Everything was doing well. His business is steadily making its way up, he had fulfilled his dreams, he had everything he ever wanted, but why does he look sad despite it all? He was so lucky to made it up to where he is right now, so soon, but why does he always cry? What is with his lonely heart at night that he keeps crying himself to sleep. Every night he comes home to the feeling of emptiness. Every night he wonders if he will be happy even without fulfilling his dreams, because despite having his dreams coming true, the feeling of emptiness never left him. The feeling that something, someone, is still missing never left.
The day the second anniversary of his company arrived, came a bouquet of flowers addressed to him but none of where or who it came from. Purple Hydrangeas. With it came a note reading:
The One Thing
Look at you. You’ve stitched your life so perfectly together.
You worked so damn hard to get to where you are, and
now you have everything you ever wanted. So why do you keep
looking back at the one thing that can undo it all?

Tears started falling from his eyes. There might not be a name from where the flowers came from, but he knew very well who sent them. Thinking about that person only brought more tears to fall. ❝Even after all of these he still kept supporting me.❞ he had thought. ❝But the note.❞ he glanced at the note on his hand. ❝Does that mean he wants me to let him go?❞
