Chapter Text
The Media was going to go crazy when they found out. Well, the entire world to be exact. And why wouldn't they? At this point everyone probably knew he had left as BigHit would have to make a statement before rumours got out in case anyone saw him. Yoongi let out a sigh. It was after all out of the blue. None of the members knew, not even Namjoon, who had been his best friend since years before they had debuted.
He felt bad about how he was leaving thing, really bad. It had been on his mind for the last many months, and when they went to sign a new contract, he had talked with BigHit in private. Bang PD wasn't happy and called it a waste of talent quitting while at the top and their manager Sejin had agreed. But he had set his mind; leaving Bangtan was for the best and nothing could change his mind.
He took of his black cap to run his fingers through his freshly dyed black locks and looked at his phone. It had run out of battery a few hours ago and he couldn't care any less about finding a charger. He knew there would be messages and unanswered calls from the members and he didn’t need to see that.
He put the cap back on and leaned back in the seat and closed his eyes.
Yoongi was looking around his and Jin's room one last time. His bag was on his neatly made bed - just as Jin always told him to do. Almost all his clothes still on the hangers in their wardrobe. Pictures, awards, his laptop. All sitting on his desk.
He had been at the studio late last night to pack his equipment but decided against it. Their manager, Sejin, had been there trying to convince him to think it over again, talk him out of leaving, but he had just given him a sad smile and hugged him tightly, thanking him for the opportunity to make his dream come true and that he was sorry.
After that he had given the keys for his studio and an envelope for Namjoon to Sejin and had left the studio.
He had spent the next day packing the most important things while the boys were out. They had come home earlier than expected so he had to hide his bag under the bed so if any of the members would walk in they wouldn’t notice something was up. He hated himself from not just coming clean, but it was for the best. He couldn't do this anymore.
Jin had popped his head in to tell him food would be ready soon and when Yoongi heard Jin yelling that food was done and all the members had taken their place in the kitchen he had put his bag back on his bed and looked around to make sure he didn’t leave anything important. After that he had swung the bag over his shoulder and silently left the dorm without looking back.
Yoongi knew the members was worried. And he knew they were angry. He could almost hear Jin yelling at him and let out a pained chuckled. He sure would miss them, but it was for the best. Bangtan was in the past now. He was in the past now. And hopefully they would forgive him one day.
"Passengers for flight D82654 for New York can now board."
Yoongi got up and began making his way to the line to board the plane and adjusted his black facemask hoping no one would recognise him. So far, he had been lucky and with a ticket for first class he was sure to be left alone. The flight personal was always professional enough to ignore the fact they were Idols whenever they had left for tours and work and he hoped the passengers on the plane was going to sleep. Afterall he had made sure to get a late department which mostly resulted in other passengers sleeping.
Before going through the gate, he looked over his shoulder one last time. Something buried deep inside him hoped that he would show up. Stopping him from leaving, begging him to stay, but he knew that wouldn't happen. No one knew he was leaving. It was stupid, he knew that. So, with a sigh he turned his head back to walk through the gate and leave Min Suga behind.
