Summary
V takes on the heist of the century only to end up in a land fill. It isn't silence that occupies her head, or darkness, but a memory as she drifts off to an eternal slumber. A memory of Mama Welles holding a hand that isn't hers, calling her Jackie, and all that she recalls is the words, "Look I'm bullet proof. Nothing bad'll ever happen to me."
There is no Johnny Silverhand, Aka Jackie Welles is in the relic instead of Johnny. I really can't do this concept justice in the summary but, this is an AU, so a lot is going to be changed, most notably all endings involving Johnny, Rogue...all that. There is a new path now, one where it will take every ounce of V to find her footing. This is what I would've hoped cyberpunk to have been. This story is heavy, and it has caused me to mess with the lore a lot. This is my take on this concept if there has been other works with this idea. Enjoy.
