Work Text:
The moment Jungkook finally enters his full length, Jimin stops resisting the urge to hiss for the first time since Jungkook started teasing him.
It feels like Jungkook’s cock is splitting him open and considering that hissing is in his nature, if Jungkook has any problems with that, he can go and fuck himself.
“Holy fuck,” he hears Jungkook murmur close to his ear, clearly not having any problems with Jimin’s hissing. “You feel so fucking good, Jimin-ah. So fucking good.”
Jimin cries out, his nails dig into Jungkook’s upper arms so hard that he is pretty sure Jungkook is going to have nail marks for days. Which doesn’t sound so bad to Jimin. Not at all.
“Of course, I do,” Jimin says easily, even though his voice sounds a bit breathless to his own ears. He hits Jungkook’s arm to cover it. “Stop teasing me already! Fuck me, come on. Move.”
Jungkook drags himself almost completely off from Jimin and, because he is a fucking brat, he pushes back quickly, bottoms out in a single thrust, making Jimin squirm under him. “Demanding. You want my cock that bad, huh.”
“Shut up, oh my God,” Jimin groans. “Are you going to move today?”
Jungkook laughs, but Jimin feels his cock move deep inside him. He starts fucking Jimin earnestly as the grip his hands have on Jimin’s ass gets tighter around Jimin’s tail. His kiss-swollen mouth curls up into a smirk, because Jungkook uses power on his tail ever since he realised how much it affects him. He raises his face to kiss Jimin and one of his ears falls like how they usually do when he is excited.
What an adorable, overgrown bunny. Jimin wants to fucking bite him.
“Harder. You can go harder than this,” Jimin says under his breath against his lips. “You know you can.”
As he is curling his thighs around Jungkook, the bunny hybrid kisses him once more before he starts slamming up into him faster and harder, obeying. Jimin whimpers, his back arching up and his cock that is trapped between their bodies rubbing against Jungkook’s abs with each trust.
Jungkook swears. “Fuck. You take my cock so well, hyung. You are so loose for me.” His cock slightly touches over Jimin’s prostate, teasing it. “You are the best I have ever had.”
Jimin moans, his jaw clenched. “Fuck me. Fuck your hyung. Come on,” he demands, trying not to focus on Jungkook’s praises too much.
Still, the weight of Jungkook on his body feels amazing. Even when Jimin is the one who is fucking him, he likes it when Jungkook is on top of him because of that. He removes one of his hands from Jungkook’s arms and trails it between them to curl his fingers around his neglected cock. He gives himself a few of long, lingering strokes before he begins pumping his cock at the same pace of their trusts.
He knows it isn’t going to take much for him to come after Jungkook sucking him off and then filling him up with his cock, inch after inch, playing with him like a doll. He has been edging Jimin, the fucking asshole.
Jimin still tries to match his thrusts, giving it back as good as he gets, but once Jungkook changes his position and finds Jimin's prostate, Jimin clenches around him, getting too lost in his own pleasure. He tosses his head back, his hand jacking himself faster as Jungkook’s thrusts pick up speed.
“Stay there,” he hears his own voice yell, his mouth opened wide. “Just right there! Fucking hell.”
Jungkook laughs breathlessly against his lips and he rams his cock into Jimin, grinding against his prostate relentlessly, the sounds of their skin slapping against each other filling the room.
“Yes, fuck, just like that, yes, so good,” Jimin praises as he slams himself back onto Jungkook’s cock and jerks him off wet and fast. “You are fucking your hyung so good.” He is so fucking close, the heat of his orgasm filling every inch of his body. “Gonna come.”
Letting out a choked out sob, Jimin’s muscles tighten on Jungkook’s cock. It takes twenty or so seconds for the wave of pleasure overtake him and Jimin to come with a sob, trembling and spilling into his hand and all over between their bodies. Luckily, Jungkook follows him only seconds later, pressing his cock as deep as it’ll go into Jimin’s hole, his warm semen filling Jimin up.
Jimin’s right hand passes to Jungkook’s cheek tiredly. And he kisses Jungkook tenderly once more as he is caressing his skin, his eyes closed.
Jimin had heard about Jungkook before he met him.
Of course, he did. He doesn’t live in a cave.
He is certain that everyone who has a social life in their university has heard about Jeon Jungkook, the huge bunny hybrid that is apparently good at everything he does. But he had not seen him before they met. He knew he must be taller than him even though bunny hybrids are usually smaller. And he knew he was a regular in their university's gym, but their schedule must be very different because they had never come across each other before. But there is also the fact that Jeon Jungkook is 'the cool and the mysterious kid' of their school.
If only they knew the truth.
Truth be told, Jimin was curious about him. Not only because he is a fox hybrid and they are curious naturally, but he also was curious about why people were so obsessed with him. He even listened to some stories of how some of the weirdos stalked the places Jungkook goes regularly, like some restaurants or cafes. Some of them even started to go to their university's gym to see him.
That screams like a good time to fill some restraining orders to Jimin, but he learns that Jungkook is truly a softie and equally too lazy to do that.
The said 'cool and mysterious kid' of their school is actually a weeb. There. Jimin said it. He is so much of a weeb that Taehyung, the weeb-est (is this even a word?) person Jimin has known before Jungkook, has the proudest expression on his face every time they talk about some anime or some video games. As if they are what gives meaning to their lives.
Actually, prior to their meeting, Namjoon had told them that people’s view on Jungkook is quite incorrect. Jimin should have believed him from the moment he told them this, because Namjoon has known Jungkook probably longer than those people.
Thinking of Jungkook as some mysterious badass… Not that he isn't a badass, but for Jimin, he is a baby at the same time.
He is also very introverted and even though he can be quite fun to be around when he is close to you, he definitely avoids meeting new people or going to crowded places like his life depends on it.
Which is pretty ironic because they met at a party three months ago. Yes... A university party.
The party was one of the 'fuck yeah, midterms are over' parties people love to throw and Jimin and Taehyung both loved Seokjin too much to attend any other parties but his. And Seokjin was also close with Taehyung's boyfriend, Yoongi, and Namjoon for years because they were roommates before Taehyung moved to live with Yoongi and left Jimin alone (fucking simp) and Namjoon moved closer to the campus because of his schedule.
First thing Jimin acknowledged about Jeon Jungkook was that he was very, very handsome. That he was absolutely fucking stunning. He had this pretty and shy smile. And big, sparkly eyes. He didn’t talk much. And still had this weirdly calming aura around him.
Jimin recalls that as the unfamiliar predator hybrid, he had been trying to lower his pheromones around Jungkook and act calmer than his usual self. Because, you know, he only knew that Jungkook was a bunny hybrid and they can get scared easily from what he remembers from their high school classes. And Jimin has a tendency to come across as too much for most people, especially for prey hybrids since he can be very socially demanding or too friendly or something like that.
Yet, Jungkook proved him wrong by declaring that his favourite movie genre is horror. Jimin doesn't even remember how they started talking about movies or why he was that shocked or why they were left alone in the first place, but he found himself agreeing to watch a movie with Jungkook later that week.
And Jimin fucked him that night.
He also doesn't remember how they found themselves in Jungkook's room later that night, but he remembers the moment they started kissing, how he peeled Jungkook's clothes off from him without any hurry. He remembers fingering Jungkook until the moment the bunny hybrid started begging for his cock. How tight he felt once Jimin was finally inside him.
Unfortunately, being a law student meant that Jimin didn't have a healthy and regular sex life before Jungkook came into his life, so it caused Jimin to came a bit earlier than usual and than he would have liked.
Still, as a gentleman, he ate Jungkook out and jerked him off until he came all over himself.
And honestly, after that night, he thought he would never hear anything from Jungkook unless they encounter each other on campus or something like that. He didn't know Jungkook was a shy person yet, but from what he heard from people previously, he didn't think Jungkook would use the number Jimin left on his night-stand.
But he did. He texted Jimin and asked him if on Wednesday he wanted to go to the new horror movie they talked about.
Jimin couldn't even remember which movie it was at first because, as he mentioned, he really couldn't remember where this horror movie subject came from and what movie they talked about. He said yes anyway because first of all, Wednesday was (and still is) his free day and secondly, Jeon Jungkook is too hot. Jimin loved so many things in life, but hot guys would be definitely on his top ten list.
Frankly, his curiosity about Jungkook played an important part in saying yes.
As a fox hybrid, Jimin is already friendly (sometimes too much) and inquisitive (most of the time) by nature. And not receiving a message from Jungkook for days, and then him sending a message about going to the movies when Jimin was unexpecting it, fueled Jimin's interest in him. He is at another level. Jimin is certain that he is sent to this world to prove how stereotyping is bullshit. Jungkook's favourite hobby is fighting and wrestling with Seokjin, for fuck’s sake.
But Jungkook became one of Jimin’s good friends effortlessly. Yes, he was Namjoon’s friend first, but he became friends with all of them easily, fitting in their group like he belonged with them.
And honestly, Jimin doesn't know many bunny hybrids in general. Yes, he is friends with so many predator hybrids, but he has so many prey hybrids as friends, too. Most of his best friends are predators (like Taehyung, a tiger hybrid and Seokjin, a husky dog hybrid) because he met them when he was staying at his first dorm and preys are put together by the university management.
The biggest reason for this is that the old-school prey hybrid families still fill their children against predator hybrids. Which is forty per cent understandable but sixty per cent unnecessary. They don’t live in ancient times anymore. And Jimin has Namjoon and Hoseok now. He has Jungkook.
Yoongi is a wolf hybrid and he is the calmest person ever. Namjoon, who is a koala hybrid, is provenly more dangerous than them with the way he breaks everything around him. And Hoseok, who is a horse hybrid, becomes the scariest person Jimin has ever seen when he is angry.
And Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook is the purest and the equally most sinister person he has ever met in his entire life. He is the purest because he cuddles with Jimin and fucking purrs as Jimin pets him. He is a walking sin because every single time Jimin sees him, he wants to mount him right there. Or kidnap him and put him inside his hidden treat box.
But mostly both. He would never admit it out loud, though.

According to Google, the definition of stealing is taking someone’s property without permission or legal right and without intending to return it.
The first time Jimin took one of Jungkook’s clothes with him happened accidentally. The second time they hooked up and Jimin stayed the night, he realised that he took Jungkook’s t-shirt when he arrived at his own home the next day. Fox hybrids’ nesting habits are den nesting. Which means that his entire house feels like a nest to him. His special place. His house is basically a shoebox sized, but it is his shoebox. So, when he noticed how at ease he felt by a single clothing of Jungkook being inside his den, he also realised that he wouldn’t mind Jungkook entering any of his special places that he feels territorial about.
After a while, once they started having sex regularly, the biggest and weirdest habit that is related to Jungkook Jimin started to have was to start taking Jungkook's clothes home with him. Jungkook calls it stealing. Yet, the question of whether this could be called stealing is open to debate because he does it in front of Jungkook. Yes, he is pretty shameless about it.
It may be considered as an implicit permission from Jungkook since he remains silent to this or just passive-aggressively puts up some words once or twice and continues to ignore it although he sees Jimin wearing his clothes all the time.
When he explains this to Jungkook for the thousand and five hundredth time, Jungkook throws him a narrowed sideways glance, lowering his phone. “Just because you know how to use some law words doesn’t make it not stealing,” he disagrees, his nose wrinkled. “I have to buy some new clothes because of you.”
Jimin would have taken his words seriously if Jungkook’s tone didn’t give him away. He snorts, sticking out his tongue. “You are making it a bigger deal than it is because you have to get out and socialise with people. Online shopping exists, Jungkook.”
Jungkook rolls his eyes, but a smile teases his lips. “I know it does. You are the one who has problems with technology, not me,” he states. “I prefer trying clothes before buying them.”
“Can’t relate,” Jimin half-lies amusedly. He loves both shopping outside and online shopping. “But truly, I would not have guessed that. It makes sense, though. You are too much of a perfectionist.”
“How does preferring trying the clothes I am going to pay money for mean I am a perfectionist?” Jungkook asks, quirking an eyebrow. “Do you want to elaborate on that, hyung?”
Jimin shrugs. “You tell me.” He scoots over on the mattress until his back hits the headboard of Jungkook’s bed. “I love this bedsheet, by the way. Is it new? Feels very smooth. Good job at choosing them. Did you try them before you bought them, too?”
Jungkook snorts, shaking his head. He sets his phone on the desk before he walks over to the bed. His eyes look intense as he crawls to Jimin. He smirks as he swings his legs over Jimin, settling on his lap as he strangles Jimin thighs.
“Sure, let’s say I did,” Jungkook says, amusement audible in his tone. “Would you like me to show you how I tried them?”
Jimin’s hand moves to Jungkook’s nape, grabbing it softly. Jungkook allows him to tip his head down.
The kiss starts at a slow pace. Like they have all the time in the world. They used to only have these urgent, rough kisses. A heated kiss you have before you move on to something bigger. But Jimin thinks he prefers this kind of a kiss now.
His fingers reach up to gently brush over Jungkook’s cheek. Jungkook sighs into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Jimin’s neck, kissing him tentatively. He slides his fingers into Jungkook’s hair, tilting his head back to the right angle to deepen the kiss.
Jimin parts his lips to kiss him more languidly, savouring Jungkook's lips before Jungkook sucks his lower lip into his mouth, making Jimin let out a small whine.
From the first moment they kissed, Jimin acknowledged that Jungkook was such a good kisser. But now, his tongue curls against Jimin’s like it belongs with it.
“I guess it means you do,” Jungkook mutters, breaking the kiss, his eyes still closed.
Jimin kisses the mole under his bottom lips before he captures his mouth in another kiss. Moving to kiss his way down his throat, his hands travel to fist in Jungkook’s t-shirt. Jungkook raises his arms enough to let Jimin pull his shirt over his head.
He doesn’t feel like giving Jungkook a verbal answer. When he will fuck him into a whimpering mess, that is going to be enough of an answer anyway.

Jimin unintentionally learns that he was the first person who has fucked Jungkook. And three months after it happened.
Jimin has met one or two of Jungkook’s friends before, but it cannot be said that he has spent any proper time with any of them. This includes Jungkook's bunny hybrid roommate.
This is a bit ridiculous considering that although Jimin lives alone, they spend more time at Jungkook’s because the apartment he is staying at is closer to their campus. Yet, because Jungkook's roommate almost never spends time at home, or because when Jimin comes to Jungkook, they are usually in Jungkook's room for the obvious reasons, Jimin cannot claim that he knows Sungho at all.
So when he walks into the small living room and finds Jungkook and Sungho sitting on the couch, casually talking about how Sungho is a little bit afraid of bottoming, he freezes on the spot first. But what makes him drop his phone on the floor and gape at the bunny hybrids in front is when Jungkook opens his mouth and says, “Jimin hyung was my first, so I wouldn’t say predator hybrids would be rough all the time.”
The sound of the phone dropping to the ground causes Jungkook and his roommate to turn their gaze to him, their rabbit ears allerted.
“Shit. Sorry,” Jimin mumbles. He leans and picks up his phone, which has a cracked screen right now.
Jungkook lifts an eyebrow like he was talking about the weather or something unimportant so he doesn’t get Jimin’s reaction. They stare at each other for a few seconds.
“Did it break?” Jungkook questions then.
“Yeah. The edge of the screen only, though.” He attempts to give a comforting smile to them as he stumbles over the couch. “Hello, Sungho-ssi.”
“Hello, Jimin-ssi,” Sungho greets back, pink blooming his cheeks.
“Let me see your phone, hyung,” Jungkook says, holding his hand as Jimin flops down next to him. “Did we wake you up?”
“No, you didn’t.” Jimin slides his phone to Jungkook’s waiting hand.
Sungho clears his throat, his cheeks looking redder than before. What a baby. “Ugh. I have to go to my room to gather my stuff. Have a good day, guys. Nice to see you again, Jimin-ssi.”
“You too.”
Sungho shyly smiles at them before he stands up and starts walking backwards over to his room as he gives them a small wave with his hand.
He is honestly a pure baby, Jimin thinks. He feels a warm touch on his thigh. He glances up to Jungkook, hearing a door closing noise behind them.
“Is everything okay, hyung?” Jungkook asks, his tone lowered. He turns the back of the phone and spins its screen again, probably examining the damage.
“Yes. I am being my usual clumsy self.”
Jungkook gives him a look that says he isn’t buying it, humming softly. “I can change your screen later if you want me to.”
“Oh, that would be good. Thank you, Jungkook-ah.”
“Was it the sex talk?” Jungkook inquires bluntly, cocking his head. His tone sounds confident but the blush dusting his cheeks gives him away. “Even if you can be quite shameless about everything and anything most of the time, I know that you aren’t comfortable talking about this kind of stuff like us bunny hybrids are with each other.”
This is not entirely true. Jimin just avoids talking about these issues with Jungkook. What are they even going to talk about? How they have sex all the time? About Jimin not having sex with anyone but him since they started this? He just cannot predict the consequences of talking about it.
But it looks like they are really going to talk about Jungkook’s comment, right?
“I guess I just don’t get why you didn’t tell me it was your first time,” Jimin tries to explain, leaning his back against the couch.
“It wasn’t my first time having sex,” Jungkook says. “It was only my first time as the bottom. I didn’t think it was a huge deal. It is solely sex, so I didn’t see it as something that important.”
“But-” Jimin begins, but stops to gather his thoughts before he processes on. “Well, what if I went too hard? What if I did something that hurt you? I would have been more careful if I knew.”
“I would have told you to slow down or stop, hyung. I just didn’t have sex with a male as a bottom before. That was it. Believe me, I would have stopped you if you made me uncomfortable. I liked bottoming for you. I still do. I would have never done it again if it was a bad experience, okay?”
Okay, Jimin agrees with that. It is also an inevitable fact that Jungkook is physically stronger than Jimin. He would have stopped Jimin easily.
Yet still. It feels weird.
“And we were strangers back then,” Jungkook continues. “Wouldn’t it be a turn-off if the guy who brought you to his room told you something like that? Don’t overthink it please, Jimin-ah. It was just sex, really.”
Just sex. Yes. Maybe Jungkook is right. Jimin was a stranger to him back then. Whatever they have currently is simply a sexual relationship besides the friendship that built between them.
Jimin realises that he has been chewing his bottom lip. He releases it, then nods his head. “Okay, sure. I am not going to overthink about this.”
Jungkook smiles gently, scooting closer to him. He pecks Jimin’s lips, his hand squeezing Jimin’s thigh. “Let’s eat something before I fix your phone screen, shall we? I will get some kimchi for us.”
Taehyung and Yoongi’s apartment is a mess.
“Your apartment is a mess,” Jimin lets them know. “What is happening here? Why are there so many papers everywhere?”
“I have to do an experiment for my paper,” Yoongi answers at the same time Taehyung yells from the kitchen, “A scientific party!”
“What the fuck is a scientific party?”
“Taehyung thinks calling it an experiment is hurtful to the test mice,” Yoongi mumbles. “For the last time, they don’t understand human language Tae!”
Taehyung enters the living room, holding a fluffy thing inside his hand. “They are guinea pigs, not mice.”
“Stop petting my test subjects,” Yoongi scoffs. “I swear I am going to fight you.”
“Please stop flirting in front of me,” Jimin groans, sitting on the couch. This is basically their foreplay. They are weird like that.
“I am just trying to give love to them, making them feel more than what they are, as you do,” Taehyung declares, acting like he didn’t hear Jimin at all.
“No, I don’t, Taehyung. Please put it inside the box.”
“Then you should,” Taehyung grumbles as he turns his back to them and enters the kitchen again.
“What is the experiment about?” Jimin asks when Yoongi sits beside him. “Are you going to kill the mice?”
Jimin hears Taehyung gasp from the kitchen. “No! Why would I do that? It is just some silly psychological thing,” Yoongi says, waving a hand dismissively.
Jimin smiles because he knows Yoongi is understating his interest because he loves his studies more than anyone Jimin knows, including Namjoon who is also studying law like Jimin does and is basically a walking Wikipedia.
“I would love to hear more about it after I am done with having a crisis,” Jimin comments as Taehyung comes in front of him, dropping his body on Jimin. “Damn, you are heavy!”
“Lie,” Taehyung sing-songs, slipping next to Jimin. He tosses his legs over Jimin’s lap. “Is it an existential crisis?”
“I wish but sadly, it is not. It is a Jungkook crisis. What else could it be?”
“If you want psychological support, there will be a fee,” Yoongi says. “I am not going to give free advice from now on.”
“Also a lie. He loves giving advice,” Taehyung disputes. “And giving love advice is our forte, hyung. We are a loving, exemplary couple. Everyone should come to us for advice, actually. Knock yourself out, Jimin-ah. We will listen to your problems.”
Jimin sees Yoongi’s eyes narrow before he jabs a finger at Taehyung. “When I told you I loved you, you laughed nervously and gave me finger guns. And there is a huge space left on the couch, please move to the left a bit.”
“Yeah. No. And I don’t see a problem with my reaction, it worked out in the end, didn’t it? Now, what is the problem, Jimin-ah?”
“What do you think? The problem is that I am desperately in love with Jungkook and that even the smallest word he says can affect me.”
“I thought you were fighting or something like that. Why is this a problem?” Yoongi questions, pursing his lips.
“Yeah, I don’t understand why loving Jungkook is a problem,” Taehyung adds. “You are always with Jungkook. You are more tentacled than us. You live in his arms and sit on his lap even when he is with us. You can be the only couple who can fight with us for the example-couple title.”
“What? Putting my butt onto stuff is my way of claiming them. I do it to you guys too. I don’t think he sees it as a romantic thing.” Are they kidding? They must be. “And what do you mean you don’t understand how it is a problem? We aren’t a couple, maybe that is why?”
Yoongi snorts loudly, his tail rising up onto the couch. “I am not sure if you guys are aware of it then. You smell like him. You are wearing his clothes right now, Jimin. Just tell him how you feel about him. He is going to return your feelings.”
“Yeah… That sounds risky,” Jimin muses, his eyebrows knitted together. “I am going to have to say fuck no to that suggestion, since I don’t want to die from embarrassment if I get rejected.”
Yoongi gives him an exasperated look. “That is dumb. You are just being dumb right now. And a coward,” he says, but eyes are glinting with mischief. He is definitely trying to get a rise out of Jimin and make him take it as a challenge.
Jimin moans out an indignant noise. “I am here for advice for my nonexistent, sad love life, not for slander.”
“Your existence is asking for slander,” Yoongi counters. “The advice is that stop being a weak coward and learn to talk about your true feelings openly.”
Taehyung turns towards his boyfriend. “That was hot,” he chips in mildly, crawling to Yoongi’s lap, his tail wrapping itself around Yoongi’s arm. “I am going to marry your ass so bad, I swear.”
Jimin watches a broad smirk form on Yoongi’s face before he winds his arms around Taehyung’s waist. “Not if I marry you first,” he says.
Jimin squeaks. “This was too cheesy. And very cringy. You guys just crossed the line. And it doesn’t even make sense. I am leaving. Thanks for the unhelpful advice.” But he pulls his legs up onto the couch, tucking his feet under himself. Then he realises the new painting in the living room. “Is this a painting of Yeontan as baby Yoda and you as the mandalorian, Tae? Am I seeing this right?”
“Yep. I am making one for Holly and hyung, too. Do you want one with Jungkook as baby Yoda and-”
“Please stop talking. Let’s forget this conversation ever happened.”
Later that day, Taehyung declares that he needs to check the guinea pig, so he leaves Jimin and Yoongi alone in the living room. And Jimin normally likes spending time with Yoongi very much, but today it looks like he is going to not like it that much because the five words leave Yoongi’s mouth and they are; “You are so emotionally stupid.”
“What?” Jimin twists his body over him. “How?”
“Jimin. Jimin-ah, You entered the law faculty of one of the most difficult universities in the country as the first place. You are incredibly smart. However, when it comes to your relationships, you are a bit… questionable,” Yoongi says, his tone careful. “Genuinely, it shocks me how challenging and oblivious you are being about this.”
“Please elaborate on this,” Jimin pleas. “Because you are practically calling me dumb and I don’t get how.”
“Nope. But I will tell you this, stop focusing on the unsaid and try to be more open to see the actions of people around you. Then you will see what I was struggling to make you understand.”
“Sounds wise. Yet very unhelpful again. Thanks for nothing hyung!”
Yoongi rolls his eyes. “I am never listening to your relationship problems again, nor I am giving you any advice. Go fuck yourself.”
“Ditto, hyung. Ditto.”

Contrary to Yoongi’s belief, Jimin isn’t that dumb about his emotions.
Not when it comes to Jungkook, at least. It isn’t like he had never thought about talking to Jungkook about his feelings. After the first couple of times they hooked up and hung out as friends, he realised he started to like Jungkook more than friends. He acknowledged that there were romantic feelings arising inside him.
And Jimin avowed everything Yoongi and Taehyung said even before he listened to them.
As a fox hybrid, Jimin is pretty territorial. He hates sharing his stuff. He hates sharing his friends. He hates when people come into his marked personal areas, especially his bedroom. He has his own seat in the house that he doesn’t like when someone else sits on it. But apparently, these rules no longer apply to Jungkook.
And if you want to spend all of your time with someone, if you want to share every thought in your head with them, if getting a single text from them excites you… Yes, Jimin can do the math.
Jungkook has a personality that makes him get used to people and become more comfortable with them over time. Of course, it is normal for Jungkook to behave more naturally with time. The problem is that although Jimin saw changes in Jungkook's behaviour towards him, none of them showed that he had feelings for Jimin. The only difference Jimin sees between his attitude to himself and his mutual friends around them is the physical intimacy that comes from their sex life and that is it.
To be honest, he day-dreams about talking to Jungkook about his feelings sometimes. In those dreams, Jungkook does, in fact, return his feelings. But this is why it is called dreaming.
He has such a huge part in Jimin’s life now. It even feels weird to think about a time Jimin didn’t know Jungkook yet.
The idea of having a life without Jungkook, losing Jungkook’s friendship is terrifying for Jimin. And there is a big risk of that happening if Jungkook thinks they should stop seeing each other. He could decide that he doesn’t want Jimin in his life anymore. The idea of him hurting makes Jimin hurt.
How can he take that risk?
So, yeah, Jimin isn’t stupid. He is just scared of Jungkook leaving him.
But just like he mentioned, foxes are known as territorial animals.
Jimin’s territorial instincts can cause some possessiveness here and there. Jungkook doesn’t act too friendly with outsiders and Jimin respects his friends, but yeah, there are some times that he finds himself glaring at some people if they are focusing too much on Jungkook.
He doesn’t think Jungkook minds it, because he would like to believe Jungkook would have said something about it. There is no way he didn’t catch Jimin giving someone a side-look in these three-four months. Or he would have mentioned how Jimin scents him sometimes although they aren’t doing anything sexual.
But mostly, his territorial instincts make him very protective when it comes to people Jimin genuinely cares about.
Usually, people don’t try to fuck with Jungkook since they know him as this cool guy that is good at sports or something like that. Which he is, by the way. He is an amazing athlete. But sometimes, like right now, there are some predator hybrids who think they can prove how much stronger or important they are than Jungkook by being mean to Jungkook.
Now, that kind of shit boils Jimin’s blood.
And to think that they started their day off uneventful but also so nice. After preparing breakfast with Jungkook, they went to the cafe that is across Jimin’s apartment where they both discovered that they enjoyed studying at. Well, Jimin knew he liked that place to study because he cannot focus on studying without being distracted at his home and he doesn’t like libraries. And when he showed Jungkook the cafe where he likes to study, Jungkook really liked the environment, too.
The most important thing Jimin likes about this cafe is that it is not too crowded and is generally a place where other university students go to study.
Yet, their calming studying session that includes coffees and deserts gets distracted when a jackal hybrid decides to be an asshole and starts pointing a finger at Jungkook and starts talking about how Jungkook is a wannabe predator that should learn how to act like its own breed.
Jimin turns his face over to the guy, who is laughing with his friend but is apparently a coward, enough to avert his gaze when he realises Jimin is glaring at them. When his eyes return to his own table, he notices that Jungkook has a neutral expression on his face, looking down on his laptop. But it isn’t his ‘i am focused on my work’ face.
If it was two months ago, Jimin might have not seen it as a problem. He could perceive this behaviour as Jungkook ignoring the spoken words, unfazed about the behaviour towards him. It isn’t completely wrong, because Jungkook mostly doesn’t care. It wasn’t the first time that kind of shit happened in front of Jimin, so there is no way that didn’t happen when he was alone too.
However, Jimin now knows Jungkook much better. He is acting too casual to actually be casual. The biggest reason for his neutral expression is to hide how uncomfortable he is from hearing such things in front of his friends and not to cause trouble for them. Jungkook is a natural caretaker and he takes care of you until he trusts you enough to take care of him. He hates being seen as a nuisance. He is remarkably good at not showing his discomfort.
“Do you want another latte?” Jimin asks, smiling in a woeful attempt to act casual. “I am going to get another chocolate cookie. I can get you one, too.”
Jungkook glances up to him. Then he looks at the empty coffee cup in front of himself and returns his gaze to Jimin, a half-smile appearing on his face. “Sure, hyung. Thank you.”
Jimin cannot help but think that how smiling suits Jungkook a lot more. He gets up from his seat to get the said latte for Jungkook. And if he bribes his favourite barista to give him the name of the bill of the asshole jackal hybrid, it isn’t anybody’s business.
And if he stalks the guy and finds his university and makes all of their friends mail them about the ‘unacceptable behaviour towards prey hybrids’ and how it is against their university’s policy, it is still nobody’s business, but him.
Well, at least he didn’t try to attack the guy again, right?

The idea of going to a party a month before their finals came from Hoseok.
And don't get it wrong, Jimin loves partying as much as every regular university student. He likes dancing, having fun with his friends surrounding him. He likes meeting new people. He likes the freeing feelings that come with being intoxicated.
Yet, he didn't feel like partying today. He would never say no to his hyungs, especially his Hoseok hyung, so he found himself going to Hoseok's close friend's party with their other mutual friends. Fortunately for him, Jungkook can also never say no to his hyungs and since his existence makes everything better for Jimin, he had an amazing night before he and Jungkook left the party to go to Jimin's apartment.
As soon as Jimin opens the door and they walk inside, he finds himself pinned against the wall as Jungkook closes the door with his right hand. His body covers Jimin quickly, his breath hitting Jimin’s face as Jimin holds his breath. He kisses Jimin, hard and fierce. Jimin moans, fingers digging into Jungkook’s shoulders. He opens his lips, returning the kiss as his arms wrap around Jungkook’s neck.
“You taste like vodka cherry,” Jungkook says softly, his tone sounding light like he wasn’t kissing the life out of Jimin a second ago.
Jimin giggles, enamoured. He reaches up, gently brushing his fingers over Jungkook’s jaw. “You taste like the whole vodka bottle. You don’t have a right to talk to me about it.”
Pursing his lips, Jungkook groans, leaning into him again. He kisses Jimin calmer than before, his tongue lightly pressing on Jimin’s lips to open. He sucks Jimin’s bottom lip into his mouth without being rough.
Jimin feels sad for people who have never kissed Jungkook before. Even though imagining Jungkook with someone else makes him skin crawl, he needs to admit that. In some ways, kissing Jungkook is the biggest mistake Jimin has ever made, because he cannot even imagine kissing, feeling like this, with another person. Because kissing Jungkook is a completely different experience compared to others. Even if he lets you take the control or he explores your mouth like he owns it, it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is how good he kisses you, how he makes you feel alive.
Jungkook rests his forehead against Jimin’s after they break the kiss to take a breath. “I want to suck you off so bad,” he declares, the tone of his voice sounding deeper than usual.
“Babe, I think we are too drunk for that. You are going to fall asleep on my limp dick.”
“You are not that drunk. Don’t be rude to your dick. And what if I want to, huh?” Jungkook asks, his eyes fluttering open as he takes a step away from Jimin. “I will sleep on your dick if I want to. That is my right.” His rabbit ears are tilted up suspiciously, like he is calculating something.
Jimin bursts out a loud laugh. “Shut up! You are so adorable. But we both know it isn’t going to work right now. I want to go to bed. Let’s go to bed.”
Jungkook’s lips pull into a pout. “Wack. I hate it here,” he says, scrunching his nose.
Jimin’s tongue pops out, moistening his burning lips. “That is such a lie. You love my bed more than your own,” he objects with a lopsided grin. He pulls away from the wall and takes his shoes off. He watches Jungkook grunt as he gets rid of his own shoes before he grabs Jungkook’s arm and starts guiding Jungkook towards his bedroom.
“Oh! Are we going to bed?” Jungkook questions, his eyebrows raised.
“Yes, Kook,” Jimin responds.
“To what?”
“What do you think? To sleep, you big baby.”
Jungkook lets out a loud sigh. “Wack,” he repeats again, frowning.
Rolling his eyes as he laughs, Jimin gets him inside the bedroom and then opens the wardrobe to get some comfortable clothes for them.
Jimin adores the drunk Jungkook. Drunk Jungkook is louder than sober Jungkook. Drunk Jungkook asks for the things he wants easily. He is touchy without being drunk, but drunk Jungkook is so fucking attentive and affectionate that it makes Jimin want to eat him. He is the cutest drunk Jimin has ever seen.
But getting this level of affection from Jungkook is being a pain in his ass right now. “I cannot change my clothes if you don’t stop hugging me, Jungkook-ah,” he says amusedly, trying to peel himself away from Jungkook’s arms.
“You are being so mean to me, Mimi-ah,” Jungkook complains even though he allows Jimin to pull away from him. “I don’t deserve this. What did I do to you?”
“Oh my God,” Jimin laughs, handing Jungkook comfortable clothes. “Stop being so dramatic and wear these, you drunk muscle bunny.”
“So mean,” Jungkook moans once more before he takes the clothes from Jimin. His small tail, his scut, look so fucking cute exiting from the hole of the sweatpant.
When Jimin turns off the lights and they eventually settle inside Jimin’s bed, Jungkook wraps a hand around Jimin’s waist and pulls him until Jimin’s back is against his chest. “You smell good,” Jimin hears him mumble above his hair after the sniffing noises.
“I smell like alcohol and cigarettes. Basically, I smell like I was partying,” Jimin answers quietly. He turns the other side to face Jungkook and maybe steal another kiss from his lips.
Jungkook doesn’t try to deepen the kiss this time, just lets Jimin peck his lips a few times before he draws back a bit. “I am sorry for Jihoon,” he says out of the blue, his voice sounding a bit sad.
What? Who?
He must read something on Jimin’s face because his expression changes into a puzzled one. “The study date guy. That came to talk to me earlier in the party.”
“Oh! Yeah!” Wait, what is wrong with Jihoon, though? Jimin thought they were friends, so out of respect, he tried to focus on his friends to give them some private time. Did the guy do something to make Jungkook feel like he needs to apologise?
Jimin will fucking destroy him.
He takes a deep breath to calm himself. “I was trying to give you guys some private time without me being nosy.” He winds his arm around Jungkook’s waist, looking into his eyes. “Did he do something?”
With his eyes looking unfocused, Jungkook says, “He was just being weird about the fact that I have so many predator friends.”
“Oh.” He is one of the narrow-minded assholes then. Which is sad. Jimin would have only felt sadness for his bigoted brain, but the anger that occurred inside him by the sadness Jungkook carries in his tone isn’t gone yet.
“Of course I called him out! I didn’t take his shit, hyung. Nobody talks like that about my friends,” Jungkook states, his worry audible in his tone. “I don’t want you to think that I would stand that kind of conversation.”
Oh damn. Jimin will surely find him and kick this guy’s ass.
“Jungkook, hey, I know you wouldn’t stand for that,” he assures, his hand drawing small circles on Jungkook’s back. “Of course you wouldn’t.”
“He also asked me out. I thought it was a study date again. But apparently, it was for a real date. I told him that I wasn’t available for any kind of romantic stuff, of course.”
“For a real date,” Jimin echoes without thinking first. What the fuck did Jimin miss because he was trying to be respectful? And Jungkook told him that he wasn’t available for any relationship stuff? Fucking hell. What does it even mean? Jimin gulps down. “I cannot believe the guy had the audacity to talk badly about your friends and then ask you out on a date,” he says, a silly attempt to hide his possessiveness from Jungkook.
But honestly? The fucking audacity, indeed.
“Yeah!” Jungkook scoffs, his rabbit ears falling down. “So, he lost a friend today and that is on him. I just feel sorry… Ugh… Worried if hyungs heard him talking like that.”
“Then they would have heard your responses to that, too. Don’t worry about that,” Jimin murmurs, lowering his head as he settles on Jungkook’s chest.
“Mmm.” Jungkook’s jaw rests on Jimin’s head, his arms getting tighter around his waist. “Thank you, hyung. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”
He is not going to think about this right now. Not when their bodies are pressing together like this. Jimin sighs, closing his eyes, holds tighter onto Jungkook.
Jimin tries not to get too into his own head. He really does.
But in the back of his mind, there is a voice that is starting to be very loud. And the said voice tells him that Jungkook isn’t available. He would be doing regular stuff like he would try cooking something for himself or he would be busy with studying and boom, the voice begins how Jungkook isn’t romantically available.
What does it even mean? Not being romantically available? Does it mean Jungkook has someone already in his heart? Does it mean he wants to focus on his studies?
They are friends, though. Wouldn’t he tell Jimin if he was crushing on someone? He would have, wouldn’t he? Still, he could not because they are fucking.
Or did he use it as an excuse to get away from the guy? Which would also make sense.
“There is no way for you to learn the answer to these questions by sulking and not talking about it with Jungkook,” Seokjin says, his face expression looks so done with the conversation already.
“We told him that, but he doesn’t listen,” Taehyung interrupts, his chopsticks pointing at Jimin. “If he chooses to be stupid and single, there is nothing we can do.”
“Yes. Be like Taehyung. Choose being stupid and not being single,” Hoseok adds.
“Excuse me?” Taehyung gasps, lowering the chopsticks onto the bowl in front of him. “You are also not single. Why am I getting attacked?”
“But I am not stupid,” Hoseok says, giggling. “I am just joking, stop giving me nasty looks!”
“You were kind of stupid at the beginning of your relationship, though,” Seokjin huffs. “I and Yoongi had to mute the group chat we have with Namjoon because he was unsure about everything because of your actions.”
Hoseok breathes out an offended noise. “We don’t talk about those days! You all promised!” Then he looks at Jimin, his eyebrows knitted. “Also, I want to complain about how my boyfriend is not invited because he knew Jungkook first but Seokjin hyung is here.”
“Your boyfriend cannot keep a secret to save your life,” Seokjin says at the same time Taehyung joins, “My boyfriend is also not here, but you don’t see me complain, do you?”
“Your boyfriend is not here because he refuses to give more advice to me because he thinks it is pointless,” Jimin points out. “His words, not mine.”
“Then don’t make it pointless anymore, how about that?” Seokjin suggests helpfully. “We are all saying the same thing to you for a month now. All of your friends think you need to talk to Jungkook. Why would we, your best friends, tell you to do the same thing if we all didn’t think it was the right thing?”
“I know.”
“Yet, you are still here. Talking about the same situation you are in because you are being stubborn about it,” Hoseok says before he focuses back on his noodle.
“Talk to him, Jimin-ah. Jungkook is a wholesome, kind baby. He wouldn’t leave you or stop being friends with you either way, but you would at least have some answers,” Taehyung counsels softly. “Do it before it is too late.”
Before it is too late, Jimin repeats inside his mind.
They are right. This thing he has with Jungkook is getting more and more confusing for Jimin to comprehend fully. He needs to talk to Jungkook and tell him his feelings for him. Tell him he likes everything about him. Tell him how he wants to openly commit to him, call him his boyfriend.
If his heart is going to get broken, it would be better to do it now because if this shit goes on and he falls deeper, it is going to hurt so much more.
“I will,” Jimin resolves after a few seconds. “I think I have to.”
Hoseok hums, putting his free hand on Jimin’s shoulder. “Good boy. Good baby fox. Now eat your food.”
Rolling his eyes, Jimin turns his gaze to the neglected food in front of him.
He absolutely needs to talk to Jungkook. He needs to stop trying to get answers about everything in his mind. And he needs to do it before they go on their spring break. He just hopes that it doesn’t fuck his finals up.
In these three and a half months Jimin has gotten to know Jungkook, there were a couple of things Jungkook had beaten around the bush. Jimin gets that he is definitely someone who doesn’t talk about his private life, thoughts and his emotions freely. But some of those topics have made him second guess where he stands in Jungkook’s life sometimes.
It isn’t Jungkook’s fault that he feels like that. He knows that he can be very nosy sometimes. And yet, he cannot change how he feels.
Unsurprisingly, one of those fragile subjects is Jungkook’s nest.
And truth be told, Jimin understands why it would be a delicate topic for Jungkook because he did read about it and learned that bunny hybrids may be very secretive about it. However, the articles mentioned that they could be open about it with their partners and might want to show their nest to them. Sounds cute right? Right.
Jungkook did neither. He literally doesn’t talk about his nest. Once Jimin tried to ask him about it, attempting to be sneaky by learning his nesting habits first and he asked about his favourite stuff put inside his nest but Jungkook only replied with, to quote-unquote, ‘comfortable stuff’ very informatively. Then Jimin found himself getting a rim job out of nowhere.
And people think fox hybrids are good with being sneaky and cunning.
Another subject is Jungkook’s family. He barely mentions his family unless someone calls him when they are hanging together and he says something like, ‘oh, it is my family’ and leaves Jimin to answer the call or just says ‘I’m with a friend (or Jimin) right now, talk to you later.’
Jimin is certain that he is very close with his family because Jungkook sucks at texting, but he texts them all the time and when he mentions something small about them his eyes literally shine. So he doesn’t understand why Jungkook doesn’t talk about them with him at all.
Well, let’s correct it. He didn’t understand because on a regular Tuesday night, while they are walking from the university’s library to the gate, Jungkook stops on his feet and turns to him with his eyes wide open and says, “My family is visiting me this week. Probably on Friday and they will leave on Monday or Tuesday.”
“Oh,” Jimin answers elegantly.
He has been thinking about asking Jungkook’s his plans for Friday because he thought he could use the weekend to sulk if Jungkook rejects him. He doesn’t have a luxury to sulk on weekdays, okay? He has to attend his classes if he wants to survive his finals. But yeah, he was kind of trying to be subtle about it and he got cold feet at the last minute every time he attempted.
He sucks.
“That is nice. Are they going to stay with you?” Jimin manages to say as they start walking again. He truly doesn’t know what else to add because they just don’t talk about Jungkook’s family. He isn’t sure what would be overstepping or not. And he needs to stay on Jungkook’s good side if he wants to come clean about his feelings for him.
“Yeah, some. That is the plan,” Jungkook murmurs. “I need to clean the house.”
“I guess you need to air your room for a couple of days. I am certain it will help with my scent,” Jimin ponders aloud. “Do you need some sprays?”
This makes Jungkook stop walking for a second before he continues again. “Why? I don’t think I would need that.”
Jimin frowns, confused. “Well, aren’t they sensitive to smell like you? I believe they would feel better without a strange, predator smell. Wouldn’t they?” he asks, touching the base of his neck.
“Huh,” he hears Jungkook whisper. There is an awkward pause after that.
Wow. Jimin had found a way to fuck it up when he was careful about not fucking it up. Is this his super power? How did he manage that? Why did he have to act like he knew better about what is best for Jungkook’s family?
“So, do you have any plans for this week or the weekend?” Jungkook questions as they get closer to Jungkook’s building.
Jimin’s plan was to call Jungkook his boyfriend if his plan worked out. His other plan was to sulk. It looks like he is going to sulk and overthink and most likely cry into his international business transactions law book.
Needless to say, he isn’t going to tell Jungkook that. “I have to study. God, I have so many things to study. I should have begun last week.” Good. He is babbling now. “And I will meet with Taehyung and hyungs if I can have any free time since you are going to be busy with your family,” he blurts out to make it even better. Amazing.
“Sounds busy.”
Jimin shrugs. “Yes. I guess.”
And the silence sits between them again until they approach the entrance door of the building. “I will see you later then,” Jimin says, but it sounds more like a question than a statement.
“Yeah. See you later, hyung,” Jungkook responds and turns his back, pulling his key card out his jacket’s pocket. His fluffy brown ears turn flat as he walks inside his building.
Biting the inside of his cheek, Jimin stares after him.
This was probably, most likely, the weirdest interaction they had. Even before Jimin left his house after the first time they hooked up, they weren’t this bad. Not even close.
And now, he is creeping out in front of his apartment even though Jungkook went up.
Jimin breathes out a deep sigh and then he swallows a knot in his throat and leaves, fighting the urge to wail after him.
They don’t talk for days. Two days, to be exact.
But the only time they went without talking for a couple of days was the time after their one night stand.
Jimin, not going to lie, feels a little bit miserable. Who misses someone because they didn’t talk for two days? Jimin does. He even misses Jungkook. He misses the weird noises in the background (probably some anime guys fighting) when he calls Jungkook.
His apartment has traces of Jungkook all over it and wearing Jungkook’s clothes helps and makes it worse at the same time. It makes the missing him part a little bit harder for Jimin, yet smelling his scent helps him to calm down a tad too. He has been wearing the last shirt he got from Jungkook because it still has his scent, but he refuses to go to bed wearing that. He wears one of the old ones for it.
It isn’t like he tried to reach out to him, by the way. On that day, he texted Jungkook when he arrived at his apartment but Jungkook didn’t reply. Jimin is familiar with Jungkook’s texting habits, but he never left Jimin on read before. And he doesn’t encounter Jungkook on their campus like how he didn’t see him until they met for the first time. Not even once.
See? This was why he was feeling scared and he somehow managed to make this nightmare come alive by giving unwanted advice about one of the fragile subjects for Jungkook. He didn’t have to talk about his feelings at all.
That is kind of sad. Jimin is fucking sad.
He spends the majority of those two days attempting to study. And he doesn’t want to annoy Jungkook, yet he cannot stop himself from thinking about him. He cannot focus on anything including his studies and classes and think about how to ask Jungkook if it was the family talk. Because it could be something else too, right? Maybe he did or said something that made Jungkook uncomfortable without realising. It is also possible.
Or maybe it is the family thing and since Jimin knows how close Jungkook is with his family, he just wishes it was something else.
Jesus Christ, he could be busy with preparations and not checking his phone and maybe Jimin is being paranoid for no reason.
But he also knows that he cannot get any answers before he talks to Jungkook, just like his friends said when they were talking about Jimin’s feelings. And he needs to stop being needy and let Jungkook reach out to him when he is free, or whenever he wants to.
Be more positive, he thinks to himself. This isn’t helping.
With a little more enthusiasm (not really), he tries to focus on the book in front of him again.
On Friday, Jimin's classes have an hour break at 12 PM. He usually prefers to stay inside the campus and eat something there with some of his classmates. Sometimes Namjoon still joins him if he is in the faculty, but their new schedules have affected their regular lunch dates since Namjoon is a postgraduate student like Seokjin and Yoongi now.
Today, because he has been feeling very down, he decides to not eat with people and get some coffee from a coffee shop near the campus before he has to return to his class. But once he arrives at the shop, his eyes meet with Jungkook's directly. The surprised expression on Jungkook's face turns into an unreadable one and Jimin cannot move from the front door, feeling like his feet are stuck on the ground.
Apparently, Jungkook is the normal one between them, because he gets up after he says something to people that Jimin didn't even realise he is sitting with. As he walks to Jimin with a clearly unsure smile on his face, Jimin cannot help but take a step back to outside because he is a weirdo and needs to be stopped immediately.
Jungkook's brows get knitted with Jimin's move and his smile gets smaller, but he doesn't stop until he is also outside the shop, facing Jimin.
His black hair is tied up to a small bun and he is wearing one of the oversized black hoodies that Jimin returned back to him because it didn't smell like his scent anymore. Holy fuck, if he starts sobbing here, at noon, in front of a coffee shop that is filled with university students, he is going to kick himself when he is home.
“Hey, Jimin hyung,” Jungkook greets, breaking the silence. “How are you?”
With the calmest tone of his voice, Jimin glances up to him. That is such a normal question, but it feels like a loaded one to Jimin's sad brain. He gulps. “Hi, Jungkook-ah,” he greets back. “I am okay. Busy with studying. How are you?”
God, why do they have to act like two strangers? The fuck. Jimin doesn't like this. He doesn't like this at all.
Jungkook doesn't give him an answer straight as he eyes Jimin from head to toe before his gaze finds Jimin's again.
“I feel better now,” he says then. Before Jimin's mind starts wondering what it means, Jungkook continues, “I was going to ask you if we can see each other tonight. I was waiting for your classes to be finished.”
Jimin lets out a noncommittal noise. “You were?”
“Yeah. I think I was being unnecessarily petty. Would you like to see me tonight?”
Jimin would sell his soul to the devil to see him tonight. He nods his head, trying to not focus on what Jungkook was feeling petty for. “I would like that. But isn't your family at yours?”
“Yeah, they arrived this morning. I was thinking that I can come to yours if it is okay with you.”
“Of course it is,” Jimin blurts without thinking.
Jungkook smiles then, his bunny teeth showing itself. “Okay. Is around 8 PM okay for you?”
“It is.”
“Okay, then. Are you here to get some coffee?”
Jimin notes the smile curling up his own lips. “Yeah.”
“Did you eat yet? Get some sandwich, they have your favourite one still.”
Why is he so cute? It is so fucking hard for Jimin to not to kiss him right here, right now. Why is it too easy for him to affect Jimin's mood?
“I will get one, then,” Jimin replies softly. He wants to tell him he missed him. He wants to tell him so bad. "Jungkook," he murmurs.
"Yes?"
"I missed you," he breathes out before his inner coward takes control.
It comes out as a win when Jungkook flushes, biting his bottom lip as he blinks down to Jimin a few times. “I did too," he admits quietly. “But we are not having this conversation in front of these people. Go get your coffee and sandwich, hyung. I will see you today.”
Jimin nods, his hand moving to pat Jungkook's shoulder. It rests there for a couple of seconds before Jungkook places a hand behind his back, beginning to push Jimin inside the coffee shop. “Get your coffee, hyung. Go,” he mumbles like he didn't say it already. Jimin knows it is him being shy, repeating his words to stop talking about whatever they were talking is his tactic.
Obligating his words, Jimin goes inside the coffee shop and gets a coffee and a sandwich. Once he is done, he waves to Jungkook and his friends before he starts walking to the campus.
Jungkook's blush as he waved back stays on his mind all day. The whole thing does, actually. The way he approached Jimin uncertainly, how cute he looked when he admitted he missed Jimin, too. Maybe… Maybe Jimin isn’t alone in this shit. Maybe Jungkook actually feels the same.
It doesn’t matter, though. Jimin is undoubtedly going to confess to him tonight. If he lets his insecurities fuck with his brain again, Jungkook deserves better than a coward anyway.
Just like they talked, Jungkook comes to Jimin's home close to 8 PM with some food and desserts his mother made.
“Eomma told me to bring you these,” he declares as he puts the boxes onto the small dinner table Jimin has in his living room.
Jungkook doesn't eat meat, so Jimin guesses all of this food is meat-free. It isn't like he minds it because Jungkook cooks for them all the time and Jimin loves his cooking and he is pretty sure he is going to fall in love with his mother's cooking because he remembers Jungkook mentioning he learned how to cook from his mom.
“Can you please thank her for me?” Jimin pleads, taking the boxes to put them inside the fridge. Jungkook tails behind him.
He puts them carefully inside the half-empty fridge. Once he is done, he turns to Jungkook, who is watching him, leaning against the door frame, one ear flat.
"Shall we sit?" Jimin asks, gesturing the other side of the door.
"Yeah." Jungkook pulls away from the door frame, turns his back to Jimin and pushes ahead to the living room.
Swallowing, Jimin follows him. He waits until Jungkook stumbles down onto the couch to sit the other side, swirling his body towards him.
“I want to tell you something important but firstly, can I just say I am sorry?” Jimin chooses to start with because he is going to not let any cowardness or any pride get into his way today. “I never wanted to offend you in any way or cause something to make you feel mad or petty towards me.”
Rubbing his hands together, Jungkook says, “I get that you didn't do it intentionally, but there is some stuff that I don't understand, hyung. Every time I make my mind about something, you bait and switch. You are making me very confused.”
"Um... What?" Jimin asks. What the hell? What does it mean? "What do you even mean? When did I even bait and switch?"
"You just apologised," Jungkook tells him, his eyes narrowed. "Why did you apologise for, if you don't get what I am saying?"
“Because I gave some unwanted and unnecessary advice? When we were talking about your family? Isn't that why you got petty?” Jimin inquires, brow wrinkled. “I know you are pretty private about them and you are very close to your family, so I understand why you would feel like that.”
The explanation doesn't seem like helping whatever Jungkook is trying to comprehend. His face looks very puzzled as he parts his lips, but nothing leaves his mouth. He tears his eyes from Jimin, his gaze dazed and Jimin watches him shake his head before he turns his eyes to the fox hybrid again.
“Okay. I think we are missing something here,” Jungkook surmises. “I think you have to tell me what that important thing you want to tell me is, because this conversation isn't going like I thought it would.”
“Oh…” Jimin muses. “I can do that. Yeah.” Oh, God. Fuck. He is really doing it. He has to do it. There would be no turning back after the words leave his mouth but he has to. “So, we have known each other for longer than three months now," he proceeds softly, his feet bouncing, "And I am so glad that I have you in my life. I really am. You became one of my best friends like you belong with me. But that is also the thing... I don't see you as a friend only. I have romantic feelings for you, Jungkook. I like you so much. I don't want you to stop being my friend or go out of my life, but I had to talk to you-”
“What the fuck, hyung?” Jungkook interrupts, getting up from the couch. “Is this a joke? Please, please, tell me you are joking right now.”
Wow.
Okay.
Something like an awful sob threatens to leave from Jimin's throat. Fuck, he’s about to cry, isn't he? Damn. “I am so fucking sorry," Jimin says, averting his eyes from Jungkook, his voice cracking. Did he misread Jungkook’s reaction yesterday? Jimin thought maybe he felt the same. “Jungkook-ah, I am so-"
“Oh my God! No! Jimin hyung, look at me.” Jungkook is suddenly in front of him, putting his hand on Jimin's jaw to raise his gaze up to him. “Hyung, no. I don't mean I don’t feel the same way, I don’t mean it in that way! I mean it in a way that I thought we were dating already!”
Did he hear this right? "Did I just hear you right?" Jimin asks aloud, feeling a tear escaping from his eye. "Did you just say you thought we were already dating?"
“Yes! I am so fucking mad!" Jungkook declares. He does look mad.
“How? When?” Jimin finds himself asking as Jungkook kneels down between his parted legs.
“What do you mean when? I asked you out! After we hooked up, you left me your number and I asked you out for a date.”
“But you didn't," Jimin murmurs, feeling very, very confused. “You didn't say it was a date.”
“I asked you to see a movie with me. I fucking paid, how was it not a date? Who would ask someone they had hooked up with to go and see a movie with them as friends?!” Jungkook groans. “Oh my God. I cannot believe you thought, what? We were casually fucking for months!”
“But like," Jimin continues, “we have never talked about it? Like, you have never said anything about being together?”
“I didn't know I had to,” Jungkook says, putting his head between his hands. “We go to dinner dates all the time! Movie dates! I met all of your friends, I even befriended them. We basically live together with the way I spend my weekends here and how you stay at mine on weekdays. How does it feel like we are friends to you?”
“Huh.” Jimin tilts his head, staring at Jungkook. How in the world did this happen? Is he dreaming? Did he fall asleep while he was waiting for Jungkook? Or is this a nightmare?
There is still too much stuff he doesn't get, too. The thing about his family. His nest. How they never said anything about their feelings. How they never used the word ‘boyfriend’ to and about each other.
“You never told me you liked me like that. You never said I was your boyfriend,” he tries to word his thoughts. “And like, you never took me to your nest or even spoke about it, but I have read that bunny hybrids are okay with doing that stuff with their partners. Same thing with your family. You don't even talk to them when I am around you. I don’t understand, Jungkook.”
Jungkook raises his head at him, his eyes fluttering. “I am going to begin with the family topic, because I believe there is something we both misunderstood about it,” he says slowly. “It isn’t like I did intentionally avoid talking about them. But as rabbit hybrids, we usually have a crazy amount of family members. I have eight nosy siblings and equally nosy parents. I guess I didn’t want to scare you and I didn’t want them to think it would be okay to add you on every social media platform and send you my embarrassing photos or something. They did that with my roommate after having one single phone call with him. They did that with Namjoon hyung, too. I wanted you to meet them face to face before they make you scared.” He exhales an audible deep breath. “God, I thought you were trying to tell me you didn’t want to meet them by insinuating about letting your scent out of my apartment because you knew I was going to invite you to meet them. That was why I got petty, because I thought you didn’t have the balls to say that to my face.”
“This is a fucking disaster,” Jimin wails.
“You don’t say,” Jungkook deadpans, huffs out a disbelieving laugh.
“This is a nightmare, Jungkook. How the fuck did this even happen? Am I this dumb? You know what, please don’t answer that.”
“I guess it was not your stupidity sneaky attempt to say no to meeting my parents?”
“Fuck no! I want those embarrassing photos!”
“It isn’t happening after this. You dumb fox, how can you be the smartest person I know, including Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung, and be that stupid at the same time?”
“You are turning on me real quick! Do not compare me with your platonic crushes who are also our mutual friends while I am losing my mind here and please answer the other questions.”
“You are not the only one who feels like that. What else did you ask?” Jungkook asks but before Jimin can answer, he goes on, “Oh, right, my nest. Well, my nest isn't a den nest like yours. It is small and filled with some silly stuff and I only go there when I am feeling anxious. And I acknowledge that I intentionally avoided talking about it this time, but it wasn’t because I thought you weren’t trustworthy. I was shy… Embarrassed about the stuff I had in my nest.”
“Um. I literally take your clothes to put them in my nest all the time, how could it be more embarrassing than that?”
Jungkook’s cheeks get redder as Jimin notes even his blush reaches to his bunny ears. “Don’t ask me that! I just told you it is embarrassing.”
Instead of demanding an answer or urging Jungkook, Jimin silently watches him considering giving into Jimin’s question or not. If it was anyone else but Jungkook, Jimin would have cut to the chase and gotten his answer already, but it doesn’t work with Jungkook. He learned to be more patient when it comes to this.
Twenty seconds later, Jungkook clears his throat. “Since we are being vulnerable and open with each other,” he mutters, his lips curling into a pout, “I may tell you and get over with it.”
Jesus. Jimin wants to kiss his damn pout already, but he forces himself to reel back as he listens to Jungkook continue speaking; “Like I said, I have silly stuff there. For instance, my childhood toys or like some stuff that reminds me of Busan or my family. I may have stolen your used tissues or the law book you wanted me to get rid of once, too-”
“Wait, wait,” Jimin cuts him off. “Is it the criminal law book? You have to get rid of it Jungkook. I have doodles of my professor as a naked devil there with horns and some shit like that and I need to make my parents buy me a new one because we take those books to our exams but they check inside to-”
“I just told you I have your used tissue in my fucking nest! Why are you focusing on the book? And who is going to find it when it is in my nest?” questions Jungkook, raising an eyebrow at him.
“Makes sense,” Jimin responds. “I don’t care about the tissue, Jungkook-ah. You can take anything from me to put in your nest.”
“Stop being cute. I am still mad.” This time, he doesn’t look mad. He looks like the blushing mess that he currently is. Jungkook tears his eyes away from him and he pushes himself up from the floor. He settles back onto the same place on the couch he was sitting earlier.
“To answer another of your questions, I didn’t tell you I liked you, but I thought I was showing my feelings out loud. And you know that I suck with talking about my emotions or thoughts, especially if the other person didn’t say anything about it first, even though it shouldn’t be an excuse. And I didn’t say the word boyfriend, because I am not a white girl who talks about having a boyfriend in every chance they get,” Jungkook reasons then. “It is lame. I am not lame. Although I didn’t do that, it isn’t like I wasn’t telling people that we aren’t together. Every time someone came and hit on either of us, didn’t I tell them something like ‘I am here with him’ or ‘we are together’ hyung? I even told you about that time I told Jihoon I wasn’t available for anything more than a friendship. I am sure I said or mentioned us as a couple in front of our friends.”
Jimin takes a breath in. This is true. All of it, they are all true. Jimin didn’t think Jungkook had meant it in that way, though. He thought Jungkook was using it as an excuse or simply telling people that they are here, in that place, together and they would be leaving together. He doesn’t know how to bring it up without looking thick headed.
“Well. If I knew, I would have been that white girl who brought up that they have a boyfriend,” he says jokingly, crossing his arms against his chest. Then his brain scans all of the other things Jungkook had just told him. When did he say those kinds of stuff in front of his friends? “What do you mean by the last sentence?”
“I talk to hyungs daily. Do you think that I have never mentioned us as a couple or you as my boyfriend? Yoongi hyung recently made a fucking meme of us.”
Min Yoongi. Fucking Min Yoongi.
The stuff Yoongi said about how he should concentrate on the actions rather than overthinking or not-spoken things comes into Jimin’s mind. He knew. He, honest to God, knew what Jungkook was thinking about them.
Jimin is going to kill him. He is going to burn their house. He is going to buy a ticket to Daegu and kidnap Holly from their house. Yoongi is his arch-nemesis now. He is going to make his life mis-
“I can see the wheels that are turning inside your mind and I guess it isn’t about how you believed we were exclusively but casually fucking for three months,” he hears Jungkook grumble, pulling him out of his future plans to strangle his hyung.
Jimin draws his eyes back to him. His ears looking alerted like he is annoyed, Jungkook is glaring at him. With that Jimin sighs and sidles up to Jungkook because the urge to kiss Jungkook is back and it is overwhelming as hell. He ends up in Jungkook’s lap just like he planned.
“Brave,” Jungkook says. “Is this your way to stop me from leaving your ass for good?”
“Why would you even want to leave my ass?” Jimin asks, phrasing it like a question even though it isn’t one. “You are obsessed. You grab a handful of it or give it a slap in every chance you get.”
With that, Jungkook rolls his eyes, yet the smile formed on his face is without any doubt genuine and bright. “Well, you have a magnificent ass. What am I supposed to do?” He tips his head then, resting his forehead against Jimin’s and closes his eyes. He breathes out a sigh. “I cannot believe I thought we were together already while you were thinking of us as fuckbuddies.”
Jimin wraps his arms around him, scooting himself closer without not pushing his head away from the touch of their skin and he lets his eyes close too. “I am sorry. I really am. I like you so much, Jungkook-ah.”
There is a few seconds of silence before Jungkook answers, “I like you so much, too, hyung. We have to communicate better, though.”
Jimin cannot help but giggle at that. “We do.”
They stay like that, their foreheads tenderly touching as their arms are wrapped around each other.
“I am going to meet your family,” Jimin declares suddenly, feeling his cheeks burn with the idea. “I am going to meet them so hard. I am also adding them on every social media that I have. And we are never, ever going to admit this happened to anyone, especially Yoongi hyung.”
He listens to Jungkook’s pretty alluring laugh before he hears him answer against his lips, “Deal.”
They meet up with their friends after they spend the weekend with Jungkook's one big happy family.
Although Jimin and Jungkook have agreed not to tell them about what happened, all of his friends are aware of the incident because unfortunately for Jimin, they are all unnecessarily and unwantedly clever.
Namjoon is the first to congratulate them like a normal person. But Seokjin and Hoseok start to fill the restaurant with excited screams, he joins them, so Jimin takes the ‘like a normal person’ part out. And unsurprisingly, Yoongi gives Jimin 'I told you so' glances and smirks at him the whole night because he is trying to kill Jimin by embarrassing him while Taehyung makes a questionably amazing argument about how they should adopt the guinea pigs they have since Yoongi is done with his paper assignment and they apparently need a ‘new loving home’ and as a newlywed couple, it could be a good training for them. His words.
Their friends are a mess, yes. Their whole life is, actually.
But Jimin wouldn’t prefer it in any other way. And his phone is already half-filled with teenage Jungkook’s photos that are sent by his big sisters. What else could he ask for?
