In Hawkins, things are finally starting to feel… normal.
With the kids — Will, Jonathan, Eleven and the rest of the gang — off on a two-week camping trip, everyone hopes for a well-earned break after everything they’ve been through together.
Back home, Jim Hopper is getting used to the quiet… and maybe thinking a little too much about Joyce Byers.
But when Joyce receives an unexpected call from her ex-husband, Lonnie, that quiet doesn’t last long. He’s coming back to Hawkins and he clearly has his own ideas about reconnecting.
Not ready to face him alone, Joyce comes up with a plan: if Lonnie thinks she’s already moved on, he might back off. Which means Hopper has just agreed to play the role of her boyfriend.A simple plan… at least on paper.
