Part 1: A Boy Values Life Too Much
Ancient Greece
Ambrosia. The nectar of the gods. Those who feast upon the sweet delicacy are rewarded with eternal life. But, no mortal has ever ventured close enough to Mount Olympus to obtain this heavenly concoction. Any human that tries to climb to the heavens and set foot in the palace of the gods is either smited or cursed.
These are the thoughts that have been plaguing Yoongi’s mind as of late, as he sits on the seaside cliff, watching over the port by the beach. The sun always shines and hits the water perfectly, basking the cliffside in colorful hues.
From his perch way up high, Yoongi spots his beloved friend Hoseok returning from a day of fishing out at sea. A smile graces his lips as he stands up and brushes the dirt off his dark colored tunic and slides his feet in his sandals. The tunic hugs his frame rather nicely. He isn’t small, but he doesn’t have an abundance of muscles either. His friends, Hoseok, Namjoon, and Seokjin make fun of him from time to time saying he could be mistaken for a manlier girl if he had longer hair.
The trek down the cliffside is one Yoongi knows well, and soon enough he stands on the docks and waits for Hoseok to pack away his belongings. Hoseok approaches Yoongi after he throws the last bag back into the boat. Whereas Yoongi can always be found wearing darker tunics, Hoseok fancies the brighter colors that match the evening sunsets.
“Good afternoon Yoongi! How was your harvest today? Were you able to sell any of your crops today at market?” Hoseok inquires walking off the docks up the path to the village. Yoongi starts walking next to him.
“Of course I was able to sell my crops,” Yoongi scoffs, “I have the most fertile land in all of Greece.”
Hoseok smiles and turns to look at his friend, “I swear to the gods that your land has to be blessed by Demeter herself,” he shakes his his, “even in winter your crops would continue to grow as if it was the peak of summer. No wonder all the elder ladies at the market love you.”
Yoongi rolls his eyes, and the walk back to village continues in silence. It takes a while, but soon homes and buildings start to appear in their line of sight. All around them, builders are starting construction on new homes and a temple to honor the goddess Athena, so she grants them wisdom in the wars to come.
“Mark my word brother. One day our little village of Athens is going to become the biggest city in all of Greece!” Hoseok exclaimes, “more and more people continue to settle here, because we have settled on the most beautiful land.”
Yoongi hums in agreement, but glances over at Hoseok. He can tell there is something he wants to say by the look on his face. “Say what is hindering your mind Hoseok. I will not pass judgement.”
Hoseok sighs and looks over at Yoongi, “do you still wish to climb that mountain and steal the ambrosia,” he questions, “nothing good will come from it! You’ve heard the stories. You wouldn’t survive. No mortal can steal from a god and get away with it.”
Yoongi furrows his brows. “I know you don’t understand why I wish to embark on this journey, but at least have an open mind. Eternal life Hoseok! Everything around us is either dying, or changing. Wouldn’t you want to see the rebirth of life, or better yet, what this village will become in 100 years?” Yoongi asks as they start to weave between houses, “I don’t want to die. I want to live.”
Up ahead sat Namjoon and Seokjin both in chairs on their front porch. If Yoongi had to pick the happiest couple in Greece, they would be it. Whenever he sees them, they are always smiling. Recently, however, the two have taken to following a new trend that Yoongi finds somewhat ridiculous. They are both dressed in pale tunics, the styles only slightly differing, but the colours are matching, complimentary in a ‘couple’ kind of way..
“Namjoon! Seokjin! Our dear friend Yoongi is still adamant on stealing ambrosia from the gods. Is there anyway you can persuade him not too?” Hoseok calls ahead as they approach the house.
Seokjin’s smile disappears off his face, “why are you so insistent on this goal Yoongi? Why can’t you just accept the fact that this is how things are?”
Yoongi and Hoseok both pull up chairs and sit next to the other two. Yoongi’s eyebrows furrow, “I’ve already told you. I want to experience life. I want to live. Death will only hinder my goal.”
“But our dear Yoongi,” Namjoon interjects, “I fear you will not be happy after you get what you want. Things are not always black and white.”
Yoongi shrugs one shoulder, “let’s just talk about something else. Not about a topic that will only bring arguments.”
Idle conversation flows between the four, from the state of the market goods, to the weather for the upcoming week. It isn’t until the inevitable topic of war is passed between the friends, that the conversation becomes more serious once more.. Namjoon straightens up, “I’ve heard they might call upon us villagers soon to fight in the battle against Sparta. I don’t know about you, but I am not suited for war.”
A mutual agreement passes between the group. Out of all of them, Hoseok physically looks like he would survive the best in a battle. The years out at sea fishing has helped build his physique. Yoongi only works in his field, Namjoon is a philosopher, and Seokjin is a baker. All three of them don’t have the physique of a warrior.
Soon the conversation passes and the friends go their separate ways. Night falls on the land, but Yoongi is still awake. A pack of supplies lies next to him on the ground as he sits and looks out the window. In the distance, he can see the mountain. The peak of it is hidden in the clouds, but he knows the ambrosia is kept there. Without another moment's hesitation, he grabs the pack and disappears into the darkness of night.
Hoseok will be disappointed once he realizes that Yoongi is gone. The trek there is a several day journey so his absence will be noticed, but he must attempt it. Rather to try and fail than not try at all.
***
Yoongi is starting to regret his decision. He has been hiking for days, and he has only made it halfway up. His legs are screaming at him to stop and turn back around. His supplies are almost gone and his head is throbbing from the heat.
He finds a sturdy olive tree nearby and leans against it to catch his breath for a minute, being careful to avoid the thorny olive branches. The minute soon turns into an hour of him contemplating his goal. Was it even worth it? Lost in his thoughts, he doesn’t notice the presence standing in the forest to his right.
“I thought I sensed a mortal on the mountain.”
Yoongi jumps up and whips his head toward the voice. Ahead of him stands a being radiating power. She wears a full-length white chiton with an owl insignia encrusted in the middle. In her right hand is a spear, and her left is a shield. Her grey eyes have a fierceness to them as she stares Yoongi down. He quickly averts his eyes, not wishing to offend her.
“Goddess Athena. It is a honor to be graced by your presence here on this day,” Yoongi speaks as he lifts his head. Athena stares down at him with an eyebrow raised, unamused.
“Let us skip all the idle chat, and have you actually tell me why you are climbing this mountain, mortal.”
Yoongi tells her everything. He tells her all his worries and wishes. Athena is the goddess of wisdom, courage, and inspiration. She is sure to understand his reasoning. As his story continues on, her eyebrows begin to furrow.
“Yoongi, you can’t possibly be serious about this?”
Then comes another round of arguments, and Yoongi trying to convince her. She eventually sighs and shakes her head.
“I can see that just words will not convince you to change your mind. You are a man who learns through action. You mortals are confusing beings.”
“Does that mean you will help me?”
“I will give you ambrosia,” Athena replies as a vile of the liquid appears in her hand, “but this isn’t a gift. It’s a curse. You will get your immortal life, but you will never be around other immortals. You will continue to live in the mortal realm. Everyone you love will age and die, but you won’t. The tasks you love to do each day will soon grow tiresome. Through this curse you are going to learn a lesson. For your sake, I hope you learn it sooner than later.”
With that, she tosses the vile at Yoongi and he catches it against his chest. She looks at him with a look of pity.
“That vile you have in your hand, is ambrosia, but I have to admit I altered it slightly.”
Yoongi glances down at the gold liquid, “what did you do to it?”
Athena gives him a coy smile, “You’ll find out when the time comes later in life. Until then, I wish you luck trying to find the lesson that I’ve hid for you in this curse.”
Yoongi rips open the top of the vile, and drinks the ambrosia in one swig. He instantly feels the liquid flowing through his body. There isn’t a set feeling that runs through him, it just feels like everything is working the way it’s supposed to.
“You are not immortal, but unfortunately for you, you drank the ambrosia before I could finish explaining,” she explains, “you can never speak of your curse to anyone. Everytime you try to explain what happened here, your mouth will forget what words it was trying to say. Your hands will forget how to write, and your brain will forget how to think. This is your burdon now.”
With that, she lifts her shield in goodbye and disappears from before him.
I don’t need to explain what happened here to anyone, because my friends will already know what I did.
Yoongi may be a fool for not heeding her words, but he was just gifted immortality. This may be the most blessed day of his life!
With these thoughts in mind, he makes his way back down the mountain into the village. Hoseok, Namjoon, and Seokjin pester him with questions, but true to the curse, he can’t tell them what happened. They soon start realizing and figure out on their own what really happened, and the realisation is a sobering fact that fills their hearts with heavy sadness.
***
Life does not always go as planned though. The battle against Sparta does come to pass, and village men are called to battle. All four friends are terrified of what’s to come. They stick to each other out in the frontlines, and watch each other’s backs.
However, with the darkness of battle, the worst befalls the fate of the close companions.
Seokjin and Namjoon aren’t made for the likes of war. Neither is Yoongi, but his immortality is keeping him alive. The same could not be said about his friends, they didn’t have immortality blessing them.
Seokjin and Namjoon died the same way they lived, together. Both were severely injured on the battlefield, and are taken to the infirmary. Hoseok and Yoongi rush there once they hear the news, and find two cots pushed next to each other as Namjoon and Seokjin held onto life.
Hoseok and Yoongi sit with them, crying, until they both pass.
The battle soon ends with Sparta reigning triumphant. He has lost his friends and the war, and yet he is still alive. Hoseok and Yoongi return to their village with heavy hearts. They seek comfort in each other’s company and hold a proper burial for Seokjin and Namjoon on a hill near the cliffside. This way they can have view of the ocean forever.
Life carries on, and Hoseok starts to age. Yoongi doesn’t though. Whenever Yoongi breaks down crying, Hoseok is always there to catch him and comfort him. He knows Yoongi regrets his decision, but what’s done is done.
To ease Yoongi’s tears, Hoseok never takes a lover, or starts a family. He moves in with Yoongi and they become each other’s family and comfort.
The townspeople soon start to notice that Yoongi hasn’t aged a day. Rumors spread about a man blessed by the Gods with eternal life. Only now does Yoongi see it as a curse. He is reminded that it’s a curse every single day when he wakes up and Hoseok looks older and older.
He prays to Athena everyday to take it all back, but she never answers. He only gets silence.
Then, it happens. Old age eventually becomes too much for Hoseok. As he lies there on his bed, he grabs Yoongi’s hand, “I want you to continue living Yoongi. Don’t let this curse control your life. I prayed to the gods everyday for your happiness, and I’ll continue to pray until my last breath. Don’t be afraid to find your reason to live.”
The tale of the immortal mortal man soon becomes nothing more than myths and people forget about the man who lives in the woods with the small field of plentiful crops. More and more people start to settle in the town, and Yoongi blends into the background. Just a face in the sea of many.
But, he can’t find happiness and he fears he never will.
Part 2: A Boy Who Does Not Value Life
100 Years Later
The sun shines, blinding Jimin as he sits on the hill just past the lake, taking in his village of Ioannina. The lush, green fields stretch on for miles, and the colorful houses are scattered about towards the center. In the fields, he can see farmers working on securing their daily harvest. On the borders of the fields are the lush forests filled with green foliage.
Not that Jimin really knows how that works. His family is the richest in town, accumulating their drachma over the centuries. It all started when his ancestors struck a deal with one of the gods. A deal nobody really knows the details of. One day, his ancestors were poor, the next, they were rich. Either way, he was taught never to make any types of deals with the gods and goddesses growing up, because they always trick you in the end.
His parents shower him with the prettiest jewels and clothes they can find. Jimin isn’t a fan of the plain clothing that men usually wear, instead preferring the beautiful chitons that women wear. They are longer, more feminine, and eye catching in their pretty colours and glistening threads . Jimin always insists on chitons with gold clamps on the shoulders, and his jewel encrusted headpieces and necklaces have to match his outfit as well.
Needless to say, with his choice of clothing partnered with his beautiful looks, men and women come flocking to him as if he were Aphrodite himself. However, Jimin doesn’t succumb to their advance.. His parents want to combine households with the richest family from the town over. Which means that he must remain chate, so he can be a pure lover for their eldest son, Dares. A son ten years older than him, who is almost in his thirties.
But it’s how the world works, and Jimin has come to accept it.
Jimin gets up and brushes off the dirt from his chiton, before he makes his way back to his house on the hill. As he walks back to his home, he spots a bird’s nest in a tree on one of the lower branches. Inside, he can barely make out three little feathery heads of the baby birds, sleeping away peacefully.
He’s about to continue walking, when something out of the ordinary catches his eye. A snake has twisted its way around the the branch above the birds and has slowly started moving its head towards the unsuspecting birds. Jimin watches only for a moment, eyes blinking blankly at the sight before him, before he turns away and continues walking along the path.
Death is apart of life. Everyone and everything dies eventually. Who is he to intervene?
Eventually, he makes it home. His mother sits outside the house, with a bow and a quiver full of arrows leaning against her chair.
“Jimin! Change your outfit and go hunting for us in the woods. Your father has had a disagreement with the local butcher about the quality of his meats, so he has refused to buy from there for awhile. We will have to catch our own meat for the time being. You’ve practiced how to shoot this thing everyday of your life. I’m sure you can catch us a few animals.”
Jimin sighs, but nods his head in agreement. His parents always think of themselves as superior beings compared to everyone else. They always see the worst in people, so much that Jimin is only allowed small windows of time everyday to roam the streets of the town. Meaning, his only human interactions that last longer than a minute are with his parents. His best friend is his horse Arion. He has a beautiful brown mane to match his slick brown coat, and Jimin loves taking him for rides across the fields. He really is one the fastest horses Jimin has ever known.
Jimin quickly changes and slings the quiver over his back and grabs the bow in his right hand, making his way into the forest past his house. Most people fear what could be lurking in the woods, but he has never been afraid. The forest is practically where he grew up. The beauty of the forest and the silence it carries with it amazes him every time.
Time passes by, but Jimin has only caught two rabbits so far. It seems that every animal is purposely avoiding him today. He tosses the dead rabbits by a nearby tree, and goes to sit against it’s base. He avoids the sharp branches, an olive tree he guesses, and sits down to wait.
A fluttering noise makes its way to his ears and he whips his head around to find the source. There, on a tree towards his left, sits a white owl. It doesn’t seem to have noticed him, and has it’s head turned in the opposite direction. Owl meat probably doesn’t taste good, but he is curious if he can actually shoot it down or not.
Slowly, he grabs an arrow from the quiver and aligns it with his bow, pointing the arrow right at the heart of the owl. Sweat drips down his forehead, but he strengthens his resolve, and let’s go.
It happens in slow motion. The arrow pierces the heart of the owl and it lets out a screech of pain. The owl falls and its lifeless body lands on the ground with a thud. Jimin can’t see the body because it falls behind another tree, so he jumps up and rushes over to where it lands.
Only to find his arrow on the ground with no owl.
Jimin’s eyebrows furrow in confusion and he whips his head around trying to locate the dead owl.
“I was hoping you would prove me wrong, but I guess I already knew what you were going to do.”
Jimin yelps and spins towards the source in surprise. A woman is standing behind him towards the tree line. She wears a long white chiton, and has an owl insignia on the center of it. Her grey eyes stare at him judgingly.
It’s the goddess Athena.
Jimin quickly averts his eyes and lowers his head. It’s disrespectful to stare at any god or goddess for too long without their permission.
“I’m angry over your impassiveness to life and death. You hunted my sacred owl for sport. You didn’t even think of the consequences!” She yells.
Jimin flinches and lowers his head even more, “I’m t-terribly sorry goddess Athena. I wish I had a reasonable excuse, but I do not,” he stutters out in fear. His hands start to tremble.
“We gods are always watching. I’ve been watching you for awhile now Jimin. I see what path you are going to follow in life if you continue to stay on this course.”
A tear rolls down Jimin’s face as he continues to tremble.
“You’re a kind child, but I cannot let this act be forgotten. You must be punished, and you must learn your lesson,” Athena continues as she steps closer to Jimin. He doesn’t move and stays frozen in place. She raises her hand, and places it on his forehead.
“Since you do not value death, from now on, everyone you fall in love with will be killed by your hands. It’s cruel, but I promise you though, there is a lesson to be learned from all of this. You’ll understand when you come across it.”
A heat radiates from Jimin’s head all throughout his body, and then it stops, being replaced by an eerie feeling. Athena steps back and walks towards the line of the woods and Jimin feels like crying.
“Oh and one last thing, you will never be able to tell anyone of what happened here. This curse is yours to bare alone,” Athena says before she disappears in the trees.
Jimin heaves out a sigh. That was terrifying. The trembling in his hands stops and he collapses to the ground.
He sits there for awhile, making sure she has gone. His body doesn’t feel any different, and he doesn’t feel cursed. I guess there worse curses out there. Jimin knows he won’t fall in love with anybody in this lifetime. He is already being married off to a man he is not sure he could ever come to love anyway.
It will just be his little secret for now.
***
1 year later
Jimin does end up marrying Dares from the neighboring family a month after his encounter with Athena. The two families are more than overjoyed at finally becoming one and the new couple settle in a house between the two villages. Even after escaping his parents though, Jimin still isn’t free. Dares fears other men will try to take Jimin away from him, so on the few occasions Jimin is able to go to town by riding his horse Arion, Dares is right by his side.
He confuses Jimin to no end. Sometimes he wants to strangle him, and other times he is so caring as they cuddle together in bed after sex. Dares isn’t a great man, but he isn’t terrible either. He doesn’t hit Jimin, but he lashes out in words and belittlement..
The door slams shut to their house as Dares storms in after Jimin. They have just returned from the market, where Jimin had a conversation with one of the local farmer boys about which is the best crop to purchase this time of year. Dares didn’t take too well to that.
“I saw the way he was looking at you,” he sneers, “and you even flirted back!”
“I didn’t flirt! It was called having a regular conversation with human being!”
This is how their arguments always go. By nightfall, however, it normally simmers out and they move on.
Dares grabs at Jimin’s waist and brings him into a hug, “I’m sorry I’m like this precious. You’re just so beautiful that I don’t want to share you with the rest of the world. I wake up with a smile on my face knowing you are there by my side.”
Jimin really shouldn't let those words affect him, but they do. He feels warm on the inside. Nobody has ever really said they truly care for him. He can’t help but fall for the man a little each day.
Because he never thought he would end up falling in love, he forgets about Athena’s curse for him. Until one night, after a huge argument, Dares cradles him in his arms and tells him he loves him while whispering sweet nothings in his ear. That is the first night sex actually feels like they are making love. Jimin is so happy that he falls asleep with a smile on his face.
The next morning Jimin decides to surprise Dares with breakfast in bed, so he slips away and heads to the kitchen. Their favorite type of breakfast was barley bread dipped in wine, so he grabs their pitcher of wine, and grabs a knife to cut the bread into edible sized pieces. Once he is done, he places everything on the try, including an extra loaf of bread, and makes his way back into their room.
He sets the tray down next to his husband’s side of the bed, but he must’ve been too loud, because Dares starts to stir and open his eyes. He blinks a few times to knock any leftover sleep from his body, and leans up on his elbows.
“Good morning my love, did you make-”
The rest of the sentence never leaves his mouth.
Because his throat has just been slit open by Jimin who stands above him with a knife gleaming in scarlet. There is no emotion on Jimin’s face as his husband slowly dies from blood loss in the bed below him. It is only when Dares is dead, his cold eyes staring up at Jimin, does he come to.
“Oh m-my. Dares? Dares!” Jimin screams as he flings the knife across the room and clutches his husband, “Dares! Stay with me!” He continues to scream.
Jimin stays like that all morning. Clutching the dead body of his husband as sobs rip through his body. It’s early afternoon once the tears finally start to dry, and Jimin starts to think rationally.
He can’t tell anyone of his curse, so everyone will just assume he killed him out of his own free will. Once they find out, he will surely be sentenced to death by the village people, including his parents.
His only real option is to escape and run away while he still can. To get a several day heads start if they do send people looking for him.
But where will I go? What town do I escape too? It has to be far away and bigger, so nobody will recognize me.
Athens.
Athens is perfect! It’s across the country, and it is the biggest town in all of Greece. Plus, Jimin has always wanted to see the ocean.
He rushes around the house and stuffs everything he will need in his pack, including all of the drachma they have in the house and his jewels. He will have to sell those in order to survive, but he is willing. With a pack full of items on his back, he carefully approaches the bed once last time and looks down on Dares.
I’m sorry this happened to you. For the sake of other’s lives, and for my sanity, I will never fall in love again.
With that, Jimin rushes outside and straddles Arion. The horse rushes across the fields towards the path leading away from the village, but Jimin slows him once at the top of the hill and turns his head to stare longingly at his hometown one last time.
Goodbye.
Part 3: The Boys Who Tempt Fate
3 Months Later
He finally made it. Athens. The heart of the Greek world filled with thousands of people. Bigger than his little village could ever hope to be. The coble streets of Athens stretch on as far as the eye can see. Houses and markets are in abundance everywhere, and on a mountain towards the center of the city sits the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena.
The blasted goddess who gave me this curse.
It was a long journey for Jimin. He’s never left his small village before in his life, so he had a lot of mishaps along the way. It seemed like someone was watching out for him though; for he only ran into kind people who helped him in his times of need. That was the only thing he had going for him as he finally entered the town from the north, a strange luck that didn’t feel all that promising to him. People flooded the streets all around him and he led his horse by the reigns along side alleys.
Because of the many citizens who reside in Athens, Jimin is able to blend in and start a new life easily. Although, he will now have to start working to make money. He won’t be able to rely on his parent’s wealth anymore. Considering that’s all he has done his whole life, he doesn’t have a lot of skills to make him hireable.
Don’t overwhelm yourself. First things first, find a place to stay for awhile.
With that in mind, Jimin takes to the town. The beauty of the bright colors and the marvelous architecture leave him with his mouth hanging open in awe half the time. As he ambles through the streets, he doesn’t have a goal in mind. He’s certain he’ll stumble upon an opportunity eventually. For now, he is taking in the sights of his new home.
Thrilling, yet terrifying at the same time.
After an hour or so of walking, an opportunity does arise, as up ahead stands a Inn for travelers. Those who only plan on staying temporarily in Athens. Jimin can use his leftover money and jewels from his old life to stay here for awhile until he finds permanent living arrangements.
There is a place for horses to be tied up out front, so he ties the reins there and enters through the front white archway. A woman sits behind a table in the center of the room. Jimin takes a moment to take in her appearance before entering further in. She has beautiful olive skin and light brown hair that flows past her shoulders, framing her small face. Once she notices Jimin’s presence, she gives him a bright smile and beckons him over.
“Good afternoon traveler. My name is Europa and I own this Inn. Are you interested in a room for an evening?” She asks, her voice has a softness to it that makes Jimin feel at ease.
He gives a small smile. “Actually, I would need a room for awhile,” he replies while taking out his puch full of drachma, “I recently decided to settle in Athens on my own, so I’ll be looking for accommodation and a place to work for awhile.”
Her eyes widen in surprise at that, “you’re all alone? That is a little dangerous.”
“It needed to be done.”
She nods her head and gives him an understanding look, “I have a room you can stay in until you decide to leave. I can also offer you a better deal though. You can keep a room, and I’ll offer you a price cut, as long as you work for me here at the Inn.”
Jimin’s is taken aback, “you want me to work here, for you, at this Inn?”
Standing up suddenly, she grabs a key and leads him down a corridor to a room at the end of it, “my sons are too old to help clean this place now. They’ve moved on to better jobs, and my back can’t handle bending over and cleaning like it used too,” she states while turning the key in the lock and pushing the door open.
It’s a considerably smaller room, with only one pale cream color accenting the walls. Inside is a small table, a counter to prepare food, and a singular bed pushed up against the wall. Certainly his parents would find it atrocious, but Jimin loved every part of it.
“I’ll take it. I can start working tomorrow if you would like?” He asks while setting his bag of clothes and supplies on the bed.
Europa laughs from the doorway, “take a few days rest. You’ve been traveling for awhile, so go out and explore the town.”
“Thank you so much! Your kindness has touched my heart,” Jimin smiles back, but suddenly remembers something, “my horse, Arion, what will happen to him?”
“Unfortunately you will have to sell him. I have no stable here for him, nor are we by any fields for him to run in. He would be better off with someone who has the means to take care of him.”
Jimin gives a small smile. Arion has been his horse for years, but he understands. It would be better for him this way.
Europa pushes herself off the doorframe and starts walking back down the corridor, “look on the bright side! You might get a large amount of drachma for him.”
Jimin sighs and looks around the room. It's better than nothing. He is tired but instead of resting, he decides to explore the town some more, and go see the precious ocean that he's heard so many stories about.
***
Jimin finally realizes why so many people fall in love with the sea. The crystal clear waters reflect the bright sunlight that showers the land in warmth. The seashells are colorful hues of various pinks and small fish swim all round. The water gently rocks against his feat and he soaks in the sunlight.
To the right of him, the docks are full of fishing boats and men walking about, hauling their daily catch in. To the left is the beach full of warm sand as it stretches on for as far as the eye can see.
He grows curious staring at the countless boats, so he slowly makes his way towards the docks and stands at the end on one watching people move around.
“Hello there!” Someone shouts from behind him, startling Jimin. He jumps in surprise while turning towards the noise. Behind him stands a boy around his age with light-gray colored hair and beautiful tan skin. He’s taller than Jimin and beams down at him with a boxy smile.
“Oh I’m sorry!” The boy says as he rushes forward and grabs one of Jimin’s hands in his. “I didn’t mean to startle you. I’ve never seen you around before so I thought I should introduce myself. I’m Taehyung!”
Jimin is a bit taken back with his friendly personality, but quickly drops it all in favor of wanting to make a friend. Jimin could use one of those right about now, after all, and this boy seems nice at least.
“My name is Jimin, and yes, I just settled here today.”
Taehyung seems to get even more excited at his words, “oh lovely! I love making new friends!” He exclaims while turning towards the nearest boat on the dock.
“Jungkook! Come say hello!” He calls out, “Jungkook is my beloved. He likes to jest a lot, but he’s really nice.”
Jimin looks towards where Taehyung called out to and sees a man who actually looks younger than Jimin walk up. He has a dark mop of hair on his head and muscles peeking out from his tunic. Jimin notes a little bitterly that he is also taller than him.
“Jungkook, meet Jimin. Jimin, this is Jungkook.”
Jungkook bows his head ever so slightly with a smile on his face, “it’s a pleasure to meet you Jimin. What brings you to Athens?”
Jimin hesitates for a moment, he really wants to tell them but his curse forbids him for saying. Luckily, both Jungkook and Taehyung seem to catch on.
“You don’t need to tell us,” Taehyung butts in, “we’ve only just met each other.”
Jimin offers up a small smile, “maybe one day, eventually.”
That seems to satisfy the duo, and all three find themselves sitting on the beach and sharing stories. By the time they are done, the sun is already starting to set in the sky. “I hope for us to become great friends, Jimin! We shall see you later!” Taehyung calls out as Jimin climbs the path up the hill back towards the town.
Exhaustion hits him once he makes it back to town, and he starts to weave between houses following the path. He is too exhausted to notice the man standing right in front of him. Jimin accidentally bumps into his back and staggers backwards a little bit, but before he could fall, a hand reaches out and wraps it’s way around his wrist.
Jimin blinks in surprise, forming an apology in his head and lifts his head up towards the stranger’s, only to promptly forget what he was even going to say. There, standing in front of him, is the most handsomest man he has ever seen. Black hair frames his face perfectly, and dark eyes stare right back into his. The stranger’s eyes widen slightly after making eye contact.
Jimin could fall in love right there on that street, which is exactly why he needs to leave.
“I’m sorry. I wasn’t aware of my surroundings,” he apologizes, removing his hand, “it won’t happen again,” he finishes while turning to leave.
“Wait,” a deep voice calls out to him, “it can get dangerous at this time of night, and you seem tired, so allow me to walk you home.”
Jimin turns back towards the mysterious man and sees that he has a slight glimmer of hope in his eyes. Jimin really should say no, but he just can’t bring himself too.
“If you insist.”
Throughout the walk they exchange names and some information about each other. Yoongi, owns a house outside of town and has his own field where he grows crops. Everytime he speaks he gets entranced by his deep, gravelly voice. Yoongi seems to be as mesmerized by Jimin as he is by Yoongi. It gives Jimin such a wonderful, yet dreadful feeling in his heart every time those dark eyes look his way.
Once they reach the Inn, Yoongi seems slightly surprised seeing that he is staying there.
“Do you not live here?”
“I actually just arrived in Athens today. I’ll be living here for the time being until I can afford a place of my own.”
Yoongi hums in consideration, “I’ll be happy to show you around whenever you have free time.”
And Jimin can’t find a single bone in his body to say no.
This is such a terrible idea.
***
Life becomes more routine with Jimin after the first couple of weeks. He learns how to properly clean the rooms in the Inn, and Jungkook and Taehyung both like to invite him on outings with them every once in a while. The most constant thing in his life right now is Yoongi though.
He shows up almost everyday to take Jimin around the town, even for just an hour. It’s extremely dangerous, Jimin knows, but he vows to step back if he starts to feel himself fall. It’s just hard to say no to Yoongi. Jimin catches him more than once staring at him as if he were the sun itself. Fitting, considering the new name that Yoongi calls Jimin.
“Hello again Sunshine,” Yoongi greets and walks towards the front of the Inn. Jimin just finished up cleaning the last room, so the rest of his day is free, “I was thinking that we could go for a walk on the path by the cliff’s edge towards the beach today.”
Jimin gives the man a bright smile, “Oh that would be lovely! I’ve been wanting to go there for awhile now.” Jimin’s heart stutters at the gummy smile he receives back.
Stop right now Jimin. You don’t want to repeat that deadly day.
As they start towards the beach, they pass by the market Jimin has come to love. So many new things are sold each day, but he only stops to marvel when he has time. He can’t afford anything nice until he has purchased a place of his own. Before he can snap out of his thoughts, Yoongi grabs his wrist and pulls him towards one of the jewelry stands.
“Yoongi what are you doing?” Jimin whispers and they stop in front of it. Yoongi turns his head and gives him a sly smile.
“I saw this earlier sunshine and I knew it would look perfect on you,” he replies while grabbing a necklace a lady from behind the counter gives him. “I bought it before I went to you, so you wouldn’t protest,” he continues as he lifts up the necklace.
Jimin gasps at the sight. The necklace is made out of gold and has a long golden chain. At the end of it hangs a pendant in the shape of the sun.
“This is too much Yoongi! I can’t accept this!” Jimin frets, but Yoongi’s smile just grows. He steps closer towards Jimin and reaches up to slide the chain over his head. He stares at the pendant hanging around the chain for a second longer before he lifts his eyes up towards Jimin’s.
“A beautiful pendant for a beautiful boy.”
Jimin blushes profusely and rips his eyes away from Yoongi’s gaze. They were treading very dangerous waters yet again. A hand makes its way towards Jimin’s again and pulls lightly to continue walking. Except this time it doesn't let go.
Jimin hears the ocean before he even sees it. The path along the cliffside is one of his favorite places in all of Athens because of the peacefulness and the smell of sea salt in the air. Jimin and Yoongi both seem to be content with walking in silence, taking in the sights and sounds around them.
Up ahead is an elderly couple walking towards them. The man is slightly hunched over while the woman has an arm around his back. He isn’t moving fast, but the woman just smiles at everything he says to her and she goes as slow as he wants her too. When the two couples eventually meet on the path, the woman stops are stares at the two with a smile.
“What a lovely couple. Are you two both enjoying the ocean breeze as well?”
JImin and Yoongi flush at her statement and their hands leave each other. “Oh we’re n-not a couple,” Jimin stutters.
“-yet.” Yoongi adds onto the end of his sentence. Jimin refuses to look at him as his blush increases.
The elderly couple laugh at their antics and smile, “it’s such a shame then. You get to learn and experience so many new things when you are with your beloved,” the lady replies while glancing down at the man. “I learn something new everyday with this one right here.”
Jimin makes a cooing noise as he smiles at the two. The couple begins to walk along the path again, but the woman glances back at the two with a knowing smile, “it would be wise to fall in love. You both might learn something when you do.”
***
Jimin and Yoongi go on many more outings after that day. And every single time Yoongi walks Jimin back to the Inn, he heads to his room and breaks down crying.
I have to stop this. I have to stop this.
Jimin is almost on the verge of loving Yoongi. He doesn’t want to leave him, but he doesn’t want to go either. Every time he cries, he prays to Athena to take away the curse. It’s breaking his heart. He even makes trips to the temple of Athena and prays there. Each prayer goes unanswered though.
He has to end it today. Yoongi plans on showing him his home in the forest, and on the walk back, Jimin will tell him they can no longer meet. It’s for the best.
Soon enough, Yoongi does come and they make their way towards his home. Once they leave town and begin their walk in the woods, Jimin instantly feels at home. The peaceful sounds of the forest animals and twigs snapping under their feet surround him with a feeling of nostalgia. Jimin loves the town, but he loves the forest even more.
He feels calm, despite what is going to happen at the end of the day. Yoongi stays silent beside him but keeps on glancing at his face with a smile. The forest eventually gives away to a field with a cottage in front of it.
“I always find it odd that your field is located right in the middle of a forest, and your harvest is always delicious.” Jimin states as they walk closer to the stone cottage with vines wrapping all around it. Jimin loves everything about it.
“Demeter blessed this land hundreds of years ago, and my ancestors were the ones to find it.” He replies while opening a door and, Jimin marvels at the sight. The whole place reminds him of a fairy’s house with how beautiful it is.
Yoongi begins to cut bread with a knife and sets everything on the table in the middle of the room. Laughter is shared over dinner as they enjoy each other’s company. Jimin is trying to enjoy this as much as he can, because he will never be like this again with Yoongi. Once dinner is over, Yoongi gives Jimin a tour of the cottage and the two end up back where they started, with Jimin leaning slightly against the table. Yoongi stands several feet away putting away the wine they drank.
“I enjoyed everything today, Yoongi. Truly, thank you for all that you have done for me.”
Yoongi glances over to him and Jimin averts his eyes and blushes. “Well, I really should be goi--”
And Jimin promptly gets the air knocked out of him as Yoongi grabs his head and kisses his lips. Hard.
He doesn’t even have time to process what is happening before Yoongi grabs Jimin by the waist and hoists him on the table, the kiss continuing to heat up. This is not at all how Jimin imagined it going for the first time. He thought it would be tentative and soft. Not frantic and scorching. But he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Yoongi licks at Jimin’s lips, asking for permission, and Jimin groans into the kiss once their tongues clash together. Yoongi partly hovers over him, so he has to place his hands behind him to steady himself.
The kiss naturally comes to an end and Yoongi leans back slightly with a grin on his face. Jimin smiles back with his eyes turning into crescents. He loves this man.
And the happy moment comes crashing down around them.
Yoongi gasps in shock as the knife is embedded in his chest. The knife from earlier that he left on the table behind Jimin.
Jimin’s face has no emotion and he grasps the handle tight to keep the knife where it is. He slowly starts to come back, and realization spreads across his face. He pulls the knife from Yoongi’s chest and throws it across the room.
His hands find Yoongi’s face, while the man seems frozen in shock over what has just happened. “Yoongi! Yoongi! I need to stay with me! I didn’t mean it!” Jimin screams over and over again while his tears flow. He did it again. He killed another.
“Yoongi we can patch up this wound! We can--” Jimin’s voice dies off as he looks at Yoongi’s chest. There is no gaping hole. There is no blood. He looks back up through tear covered eyes at Yoongi who is looking down with a look of fear and confusion. Before Jimin can say anything else, Yoongi rips himself out of Jimin’s grasp and slams open the door, running away.
“YOONGI!”
But he doesn’t turn around. He disappears into the forest and Jimin collapses on the ground in tears. He cries as the guilt of stabbing yet another man consumes him. He cries in confusion as to why Yoongi was healed. He cries because he has ruined the most beautiful thing he has ever experienced in life, love.
“Please please please!” He wails, “my whole life is this man. I have lived so much in the past few months than I ever have my whole life. If Yoongi dies, take me too, because there is no life without him. Death is cruel, and you’re cruel too!” He yells towards the sky through his tears.
He’s on his hands and knees when he hears her.
“I am cruel. But you have finally learned the value of life my boy.”
Jimin whips his head towards the door. Athena stood there in all her glory and she stared down at him with pity. He didn’t even care that it was disrespectful to look a goddess in the eyes. He stood up and glared her down.
“I’ve gone through much heartbreak because of you! Is my life doomed to be eternally alone?!” He yells his questions. The goddess doesn’t even flinch.
“No, that wasn’t your curse. That was Yoongi’s.”
Jimin’s sobs begin to stop as he stares at her in question. She explains the history of Yoongi and what he was cursed with. By the end, Jimin feels even more miserable Yoongi had to live through everything he did.
“I never truly wanted to hurt you Jimin. I saw your path. I knew it would bring you here, and I knew you would learn the lesson I tried to leave hidden in this curse. Now that you understand what it is, you are no longer cursed.” She explained while turning to leave.
Jimin feels a flare of joy spread through him, but the sorrow is still there, “wait! What of Yoongi?”
Athena looks back and gives him a knowing smile Jimin can’t help but feel he’s seen somewhere before, “that is for you two to decide. The path is now the both of yours. Follow it how you will.”
Part 4: The Boys Who Learned and Loved
Yoongi is running. He doesn’t know where, but he just has to escape. Jimin just stabbed him. The man he has fallen in love with just drove a blade right into the middle of his chest. There is no physical pain at being stabbed, but his heart feels like it’s been ripped in two.
The forest blurs around him as he continues to run on the path, no clear destination in mind. He thought Jimin and him were bonding so well. He was prepared to open himself up once again after so many years. He was prepared to give everything to his Sunshine.
Why are the gods so cruel?
He eventually runs out of breath and collapses against a tree, far enough away to clear his mind. His breathes are heavy as the sweat starts to drip down in forehead. Too lost in thought, he doesn’t realize that someone has watched him the whole time.
“Good evening young lad.”
Yoongi jerks away from the sound and snaps his eyes up. There, standing a few feet away, farther down the path in the old lady from the day Jimin and him walked along the cliff’s edge by the beach.
“G-good evening,” Yoongi forced out as he tried to catch his breath, “you’re the lady from the cliff right?”
The woman chuckled at the sight before her, “yes that was me. What’s got you in a hurry young man?”
Yoongi stood up and pushed himself away from the tree, trying to save some dignity, “nothing to concern you my lady. I thought a saw a wild animal, that’s all.”
She chuckled again, as if he saw through his blatant lie. Silence passes between them.
“Oh, it’s rude of me not to ask, but why are you walking this path at such a late hour by yourself? Where is your beloved from before?” Yoongi asked while glancing around, as if the man would appear from behind a tree. This idle small talk was letting him escape his reality for just a moment.
“He has passed.”
Yoongi’s eyes snapped back to her in surprise. The lady has a small smile on her face, but she doesn’t seem sad.
Yoongi is at a loss for words, “I’m terribly sorry to hear such news.” He offers in condolence.
The lady shakes her head at him, the smile still in place, “such is the way of life. I am lucky to have loved him. It means we both lived fulfilling lives.”
At this, Yoongi pauses. Yoongi always viewed eternal life as a blessing. Even if the ones he loved so long ago have died, he knows they are in a better place and he will join them someday. But…
It’s as if a shock goes through his system. Eternal life means nothing without Jimin. He would rather live one life with Jimin than a thousand without. He doesn’t want to wait around for the day that Jimin dies, only for him to think that he would meet him again one day. No, he would want to enter the Fields of Elysian together, for he knew Jimin would end up there in death.
Even if he did just stab me in the chest.
Too lost in his thoughts over the realization, he doesn’t notice the wind blowing around him or the shifting of feet before him.
“Mortal.”
For the second time in the last few minutes, Yoongi is started out of his thoughts and lifts his eyes back to the old lady. But instead of finding her, he comes face to face with the goddess Athena herself. He averts his eyes quickly and freezes in place even more. Becoming almost rigid in form.
“Where is the woman that was standing with me from before?” Yoongi questions.
He hears Athena chuckle, her laugh surprising the same as the elder’s, “I am the woman from before, and I was her last time we met as well. She is one of my various human forms I choose to take.”
Yoongi flicks his eyes back to hers in question, “but the man. Wouldn’t he have known?”
She offered a small smile again, “he has always known who I was. I met him when he was much younger, and whenever I come to the mortal world, I disguise myself as his age so we could be together just a little longer without the worries of the world around us.”
Yoongi gasps slightly, “you loved him?”
“I still do. I made sure he was brought to the Field of Elysian along with the others I have loved over the centuries.”
Yoongi stays silent at the revelation. Not knowing what to say.
“For you see Yoongi, I have fallen in love many times. And they all die in the end, but, their lives hold so much meaning when we are together. They all tell me on their deathbed that they have loved every moment, but I am the one who has to live on without them. It is part of the curse of being immortal. I wanted you to realized when I placed this curse upon you. I never had any intention of you to live forever. I just wanted you to learn the lesson I placed in your curse. And you did. In the form of a boy named Jimin.”
Yoongi blushes slightly and casts his eyes down once more, “well, that boy just tried to kill me.”
He hears a snicker from her, and then a full laugh that escapes her lips. He looks at her in bewilderment as she continues to laugh her airy laugh. She calms down with a chuckle and smiles at him.
“The boy loves you with all his heart. He also had a curse I placed on him. He did not value life, so my curse to him was to kill anyone he ever fell in love with. His first love he killed back in his home village, so he fled to Athens and met you. He couldn’t resist falling for you more and more each day. He also couldn’t speak about the curse, just like yours.”
Yoongi feels a spark of hope flood through his body. Jimin didn’t try to kill him willingly. He was forced to because he loved him!
“The ambrosia I gave you before wasn’t pure ambrosia. I added my own little ingredient that would allow me to lift your immortality once you learned our lesson, and you have.”
Yoongi feels a coldness spread through his body, and then disappear all together. He quickly runs to the nearest sharp rock and nicks himself on it. The blood flows out of the small wound, and it doesn’t close up to heal itself. The sight brings a bright smile to his face, and a breathless laugh soon after.
I’m free! I’m mortal again!
Athena looks on at him with a genuine smile on her face, “go to Jimin. He is currently in your home devastated by what he has just done. Comfort him and rejoice in your love.”
Yoongi turns to leave, but is suddenly struck with a thought, “did you plan for us to meet eventually? This seems too coincidental.”
Athena, already returning to the woods, turns and offers him a sly smile, “of course not. I have no control over these things,” she replies her wicked smile deepening..
And with that, she was gone.
Yoongi runs back to the house as fast as he can. He can not allow Jimin to lose himself in his despair a moment longer. The cottage soon comes into view and he bursts through the door with all his might. There, right where he left him, is Jimin, crying by the table. At the sound of the door being opened forcefully, Jimin whips his eyes towards the sound.
“Y-yoongi! Yoongi! I’m so sorry! I can explain everything--”
He doesn’t get the chance to finish his sentence, because Yoongi is crossing the small distance between them and is silencing Jimin with a searing kiss. Jimin doesn’t question it and kisses back. They’ve only shared one kiss before, but he already misses the feeling.
The kiss ends slowly and they both separate, but not far. Yoongi rests his forehead against Jimin’s and stares into his eyes, “I know everything Sunshine. I understand.”
A visible wave of relief shows on Jimin’s face. He surges forward again and kisses Yoongi, hard. Neither are ready for it, so teeth awkwardly knock together. However, both laugh with joy into the kiss.
Yoongi could get used to this.
***
The breeze blows Yoongi’s hair in every direction. He would be more annoyed with it if not for Jimin’s giggles off to the side off him. He guesses he can endure for his Sunshine’s sake.
They are standing atop one of the many hills by the ocean cliffside. Like most days, it’s beautiful out, with the sun showering them in a warm glow. The smell of sea salt is in the air and the ocean waves gently crash upon the shore below them.
“They would have loved you,” Yoongi speaks out from the ground and he has one arm wrapped around Jimin’s waist. He can feel Jimin’s eyes on him, but he continues to look out at the ocean, “especially Hoseok. He would have teased us to no end if we ever did anything together in front of him.”
“I’m glad you’ve told me about them,” Jimin starts while resting his head on Yoongi’s shoulder, “from the stories you’ve told me, they seem like they were great friends.”
Yoongi sighs with a small smile, “yeah, they were. And now, I’ll be able to see them again eventually after this life is over. I’ll meet them again one day, and they will welcome the both of us with open arms.”
Silence stretches out all around them, and Yoongi smiles. Many things have happened in the last few months after the curses were lifted. Jimin moved in with Yoongi, so he wouldn’t have to stay at the Inn anymore. He also started working at one of the baker’s stores alongside Taehyung. Yoongi was introduced to Jungkook and Taehyung, and the four of them enjoyed each other’s company immensely.
After awhile, Yoongi snuggles Jimin’s head in an attempt to get him up, “time to go home Sunshine.”
Jimin gives him a beaming smile with his eyes turning into crescents, “let’s go home, love.”
Back at the cottage the sun is already setting by the time they decide to go to bed. Jimin’s body is halfway on top of Yoongi’s as he tries to seek warmth. His face snuggled right up against Yoongi’s neck.
He seems content with falling asleep right there, but Yoongi isn’t. He is too distracted by the slight feeling of Jimin’s lips accidentally brushing against his neck. Slowly, he brings a hand up to Jimin’s thigh and starts tracing patterns on the skin. He can feel Jimin’s lips smile against his neck. With his other hand, he brushes it up and down on Jimin’s back until he brings it lower and softly grabs one of his asscheeks.
Jimin gasps into his neck and starts pushing his ass backwards into his palm, while peppering Yoongi’s neck in kisses, pausing for a moment to suck harder at one spot. Yoongi groans and raises both hands to Jimin’s waist. The younger letting out a small whine at the loss of contact.
A gasp soon leaves his throat and Yoongi lifts him up and sets him down so Jimin is straddling his waist. Their eyes meet, and despite the heat traveling between their touches right now, they both give each other bright smiles full of love. The gold sun pendant is still hanging down from Jimin’s neck.
“I love you so much Sunshine. I’ll prove it to you everyday for the rest of my life. You know?”
“I know,” Jimin giggles and leans forward so that his mouth is only inches away from Yoongi’s. Eyes still maintaining contact with each other, the necklace pooling between their two chests, “I love you so much as well, my love. You don’t have to prove anything. I feel your love for me everyday.”
Yoongi can’t hold out and longer and he grabs Jimin’s face to bring him in for a kiss. There is a time and place for passionate sex, but for right now, he wants it to be gentle and loving. The love that Jimin deserves.
The kiss delves deeper, but it continues to stay gentle. Yoongi slowly parts Jimin’s lips with his own and he pushes his tongue in, earning a moan from Jimin. They kiss for awhile, trying to push love into every movement. Eventually, it isn’t enough for Jimin, because he starts to whimper as he slowly rocks his waist against Yoongi’s.
“Yoongi please,” Jimin whines into his mouth. A small smile makes its way onto Yoongi’s face as he slides his hands up Jimin’s sides and takes the sleeping tunic off over his head, leaving a naked Jimin underneath. The rocking of their hips together has already made him hard to the touch and he mewls at the contact of Yoongi’s hands coming back down and grabbing his ass.
“T-take yours off,” Jimin gasps as Yoongi’s mouth finds one of his nipples, “p-please.”
Yoongi wraps his arms around Jimin’s back and flips them over, so he is now hovering over Jimin. He sits back on his knees between Jimin’s thighs and lifts the tunic off over his head, casting it to the side. Jimin’s eyes travel across Yoongi’s body, appreciating it before glancing back up at his face, biting his bottom lip. Yoongi surges forward and kisses Jimin again while trailing his hand down Jimin’s chest.
A hand eventually finds its way to Jimin’s cock, already hard and wet with precome. Jimin mewles at the contact.
“My pretty Sunshine,” Yoongi rasps into his mouth, “you make the most beautiful noises. I wonder what other sounds you’ll make?” Yoongi questions as he lowers his head as well. Placing kisses all over Jimin’s chest. The younger whimpers at each one. Jinim thinks he is finally going to get his release, but Yoongi justs sits up. They make eye contact again with small smiles at each other before Yoongi reaches for the table by their bed and grabs a small vial of scented oil.
He pours part of the oil onto his fingers, and without warning, starts sucking at the tip on Jimin’s cock and rubbing at his hole with one finger. Jimin cries out in pleasure and brings his hands down towards Yoongi’s hair to grab hold.
Very carefully, Yoongi pushes one finger in and starts to slowly finger him all while suckling at his cock. This is how Yoongi distracts him from the initial sting. He takes more and more of Jimin into his mouth as he adds more fingers, soon with three moving around and brushing at his prostate.
“Y-yoongi please please I need you,” Jimin cries from above him. Yoongi lets go over Jimin’s cock and slips his fingers out, having Jimin whine at the loss of contact, “please.”
Yoongi grabs the vial again and lathers up his own cock to make the stretch easier while lining himself up with Jimin’s hole. He glances up to meet Jimin’s eyes and he gives him a small nod. Soon, Yoongi is slowly pushing into Jimin’s heat. Jimin cries out and Yoongi instantly stops.
“No, no k-keep going,” Jimin moans while grabbing at Yoongi. He slips farther in until he is flush against Jimin’s ass and drops down so he can kiss Jimin. They stay like that for awhile until Jimin gets used to the stretch. He gives Yoongi a small nod.
Yoongi starts off slow, rocking back and forth creating a delicious friction. He wants this to last long. He wants it to be sweet and savory. They both continue kissing each other. Trying to feel all the love being passed between them.
After awhile, they both become impatient and Yoongi begins to rock harder, not brutal, but hard enough so he could hit the bundle of nerves in Jimin each time. Both are panting in each other’s ear as they reach their ends. Yoongi rocks into Jimin a few more times before Jimin comes with a whine, ass clenching onto Yoongi and he chases after his own release.
“Come for me, my love,” Jimin whispers in his ear and the sound of his voice pushes Yoongi over the edge as he releases into Jimin.
He collapses on top of him right after and Jimin giggles at the extra weight.
“Give me a moment sunshine,” Yoongi breathes onto his neck. Jimin just continues to laugh as he wraps his arms around Yoongi’s body. Eventually Yoongi gets up and pulls out of Jimin’s hole, causing the younger to whine in discomfort.
“Shhh, let me clean you up,” Yoongi says as he kisses the top of Jimin’s head and grabs a cloth from nearby. He wipes them both of their sweat and come, and throws the cloth by his discarded tunic before he snuggles back in bed with Jimin. Their bodies naturally curling around each other as they level their faces and smile.
Jimin leans forward and kisses Yoongi briefly on the lips before he burrows into Yoongi’s neck and attempts to fall asleep.
“I love you Yoongi.” Jimin mumbles, already drifting off into sleep.
Yoongi sighs in happiness and closes his eyes, “I love you too sunshine.”
The End
