Bobby loved to watch his wife do anything. He loved how strong she was, how calm, kind, and loving she was. Hell, he just flat out loved her.
After his first wife and their children died, he didn’t think he’d be able to love again. He was afraid he’d mess it up, or not live up to a woman’s expectations.
With Athena, Bobby didn’t have to worry about that. She loved him as he was, flaws and all. She loved him, helped him, and made him a better person. She helped him stop being so afraid.
He loved spending time with May and Harry, and though they would never replace his biological children, he loved them just the same. He looked up when his wife walked over to him.
Athena smiled when she got out of her car after a long day and saw her husband as he stood on the porch and waited for her. “This is a pretty nice welcome. What’s the occasion?”
Bobby smiled as well, kissed his wife and then pulled back and said, “No occasion. I just wanted to see you as soon as you got home so that I could kiss you.”
