Chapter Text
The sun had set not an hour earlier. It was still a bit bright outside. Keigo should’ve been home by now, but there were many times where patrol took longer than expected. Villains never cared about the schedule of Heroes so Y/N wasn’t worried.
While Y/N was cleaning in the kitchen, anticipating their partner’s return, he finally opened the front food and dragged himself inside. His wings sagged in exhaustion and his clothes and hair were a bit ruffled. It was clear he had just been in a fight, though he seemed uninjured.
“Welcome home,” Y/N greeted. Keigo didn’t respond. “How was work? Anything interesting happen?” Still nothing. He slowly shuffled towards his partner, eyeliner smudged and a tired look on his face. As he got closer, he raised his arms, asking for a hug. Of course, Y/N obliged, and Keigo wrapped his wings around them. He nuzzled his face into their shoulder and made a noise of approval. The two of them stood there for a moment, tenderly holding each other.
“Are you hungry?” Y/N eventually asked. “We can go get something, if you like. Say… Chicken?” Keigo’s head shot up, a massive smile on his face.
“Please?” He said quietly.
“Of course, Dearest~”
The two of them let go of each other. Y/N grabbed their keys and they left together, getting some chicken. They ate happily and Keigo seemed to liven up a bit. When the two arrived back home, they sat on their couch together.
“You ready to talk about what happened? Why you’re late?” Y/N prodded. Keigo rolled his eyes.
“Just some lowly villain trying to pull off a heist they weren’t qualified for, is all,” he answered. “We got into a bit of a fight but they were obviously no match for me. Anyway, no one got hurt, nothing got stolen, and the villain is in jail as we speak. Nothing else really happened today.”
“Sounds only bothersome,” Y/N commented.
“Yeah. Not very interesting.” There was a pause. “Can I kiss you?”
Y/N giggled. “Yes~” The two kiss. It was soft and gentle. Quite a pleasant kiss. Keigo pulled away with a smile on his face.
“I wanted that all day.”
“You always say that.”
“And it’s always true... What have you been up to all day?”
“Nothing.”
“You always say that.” Y/N shot Keigo a look. He smiled a mischievous smile.
“And it’s always true,” Y/N mocked.
“Be nice, Babybird,” Keigo demanded with a laugh. “But I mean, come on. I don’t know anything about what you do. And we’ve lived together for months.”
“Dearest, I know. It’s best you remain oblivious. At least, for now it is.” Keigo pouted, though this was a familiar answer. He was off-put but not upset, so the two stayed together on the couch, just enjoying the other’s presence.
