“just look at me! tell me how you feel, instead of shoving me to the side. i don’t deserve this! stop hiding from me. look me in the eyes- tell me you don’t love me.”
it was silent for a small moment. she chuckled out of spite into her hand, resting seeming permanently stuck to her forehead.
“how could i love you?” its hard not to laugh at the situation, not because its funny, but out of shock. or honestly shock and confrontation. she did this to herself.
“i don’t even like you. i thought it was obvious but here we are. you really are funny you know, its just so stupid.” she was too quiet. she meant it. and the longer it was quiet the deeper it cut into her heart. she knew she wasn’t in love. in fact she didn’t even believe it was a real thing. she was in love with the idea of being loved. the other girl put stepped toward her and put her hand on her shoulder.
“its so funny because you really thought this was real. nah, this joke has been played on too long, hun”
she knows what shes saying. she knew how to use every word to her advantage, to make every syllable hurt so much more.
