Summary
There’s no crisis to his realization. It doesn’t hit him like a ton of bricks. The thought just appears in his brain and Steve accepts it because subconsciously, he’s always known. From the young male teacher Steve couldn’t stop thinking about in fifth grade to having to force himself to not stare at the other guys in the locker rooms in high school, Steve always knew. He just never wanted to accept it. He doesn’t know what changed.
“I like guys.”
The only response Steve gets from Robin is, “You realized!”
Steve’s mouth drops open. “You knew?”
“Of course I did,” She says, waving it off. Steve scoffs. He can't believe she's serious. “You haven’t exactly been subtle about it. Especially considering, well, y’know.”
Steve furrows his eyebrows and crosses his arms. “Actually, I don’t know.”
It is not the first time since he’s known Robin that he has absolutely no idea what she is talking about.

Summary
Steve opens his mouth to say something incredibly cheesy and stupid, like the lovestruck fool he is, but is interrupted before he can say anything. He expects it to be a fan; he’s entirely wrong.
A young woman stands smiling in front of them. “You two are absolutely adorable,” she practically squeals. “How long have you been together?”
“Oh,” Bucky blurts out, eyes widening. “We’re, uh, not together. Just friends.”
He shakes his head and motions between him and Steve with his pointer finger. It shouldn’t hurt as much as it does, but a sharp pain travels through Steve’s chest at how quickly Bucky dispels any notion of them being in a relationship.
