jihyo rolled her eyes. "Speaking of..."

Chaeyoung immediately hugged Nayeon who didn't even hesitate to do the same. "You're back!" She said excitedly.

"I am." Nayeon smiled then pulled out from the hug and looked at Chaeyoung. "Your sister has been complaining to me about something."

"Oh, I know what you mean. You mean these..." Chaeyoung proudly showed her tattoos to Nayeon and she thought it was kinda cute when she saw a strawberry and other fruits. "That's cool and cute at the same time!" Nayeon commented while checking it one by one.

"Please..." Jihyo sighed and glared at Nayeon. "Don't encourage her."

"Calm down Ji. It's just tattoos, it won't harm her."

"She won't understand it. We're the only cool ones here." Chaeyoung butted in while sticking her tongue out to her older sister.

"Tattoos are like marriage, it will be something permanent in your life. You can't just decide on it without having much thought of it." Jihyo scolded them both.

"Well, I do think of it a countless times. It's not a bad idea. See, I'm staying here for good, helps my family business to grow more and will have a pretty wife. See the perks?"

"Wait, marriage? Why are we suddenly talking about marriage?" The youngest one asked in confusion, looking from Nayeon to Jihyo then to Nayeon again while waiting for an answer.

"I'm getting married Chaengie." Nayeon told her with a plastered grin on her face.

"Really?!" Nayeon nodded. "That's cool and... sudden! But that's so you. I remember when you graduated college and you suddenly blurted out you want to travel the world, the next day you really did and flew out of Korea."

"I know." Nayeon smiled proudly. And yes, that was true and never did she regret that decision ever. Honestly speaking, she thought it was the best decision she ever made in her life.

Jihyo groaned in return. She shouldn't be surprised this was how Chaeyoung would react to that but she still was surprised. "I think if you even put milk first before your cereal, Chaeng here will still find you cool. And Hola, she will soon do the same."

"I tried it once though, just for experience. It's honestly cute, you know. It's like the cereals are taking a bath, floating on their backs."

Jihyo hung her mouth opened in disbelief and honestly, she just wanted to bang her head on a concrete wall. "Y-you did?"

Nayeon nodded proudly.

"I'll try it too then." Chaeyoung butted in again with amused twinkle in her eyes, like she was amazed by the idea of it.

"Okay, that's it! I'm leaving you two." Then she started walking back to the kitchen while grumbling "Why do I have to deal with these children everytime?" Leaving Nayeon and Chaeyoung laughing so hard.

They were enjoying riling Jihyo up, one of the cool duo's hobby.

🎶105 is the number that comes to my head
When I think of all the years I wanna be with you
Wake up every morning with you in my bed
That's precisely what I plan to do🎶

Mina gripped the papers of the project proposals she needed to review and approve for today. She was not used working with a pop music circling around her office. She let it slide though, she didn't want to be more stressed than she already was. So she tried continue working smoothly.

🎶And you know one of these days when I get my money right
Buy you everything and show you all the finer things in life
Will forever be enough, so there ain't no need to rush
But one day, I won't be able to ask you loud enough🎶

'Breathe in, breathe out. Relax Mina. Just ignore your loving friend who is sitting prettily on your couch while sipping her tea and scrolling through her phone with annoying smirk on her face.' She tried to console herself.

🎶I'll say will you marry me
I swear that I will mean it
I'll say will you marry me🎶

Mina groaned in annoyance. That was it. That was the last straw. She clearly reminded her friend — Chou Tzuyu – that anything about marriage or even related to it was forbidden ever since her grandfather threw the biggest bomb of the century to her plate. "Can you change it to a different song? You know I prefer classical music."

Tzuyu looked up to her in a brief moment then back to her phone again. "Why though? I like this song."

"No you don't. You just want to rub it on my face that I'm getting married."

Tzuyu put her left hand to her chest, looking at Mina with a great disbelief. "Oh, I thought it was a forbidden topic but you brought it up first."

Mina rubbed the bridge of her nose to calm her nerves. "Chou Tzuyu! I swear..."

"Okay fine..." Tzuyu laughed heartily, she was loving the reaction from her friend so far. She wouldn't back out in teasing her good friend though. This only happens once in a blue moon as what they say. But before she could even change the song to another teasing one, Mina spoke up again, glaring over the paper she was currently reading. "And don't even dare changing it to something about marriage again."

"I'm not even thinking of that. You were always the one bringing things up."

"You're not a good liar as you think you are, Tzuyu. So try fooling yourself."

Tzuyu conceded. "Fine." Her fun teasing Mina lived shortly.

While Jihyo was still engross in whatever she was doing in the kitchen, it was time for the cool duo to talk seriously.

"Chaengie..." Nayeon called the younger one as soft as she could. She didn't want Jihyo to hear this, solely because she didn't want her friend to see her uncool and worried side.

"What is it?" Chaeyoung turned to her and was surprised to see Nayeon has trouble in her gleaming eyes. Okay, that's a first cause this rarely happens. "What's the matter?"

"The truth is..." Nayeon contemplated on how to share her worry. But it would be uncool of her to lie on Chaeyoung's face. "...in all honesty, I- I- I don't-"

"Just say it unnie, it's okay." The younger one assured her.

Nayeon sighed. "I honestly don't know how should I act in front of a pretty girl. Well, in front of my future wife. Cause you know... I never dated anyone before."

Chaeyoung snorted. "How do you even know she's a pretty girl? And you barely find anyone pretty enough for you to be this worried."

"Well, I saw her pictures and read articles about her in Forbes magazine once. Okay, maybe twice, not just once, and I stared at it for a good five minutes or more. She's really pretty, Chaeyoungie. I swear. I thought I saw an angel."

"Forbes magazine? Isn't that a magazine for the top business executive kind of articles and informations?"

"Yes. That is."

"And she's already one of them? Are you marrying someone in her 30's? Isn't Yoona unnie should be the one handling that?"

"What?! Of course not! She's a young executive and really successful. I think we're on the same age or I'm older by one to two years." Nayeon's eyes widened at the new realization. "And now that I really think of it, I guess I am in a deep trouble. I was so engrossed and mesmerized with her looks and didn't even pay much attention to her achievements and works."

Chaeyoung frowned at her. "Meaning?"

"I am doomed!" Nayeon shouted and ended up standing up from her seat while running her hand on her soft brown hair.

The younger's frown became deeper. She didn't get her point. "I don't get it unnie. Calm down."

Nayeon started pacing left and right, making Chaeyoung dizzy. "She's not just pretty girl but also successful in her career. It makes her even more intimidating in my mind."

Jihyo suddenly emerged to the kitchen entrance, looking at them with a lot of questions in her eyes. "What's with the shouting?"

But Nayeon was fast to keep her cool when she heard Jihyo's voice. She couldn't make her think that she was regretting saying yes to the arranged marriage and admit she was right that maybe she's not ready for this.

"Nothing. Nayeon unnie just reenacting one of her great adventure in Paris." Chaeyoung immediately dismissed her sister's curiosity.

"You're both hopeless." Jihyo just rolled her eyes and got back to the kitchen. 'They think they're cool but they're just both hopeless.' She thought to herself and get back to her work.

Chaeyoung soon grabbed Nayeon's wrist to stop her from pacing and made her sit next to her. "Calm down your nerves. She farts and drools too like a normal person."

Nayeon grimaced at her. "That's a weird way of consoling me, Chaengie but... but that would do. You're right. She's a human too, no need for me to feel intimidated even she looks like an angel with a lot of achievements in her sleeves and... and..."

"Okay, stop right there. You're rambling."

"Am I?" Nayeon groaned. "That's so uncool."

"This is the reason why I told you to try to date even just once in your life. Now look at yourself, you're a rambling mess with just the thought of her!" Chaeyoung scolded the older one. She was surprised though, this was her first time seeing Nayeon this worried about something.

"Right... right. Wait, what?" Nayeon scoffed. "That's rich coming from you. You never dated anyone before too!" Nayeon pointed an accuse finger to the younger one.

"That's because you never did! You knew I'm following your footsteps."

Nayeon sighed. "Okay, that makes sense."

"We need to think of this carefully."

"Right. I don't want to get a first bad impression from my future wife."

Chaeyoung was already formulating everything in her head. After a few good minutes of racking her brain she finally spoke up again. "Okay, this is what you need to do."

Nayeon attentively listened to every word she said all throughout the conversation and nodded appreciatively after. "Okay, I got it!"

Mina walked gracefully towards the car waiting for her arrival. She was surrounded by six bulky bodyguards her future father-in-law got for her. Even the driver was from the Im's who was task to bring the Myoui's one and only heiress to Im's mansion safely. She was alone though, cause her parents and her grandfather took a flight the other day while she still had some things to sort out at the company.

Mina took her chance to glance at the city of Seoul. It's been 4 or 5 years, she was not sure exactly, since she last visited the place. Many things had changed. It became more livelier than before but the bitter taste of memories were still there, hurting her. She stopped her reminiscing before she could even dive deeper.

She focused herself on the current reason why she was in Korea in the first place. She was thoroughly surprised when the first time she heard from her parents that she was marrying someone from Im who was known for their successful entertainment company just like theirs, the one who they couldn't beat in Korea. Fortunately, they dominated Japan and have loyal fans since then until now.

'It's a good business move. Maybe this marriage isn't that bad at all.' She thought to herself. 'We both don't know each other. Maybe my future wife thought the same and just want to be civilly married in front of our families and other people. We just have to be good at pretending or acting.'

After 30 minutes, she finally arrived and she was impressed by the Im's mansion. It was a modern one. And just by the look of the mansion from the outside, it was furnished in all white. That was a good impression for a neat freak like her.

She was greeted by another set of bodyguards and maids. One of them lead her to the living room where everyone was waiting for her.

She took her time looking around inside while on their way to the living room. And she was once again impressed by the choice of their furnitures.

"There she is!" Mina's grandfather announced when he saw her.

The other people inside the room stood up from their seats and turned to her direction while greeting Mina with a smile which she reciprocated generously and gave her parents and grandfather a peck on their cheeks.

"I'm Myoui Mina. It is nice meeting you all." She greeted the family in front of them with another warm smile and a bow to show respect.

"What a lovely lady. It's nice finally meeting you too." Someone who she summed up as the founder of Im's company greeted her.

Before she could even respond back, someone who just came in spoke up. "Is this her?" A loving and velvety voice suddenly hit Mina's ears. She immediately turned to where that voice came and was greeted by a gorgeous girl in her floral dress which hugged her curves perfectly. Damn, Mina was gawking at her.

The said girl, who looked like a goddess in Mina's eyes, immediately pulled the gawking girl in for a hug. Mina cursed in her mind again. 'Damn, she smells so good too.'

"Myoui Mina, right?" She asked her with a lovely smile and Mina dumbly nodded her head.

"I think she's too good for my sister, don't you think?" She asked the Ims who chuckled in response at the statement. "Oh, I'm Im Yoona by the way."

Mina finally held her bearings back after hearing that.'Wait, what? Her sister? She isn't the one I'll be marrying?' She frowned to herself and feeling a little disappointed.

"They will be a good pair. Nayeon will be good now." The elder Im said while looking amusedly at Mina.

Then as if on cue, another girl came in. Mina immediately fixed her eyes on her. A girl in her tight black ripped jeans and gray hoodie which looked big for her size, matching it with a white sneakers and wearing nerd glasses approached the Im's side. Mina immediately caught the smug look on her face that made her thoroughly annoyed with reasons she didn't even know, even without a word coming from that smug looking over confident girl.

"Hey Pops! You look good and healthy today." She greeted her grandfather just like that without any hint of respect. Then proceeded to salute to her parents and asked her sister for high five.

Mina wanted to face palm herself. 'THIS IS NIGHTMARE! THIS ISN'T HAPPENING IN MY LOVING LIFE!' Honestly, she wanted to lash out and scream at her own grandfather. Sweet he said. Well-mannered he said. Well, she painfully admitted that being cute was all she could check from the list of all the qualities her grandfather told her. 'But that doesn't even validate a shit!' She screamed in her mind. 'Do they really want me to marry her?'

"I'm Im Nayeon, it's nice finally meeting you Mina." While Nayeon handed out her right hand to Mina for a formal handshake.

Mina discreetly frowned at the first name basis. 'And Oh God! Did she just wink at me?! She doesn't even know how to do it properly. I can't believe this girl. She seriously doesn't have shame.' She really wanted to roll her eyes and gave this girl a nasty look but she thought better of it, instead she accepted the handshake and immediately realized how huge the girl's hand was. She didn't know at the moment if it was a turn on or not.

"It's nice to meet you too." She said. 'No, it's not. It's not freaking nice meeting you.' She thought to herself while flashing a forced smile. She then gave her parents and grandfather a disapproving look but they just shrugged it off in response.

"Let's head to the dinning area, shall we?" Yoona said with a smile.

Nayeon might be cool looking outside but honestly, she was anything but that. She was a little late because she took her time calming her nerves while taking a short stroll with her brand new motorcycle around the area near their mansion.

'Wear your most comfortable clothes.' She kept that in mind. That was what Chaeyoung first told her. So here she was in her comfy clothes – ripped fitted jeans, sneakers and hoodie. And due to her nervousness, she forgot to wear her contact lenses so she was wearing her nerdy glasses. She admitted she looked cute in those glasses.

After a good 10 minutes, she finally decided to head back. She felt a little calmer now but it soon left her body when her eyes caught her older sister waiting for her at the front door, tapping her right foot impatiently. "She's already here. Where the hell have been Nayeon?"

She flashed an apologetic smile to her sister but before she could even reply, Yoona gestured her to come in. "Let's go."

'Okay, this is it. Just calm down. She's a human too. She won't eat you alive. Just do what Chaeyoung told you to.' She kept mumbling those words under her breath.

Yoona first made her entrance while she stopped for a while taking deep breaths. 'She farts, she drools, she picks her nose like a normal person. I can do this! Just be yourself and smile confidently. Don't make her see that you are a coward. That would be uncool.'

She gathered all her courage and finally took a step inside the living room. Her eyes immediately caught the down to earth figure wearing a pastel pink dress that made her wanted to drool right away. 'Oh shit! Those magazines and pictures on the internet were freaking liars! She's even more beautiful in real life. Damn! I'm not ready for this! I want to blame her photographer for that. They didn't bring out the best of her in those pictures.'

She continued walking until Mina's eyes landed on her, scanning her with her eyes from head to toe which made Nayeon even more nervous than she already was. 'Don't be a mumbling mess. Don't be a mumbling mess. Don't be a mumbling mess.' She chanted in her mind. 'Just act cool, just like what Chaeyoung told you to.'

She flashed her a charming smile. That was what she thought but Mina saw it very differently. But don't blame Nayeon, her nervousness was eating her alive.

She greeted her family first and kept in her mind what Chaeyoung advised about it too, 'Show her that you are close to your family, like you're friends with them too.' So she greeted them like they were close friends.

She had a chance of clearly seeing Mina a little closer while introducing herself properly and damn, she wanted to curse out loud when she saw her attractive scattered moles on her face that in quick instance reminded her of constellation in a night beautiful sky. 'That's illegal!' And her hand feels so damn soft. 'Is she allowed to exist?'

Mina didn't look impressed though. So she did what Chaeyoung told her to. She winked at her direction while showing her infamous bunny smile. Chaeyoung insisted it is one of her greatest asset and she also said that a wink was a way of flirting and showing you're interested in that person (even she terribly failed cause she couldn't wink properly).

At the dinning table, Nayeon took her seat across Mina at the further part of the long table. She flashed her another smile which Mina kindly returned. 'I think she's warming to me.' Nayeon thought to herself with a smile, feeling a little proud of herself.

'Can she stop smiling and looking at me from time to time? It's starting to get so uncomfortable.' Mina thought to herself while silently eating her food, forcing herself to just ignore those eyes that was clearly set on her.

Nayeon would occasionally join the conversation, throwing some lame jokes that would make the elders laugh at her silliness while her sister could only shake her head with a smile. And Mina? She remained just silently listening and maybe still annoyed at the loud Im Nayeon sitting across her, talking with a mouthful of food. 'I hate loud people. And please, show some manners.' She thought to herself with a discreet scowl.

Nayeon placed a grilled beef to Mina's plate which took Mina by surprise while the surrounding people teased them.

"You're such a sweet girl, Nayeon." Mina's Dad complimented her.

"I am." Nayeon smiled widely. She should thank Chaeyoung for suggesting that.

Mina could only look at the meat on her plate. 'She used her own used chopsticks! There's clearly a serving utensils there.' Mina thought to herself. Called Mina a neat freak or whatever you want but that how she is, it was insanitary for her. She thought that would be sweet if only they were close enough to do so or a real lovers but no, they weren't, not even the slightest of friends. They just fucking met an hour ago! And the girl already making moves on her. 'She really want this marriage, doesn't she?'

They're now eating their desserts when Nayeon thought of messaging her cool friend. She discreetly took out her phone from her pocket and typed in her message.

To: Chaeyoung
[09:32 PM]: I did everything you told me to. I don't know if she like it tho. I can't read her expression but she smiled at me once or twice.

She put her phone back in her pocket and continued eating.

After a few minutes, she felt her phone vibrate inside her pocket.

From: Chaeyoung
[09:38 PM]: If you follow all my instructions and tips, you'll be good unnie.

She looked at Mina then got back immediately to her phone with a frown and typed in a new message.

To: Chaeyoung
[09:39 PM] I did, I swear. But why is she glaring at me right now?
