Work Text:
Nobody liked when they argued, Jungkook hated it the most. He always knew he was bad at showing feelings, at showing when it comes to that touchy part. Its already frustrating as it is, but when someone point it aloud, hurts.
Jungkook knows that when someone is mad, they say something they don’t mean it. But he always wondered if that is not just an excuse, to hide the truth behind.
He glares at Jimin, warm tears falling form his eyes and along his cheeks. He roughly wipes them off with the sleeve of his hoody. As soon as the words left Jimin’s mouth, Jungkook puffy eyes turn angry.
“Fine! I’m glad you’ve been honest!”. He gives a last glance to Jimin who looks angry as him and takes quickly his bag. “You just have to accept it! Do you even love me?!”. Jimin yells back, but the only answer he got was a slam of the door. It’s then that Jimin bursted into tears.
Two hours till the performance. The discussion seems to have became worse than before.
It happened all because Jimin had enough of Jungkook.
Not understanding why he wouldn’t say a simply ‘I love you’, whenever they have their moment or just laying in bed.
And now, instead of solving the situation, they made it worse. Jimin was yelling at Jungkook, he wasn’t focusing enough for the lines. He keeps messing things up. Till Jimin yelled. “Why are you like this?! Grow up and don’t act like fucking a child!”. Things seem to go in the wrong way, lately. They know it wasn’t gonna be easy, a relationship while being idols. But nothing is easy in life, neither love.
Sometimes achievement comes with a price, whatever is good or bad. It wasn’t gonna end soon, someone had to stop them. “Enough but you two! We don’t have time for this! We have a performance to make, behave.” The sudden interruption scared the present members, making Jungkook and Jimin go silent.
Namjoon gives a last glare towards the two and walk towards the stage.

Jungkook and Jimin turn came faster than expected, things went a bit overboard. They were supposed to make a cover of a song but it became an angry competition.
“You used to lie so close to me, nothing more than empty sheets between our love.” Jungkook sang, eyes staring right into Jimin’s. He doesn’t show how is heart skipped a beat, that line hurting more than he imagined. Jimin shivered, but he quickly covered with an angry expression.
“We are just collecting dust, and our love is enough.“ Jimin sang.
“You’ve been having bad dreams.” Jungkook sang.
“I never stopped, we can learn to love again.” Jimin replies singing, eyes fixed on Jungkook.
“I’ll fix for us. You’re pouring a drink.” Jungkook sang.
“Our love is nothing more than ash. Oh oh”. Jimin sang, staring right into Jungkook’s, heart beating fast against his chest. He tries to not stutter in the next line, his emotions taking over.
“Nothing more than cold sheets, between our love.” They sang it together, high notes colliding into one as they stared at each other’s. They didn’t notice the proximity between them, closing the little space. The song finished with the last line repeated twice, then the lights were turned off and so the music. The only sound was the thousand of people screaming and hands clapping.
When they came back in the backstage, the members were shocked. The performance was more than great, it has been amazing. The fans loved it. But the changes in the song was noticed. None of them spoke, some minutes passed until Namjoon decided to speak. “You did great.” They could hear a ‘but’ coming, Namjoon clears his throat. “But, don’t do this again. Don’t fight like this, make sure to make up.” Namjoon patted gently both their shoulders, going towards the exit since Jimin and jungkook performance has been the last.
The others give them a gente smile, saying they did great and didn’t matter if some lines have been changed.

Jimin was staring at Jungkook whom was gathering his stuff, he was supposed to sleep with him. They were. He didn’t know if they still are mad at each other’s after the performance, should he stay? Should he just left without saying anything? Jimin sighed, finally looking up at him. “Say it. I know you want to say something”. He says softly, sounding almost tired. As if they didn’t fight before the concert.
Jungkook was tired, he didn’t want to leave, he hates when they fight. “I’m sorry...” Jungkook says softly, feeling tears in his eyes. Jimin slowly reaches him, cupping Jungkook’s face with his hands.
“No jungkookie, it’s my fault. I should have not yelled at you. I’m sorry.”
Jimin says, face getting close to Jungkook’s and then, lips crashed against each other’s.
Jungkook muttered a ‘missed you’ when their lips parted for a second to then crashed against one another. The clothes followed, thrown all over the floor as they fell on the bed.
They never took off their clothes so fast like that night, the fight long forgotten between sheets. “I love you”, Jungkook whispered, kissing Jimin’s neck.
