Summary
Sylvia can't sleep. She never can rest easy when she's not sharing the bed with Xylas, but he had forbidden her from his bedroom ever since she got better after going through the ordeal of having him exorcise the deamon that was within her. A former daemonhost and an Inquisitor of the Holy Inquisition shouldn't mingle. And yet he's the only man that not only saved her, but also sees her past what she was.
She can't sleep and so she goes to him, hoping that maybe tonight he won't turn her away.
“You better go back.”
“I don’t want to.” She admits and where he expects her to pout as he has seen her do countlessly, she just looks at him with a pleading, almost shy look. Then her eyes drift to his chest and he can’t help but allow himself a small, private smile.
