   Summary

   In the tenth year of the Trojan War, the Achaeans receive reinforcements from their homelands. During the welcome banquet, one of the newly arrived kings, Schedius, son of Iphitus, leader of the Phocians, publicly humiliates Patroclus by calling him "Achilles’ pórnoi", as it is said in Hellas.
